A usage-based approach to the diachronic development of the conjunctive particle : the internally-headed relative clause and the audience design
Get PDF本稿は、中古から中世に起こったとされる日本語の格助詞ガから接続助詞ガへの変化の過程を、通時的な構文文法と使用基盤モデルの視点から分析した。接続助詞への変化を格助詞構文の類推拡張と捉える天野 (2011, 2014)の提案と、主要部内在型関係節の介在の役割を重視する考えと、いずれがより有力な仮説であるかを比較検討し、少なくとも古典語については、主要部内在型関係節が持つ記号的な逸脱性と、それを補うための解釈方略が接続助詞への変化を促したと主張した。This paper explores the factors that contributed to the diachronic process in which the case marking particle "ga" developed into the homophonous conjunctive particle in Classical Japanese. Based on the usage-based approach and the diachronic construction grammar, it claims that the semiotically deviated character of the Internally-Headed Relative Clause, which preceded the case marker "ga," prompted the language user to take a strategy to aid audience's interpretation, which eventually resulted in the reanalysis of the particle.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape

A multi-person analysis of marionette artists' skills and bodily perception
Get PDFRecent studies on body techniques have explored various approaches to understanding the lived experience of performance, with the limitation that experts are not necessarily conscious when enacting skilled motions. This study combined the first- and third-person perspectives by asking interviewees to draw pictures of their experiences and provide verbal explanations, as well as by analyzing video recordings of their gestures during interviews. It focused on marionette theater artists' perceptions during performance. We found that the artists manipulated the marionettes in their own qualitative body space, allowing for a refined perception of the marionette's posture and frontal vision, which is normally invisible during manipulation. Further, we found that artists can perceive the subtle feedback of the strings transmitted to their hands through multisensory integration of their visual and auditory senses. Finally, while it was difficult for participants to verbalize their own bodily perceptions in the interviews, our multi-personal approach served as an effective way to fill in the blanks in participants' narratives and understand the quality of their experience. These results may contribute to the literature on expertise and may also suggest a philosophical reconsideration of the body-mind-object triad.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
Reading Norbert Bolz's Das ABC der Medien (The ABC of media) as an introduction to German media theory: part I
Get PDF本稿は，ドイツの哲学者にしてメディア論者として知られるノルベルト・ボルツが2007 年に刊行した『メディアのABC(Das ABC der Medien)』(Wilhelm Fink 社刊)の前半部分を，筆者なりの解釈に従って要約し，紹介するものである。これによって，ドイツで盛んに論じられながらも，難解なためもあって全体像が見えにくいドイツのメディア論の一端を，日本の研究者に伝えるのが本稿の目的である。ボルツは『メディアのABC』の序文で，ドイツは世界的に，メディア研究をリードする存在でありながら，多くの人にとってドイツのメディア論が理解不能なままであると述べている。その上で，「メディアリテラシー」についての一種の基礎コースとして執筆したのが本書であるとしている。ボルツについては，既に複数の著作が日本語に翻訳されているものの，彼のメディア論を主題とした研究論文等はわずかである。本稿は，ドイツのメディア論の論点とともに，ボルツ自身が考えるメディア論の一端を日本の読者に伝えようとするものである。本書は序章のほか，全15 章からなるが，今回は，その前半部分(序章および1〜7 章)を紹介したい。This paper summarizes and introduces a discussion of Das ABC der Medien (The ABC of Media) by Norbert Bolz, a German philosopher and media theorist, published in 2007 by Wilhelm Fink, while rephrasing his texts according to my interpretation for the convenience of informing Japanese readers of what he means in an understandable manner. The purpose of this paper is to serve as an introduction for researchers in Japan to media theory, which is actively discussed in Germany but is difficult to understand because of its complexity. In the preface to Das ABC der Medien, Bolz states that although Germany can be proud of being a world leader in media studies, German media theory remains incomprehensible to many people. He then states that he wrote this book as a kind of basic course on "media literacy." Although several of Bolz's works have already been translated into Japanese, his studies, especially those on media theories, have not been seriously discussed in the Japanese academic world, with a few exceptions. This paper conveys to Japanese readers not only the points of discussion in German media theory but also Bolz's own thoughts on media. This book consists of 15 chapters and a prologue, but this paper covers only the first half (the prologue and Chapters 1 to 7) because of space limitations. The chapter titles are as follows: Ch. 1 Ultrashort History of Media, Ch. 2 Management of Attentions, Ch. 3 Journalism in the Signs of the World Wide Web, Ch. 4 Fascination with Television, Ch. 5 Suspicion of Manipulation, Ch. 6 The Function of Moralizing, and Ch. 7 Consumption of Disaster and the Training of Readiness for Fear.研究ノート(Note)departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF1962年2月1日、琉球政府立法院は、米国による沖縄統治を国連憲章や民族自決の原則に反するとして施政権返還を要請する決議を全会一致で採択した。この決議は、1960年の国連植民地独立付与宣言に基づき沖縄が「植民地的」状況にあると示唆した。米国の政策変更や日米関係の変化を背景に、沖縄返還への期待と反発が交錯する中で採択された決議は、日米両国で大きな議論を呼んだが、最終的に日米協力により国際的議論への展開は抑えられた。しかし、この決議は米軍統治の法的矛盾を浮き彫りにし、施政権返還とその後の沖縄「復帰」プロセスに大きな影響を及ぼした。結局、この決議をきっかけに日米の復帰への道筋が捜査され、国際法の規範的発展に沿った住民の自決は実現せず、沖縄問題は日米間の合意の問題として扱われるにとどまった。論説(Article)departmental bulletin pape
