ASPECTS REGARDING THE BEHAVIOUR OF SOME SORGHUM (Sorgum bicolor L. Moench) GRAIN HYBRIDS IN THE SOIL AND CLIME CONDITIONS OF OLTENIA CENTRAL
Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) is a drought tolerant crop. In the Central zone of Oltenia region, drought is a common phenomenon and this is the reason why this crop should be reconsidered for cultivation in the future within this area. The present paper presents the behaviour of 6 sorghum grain hybrids (from Australia and USA) in the soil and clime conditions of ARDS Simnic (Dolj). The experiment was laid out in randomized blockdesign with spacing of 70 x 10 cm along with three replications. There have been made observations and remarks n the main phenophases of the crop, the morphological features and the grain yield as well as the correlation between them. The highest yields have been recorded with the NS 5305, NS 7501 and NS 5304 which are considered early asvegetation period
PTERIDIUM AQUILINUM (L.) KUHN. – COLONISING SPECIES IN THE SOUTH-WESTERN OF ROMANIA
According to the geobotanical research carried out between 2000-2012, in thesouth-western part of Romania, there were identified one plant community - Clinopodio vulgaris-Pteridietum aquilinii Dihoru 1975, edified by Pteridium aquilinum (l.) Kuhn. - colonizing species. The fern Pteridium aquilinum (L.) Kuhn, known under the names ''wolf`s clothes'' and ''field fern'', is an example of a plant very well adapted, which ensures its being widespread as compared to other cormophytes. Wolf` clothes is a colonising and invasive species (Pysek, P., 1995) which fits very well to agroecosystems and natural, degraded ecosystems, being almost impossible to combat. In the south-western of Romania this plant community meets in the Capatanii Mountains, Parang Mountains, Valcan Mountains, Lotru Mountains, Semenic Mountains, Aninei Mountains, Cernei Mountains, Tarcu Mountains, Godeanu Mountains and SubCarpathian area of Oltenia
RESEARCH ON THE SOIL OF SUITABILITY RECAS GROWING CENTER
Viticulture is a branch of agriculture with a high intensity level, vines involves energy consumption, it can not develop without energy or low intake of it. Increased production WINE will take place in future energy crisis and raw materials (Ţărău D., Luca M., 2002, et Ţărău D., Borza I., Dumitru M., Ciobanu C., 2007) .Objectives aimed especially following: identification and characterization of soiltypes and subtypes, calculating evaluation notes, determining suitability and land classification in classes of favorability. Recas vineyard soils Center, formed by the complex interaction of factors of which the most important pedogenetic are topography, water, rock parent, climate, vegetation and man. Thus the perimeter Recas are two areas where soils are well differentiated, a result of different climatic conditions
