SVJ Writing : A Proposal for a Writing Method for Students in the Higher Grades
P(論文)This is a proposal for a teaching method in English writing classes, especially for writing of the abstract of the fifth-year students' graduation thesis. The proposal has two aspects - semantic and syntactic aspects. The former is reflected in consciousness-raising on the gap between the English/Japanese ways of setting subject and predicate, and the latter is reflected in presenting the typical patterns of complex/compound sentence patterns and the use of noun clause structures. Continuous monitoring of the fault creeping on Marikina Valley fault system (MVFS), Metro Manila, Philippines
P(論文)Continuous monitoring of the fault creep along the Western Marikina Valley Fault System (MarikinaFault), in the southern part of Metro Manila, Philippines, was started from Sep. 2008. Although the dataobtained includes daily fluctuation due to thermal deformation of the metal used to fix equipment, the totalmovement obtained by this monitoring and that of repeated leveling survey show similar amounts. Theaverage slip late by this continuous monitoring is about 0.01mm/day form Sep. 14, 2008 to Jan 16, 2009. Butno movement has been detected during Jan. 16 and July 7, 2009. Further monitoring is necessary to clearlythe characteristics of the creep.departmental bulletin pape
APPROXIMATE ESTIMATION METHOD FOR INTEGRAL OF MEAN SQUARE VALUE OF NONSTATIONARY RANDOM RESPONSE (RESPONSE OF STRUCTURE SUBJECTED TO NONSTATIONARY FILTERED WHITE NOISE EXCITATIONS)
P(論文)The response of the structure subjected to nonstationary random vibration such as earthquake excitation is nonstationary randomvibration. Calculating method for statistical characteristics of such a response is complicated. Practical and simplified method to obtaintheoretical statistical value is required. Mean square value of the response is usually used to evaluate random response. Integral of meansquare value of the response with respect to time corresponds to total energy of the response. In this paper, considering the dynamiccharacteristics of the ground, a simplified calculation method to obtain integral of mean square value of the structural response subjected tononstationary white noise excitations is proposed. It is found that the proposed method gives exact value of integral of mean square valueof the response.departmental bulletin pape
About the execution condition of the internship in the Arakawa campus in recent years
P(論文)"The data reduction that would be acquired by the previous year was done. Additionally, those data was made visible by a lot of tables and graphs. In this report, the tendency at the internship of recent years was shown. The size of the turnout shows the tendency to increase every year. The size of the turnout according to the course or training site was shown. The result of fiscal year 2010 similar to the situation to date was obtained. The result of the student questionnaire was brought together. It has been understood that the student is satisfied with the internship. It was answered as useful for the student life in the future that most students had participated at the internship. Evaluation of Exercise Style Learning Method for Phase Detection System with Using
P(論文)Measurement of small analog signal is indispensable for various instrumentations especially inbiomedical measurements. Phase detection system is one of the most widely used ways for measuring small analogsignal in relatively low frequency signals. To understand the principle of such measurement system, visual andexperimental instructions are helpful. Thus, I proposed an exercise style learning method for phase detectionsystem by using Microsoft Excel. The phase detection system is modeled by the conventional functions used inMicrosoft Excel. The students practiced on studying the fundamental characteristics of the phase detection systemand the influence of the white noise on the system during computer exercise lessens. From the reports and thequestionnaire survey to evaluate the exercise style learning, it is confirmed that the proposed exercise stylelearning method is valuable for learning the principle, effectiveness and applications of the phase detection system.Further, it is effective for learning the usage of some functions of Microsoft Excel. This shows that the exercisestyle learning method with widely used conventional software has effect with relatively short time practices.departmental bulletin pape

P(論文)Our government guideline for teaching has been revised, and from 2012, Japanese junior high school students have to learn "Martial Arts" in the health and physical education as compulsory subjects. Both boys and girls have to take "Martial Arts", when they are in the 1st and 2nd year. And when they are in the 3rd year, they are to choose either a ball game or "Martial Arts." There must be many students, especially girl students, who don't want to scuffle with other students. "Kyudo" (Japanese Archery) players never scuffle with other players; their opponents are only the targets and themselves. Students' demand for Kyudo would be great, and there are many things we must prepare in two years. The lesson program is one of these. The Significance of Hunting : "The Bear" and "Delta Autumn"
P(論文)The aim of this paper is to discuss the significance of hunting in "The Bear" and "Delta Autumn", the fifth and sixth stories in William Faulkner‟s Go Down, Moses (1942). In this paper, I would like to show that hunting plays an important role in Faulkner's Southern society, referring to the studies of Maria Mies, a German sociologist. In her view, hunting is useful to a patriarchal society, which strictly distinguishes men from women. As a part of a social system, hunting succeeds in giving men absolute power. In the above-mentioned stories, hunting is portrayed as a factor of male-chauvinism. The white women in the stories are described as inferior socially and morally. Moreover, the black men and women in the stories are described similarly. White men find some utility value in both of them and often take control of their lives. On the other hand, white women and blacks know well their own unfavorable situations, secretly surmise white men’s possible acts and try to make them act as they like. Their acts look like a game, but they have to act like that because of their society, a part of which hunting has formatted. A Study on the Colors Used in Shakespearian Tragedies
P(論文)In Shakespearean days, there were almost no lighting equipments. So Shakespeare needed to use words very carefully to arouse the imagination of the audience. I have been analyzing the frequency of the color words in the Shakespearean plays. I sent out questionnaires to 40 of my students in my school and asked them how hot or cool they felt when they saw or heard a variety of color words. In the SIMO systemis difficult to construct by conventional controller which has considering multi-parameters by trial and error. .This paper studies to discuss the stabilization control of inverted pendulum using reinforcement learning. GaAsMESFET device modeling for the PSpice electronic circuit simulators
P(論文)Recently, a role of the electronic circuit simulation in the electronic circuitry design becomes more important. In the design employing circuit simulation, the change of the circuit parameters is easy because it is not fear to destroy circuit elements by a mistake like a design employing the measurement of the manufactured circuit. In addition, there is a merit to be able to demand the most suitable circuit parameter values comparatively in a short time.PSpice is a popular electronic circuit simulator possessed economy and a high versatility, but the GaAsMESFET device model which is one of the high-speed transistors is not available in this simulator. The developed device model for PSpice is based on the equivalent GaAsMESFET circuit model of TSpice for mainframes, more, which is raised characteristic curve-fitting between the simulated curves and the measured ones, is reported in this study.departmental bulletin pape
