Comparison of Concept Transferring Procedures of Basic Idea between Handmade Design and Computer Modeling
Get PDFThis research aims to make a comparative study of the performance results between creating the basic idea designs by handmade design process and by computer modeling process. The study of product design by using handmade process and computer modeling process has the same objectives which are to generate ideas and encourage creativity in product design. Though these two processes are done by using different tools, they have the same idea of using the interactive between brain, hand, and forms that appear on the paper or on the computer to improve and Idea Development, Sketch Design. Also, these two processes are used as an approach to teach and learn industrial product design, they can be chosen to suit students with different features and can be used to increase academic achievement performance
Land Ownership Constraints among Kuala Krai’s Flood Victims: A conceptual framework
Get PDFEmphasis of this study is to investigate the land ownership constraints among the Kuala Krai flood victims. An empirical study was conducted at Jalan Geale B, C, C2, C3, C4 ad D along the Sungai Kelantan. A semi-structured interview was carried out to all the 128 owners or households by using purposive sampling to gauge their constraints in land ownership. The data was analysed using summative content analysis to quantify on particular words from text data, and interpretation of the text data result. The findings indicate that the main constraint faced by the flood victims without land ownership was financial
Relationship between Types of Organization with the Quality of Soft-scape Construction Work in Malaysia

The types of organizations are consultant, contractor, developer, government agency, and educational institution. This research will be using the mix method approach. Chi-square analysis was also performed to find the significant level of relationship between the respondents. Respondents of the survey are among Landscape Architects listed in ILAM directory. The study managed to conduct the questionnaire on 225 persons. This paper was identified the significant difference of the respondents from different type of organisations with the issues of soft-scape construction quality

Attitudes of Sub-Sale Home Buyers and Vendors in the 21st Century: Legal implications
Get PDFThis article analyses the legal implications of sub-sale house buyers and sellers' attitudes as illustrated in judicial cases from Malaysia, Australia and the United States. The cases demonstrate that purchasers still sleep on their legal duty to conduct a pre-purchase inspection. On the other hand, vendors often conceal the defects in the property and refuse to rectify the defects. This article recommends that consumer education is vital to protect the rights of purchasers and to uplift the vendors' ethical values of in a sale and purchase of the sub-sale house. It is also suggested that the jurisdiction of the Tribunal for Consumer Claims or the Tribunal for Homebuyer Claims be considered to be expanded to hear disputes arising from the purchase of houses from the sub-sale market
The Role of Cohousing In Building Sustainable Communities: Case studies from the UK
Get PDFThis paper explored the role of cohousing models in the UK and discussed the benefits and limitations of cohousing models by exploring residents’ motivation and daily living. Through case studies in the UK, semi-structured interviews were carried out to establish the environmental and social sustainability of cohousing and to understand residents thinking and behaviour. This study found that cohousing could benefit various age groups, and promote residents’ thinking and behaviour change towards sustainable living. The findings of this research will establish a better understanding of UK cohousing and highlight the potentials and possibilities of cohousing communities
Psychological Influence and Intention to Use Web Based Health Information Service
Get PDFBuilding on the Health Belief Model, the study attempts to examine the roles of outcome expectations, internal cues and external cues in predicting health consumers intention to use MyHEALTH Portal which is the Malaysian National Web based Health Information Service. Based on the results of the structural model, there are evidences for outcome expectations and internal cues to predict the health consumers intention to use MyHEALTH Portal. The findings provide valuable insights for the Malaysia Ministry of Health in identifying significant psychological factors in promoting the portal usage behaviour, which ultimately, help to achieve their long-term goal

A success driving performance will depends on credible drivers, optimum vehicles condition and smart road design. The successful collaboration in between human, machine and environment should encompass two ways ‘communication’. However, 95% of road traffic accident was due to human errors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the seat belt compliance and quality of life among educated young adults in an urban university. Perhaps, this findings could be used to educate young drivers in the future
