FORMULASI TEPUNG MOCAF DAN TEPUNG WORTEL SEBAGAI BAHAN BAKU ALTERNATIF MESES: Formulation Of Mocaf Flour And Carrot Flour As Alternative Raw Materials For Meses
Meses atau cokelat butir merupakan produk pangan yang umum digunakan sebagai pelengkap pada berbagai jenis makanan seperti roti, kue, donat, hingga es krim. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi pangan, modifikasi bahan baku meses menjadi alternatif inovatif untuk menghasilkan produk yang lebih bernilai gizi dan fungsional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan konsentrasi tepung mocaf (modified cassava flour) dan tepung wortel terhadap karakteristik fisik meses yang diproduksi melalui metode ekstrusi. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor perlakuan, yaitu enam variasi perbandingan tepung mocaf dan tepung wortel (C1=95:5; C2=85:15; C3=75:25, C4=65:35; C5=55:45; C6=45:55) yang masing-masing diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Parameter pengamatan meliputi karakteristik fisik (kekerasan, daya patah, dan densitas kamba). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbandingan konsentrasi tepung mocaf dan wortel berpengaruh nyata terhadap kekerasan dan daya patah, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap densitas kamba. Perlakuan terbaik pada perlakuan C1 dengan perbandingan mocaf dan tepung wortel 95:5. Nilai karakteristik fisik kekerasan (20,73 N), daya patah (0,15 N), dan densitas kamba (0,57). Dengan demikian, substitusi sebagian tepung mocaf dengan tepung wortel pada formulasi meses dapat mempertahankan karakteristik fisik meses
Determinants of Agroedutourism Development: A Case Study of Orange Picking Tourism at Politeknik Negeri Jember
Agroedutourism has emerged as a sustainable tourism model that integrates recreational activities with agricultural education, offering both experiential learning and economic value. This study analyzes the determinants of agroedutourism development at the orange picking site of the Teaching Factory (TeFa) Kebun Inovasi Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije). The objectives are to identify the potential attractions of orange-based agroedutourism and to evaluate the influence of attraction, accessibility, amenities, and visitor perceptions on destination development. Data were obtained through field observations, interviews with management and academic experts, and surveys of 125 visitors. A descriptive approach was used to assess the site’s potential, while multiple linear regression was applied to examine the effect of the four determinant variables. The results indicate that TeFa Kebun Inovasi has strong agroedutourism potential, supported by commodity diversity, educational value, scenic landscapes, and opportunities for local product development. Regression analysis shows that attraction, accessibility, amenities, and perception collectively have a significant effect on agroedutourism development (F = 213.927; p < 0.05). However, only visitor perception exhibits a significant individual influence (β = 0.873; p < 0.001), suggesting that visitor experience acts as the primary driver of development. Physical factors such as attraction, accessibility, and amenities contribute positively but do not show significant independent effects. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing experiential quality, educational engagement, and service interaction to strengthen visitor perception. Improving facilities, infrastructure, and thematic attractions remains essential to support a comprehensive and competitive agroedutourism model within a vocational education environment
Pelatihan Pelayanan Prima dan Bahasa Inggris untuk Kantor Depan: Upaya Mewujudkan Layanan Unggul di UPT Destinasi Wisata Terpadu Kabupaten Jember
High-quality service is the key to a business process because it can build two important things: customer trust and loyalty. Prioritizing customer experience is a valuable investment in today's business world. UPT Destinasi Wisata Terpadu Kabupaten Jember is a work unit that is responsible for managing several tourist destinations. Based on the preliminary study conducted by the community service team, there are 2 problems: the culture of excellent service and the English skills of operational staff at UPT Destinasi Wisata Terpadu are not satisfactory yet. Therefore, the team tried to improve the competence of the operational staff at UPT Destinasi Wisata Terpadu through the Service Excellence and English for Front Office Training. The Service Excellence and English for Front Office Training aimed to improve the operational staff’s customer service and English skills, especially the front office staff. This training will equip the participants with the basic principles of service excellence, effective communication techniques, and strategies for professionally handling complaints. Thus, the participants are not only able to provide satisfactory service, but can also communicate confidently in English.

Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian, terdapat 2 permasalahan yaitu belum optimalnya budaya pelayanan prima serta keterampilan berbahasa Inggris para staf operasional di UPT Destinasi Wisata Terpadu. Tim pengabdian melakukan upaya peningkatan kompetensi staf operasional di UPT Destinasi Wisata Terpadu melalui penyelenggaraan Pelatihan Service Excellence dan English for Front Office. Pelatihan Service Excellence dan English for Front Office bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pelayanan pelanggan dan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris bagi staf operasional. Pelatihan ini membekali peserta dengan prinsip dasar service excellence, teknik komunikasi efektif, serta strategi penanganan keluhan dengan profesional. Dengan demikian, peserta tidak hanya mampu memberikan pelayanan yang memuaskan, tetapi juga dapat berkomunikasi dengan percaya diri dalam bahasa Inggris.

Optimalisasi Potensi Desa Wisata Sibetan Melalui Pelatihan Terpadu bagi Perangkat Desa dan Pemandu Wisata
Sibetan Village in Bebandem District, Karangasem Regency has great potential as a tourist village with an agrotourism area of 8,326 hectares. However, the development of this potential is constrained by three issues: a suboptimal archive management system, limited social media content creation capabilities, and low English language proficiency among tour guides. This community service program was implemented to address these constraints through integrated training involving 25 village officials and 35 tour guides. The training was conducted in parallel at two different locations: Sibetan Village Office for archive management training and Banjar Mantri Hall for social media and English language training. The training method combined lecture delivery, demonstration, and hands-on practice. The program resulted in three significant changes: a more structured archive management system, strengthened digital promotion through social media, and improved English language skills among tour guides. Evaluation results showed high participant satisfaction, with 52.4% being very satisfied and 47.6% satisfied with the program implementation. The program's impact was also evident from 100% of participants stating the program improved their productivity, while 85% requested the program to be conducted regularly every 6 months. This community service program has successfully laid a strong foundation for developing Sibetan Village as a sustainable tourist destination through human resource capacity building.Desa Sibetan di Kecamatan Bebandem, Kabupaten Karangasem memiliki potensi besar sebagai desa wisata dengan areaagrowisata seluas 8.326 Ha. Namun pengembangan potensi tersebut terkendala oleh tiga hal yaitu sistem pengelolaan arsipyang belum optimal, keterbatasan kemampuan pembuatan konten media sosial, dan rendahnya kemampuan berbahasa Inggris pemandu wisata. Program pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut melalui pelatihan terpadu yang melibatkan 25 perangkat desa dan 35 pemandu wisata. Pelatihan dilakukan secara paralel di dua lokasi berbeda yaitu Kantor Desa Sibetan untuk pelatihan pengelolaan arsip dan Balai Banjar Mantri untuk pelatihan media sosial dan bahasa Inggris. Metode pelatihan mengkombinasikan pemberian materi, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Program ini menghasilkan tiga perubahan signifikan yaitu sistem pengelolaan arsip yang lebih terstruktur, penguatan promosi digital melalui media sosial, dan peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris pemandu wisata. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan peserta yang tinggi, dimana 52,4% menyatakan sangat puas dan 47,6% puas dengan pelaksanaan program. Dampak program juga terlihat dari 100% peserta menyatakan program mampu meningkatkan produktivitas mereka, serta 85% mengharapkan program dilaksanakan secara rutin setiap 6 bulan. Program pengabdian ini telah berhasil meletakkan dasar yang kuat bagi pengembangan Desa Sibetan sebagai destinasi wisata yang berkelanjutan melalui peningkatan kapasitas SDM
Hubungan Aktivitas Fisik dan Status Gizi dengan Kejadian Dismenore pada Siswi di SMA/SMK/MA di Kecamatan Wuluhan
Kram dan nyeri haid saat menstruasi disebut dismenore. Jumlah kejadian dismenore di seluruh dunia mencapai 90%, sekitar 70-90% kasus terjadi saat remaja. Di Indonesia, 112.657 jiwa (69,35%) mengalami dismenore. Dismenore yang tidak diatasi dapat mengganggu aktivitas remaja. Usia menarche, lama menstruasi, siklus menstruasi, status gizi, aktivitas fisik, riwayat keluarga dan ketidakseimbangan hormon memengaruhi dismenore. Dismenore lebih berisiko terjadi pada orang dengan status gizi underweight dan obesitas. Selain itu, keteraturan aktivitas fisik juga mempengaruhi dismenore. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dan status gizi dengan kejadian dimenore pada remaja putri. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik Multistage Random Sampling, dengan jumlah 75 orang, yang terdiri dari siswi kelas X dan XI di SMAS Muhammadiyah 2 Wuluhan, SMKS 01 Diponegoro, dan MA 03 Ma’arif Wuluhan. Cara pengambilan data dengan mengisi kuesioner. Data aktivitas fisik dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). Data status gizi didapatkan melalui cara pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan, lalu menggunakan IMT/U untuk mengetahui status gizi. Data dismenore didapatkan melalui kuesioner Skala Nyeri Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Analisis statistik dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian dismenore (p=0.41). Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dengan kejadian dismenore (p=0,250) pada siswi SMA.

Pengaruh Konsentrasi Pektin dan Sari Belimbing Wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) Terhadap Sifat Fisik, dan Kimia: The Comparison of Pectin Concentration and Extract of Belimbing Wuluh (Avverhoa bilimbi L.) on the Physical, Chemical, and Organoleptic Properties of Carrot Jam (Daucus carota L.)
Salah satu titik kritis dalam pembuatan selai, yaitu proporsi antara bubur buah, pektin, asam sitrat, dan gula. Penambahan pektin jika terlalu banyak menghasilkan selai dengan tekstur yang lebih padat. Sedangkan asam sitrat ditambahkan untuk menciptakan pH asam yang membantu pembentukan gel. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi pektin dan sari belimbing wuluh terhadap sifat fisik, kimia dan organoleptik selai wortel, mengetahui konsentrasi pektin dan sari belimbing wuluh terhadap sifat organoleptik serta menentukan produk terbaik. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAL) dengan 2 faktor dan dilakukan 3 kali pengulangan. Konsentrasi perbandingan sari belimbing wuluh (P) dan pektin (S) antara lain P1S1 = (15% : 1%), P1S2 = (15% : 1,5%), P1S3 = (15% : 2%), P2S1 = (20% : 1%), P2S2 = (20% : 1,5%), P2S3 = (20% : 2%), P3S1 = (25% : 1%), P3S2 = (25% : 1,5%), P3S3 = (25% : 2%). Hasil penelitian memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap daya oles, kadar air, vitamin C, dan pH bertutur-turut sebesar 2,9 cm – 6,5 cm, 29,66%bb – 35,51%bb, 28,62 mg/100g – 39,57 mg/100g, dan 3,57 – 4,59, serta mutu hedonik selai. Namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar abu dan total padatan terlarut
Exploring factors influencing customer loyalty at Kemuning Polije Resto, Jember District
Customer loyalty is vital for competitiveness in the restaurant industry, especially in local contexts where customer preferences vary. This study investigates the effects of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), service quality, and product quality on customer loyalty at Resto Kemuning Polije, Jember. A quantitative approach was used, collecting survey data from 150 regular customers. Multiple linear regression, along with t-tests and F-tests, assessed the data's validity, reliability, and significance. Results show that CRM, service quality, and product quality positively and significantly influence customer loyalty. Product quality has the strongest impact, followed by service quality and CRM. The model's adjusted R² value of 0.782 indicates that 78.2% of the variation in customer loyalty is explained by these factors. This highlights the importance of maintaining high product standards, delivering excellent service, and employing effective CRM strategies. The study provides insights into the synergy between CRM, service quality, and product quality, offering practical recommendations for restaurant managers. These include prioritising consistent product quality, personalised customer engagement, and staff training. Future research should examine additional factors like pricing and marketing strategies to deepen understanding. This study contributes to the literature on customer loyalty, emphasising the integration of quality and relationship management for sustainable retention
Enhancing EFL Students’ Recount Writing: A Comparative Analysis of Grammarly, QuillBot, and GrammarCheck Applications
This study examines the effectiveness of three AI-powered grammar checker applications—Grammarly, QuillBot, and GrammarCheck—in improving the recount writing skills of EFL students. Fifty-two undergraduate students revised their recount texts using these tools, and data were collected through text analysis and student questionnaires. Results show that all three applications helped reduce grammatical errors and increased students’ awareness of language accuracy, with Grammarly offering the most comprehensive feedback and QuillBot providing valuable paraphrasing support. Despite their benefits, limitations such as surface-level corrections and restricted free features highlight the need for integrating these tools alongside teacher guidance. The findings suggest that grammar checkers can serve as effective supplementary aids in EFL writing instruction when used thoughtfully
Enhancing elementary students' reading skills through Quizizz paper mode in English class
The Independent Learning Curriculum emphasized mastering foundational competencies, including English as a foreign language, to support students' academic development. In this curriculum, each phase of learning has specific learning objectives. Fifth-grade elementary school students, which is categorized as Phase C, need to achieve specific learning objectives in reading skills. However, preliminary studies revealed that many students struggle to meet these objectives, as indicated by their below-average performance and difficulties in mastering reading techniques. To address this issue, this paper aimed to reveal the improvement of students' reading skills through the implementation of Quizizz Paper-Mode and to find out the benefits of Quizizz Paper-Mode in enhancing elementary school students' reading skills. A mixed-method approach was employed to integrate qualitative and quantitative data, which were collected through tests, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study revealed the following: (1) Quizizz Paper-Mode improved students' reading abilities by 26.36%; (2) 80.4% of students responded positively to the implementation of Quizizz Paper-Mode, categorized as high; and (3) Quizizz Paper-Mode provided benefits to students' reading skills, with 71.5% categorized as medium. This study highlights the instructional value of Quizizz Paper-Mode as an effective alternative to enhance reading competencies in elementary education, especially in settings where digital infrastructure is limited
Analisis Kelayakan Usaha Agroindustri Pemindangan Ikan Menggunakan Decision Support System
This research aims to analyze the company's feasibility condition from non-financial and financial aspects, the results of which can be used as a reference to recommend company development steps. The approach used in this research is Decision Support System. The results of the analysis show that in the legal aspect the company can be said to be feasible because it already has a letter. The production aspect shows the results that the company is in a feasible condition with a high level of feasibility. Marketing Aspects, Management Aspects and Human Resources and Environmental Aspects show the results that the company is in a feasible condition with a moderate level of feasibility. In financial aspects consisting of quantity BEP analysis of 24,721.13, Sales BEP of 379,515,345.54, BCR of 1.42, Payback Period of 1.58, NPV of 10,064,036,510.68, PI of 12.54, IRR of 59.20 and the overall analysis of financial aspects shows that the company is in a viable condition. Based on the overall analysis of the UMKM version 2.0 Decision Support System (DSS) approach, it shows that CV Genderang Mercusuar Bahari is in a feasible condition to be developed
