Indonesia is taking proactive steps to enhance disaster resilience and safeguard its citizens through the implementation of the Satuan Pendidikan Aman Bencana (SPAB). However, in disaster contexts, children with special needs and disabilities (SEND) are frequently overlooked. To further improve SPAB implementation, this research aims to investigate the cause-and-effect relationships between the compliance-based status of disaster prevention and risk reduction education in special education schools, the challenges teachers face, and the strategies employed in teaching disaster education to children with special needs and disabilities. The study employed ex post facto research design to investigate the cause-and-effect relationships between variables. Data from interviews and brief surveys were analysed using the phi coefficient, a nonparametric tool that assesses the strength and direction of correlations between variables. The researchers collected information from twenty-three special education teachers, and thirteen school principals and public relations officers across twelve special education schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The results suggest that compliance-based implementation has an inverse effect on the main challenges that teachers encounter. As the quality of compliance with the specific provisions in SPAB increases, the barriers to teaching disaster education among students with special needs and disabilities decrease. However, it is important to consider that not all challenges that emerged during the implementation of disaster education were influenced by mere compliance with the SPAB provisions

This study aimed to perform a systematic review of an observational cost-utility analysis of adjuvant and neo-adjuvant agents in breast cancer patients. The PRISMA flowchart was used to conduct the literature search and study selection. Through the use of two databases, PubMed and Scopus, a literature search was done. The eligible study was determined based on the established inclusion criteria. To evaluate the quality of the study, Drummond's checklist was used. Data extraction was conducted to assess characteristics, study perspective, cost and outcome measurement, the cost-utility ratio in ICER value, threshold, sensitivity or probability analysis, and the conclusion of the cost-utility study. There was a total of 7 studies included for review. Four studies compared chemotherapy regimens as adjuvant or neoadjuvant and three studies included hormone therapy or targeted therapy as an intervention that compared. Observational characteristic includes the use of cohort methods, and a large number of participants, the comparison is mostly for adjuvant therapy purposes and direct medical cost measured from a payer perspective. Anthracycline-based chemotherapy like the FAC regimen showed potential cost-effectiveness results. The use of targeted therapy (pertuzumab, trastuzumab) and hormonal therapy (goserelin) is associated with better utility outcomes and an increase in cost burden from intervention. Based to the reviewed studies, anthracycline-containing regimens such as FAC may have pharmacoeconomic properties as adjuvant or neo-adjuvant therapy. While the use of the most recent pharmacological drug has the potential to improve utility outcomes, but is associated with an increase in the intervention's cost burden

Menegosiasikan Kuasa Melalui Rasa: Sejarah Kuliner Sebagai Wujud Resistensi Masyarakat Lokal dalam Bayang Kolonialisme

Rice has become an inseparable aspect of Indonesians, with a popular opinion that “we haven’t truly eaten, if we haven’t eaten rice.” Accompanied with a spoon and a fork, food, and how we eat have existed within a colonial construct, which doesn’t only appear in the past moment. Colonialism is produced and reproduced in social systems, education, and daily activity. Even so, that term is not merely constructed on the normative values that reduce the community’s resistance to examining the power relationship. “It” is walking simultaneously with a resistance that puts the local knowledge in the mainstream of history—an attempt to negotiate the hegemonic cycles. The barriers between the social context and the praxis are walking “naturally”, making the role of each subject reciprocal. Nevertheless, the domination that appears from the Eurocentric views actually raises the local awareness against the flow in a dignified way. Through local knowledge and collective spirit, processing food becomes a local struggle to reduce the Western hegemony and revitalize the relationship between people and their connection with nature.

Speech Acts Analysis on a Companion of Child Victim of Sexual Violence Crimes in an Investigative Interview

This research is a forensic linguistic study that concentrates on the analysis of speech acts spoken by a companion from one of the representative offices of a ministry in Cilacap during an investigative interview between an investigator and a child victim of a sexual violence crime. The purpose of this investigation is to examine the speech of a child victim and a companion during an investigative interview that occurred at a police station in Cilacap. This investigation is qualitative in nature and is structured as a case study. Speech data were collected during the investigative interview using listening and note-taking techniques. The data were subsequently analyzed in accordance with Weigand’s (2010) dialogic speech act theory. Additionally, the function and authority of a companion in the investigative interview process are clarified by the Regulation of the Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia (Permen PPPA) No. 2 of 2022. The analysis results indicate that the code of ethics outlined in Permen PPPA No. 2 of 2022 is contravened by the companion’s dominance of the explorative speech act and the presence of the directive speech act. This implies that the companion must be re-informed about the code of ethics outlined in the Women Empowerment and Child Protection Regulation No. 2 of 2022. The findings of this research have the potential to assist the relevant ministries in enhancing the efficacy and authority of an assistant in the interview process related to the investigation of sexual violence crimes

Functions of cited sources in Indonesian research articles (RAs) in the History and Law disciplines

Citation is very significant in academic writing because it may create engagements with earlier findings and improve academic reputations. Studies on this area within academic writings have been widely conducted with varied purposes, but citation functions have received a small portion of scholarly attention. Besides, studies on this area in the Indonesian context are hardly found in the literature. Understanding this need has encouraged me to analyze citation functions in Indonesian History and Law research articles (RAs) because these two disciplines have been rarely investigated in genre studies, particularly in the Indonesian context. To reach this purpose, this study analyzed 30 Indonesian RAs from the History and Law disciplines to discover whether the functions are either to provide background information, provide evidence, or present beliefs, ideas, and issues circulated. The results revealed that citations found in the present study function as background information, evidence, and to present beliefs, ideas, issues circulated. However, these functions appear differently in each section. While these findings theoretically may contribute to the literature regarding citation functions in each section, they practically may provide awareness of article authors regarding the functions of citations in writing RAs

CRITICAL DISCOURSE ANALYSIS ON STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN BILINGUAL MATHEMATICS LEARNING

This research applied Critical Discourse Analysis to investigate how students engage in bilingual mathematics classes at two Islamic boarding schools (pesantrens) in Jember. It aimed to understand how language is used by both students and teachers throughout the learning process and the ways it impacts student involvement. Data were gathered through classroom observations, audio recordings, and field notes. The Initiation-Response-Follow-up (IRF) model was used for analysis. The study revealed that students' ability to participate is closely tied to their confidence in speaking English and the encouragement they receive from teachers. These insights underscored the need for inclusive communication methods and psychological support to boost participation in bilingual classrooms. The research also offered a deeper look at how language functions in educational settings and what that meant for teaching practices in bilingual environments. Ultimately, the findings can help shape more effective teaching strategies within bilingual education, particularly in pesantrens, leading to improved learning experiences and greater student engagement
