    HEAVY DISC HARROW TESTING WITH INTEGRATED TRANSPORT TRAIN FOR TRACTORS OF 80 - 100 HP

    Heavy-disc harrow with integrated GDG-2.7M transport train is intended for carrying out the work of harrowing stubble on medium and heavy light soils located on lands with a maximum slope of 22 °, as well as for discussing bulky and dry plows, in the framework for the preparation of the germinating bed for sowing. Depending on the specificity of the work performed and the working conditions (plowing quality, humidity and soil type), the GDG-2.7M heavy disc harrow can also be used in aggregate with other ground grinding machines (soiled or adjustable harrows, staples or rollers).     THE SITUATION OF THE ATTACK CAUSED BY THE LARVAE OF DIABROTICA VIRGIFERA VIRGIFERA, IN THE MAIZE CROPS OF NEAMŢ COUNTRY, UNDER CONDITIONS OF 2019

    The material was collected in the corn crop belonging to the Ghiorghesti stationary, Neamt. In this periode, constant harvest was carried out between May and August 2018, by taking over biological material represented by roots and maize stalks that have been brought into the laboratory for examination and processing the data obtained. From the collected biological material, the Diabrotica virgifera virgifera specimens that have been determined and centralized have been retained.  The material was harvested on the three variants represented by untreated seed maize (V1), maize crop to which was applied the granulated soil treatment (V2) and maize crop to which was applied the seed treatment (V3). During the period of observation, were collected a number of 1951 specimens of larvae of Diabrotica virgifera virgifera. Following the centralization at variant 1 we totaled 963 specimens, at variant 2 we totaled 476secimens and at variant 3 we totaled 512 specimens

The electrode materials should non-toxic to human health and environment and these usually involve aluminium or iron, but new materials are also used.The efficiency of electrocoagulation depends on current density, gap between anodes and cathodes, electrodes arrangement, composition and shape, initial pollutant concentration, composition and pH of the solution, electrolysis time.This paper aims to reviewthe mechanisms involved in wastewater electrocoagulationand the results of electrocoagulation applied in the treatment of wastewater from different sources

    THE INFLUENCE OF FERTILIZER DOSES ON THE PRODUCTION OF POTATOES IN SFANTU GHEORGE, COUNTY OF COVASNA

    The purpose of the fertilization experiments, described in this paper, is to establish some optimal and economical doses of NPK fertilizers, while taking into consideration the soil`s supply in fertilizing elements, with the purpose of determining the influence of different doses of fertilizer on the production and efficiency of potato crops. In this context, the amount of the administered chemical fertilizer was between 250 to 550 kg of active substance/ha, out of which the nitrogen doses were of 0, 100, 200 and 300 kg of active substance/ha. This paper only focused on carrying out some research on the physical and chemical conditions of agricultural lands, and can be further developed around this subject.Â

    RESULTS REGARDING THE INFLUENCE OF CLIMATE CONDITIONS OF THE YEAR 2019 ON THE DYNAMICS OF THE ATTACK OF PATHOGENS FROM THE VINE CROP OF THE SEGARCEA WINE FARM, ARCHDIOCESE CRAIOVA, DOLJ COUNTY

    Craiova`s Archdiocese holds in the area of Segarcea 40 hectares cultivated with vine and has on its site varieties for red wines and varieties for white wines, such as: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Tămâioasă românească, Chardonnay, etc. In the climatic conditions of the year 2019, for the control of the main phytoparasites of the vine, the National Phytosanitary Authority, through the Phytosanitary Office Dolj, issued warning bulletins based on the phenological, biological and ecological criterion of the vine. For the main phytopathogenic agents of the vine (Plasmopara viticola, Uncinula necator and Botryotinia fuckeliana), the evolution of the attack on the crop was monitored, in correlation with the climatic conditions and the way of reaction of the varieties to their attack were also monitored

    CHEMICAL EVALUATION OF AUTOCHTHONOUS VARIETY 'PROKUPAC' RED WINE WITH THE ADDITION OF SELECTED AROMATIC HERBS

    The quality parameters and chemical composition (total phenolics, total flavonoids and total anthocyanins) of the red wine obtained from the autochthonous variety 'Prokupac' (Vitis vinifera L.) with the addition of the selected aromatic herbs (Pimpinella anisum L., Cinnamomum zeylanicum, Artemisia absinthium and Glycyrrhiza glabra) were examined in two consequtive vintages (2013-2014). The differences in contents of total extract, reducing sugars and ash between the studied samples were observed, but with no statistical significance between both examined years and analyzed wines. 'Prokupac' red wines with the addition of aromatic herbs stood out with significantly higher contents of total phenolics (371.4-594.3 mg GAE L-1) and total flavonoids (136.2-243.2 mg CTE L-1) while lower total anthocyanins content was noticed, when compared to 'Prokupac' red wine used as control (p<0.05). The unfavourable weather conditions in the vintages 2013 and 2014, reflected notably on the quality of the obtained wine.     OWERVIEW ON THE MANAGEMENT OF POWDERY MILDEW IN WHEAT (BLUMERIA GRAMINIS F. SP. TRITICI D. C. SPEER) IN THE CONTEXT OF CLIMATE CHANGE

    Powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritici) is one of the most important wheat diseases that farmers claim first in cereals field in Romania. The incidence of powdery mildew in Romania varies from year to year depends on climatic conditions, cultivar susceptibility and inoculum amount. Most of winter wheat cultivars grown in Romania are moderate resistant and sensitive to powdery mildew therefore the risk of yield losses, especially during wet springs increases significantly without proper management strategies. The highest losses occur when the disease affects flag leaf, respectively 16% when the infection affects flag leaf after heading and 25% when the infection affects flag leaf before heading. In the context of climate change which impact host-pathogen relationship one of the best strategies to control powdery mildew in Romania is chemical control applied at stem elongation stage GS39 (flag leaf blade all visible) to booting stage GS43 (flag leaf sheath visibly swollen) and GS 59 (spike completely emerged above flag leaf ligule). However, changes in plant growth and physiology resulting from higher atmospheric CO2 concentration associated with changes in temperature and precipitation conditions can affect the efficacy of systemic fungicides altering their penetration, translocation and mode of action into the plants, which can determine a new fungicide application calendar.   Â

    STUDIES AND RESEARCHES REGARDING THE BIOLOGICAL FILTRATION OF WATER IN A RECIRCULATING AQUACULTURE SYSTEM

    It is necessary to maintain optimal water quality parameters for a proper operation of a recirculating aquaculture system for fish breeding. A biological filtration installation has to be performed so that to satisfy the system requirements on the conversion of ammonia to nitrite and then to nitrate, less toxic products for the fish population. The presence of ammonia and metabolites in water is a stress factor for concentrations higher than 0.05 mg/nitrogen ammonia (NH3 - N) and this will be felt in the growth of fish and in their resistance to disease.Â

    ANALYSIS OF THE EVOLUTION OF THE VEGETABLE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN ROMANIA

    Agriculture is an important sector in Romanian economy, the cultivation of cereals, especially wheat and corn, holding a major place. Statistically, in the last ten years, our country has obtained twice as much grain production as the yield obtained in the previous period. In this context, with a production value of over 31 million tonnes, in 2018 Romania ranked third in Europe, after France and Germany, according to Eurostat data. France obtained a double grain production compared to our country. Regarding the types of crops, we observe that our country ranked first in the production of maize and sunflower, while holding  the fourth position in  wheat production, compared to the other European countries.This paper is based on the statistical data provided by the National Institute of Statistics, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Eurostat. Although Romania has a high agricultural potential, its farmland  cannot be exploited to its true value due to insufficient mechanization, the fragmentation of the farmland , the lack of capital and irrigation systems. The poor professional training of the aging agricultural workers also contributes to the bleak situation of  Romanian agriculture. The financial support provided by the EU and the Romanian state to the farmers has led to the increase of agricultural production. Farmers have to organize themselves in various forms of association in order to be able to obtain agricultural produce at lower costs. At the same time, the mechanization of agriculture must be continued in order to increase productivity per hectare

    AN ASSESSMENT OF FOREST FRUITS FROM ARAD COUNTY

    Non-wood forest products had and still have an extremely important role in the life of local communities. Romania has a very varied relief so that the assortment of species and types of forests are also varied. The present study focused on Arad County where the most important categories of non-wood products were identified. In this case, they belong to the forest fruit category. As such, eight forest fruits were selected and were then hierarchized based on 19 criteria. The general conclusion was that the most important forest fruits from Arad County are hawthorn, raspberry and forest hazelnut
