Verification of predictive power of quarterly financial statement text information for stock price fluctuations
Get PDF自然言語処理技術の発展に伴って、テキストマイニングを行い、投資判断に活用しようとする研究が盛んだ。本研究では、Sentence-BERTを用いた決算短信テキスト情報の定量化を行い、回帰木を用いて、株価変動に対する説明力の検証を行った。また、分類木を用いて、株価変動の方向に対する説明力の検証も行った。そのうえで、投資シミュレーションを行い、日経平均に対して超過リターンが生まれることを確認し、決算短信テキスト情報の株価変動に対する予測力を示唆した。Due to the development of natural language processing technology, there has been a lot of research on text mining and its use for investment decisions. In this study, we quantified the quarterly financial statement text information using Sentence-BERT and verified its explanatory power for stock price fluctuations using regression trees. We also used classification trees to examine the explanatory power for the direction of stock price fluctuations. We then conducted an investment simulation and confirmed that excess returns were generated relative to the Nikkei 225, suggesting the predictive power of earnings release text information on stock price fluctuations.原著論文departmental bulletin pape

Is there a gender wealth gap?
Get PDF本稿では、男女間および夫婦間における資産格差に関する先行研究を概観した上で、「消費生活に関するパネル調査」からの個票データを用いて、日本における夫婦間の資産格差について検証する。欧米諸国を対象とした先行研究が示す結果と同様、日本でも、夫に比べ妻の資産保有高が少ない傾向にあることが確認されるが、夫婦間の資産格差の度合いは欧米諸国と比べ日本の場合の方がより大きいことが示される。After reviewing the literature on gender as well as interspousal wealth gap, this paper assesses the interspousal wealth gap in the case of Japan using data from the Japanese Panel Survey of Consumers. Get PDF2023年3月にマスクの着用が個人の判断に委ねられ、コロナ禍は一つの区切りを迎えた。この間マスクの着用をめぐって他者の行動を監視する各種の「警察」が出現するが、「必要のない」マスクの着用を問題とする視点は、コロナ禍以前に「だてマスク」として既にあった。精神医学と心理学はだてマスクを社交不安障害における安全確保行動とし、介入がなければ依存症になると言う。ここには親密な関係性を前提とする人間関係において自己主張的であれとする価値観がある。In March 2023, the decision to wear masks became a matter of personal choice, marking a turning point in the era of the pandemic. During this period, various "police" entities monitoring others' mask-wearing behaviors emerged. However, the perspective of questioning the use of masks when deemed "unnecessary" existed even before the pandemic, known as "fake mask." Psychiatry and psychology consider wearing fake masks as a safety behavior in social anxiety disorder, warning that without intervention, it may lead to dependency. Get PDF留岡幸助(1864ｰ1934)は、近代日本を代表する社会事業家である。彼が遺した膨大な日記は、現在、北海道家庭学校(紋別郡遠軽町)で保管されている。当該資料には、彼が関わった監獄改良や感化教育をはじめ、欧米の社会事業の視察や研究をつうじて日本にもたらされた専門的知見、内務省によって推進された社会事業の制度化にかんする詳細な事柄が記されている。本稿は、当該資料を用いて共同研究をつうじて判明した書誌的事項について明らかにするものである。Kōsuke Tomeoka (1864-1934) was a pioneering social worker in modern Japan. His diary, housed at Hokkaido Home School in Engaru Town, Monbetsu Conuty, includes information on Tomeoka's involvement in prison reform and reformatory education, as well as his extensive knowledge of social work practices in Europe and the United States that he brought to Japan.
