The Impact of Anthropocentrism on Human–Nature Relations and Its Implications for Environmental Ethics
The escalating ecological crisis demands a fundamental shift in how humans perceive nature, including through early childhood education. This article aims to analyze the representation of anthropocentrism’s impact in Riri Cerita Anak Interaktif videos and to evaluate its implications for fostering environmental ethics in children. This study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, using flow analysis and hermeneutic techniques. Data were collected through observation and note-taking from 67 purposively selected videos on the Riri Cerita Anak Interaktif YouTube channel, based on criteria concerning the representation of anthropocentric impacts on human–nature relations and their implications for environmental ethics. The findings revealed that the videos symbolically represent the impacts of anthropocentrism through the transformation of living beings and environmental changes that emphasize ecological imbalance. The narratives embed ecocentric values such as respect for the intrinsic worth of living beings, the importance of biodiversity, limitations on exploitation, and critiques of human domination and interference with nature. Furthermore, the narratives advocate for ideological change, systemic transformation, and collective responsibility for environmental sustainability. This study concludes that Riri Cerita Anak Interaktif functions as an educational medium that conveys environmental ethics messages in an immersive manner and holds potential in shaping children's ecological awareness. The study recommends further research using audience reception approaches and extending the scope of analysis to cross-cultural children’s media to strengthen contributions to digital ecological literacy
Prompting ChatGPT for Translation: Lexical and Syntactical Customization in Translation of “The Tree Rhyme”
With the advancement of ChatGPT, scholars are delving deeper into the tool's ability to generate various texts, including literary texts. It becomes potential due to the lack investigations on prompting ChatGPT for translating children’s nursery rhymes, particularly in Indonesia, making to the novelty of this study. This article demonstrates how ChatGPT reacts to different prompts when translating a nursery rhyme “The Tree Rhyme”, by concentrating on the lexical and syntactical customization. This preliminary investigation was conducted in three phases: 1) prompt design, which includes one basic prompt functioning as a baseline for comparison and three other prompts functioning as clues to explain the case of linguistic customization; 2) text generation, which takes a level-2 nursery rhyme book entitled “The Tree Rhyme” from a digital repository, StoryWeaver; and 3) linguistic customization evaluation, which was done by comparing ChatGPT’s translations in response to the four provided prompts and observing the lexical and syntactical customization. The findings reveal that ChatGPT's lexical customization includes changing the last word of stanzas, reducing the number of syllables, subtracting words, and displaying child-friendly expressions. These modifications cannot result in translations that maintain the original text's rhyme scheme. Regarding the syntactical customization, ChatGPT generates concise structures containing aspects of children's literature by reordering, unit shifting, sentence simplification, direct construction, and phrase simplification, but still unable to replicate the ST’s rhyme scheme. In conclusion, ChatGPT changes diction and simplifies sentences when reacting to cues to translate the nursery rhyme, but it cannot preserve the ST’s rhyme scheme
Pronunciation Errors in Producing English Bilabial Consonants Sounds by Korean Speakers
Every language has a unique system of vowel and consonant sounds, for example, English has five (5) vowels and 21 consonants. Others like in Korean language, it has ten (10) vowels, and nineteen (19) consonants. Since every language has a different set of vowel and consonant systems, it might affect to the differences in the pronunciation of each sounds in each of the languages. Cho (2020) theory states that pronunciation errors result from the transfer of Korean phonological processes to English and the inability to acquire English phonological processes. This study observed three Korean natives, live in South Korea, and have no history of a mother tongue other than Korean. The three participants also came from different backgrounds and English-speaking experiences. The data were taken by recording and examining some English words contained and related to English bilabial consonant sounds. The voice recordings were analyzed to find the differences in their pronunciation applying the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) according to the standard English pronunciation. The finding showed that 1) the Korean speakers were able to pronounce the English Bilabial plosive and nasal /p, b, m/ at the beginning and middle of the word, but there was a tendency to add an extra vowel when the Bilabial consonant plosive /p, b/ placed at the end of the word, 2) the voiceless bilabial plosive /p/ was taken as a substitution consonant for the words that contained fricative consonant /f/, 3) the voiced labial-velar approximant /w/ was not pronounced correctly by having the two lips moving closer, but it was pronounced by either sounding the vowel [ʊ] first or [o] first. Those errors were caused by the different sound systems in Hangeul that influences the speakers’ English pronunciation
BRIDGING KNOWLEDGE AND ACADEMIC INTEGRITY: AI INTEGRATION FOR TPACK DEVELOPMENT IN EFL TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM
Recent research indicates that generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) such as ChatGPT has great potentials to support English as a foreign language (EFL) preservice teachers (PSTs) to develop their technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) during their studies in teacher education programs (TEPs). How these PSTs view academic integrity while using GenAI and apply it for TPACK development are still unknown. Looking at the above gaps, this study aimed at exploring how EFL PSTs use GenAI to develop their TPACK and perceived academic integrity. This study recruited eight EFL PSTs in an Indonesian public education university using a basic qualitative methodology. This study employed semi-structured interviews and researchers’ notes to collect the data. The data in this work was analyzed using inductive thematic analysis. The results revealed that participants used AI for language skill development and for content creation as well as task assistance. The results also showed that they knew the potential risks of GenAI on academic integrity, had their own strategies for maintaining academic integrity when using GenAI, and had good impressions of academic integrity in AI-assisted learning. This study drew several theoretical and practical implications to support the application of GenAI in TEPs
Infertilitas dan Adopsi Embrio dalam Bioetika Katolik
The number of infertile couples is growing up. The declining of fertility happens almost in all countries, both in developed countries and in underdeveloped countries. There are many causes of the declining: the success of birth control, changing in nutrition, changing in lifestyle, postponed of marriages, etc. Infertility can happen in man (husband) or in woman (wife) or in both. We do not know for sure the number of infertile couples, but it is estimated that they are big number. The Catholic Church is called to help the infertile couples with the best solution in conformity with human dignity and can be accepted morally. One of the available solutions is embryo adoption, although it has some conflicting moral principles. Embryo adoption is chosen because we cannot let them to be aborted or killed.
ANIMATION AND CULTURAL RESISTANCE IN IRAN: A THEMATIC ANALYSIS OF PERSEPOLIS, WINDOW HORSES, AND TEHRAN TABOO
Animation has long served as a powerful medium for cultural resistance, providing a platform for marginalized voices to challenge dominant narratives, critique oppressive systems, and express identity. However, despite a growing body of scholarship on cultural resistance in authoritarian contexts, few studies have investigated full-length animated films produced by or about Iranians as sites of ideological contestation. This article maps how animation, particularly works created in exile, functions as a potent medium of cultural resistance that subverts state censorship and challenges dominant narratives in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Drawing on qualitative visual and narrative data from Persepolis (2007), Window Horses (2016), and Tehran Taboo (2017), the study interprets these films through a framework of critical discourse and ideological analysis. Rather than merely documenting repression, the films collectively reveal how cultural resistance is enacted through female agency, poetic expression, and everyday defiance embedded in urban and diasporic spaces. These acts of dissent are often subtle yet deeply political, highlighting the resilience of Iranian identity in the face of surveillance, displacement, and moral control. Ultimately, the study underscores the strategic role of animation in circulating marginalized voices across national borders, offering valuable insights into the dynamics of resistance in tightly controlled media environments
PEMANFAATAN ALAT PERAGA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN IKATAN HIDROGEN: SOSIALISASI VISUAL DNA DI SMAK MENARA TIRZA
Community service is one of the three pillars of higher education, alongside education and research, which aims to bring scientific knowledge directly to the community. This community service activity was conducted through an interactive socialization program on hydrogen bonding in DNA for students at SMA Kristen Menara Tirza. The program utilized a visual teaching aid developed by the Physics Study Program at Matana University to support understanding of abstract molecular structures such as the DNA double helix. The activity involved presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and two-way discussions using the teaching aid. Thirteen students from grade 12 participated in the session, which included pre-tests and post-tests to evaluate learning outcomes. The average test score increased from 35.38 to 55.38, indicating an improvement. Based on this result, all students agreed or strongly agreed that the teaching team mastered the material and presented it engagingly and that the activity was beneficial to their learning. This program shows that a socialization method supported by visual teaching aids significantly improves student comprehension of complex scientific concepts. It is recommended that similar programs be implemented more widely and supported with the development of digital or interactive learning tools to reach broader audiences

SVM and Ensemble Majority Voting Algorithm on Sentiment Analysis of Using chatGPT in Education
The pros and cons of using ChatGPT in education have caused academic debate as it has influenced current educational praxis. Discussions about the possibility of ChatGPT for writing manuscripts or doing assignments are rife on social media, one of which is Twitter. The purpose of this study is to understand the public perception of the use of ChatGPT in education. The proposed method is sentiment analysis with SVM and Majority Voting algorithms. SVM is one of the superior algorithms in pattern recognition and is suitable for use in classification. The Majority Voting ensemble algorithm combines independent algorithms' prediction results. In this research, majority voting uses three base classifiers, namely Naïve Bayes, Random Forest, and KNN. The results of the study showed that the accuracy of SVM is 83.6% and Majority Voting is 85.4%, with the accuracy of the NB, RF, and KNN base classifiers of 76.82%, 80.91%, and 74.5%, respectively. This proved that the Majority Voting Ensemble is superior to individual algorithms with higher accuracy values. This follows the results of previous research, where the ensemble performs better than the individual algorithm. The accuracy values of SVM and the Ensemble Majority Voting models showed that both models could successfully classify sentiment on tweet data for using ChatGPT in education
