Cartografias em Libras
Get PDFO que os mapas convencionais não revelam? Quais componentes histórico-afetivos estão ausentes da representação cartográfica tradicional, mas ainda assim permeiam a nossa espacialidade? Como esses elementos podem ser experienciados no espaço, como guardá-los em sua eterna efemeridade? É possível estabelecer diálogos entre as vivências dos múltiplos sujeitos que ali transitam? Com a “Cartografia em Libras”, pretendemos formular processos que julgamos serem capazes de responder criativamente a essas perguntas, refletindo sobre a relação sempre em construção de (re)criação entre a memória e o espaço, a partir dos atravessamentos e das experimentações entre o sujeito e o lugar das atividades cotidianas. A “Cartografia em Libras” tem um papel muito importante na compreensão das dificuldades encontradas por aqueles que apresentam algum tipo de necessidade especial e precisam fazer uso do seu direito à cidade. Sendo assim, desenvolvemos no ambiente escolar variadas formas de expressão, comunicação e integração dos artefatos técnicos computacionais aos processos de formação e qualificação da mão de obra discente e docente quanto à Educação Especial.

Abstract
What do conventional maps not reveal? Which historical-affective components are missing from traditional cartographic representation, but still permeate our spatiality? How can these elements be experienced in space, how to keep them in their eternal ephemerality? Is it possible to establish dialogues between the experiences of the multiple subjects who transit there? With “Cartography in Libras”, we intend to formulate processes that we believe are capable of responding creatively to these questions, reflecting on the ever-evolving relationship of (re) creation between memory and space, from the crossings and experiments between the subject and the place of daily activities. “Cartography in Libras” has a very important role in understanding the difficulties encountered by those who have some kind of special need and need to make use of their right to the city. Therefore, in the school environment, we develop various forms of expression, communication and integration of computer technical artifacts to the processes of training and qualification of the student and teaching manpower regarding Special Education.

Conferência de Medellín e a paz como denúncia das injustiças no continente latino-americano
No full textOs acontecimentos que cercaram a Segunda Conferência do Episcopado Latino-Americano em Medellín, revelam muito sobre a redação do próprio documento. Em um continente cujas principais nações eram governadas por regimes autoritários que maquiavam as grandes desigualdades sociais, os bispos de reunidos em Medellín mostraram por meio de um impactante texto, o quanto estavam inseridos na realidade dos povos mais simples. O presente artigo busca fazer um comparativo entre o capítulo da Paz no texto de Medellín e as realidades presentes em três grandes países do continente (Brasil, Argentina e Paraguai). A política autoritária e a grande discrepância social são denunciadas no texto que tomou por base a Populorum Progressio de Paulo VI e o movimento transformador proveniente do Concílio Vaticano II. Dados políticos e econômicos alheios ao ambiente da teologia colaboram na percepção da capacidade de análise de conjunturas relacionadas as situações nas quais a própria Igreja Católica estava inserida
ANÁLISE DO VESTUÁRIO ESPORTIVO FEMININO SOB A ÓTICA DO PÚBLICO PLUS SIZE: ESTUDO SOBRE ASPECTOS ERGONÔMICOS
Get PDFThe obesity rates in Brazil are advancing and bringing implications to people's daily lives. However, there is also a growing interest in health, good eating habits and sports. The present study sought to understand how the experience of plus size users is in relation to sports clothing. The research was divided into three stages, the first being a theoretical survey, the second applied through interviews, and the third of final writing. In total, 34 participants, all female, weight loss group in the city of Caçador - SC, the “EmagreSer” program. As a result of the evaluation of the garments, it was found that there was little difference in satisfaction on the part of the normal BMI audience in relation to the plus size audience, with several points of improvement in general, such as: adaptation of materials for greater thermal comfort and hidric, adjustment of sizes for more adequate modeling, improvement the confection to avoid wearing out the seams and, among others, and making quality parts available at low prices.Os índices de obesidade no Brasil estão avançando e trazendo diversas implicações para o cotidiano das pessoas. Também há, entretanto, um crescente interesse sobre saúde, bons hábitos alimentares e práticas esportivas. O presente estudo buscou compreender como é a experiência das usuárias plus size com relação ao vestuário esportivo. A pesquisa foi dividida em três etapas, sendo a primeira de levantamento teórico, a segunda aplicada, por meio de entrevistas, e a terceira de redação final. No total, foram 34 participantes, todas do sexo feminino, escolhidas por fazerem parte de um grupo de emagrecimento na cidade de Caçador/SC, o programa “EmagreSer”. Como resultado da avaliação das peças do vestuário, constatou-se que houve pouca diferença na satisfação por parte do público de IMC normal com relação ao público plus size, sendo constatados diversos pontos de melhoria no geral, como: adequação de materiais para maior conforto térmico e hídrico, ajuste da grade de tamanhos para modelagem mais adequada, melhoria da confecção para evitar o desgaste das costuras e, dentre outros, a disponibilização de peças de qualidade com preços acessíveis
USER EXPERIENCE JOURNEY WITH MULTIPLE DEVICES AND TELEPRESENCE DURING QUARANTINE

The fast growing technology and communication possibilities upgrades human-computer interactions from industrial development before computing to connecting users to many computers in a dynamic ecosystem in pervasive experiences. The new social challenges from quarantine and self-preservation takes home isolation, technology, Internet, family, education, work and communication to surface new sense of things and interactions. Each generation has their own perspectives and mental models about the pandemic times and the use of technology, creating themselves the necessary bridges between channels to make their experience journeys easier and to reach objectives. This research focus on understanding how quarantine and social isolation in Rio de Janeiro affected the 4 generations’ interaction with digital devices and he diversity of channels, how it affected their own sense of space and isolation, influencing communication, entertainment, work and learning. Geografia e Educação Inclusiva
Get PDFNesse artigo tenta-se tratar um pouco, na forma de um pequeno ensaio, sobre o que seja talvez uma das maiores preocupações e desafios no contexto atual do ensino de geografia, onde o exercício da docência, cada vez mais complexo, exige a busca constante de caminhos que considerem as diferenças em suas várias nuances, facultando o conhecimento a que todos têm direito. O conceito de inclusão, acredita-se, perpassa significados como reconhecer, compreender, abranger, fazer parte e fazer pertencer, o que exige mudanças em relação ao ensino e à concepção e produção de recursos didáticos. A Geografia, ciência que pode ser entendida antes de tudo como uma forma especial de pensar, possibilita, por vários recursos, compreender a realidade espacial produzida em sociedade, revelando-se, assim entende-se, essencial na educação inclusiva. O objetivo da pesquisa envolve analisar de forma breve algumas possíveis demandas e desafios no ensino de alunos cegos ou com baixa visão, a partir dos materiais didáticos especializados utilizados no ensino de geografia no Instituto Benjamin Constant (IBC) - Brasil, para a construção de um processo de ensino e aprendizagem que seja inclusivo e que ao mesmo tempo desperte a atenção para a importância da ciência geográfica. O estudo caracteriza-se por ser qualitativo, com suporte teórico em autores da literatura sobre o tema de ensino e inclusão, apoiado por uma análise das condições gerais de concepção e produção de materiais didáticos para o ensino de geografia no IBC.

Abstract
In this article we try to treat a little, in the form of a short essay, about what is perhaps one of the biggest concerns and challenges in the current context of geography teaching, where the increasingly complex teaching exercise requires the constant search in ways that consider the differences in their various nuances, providing the knowledge to which everyone is entitled. The concept of inclusion, it is believed, permeates meanings such as recognizing, understanding, encompassing, being part of and belonging to, which requires changes in relation to teaching and the design and production of didactic resources. The Geography, a science that can be understood above all as a special way of thinking, makes it possible, through various resources, to understand the spatial reality produced in society, proving to be essential in inclusive education. The objective of the research involves briefly analyzing some possible demands and challenges in the teaching of blind or low vision students, from the specialized teaching materials used in geography teaching at the Benjamin Constant Institute (IBC) - Brazil, for the construction of a teaching and learning process that is inclusive and at the same time draws attention to the importance of geographical science. The study is characterized by being qualitative, with theoretical support in literature authors on the subject of teaching and inclusion, supported by an analysis of the general conditions of conception and production of didactic materials for teaching geography at IBC.

AVALIAÇÃO COOPERATIVA PARA IDENTIFICAR PROBLEMAS DE USABILIDADE NA INTERFACE DE UMA BASE DE DADOS BIBLIOGRÁFICA TEMÁTICA, A PARTIR DA PERFORMANCE DO USUÁRIO EXPERIENTE
Get PDFThis work aimed to evaluate the usability of the bibliographic database made available by one of the thematic libraries of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation to consult its collection. It was intended to understand the factors that have an influence on the search for information in databases and the usability component, experienced user performance (EUP), was considered as a factor for choosing the research population, which was composed by librarians working in the library. As a method, cooperative evaluation was used, which has the advantage of direct interaction between researcher and user, to identify the most significant problems of a system. As a result, it was found that the experience of librarians in using the system and their knowledge about the collection and its theme had an impact on the search process, facilitating the use of the bibliographic database. At the end, the expert’s considerations for improving the system were listed.Este trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar a usabilidade da base de dados bibliográfica disponibilizada por uma das bibliotecas temáticas da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz para consulta ao seu acervo. Pretendeu-se compreender os fatores que tem influência sobre a realização da busca por informação em bases de dados e considerou-se o componente da usabilidade, performance do usuário experiente (EUP), como fator para a escolha do recorte da população, a qual foi composta por bibliotecários atuantes na biblioteca. Como método foi utilizada a avaliação cooperativa, que possui como vantagem a interação direta entre pesquisador e usuário, para identificação dos problemas mais significativos de um sistema. Como resultado, verificou-se que a experiência dos bibliotecários no uso do sistema e o domínio do conhecimento sobre o acervo e o seu tema tiveram impacto sobre o processo de busca, facilitando o uso da base de dados bibliográfica. Ao final foram elencadas considerações dos especialistas para melhoria do sistema
NEUROERGONOMIA, NEUROARQUITETURA E AMBIENTE CONSTRUÍDO – TENDENCIA FUTURA OU PRESENTE?
Get PDFA strong convergence for neuroscience studies is recorded in recent years in various areas of knowledge. In this scenario, the research treated here is focused on the application of neuroscience in human activity studies (neuroergonomics), developed within constructed environments that awaken sensations and emotions in their users (neuroarchitecture), also concerned with the inclusion of people with disabilities in the use of spaces neuroaccessibility). The objective is to identify the adequacy of strong combination of tools and their pertinence in this line of ergonomic approach. As results, we understand the association of the use of the Electroencephalography technique with Virtual Reality in residential spaces with elderly users as an innovative element and with potential for investigations of the environment constructed from the ergonomic point of view. In conducting the research of urban paths by blind people with the help of Assistive Technologies, the results of EEG recordings indicate activations of brain areas by waves that indicate reactions of tranquility, attention and anxiety, perfectly associative to the moments and situations experienced. Although with few results, the studies indicate the opening of a range of possibilities for further research with a character of high-relevance novelty.Uma forte convergência para os estudos da neurociência é registrada nos últimos anos em várias áreas do conhecimento. Neste cenário, as pesquisas aqui tratadas estão centradas na aplicação da neurociência em estudos de atividades humanas (neuroergonomia), desenvolvidas no interior de ambientes construídos que despertam sensações e emoções em seus usuários (neuroarquitetura), preocupados também com a inclusão de pessoas com deficiência no uso de espaços (neuroacessibilidade). O objetivo é identificar a adequação de forte conjugação de ferramentas e a sua pertinência nesta linha de abordagem ergonômica. Como resultados, entende-se a associação da utilização da técnica de Eletroencefalografia à Realidade Virtual em espaços residenciais com usuários idosos como elemento inovador e com potencial para as investigações do ambiente construído do ponto de vista ergonômico. Na condução da pesquisa de trajetos urbanos por pessoas cegas com auxílio de Tecnologias Assistivas, os resultados das gravações de EEG apontam ativações de áreas cerebrais por ondas que indicam reações de tranquilidade, atenção e ansiedade, perfeitamente associáveis ao momentos e situações vivenciadas. Embora contando com poucos resultados, os trabalhos indicam a abertura de um leque de possibilidades de novas pesquisas com caráter de ineditismo de alta relevância
Does "Terrorism" make sense?
Get PDFThis paper approaches political (de)radicalization from the conflict transformation lenses (Lederach, 2015) to analyze the data collected in a case study, which was conducted in Lebanon in 2017 and 2018. This study includes seven semi-structured in-depth interviews with seven ex-combatants and one set of focus group interviews with twenty ex-combatants. The analysis of the generated data aims to understand the radicalization and de-radicalization processes and to identify the driving factors of twenty-three ex-combatants. Besides the important role of various common driving factors that scholars, in general, reached a consensus about, the conflict transformation perspectives on (de)-radicalization uncovers two new mechanisms. The first one is the “I did not know – I did not trust” and the second one is “Normality of Violence”. These two mechanisms were fundamental driving factors in the (de)radicalization processes of the participants in this case study. Likewise, the results of this case study supported the opinion suggesting a minimal role of ideology in (de)radicalization processes and political violence
As Influências das Novas Tecnologias no Ensino da Geografia
Get PDFEste artigo apresenta uma análise acerca do surgimento das novas tecnologias, sua evolução e importância no nosso cotidiano. Partindo desse princípio e motivada em tal afirmativa, esse estudo teve como principal objetivo mostrar a atuação das tecnologias no processo de ensino-aprendizagem nas aulas de Geografia.
Nesta pesquisa, constatou-se que: unindo a curiosidade, a facilidade dos alunos no manuseio das novas tecnologias e a inserção das mesmas em sala de aula, a compreensão dos conteúdos tornou-se mais simplificada, pois a união dos conhecimentos geográficos e as tecnologias proporcionam a aproximação, inclusão, integração e interatividade do aluno com a Geografia, colegas de classe, professores e proposta pedagógica.
O trabalho tem como foco a área educacional, de abordagem qualitativa com eixo epistemológico histórico crítico-dialético, contribuindo assim, para a compreensão da importância das novas tecnologias, a nossa dependência e subsídios das mesmas nas atividades cotidianas.

Abstract
This article presents an analysis of the emergence of new technologies as well as their evolution and importance in our daily lives. Based on these principles, this study aims to show the performance of technologies in the teaching-learning process in Geography classes.
This analysis found that: by joining curiosity, students ease in the handling new technologies and their use in the classroom, understanding of contents has become simplified. The combining of Geographic knowledge and technologies provides an ease of approach, inclusion, integration and interactivity between student and geography, classmates, teachers and pedagogical proposal.
This work focuses on the educational area, with a qualitative approach to the critical-dialectical historical epistemological axis, thus contributing to the understanding of the importance of new technologies, our reliance on them and its contributions to our daily activities.
