Analisis Naratif Mukjizat Penyembuhan dalam Markus 7: 31-37: Makna Tindakan Yesus dan Implikasinya
The various miracle narratives that are found in the Gospel do not merely depict supernatural events, but also convey profound theological and social messages. The Story of the healing of a deaf and mute man in Mark 7: 31-37 is one example of a biblical narrative that highlights the dimensions of inclusivity and universality in the ministry of Jesus. This study analyzes the narrative of the healing miracle of a deaf and mute man in Mark 7: 31-37 using a narrative analysis approach. This approach focuses on the story’s boundaries, geographical context, plot structure, Jesus’ symbolic actions, and characterization. The analysis reveals that this story affirms the universality of Jesus’ ministry that transcends Jewish ethnic boundaries, while also unveiling symbolic actions rich in theological meaning. Jesus’ personal engagement and the crowd’s response to the miracle reflect inclusivity and compassion that remain relevant for contemporary readers. The study also offers a critical reflection on contemporary social realities, particularly regarding discrimination against people with disabilities and marginalized groups. It calls upon the Church and society to build inclusive communities as a manifestation of God’s universal love. Therefore, this biblical narrative not only presents a historical miracle but also conveys profound theological and pastoral messages about love and inclusiveness in Jesus’ ministry.
Belief is a difficult thing to express, especially if we are already disappointed. Similarly, Thomas did not immediately believe the other disciples' testimony regarding Jesus' resurrection. He was often called a doubter because of this attitude. His faith in Jesus was considered weak. In fact, he who initially confidently followed Jesus now does not believe in Him. He still doubts Jesus' divinity. Today, many people, especially young people, also experience situations similar to Thomas's. They often question their faith. This article uses a library study method. The sources used are books and journal articles available on the internet. The results of the study show a relationship between John 20:24-29 and the faith of young people who experience many challenges. The challenges they face in their lives of faith are also increasingly complex. Young people often doubt or even lose faith in their faith. The role of parents and the church in providing education and passing on spiritual values is crucial. Young people need a mature faith to face the various challenges of faith today. The figure of Thomas can be an example for young people who experience wavering in their faith. In the midst of their shaky faith, it is hoped that young people will also be able to become like Thomas who acknowledged Jesus as Lord and Allah.
Nicea Council and Nurcholish Madjid on Human Dignity: a Way of Dialog
One of the discussions in the Council of Nicea was that man was created in the Imago Dei (the image of God). With the presence of Christ as God incarnate, this understanding is further affirmed, that man has sacred value and ultimate goal in relation to God. In line with that, Nurcholish Madjid, who is one of the Islamic figures in Indonesia, also has interesting thoughts about human beings, especially about human dignity. His thinking is based on Islamic teachings about humans being created as representatives of Allah in this world. This theme of human dignity is important, especially when viewed from two perspectives, Catholicism (in the Council of Nicaea) and Islam (in Nurcholish Madjid's thought). The hope is the creation of a dialogue of thought between two different cultures for the sake of creating harmony and mutual understanding. Therefore, this article wants to answer the question of How did Nurcholish Madjid and the Council of Nicea think about human dignity? The author tries to see the connection between the points of thought in the council of Nicaea and the points of thought of Nurcholish Madjid. Using the Appreciative Inquiry and interculturality approach, the author wants to dialogue these two thoughts and find out what things are related to each other. This paper argues that both Nicea and Madjid contribute valuable insights into the discourse on human dignity. This common view can be a way of dialogue between Islam and Catholicism so that harmony can be created in religious life

Peran Ibu dalam Pendidikan Anak di Keluarga Berdasarkan Dokumen Amoris Laetitia
Mothers play a crucial role in educating children within the family, a perspective also emphasized by Pope Francis. This study aims to explain the Pope's views on the role of mothers in child education. Data were collected through a literature review. Three main focuses were explored: the specific roles of mothers in children's education, the contributions mothers should make to children's personal development, and how mothers can carry out their roles. The research findings indicate that mothers educate children through nurturing, providing role models, and developing character. These three aspects help children grow in a safe and comfortable environment, act fairly in social relationships, empathize in communication, and care about social and environmental issues.
The Saint Peter's Cathedral in Bandung has continued to broadcast Mass online, both daily and weekly, through the YouTube account of the Communications Commission of the Archdiocese of Bandung, even in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period. After the pandemic, congregants have been allowed to attend Mass in person at the church. Consequently, the online Mass broadcasts from Saint Peter's Cathedral have lost the urgency they once held during the pandemic. Is the online broadcasting of Mass still necessary for the faithful? The researcher has selected the Youth Catholic Community (OMK) at Saint Peter's Cathedral as the subject of the study. This group primarily consists of Generation Z, known for their familiarity with the internet and digital environments. Generation Z is generally more comfortable in the virtual realm than in the physical one. The research employs a quantitative methodology, with data collected via an e-questionnaire using Google Forms, which was distributed to OMK members through WhatsApp. The hypothesis of this study posits that OMK, as representatives of Generation Z, prefer online Mass over in-person attendance.
Relationship Between Perceptions Of Flu Advertisement With Self-Medication Behavior In The Community Of Sungai Besar Sub-District, Banjarbaru Selatan
Flu is one of the diseases that can be treated with self-medications, and information about these drugs is often obtained through advertisements on television, which will influence self-medication behavior. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between perceptions of cold medicine advertisements and self-medication behavior using cold medicines. The method used in this study was an analytic survey with a cross-sectional research design and the sampling technique used was quota sampling. The sample of this study was 94 respondents with the majority of sample aged 17-27 years, female, high school/vocational high school graduates, who work as housewives. The results showed that respondents' perceptions of drug advertisements in self-medications were 10.64 % of respondents were affected and 89. 36 % of respondents were not affected. The self-medication behavior done by the respondents was 65.96% rational and 34.04% irrational. The results of the chi-square analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between perceptions of cold medicine advertisements and self-medication behavior using cold medicines (p value = 0.225). The results of the evaluation and the completeness of advertisements for cold medicine on television showed that some advertisements for cold medicines broadcast on television were still incomplete and inappropriate. The importance of rational use of medications should be a guide in all self-medication for the safety and maintenance of public health
Development of Chemometric Methods for Determining Caffeine Content in Robusta Coffee as Alternative Standardization Techniques
There is a necessity for standardization to uphold coffee quality due to its frequent production and consumption. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) serves as the benchmark for caffeine analysis in coffee in Indonesia. However, its high cost has prompted the exploration of alternative methods. This study aims to obtain a suitable alternative method for determining the caffeine content in robusta coffee as an effort toward standardization. Employing statistical and mathematical techniques in chemistry, chemometrics emerges as a promising alternative in analyzing caffeine in coffee. The approach was integrated with an ultraviolet (UV) spectrophotometer capable of analyzing substances across wavelengths from 200 to 400 nm. From the five replications, the HPLC method showed a caffeine content of 1.435 ± 0.011% (w/w), while the spectrophotometer showed a content of 1.723 ± 0.003% (w/w). Through the partial least squares regression (PLSR) and principal component regression (PCR) methods in RStudio, the results obtained were 1.432 ± 0.003% and 1.430 ± 0.002% (w/w), respectively. These results indicate good REP values of 0.022% for PLSR and 0.155% for PCR. With these findings, it is hoped that chemometrics can become an alternative method for analyzing caffeine in coffee
Terrified Girls and Furious Boys: Does the Discourse around face and eyes in British Children's Fiction Reinforce Gender Stereotypes?
Language in context frequently reflects conscious or unconscious gender stereotypes. With children's literature, this may contribute to the development of a stereotypical gender identity. This study examines the linguistic context of two body parts, face and eyes, in two corpora of British children's fiction: adventure books aimed at 'boys and girls', and school and family stories aimed at girls only. Both corpora comprise texts from the mid-twentieth century, which is regarded as a period of strong gender polarisation, and specifically popular rather than prizewinning texts. Analysis employed LancsBox 6.0 corpus software. Faces and eyes may both be used to express emotion, and particular emotions have been associated with traditional binary gender stereotypes. It was hypothesised that these corpora would demonstrate such binary stereotyping. The study found considerable overlap between the two genres, but some distinctions suggesting that the literature for girls was somewhat less stereotyped than that aimed at a mixed readership. The expression of some emotions, such as fear and anger, tended to suggest stereotypical linking of these emotions with a particular gender, although less strongly than has been found in some other studies. It is hoped that these findings will contribute to our understanding of how a child's developing gender identity may be influenced
