    Analisis Karakteristik Maggot dan Kasgot yang dihasilkan dari Proses Biokonversi Sampah Organik pada Bank Sampah Desa Bengle, Karawang

    Organic waste bioconversion through maggot cultivation is believed to be a solution for managing organic waste based on a circular economy. Maggot cultivation has been widely carried out by Bank Sampah managed by the community in Indonesia, one of which is located in Bengle Village, Karawang District. Bank Sampah (BS) of Bengle Village has been able to reduce organic waste and produce Kasgot, reaching 75.00% and 25.00%, respectively. This study aims to examine nutritional content of maggot and characteristics of kasgot produced by BS of Bengle Village. The results showed that fresh and dried maggot contained quite high fat and protein, of 38.99%; 29.65% and 40.94%; 34.75%, respectively. These values make both maggots feasible as sources of animal fat and protein for poultry. Furthermore, Kasgot contains N-total, P2O5, K2O, Fe, and Pb each of 3.98%; 2.80%; 3.32%; 332.18 ppm; and 0.26 ppm has met the minimum specifications for solid organic fertilizer and compost from organic waste. However, the C/N ratio (6.40) and moisture content (22.77%) did not meet these standards and indicated that Kasgot was not stable as an organic fertilizer. Despite that, the quality of Kasgot can be improved through advanced fermentation processes such as vermicomposting so that it can be used as a substitute for inorganic fertilizers for plant growth and improve soil conditions.Biokonversi sampah organik melalui budidaya maggot diyakini mampu menjadi solusi penanganan masalah sampah organik dengan memanfaatkan prinsip sirkular ekonomi. Budidaya maggot telah dilakukan oleh banyak bank sampah yang dikelola oleh masyarakat di Indonesia, salah satunya di Desa Bengle Kabupaten Karawang. Bank Sampah (BS) Desa Bengle mampu mereduksi sampah organik dan menghasilkan kasgot, masing-masing mencapai 75,00% dan 25,00%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kandungan nutrisi maggot dan karakteristik kasgot yang dihasilkan oleh BS Desa Bengle. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa maggot segar dan kering masing-masing mengandung lemak dan protein cukup tinggi, dimana nilainya secara berurutan adalah 38,99%; 29,65% dan 40,94%; 34,75% Nilai tersebut menjadikan kedua jenis maggot layak menjadi sumber lemak dan protein hewani bagi unggas. Selanjutnya, kasgot mengandung N-total, P2O5, K2O, Fe, dan Pb masing-masing sebesar 3,98%; 2,80%; 3,32%; 332,18 ppm; dan 0,26 ppm telah memenuhi standar minimal pupuk organik padat dan spesifikasi kompos dari sampah organik. Namun, rasio C/N (6,40) dan kadar air (22,77%) tidak memenuhi kedua standar dan terindikasi bahwa kasgot belum matang sebagai pupuk organik. Meskipun demikian, kualitas kasgot masih dapat ditingkatkan melalui proses fermentasi lanjutan seperti vermicomposting sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi pengganti pupuk anorganik yang dapat membantu pertumbuhan tanaman dan memperbaiki kondisi tanah

    Sponge symbiont bacteria are microbes that live in marine sponges and are known to have bioactive compounds with antimicrobial propeties. Sea sponges on Bakar Island are known to contain many types of symbiotic bacteria. This study was conducted to test the ability of the sponge symbiont bacteria to inhibit the growth of the fungus Candida albicans. The study was carried out in 3 stages, with were sample collection, isolation and antifungal activity test using the well diffusion technique. Sponge symbiont bacteria were obtained as many as 16 isolates and were successfully tested for as many as 11 isolates for their antifungal abilities. Of the 11 isolates, based on the characteristics tested, 1 isolate (SPS4F2) was obtained with strong criteria (12.06 mm) and 10 (SPS1, SPS3, SPS5, SPS6, SPS7 SPS8, SPS9, SPS10, SPS11, SPS12, SPS13) others with moderate criteria (±6.00-9.00). The results of the study can be concluded that the sponge symbiont bacteria from Bakar’s Island mostly have the potential as antifungals against Candida albicans and based of characterization including the Bacillus

    Identifikasi Bakteri Toleran terhadap Logam Berat Pb yang Diisolasi dari Air dan Sedimen di Sungai Porong, Sidoarjo

    Porong River is an active river located in the Sidoarjo region, East Java which has been polluted by the Lapindo mudflow containing various chemical compounds, one of which is lead (Pb) heavy metal. Isolation of bacteria in the environment contaminated with Pb allows bacteria that have the potential as bioremediation agents to grow. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of heavy metal Pb and isolate and identify lead (Pb) tolerant bacteria in water and sediment at Porong river, Sidoarjo. Sampling of water and sediment was carried out at 2 sampling points based on the presence of Lapindo mud waste flow. Analysis of the heavy metal content of Pb was carried out using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Bacterial isolation was carried out on NA media containing 10 ppm Pb of heavy metal and incubated for 24 hours at 300C. Bacterial isolates were identified based on the macroscopic and microscopic properties and biochemical tests. The results of the heavy metal content of Pb at sampling point 1 in water was 0.81 ppm, and in sediment was 0.98 ppm while at sampling point 2 in water was 2.93 ppm, and in sediment was 3.88 ppm. The results of bacterial identification obtained as many as 6 bacterial isolates belonging to 3 genera of bacteria including Bacillus, Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas

    Perancangan Aquatic Sport Center merupakan gagasan dalam upaya menghidupkan kembali citra dari cabang olahraga akuatik di Indonesia sebagaimana objek tersebut dapat menjadi wadah pelatihan para atlet profesional dan pengunjung yang ingin tertarik terhadap olahraga akuatik. Kota Surabaya mempunyai banyak sekali histori para atlet berprestasi, maka dari itu pemilihan objek lokasi di Kota Surabaya dapat menambah citra yang cukup baik untuk olahraga akuatik nasional, mengingat Kota Surabaya juga menjadi kota terbesar kedua di Indonesia. Menanggapi isu tersebut, Perancangan ini akan direncanakan untuk menjawab seluruh isu tersebut. Penggunaan pendekatan metafora kombinasi dalam perancangan ini, sebagai salah satu upaya untuk memperkenalkan kembali olahraga akuatik terhadap masyarakat luas.     The Covid-19 pandemic that hit almost all countries and it also happens in Indonesia, caused a huge impact, especially in the economic, educational, health and social fields. Many countries are experiencing extraordinary crisis due to the long-lasting Covid-19 pandemic. One example of the effect that is felt by almost the entire world community with the Covid-19 pandemic is in the economic field, this situation can be shown by the countless number of business fields that have experienced a crisis and even ended in bankruptcy. However, looking at the situation and the realities of life, business actors are starting to think about utilizing and optimizing the use of digital media, information technology media and also social media. This needs to be done by micro, small and medium enterprises or also known as “UMKM” actors to gradually transform from business forms that previously used conventional models to digitalization models. Through writing this journal, the researchers will propose a model for designing a marketplace application platform that can be used as a medium for “UMKM” actors who are members of the Prosperous Indonesia “UMKM” Cooperative (KOMINDO) to be able to market and sell various products produced by each KOMINDO member.Pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda di hampir seluruh negara dan tidak terkecuali di Negara Indonesia, menyebabkan dampak yang sangat besar terutama pada bidang ekonomi, pendidikan, kesehatan dan sosial. Banyak negara mengalami keadaan krisis yang luar biasa dikarenakan pandemi Covid-19 yang cukup lama berlangsung. Salah satu contoh dari efek yang sangat dirasakan oleh hampir seluruh masyarakat dunia dengan adanya pandemi Covid-19 adalah di bidang ekonomi, hal ini dibuktikan dengan sudah tidak terhitung lagi jumlah bidang usaha yang mengalami krisis dan bahkan berujung dengan kebangkrutan. Namun demikian, melihat kepada situasi dan realita kehidupan tersebut, para pelaku usaha mulai memikirkan untuk memanfaatkan serta mengoptimalkan penggunaan media digital, media teknologi informasi dan juga media sosial. Hal tersebut perlu dilakukan oleh para pelaku UMKM untuk secara bertahap melakukan transformasi dari bentuk usaha yang sebelumnya menggunakan model konvensional menjadi model digitalisasi.     The National Students admissions (SNPDB) for Madrasah Aliyah is managed by the Directorate of Madrasah Curriculum, Facilities, Institutions and Student Affairs. It is essential for the Directorate and Madrasah to explore patterns and knowledge from admission data in formulating policies and programs from to MAN. Educational Data Clustering (EDC) is a data mining method that is implemented in the education area. K-means is applied to group students based on the results of learning potential and academic potential tests that will be used for development program and student admission policies at MAN-IC. The best results from the experiments tested with Silhouette dividing the data into 2 clusters are excellent and good. The Silhouete value indicates the cluster structure in the medium predicate.. The results present the distribution of clusters in 23 MAN-IC, distribution of personality profiles of prospective students, as well as recommendations for conducting tests in Madrasah.Seleksi Nasional Peserta Didik Baru (SNPDB) Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Unggulan dikelola oleh Direktorat Kurikulum, Sarana, Kelembagaan dan Kesiswaan Madrasah. Menjadi penting bagi Direktorat dan Madrasah untuk menggali pola dan pengetahuan dari data seleksi  dalam penyusunan kebijakan dan program pada MAN Unggulan.. MAN Insan Cendekia (MAN-IC) merupakan madrasah aliyah negeri unggulan yang paling diminati. Educational Data Clustering (EDC) merupakan metode data mining yang dimplementasikan dibidang pendidikan. K-means diterapkan untuk mengelompokkan Siswa berdasarkan hasil tes potensi belajar dan potensi akademik yang akan digunakan untuk penyusunan program dan kebijakan seleksi siswa pada MAN-IC. Hasil terbaik dari ekperimen yang diuji dengan Silhouette membagi data menjadi 2 klaster sangat baik dan baik.  Nilai Silhouete menunjukkan struktur klaster pada predikat medium. Hasil pengelompokan menyajikan sebaran klaster di 23 MAN-IC, sebaran profil kepribadian dari calon peserta didik, serta rekomendasi untuk pelaksanaan tes di Madrasah

    Morphological characteristics of halophilic bacteria in traditional salt production

    The use of bacteria in improving the quality of salt on a laboratory scale is still minimal. Bacteria are found in seawater as raw materials for various types of salt. One of the bacteria that are tolerant to salinity levels in raw saltwater is halophilic bacteria. Exploration of halophilic bacteria isolates contained in seawater as raw material for salt is an effort to provide initial information on the use of these bacteria in improving the quality and quality of salt. This study aims to determine the morphological characteristics and gram grouping of halophilic bacteria contained in raw water, reservoir water, and evaporator water during the traditional salt production process. The methods used in this study were bacterial isolation, purification, and gram staining test. Morphological characteristics were carried out by visual observation of bacterial colonies formed in Petri dishes, while the gram test of bacteria was carried out by staining pure isolates. Morphological characteristics and groupings of gram bacteria were observed under a CX43RF binocular microscope with a digital camera type MDCE-5C. The results of this study found 2 isolates circular in raw saltwater, 5 isolates in irregular, filamentous and circular shapes in reservoir water, and 3 isolates in circular and filamentous shape in purification water. The bacterial isolates found varied in the form of groups of gram-negative bacteria and groups of positive bacteria, while the predominant form of bacteria was bacilli. The results of this study are expected to be initial information that can be used as a reference to improve the quality and quantity of salt production

    The zebra dove (Geopelia striata) has been a long-time favorite of many people for bird-keeping and birdsong competition which are common pastimes in Southeast Asia. The diversity of zebra doves below the species level still needs to be investigated in terms of breeding, projecting the development of internal or external bird-keeping markets, and conservation for populations in the wild as potential damage-control of the captured bird market. This study aimed to study the morphologically significant differences between the main groups of zebra doves (Local, Bangkok, Cemani Majapahit, Cemani, and Golden) and certain coat colors (silver, mocca, white striated, white cotton, cream, and black) which are traded in Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research was divided into two stages, namely surveys to breeders and hobbyists and morphometric and qualitative data collection, namely color. The results of the morphometric measurements of each individual were then grouped using SPSS Statistics and the Unweighted Pair Group Method with Arithmetic (UPGMA) method to determine whether the variables tested are significantly different. To see the clustering and distribution of the tested variables, Principal Component Analysis was performed. The results obtained show the amount of overlap in the scree plot, this proves that there is no significant difference between the race and color variants of zebra doves grouped by traders in the Special Region of Yogyakarta

    Kadar Klorofil Daun Mangrove Di Kawasan Pelabuhan Hurnala Maluku Tengah

    The aim of this study was to determine the chlorophyll content of mangrove leaves in the Hurnala port area of ​​Central Maluku. This research was conducted on June 24 – August 24, 2021 in the Hurnala port area of ​​Central Maluku. Sampling was carried out of mangrove leaves at three sampling stations at station 1 (boat berth), station 2 (Hurnala port) and station 3 (Estuary of the river). The chlorophyll content test was carried out in the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Department of Chemistry, Pattimura University, Ambon with UV-Vis spectrophotometer using 652 nm and 665 nm. The results showed that the chlorophyll content of mangrove leaves was at station 2 (17.3362 g/mL), station 3 (8.2885 g/mL) and station 1 (7.0349 g/mL)
