A Consideration about Theoretical Thermal Efficiency of Otto / Diesel Cycle on the same Compression Ratio
Get PDFP(論文)We patented the method of carrying out the constant-volume combustion under the extreme-high pressure, and if this technology is in practice, we may be able to improve dramatically the knock limit in the constant-volume combustion.In this paper, the formula which expressed the ratio of theoretical thermal efficiency of the constant-pressure cycle to the constant-volume cycle under the same supplied heat quantity and the compression ratio were drawn, and the comparison / consideration was quantitatively carried out based on this formula. As a result, it became clear that the theoretical thermal efficiency of the constant-volume cycle was higher than the constant-pressure cycle, when the compression ratio was lower and the air-fuel ratio was richer.It was suggested that the new heat engine which could be operated in high-speed having the theoretical thermal efficiency was equal to the conventional diesel engine.departmental bulletin pape
Research and Development of a Flight Simulator for Glider Training

Our team of TokyoMetropolitan College of Industrial Technology (CIT) participates in the glider section of this Rally since 1999. Asadvanced control techniques are required for the purpose of further extension of flight performance of the glider, apilot training system is necessary. On the other hand, a flight simulator for educational purposes has been developedat the Aerospace Engineering Course of CIT. By utilizing this simulator, the glider flight simulator for BirdmanRally has been manufactured. AN APPROXIMATE CALCULTATION METHOD FOR INTEGRAL OF MEAN SQUARE VALUE OF NONSTATIONARY SEISMIC RESPONSE
Get PDFP(論文)The response of the structure subjected to nonstationary random vibration such as earthquake excitation isnonstationary random vibration. Calculation method for statistical characteristics of such a response is complicated.Practical and simplified method to obtain theoretical statistical value is required. Mean square value of the response isusually used to evaluate random response. Integral of mean square value of the response corresponds to total energy ofthe response. In this paper, a simplified calculation method to obtain integral of mean square value of nonstationaryseismic response is proposed. The structure is modeled as a single-degree-of-freedom system. Nonstationary white noiseis used as input. Integral of mean square value is obtained for some value of the damping ration and the natural period. Struggle for Survival : As I Lay Dying (1930)
Get PDFP(論文)The aim of this paper is to re-evaluate William Faulkner's As I Lay Dying in terms of the characters'language and existence. First, I will look into Addie's view on the relation between language and existence and theother characters' views on ""life"" and ""death."" By examining her dying condition and others' views of her, I wouldlike to point out a precarious boundary between life and death. Secondly, I will concentrate on Darl's view, whichreflects conventional thoughts of Southerners. Darl's obsessive observation of Jewel and Addie keeps himexpressing them in words. His distorted usage of the be-verb confuses his and others' views on existence. Thirdly,I will focus attention on one of Darl's monologues, where he talks about his insomnia and ""sleep"" to look into people'sexistence. In this respect, I refer to a French philosopher, Emmanuel Levinas' theories concerning the relationbetween a human body and consciousness (especially from Existence and Existents). Characteristics of the Air Core Transformer for Magnetic pulse Welding and Electromagnetic Forming
Get PDFP(論文)The magnetic pulse welding and electromagnetic forming are peculiar technology using large electromagnetic force. Pulselarge current flowing through the flat one-turn coil is produced this large electromagnetic force. However, there is only using thespark gap switch for discharged the capacitor energy, since the pulse current exceeds 100kA. The spark gap switch needs themaintenance in the every discharge. Then, the transformer is introduced in order to reduce the current, apply the semiconductorswitch. In this study, the air core transformer of 2:1 turn ratio was made, and the primary current was reduced in about 1/2.
