International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes: Investasi Asing dan Jaminan Hukum di Indonesia
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is one of the forms of international investment that has significantly contributed to the prosperity of the host country. However, with the growth of the economy, investment disputes have been on the rise, involving both investors and the host government. While Undang-Undang Nomor 25 Tahun 2007 provides sufficient legal safeguards to address potential conflicts between investors and the government, host countries often find it necessary to enter into specific agreements. Undang-undang Nomor 5 Tahun 1968, which ratified the ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes) Convention, as a means to protect foreign investors from conflicts with the Indonesian government. This convention serves as a mechanism for dispute resolution and as an international policy instrument to promote economic development. The objective of this research is to elucidate the role and benefits of ICSID arbitration in resolving investment disputes in developing countries and to explain the mechanisms and procedures applied in resolving such disputes. This paper is the result of normative legal research, which examines legal rules relevant to the subject matter. ICSID aims to balance the interests of host states and foreign investors, offering an efficient mechanism for settling legal disputes in the field of foreign direct investment. The ICSID agreement essentially establishes the authority of ICSID to resolve disputes based on the written agreements of the parties involved
PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PESTISIDA ORGANIK DAUN PEPAYA (Carica papaya L.) TERHADAP SERANGAN HAMA PADA TANAMAN JERUK MANIS (Citrus sinensis L.)
ABSTRAK  Jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis L.) tergolong buah penting. Permintaan jeruk terus bertambah dengan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk, kesadaran masyarakat akan kesehatan dan pola makan berimbang. Salah satu penyebab menurunnya produksi buah jeruk adalah serangan hama. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui respon tanaman jeruk manis terhadap pemberian ekstrak daun pepaya sebagai pestisida organik. Metode penelitian menggunakan pre-eksperimental designs dengan pola one-group pretest-posttest design. Metode analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk bertujuan untuk menentukan apakah data yang diambil dari populasi tergolong normal atau tidak. Uji lanjut menggunakan uji statistik paired sample test bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan rata-rata dari dua sampel yang berpasangan. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa data penelitian pada pre-test dan post-test pada serangan hama pada tanaman jeruk manis terdistribusi normal dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan ekstrak pestisida organik daun pepaya (Carica papaya L.) pada tanaman jeruk manis. Respon tanaman jeruk manis setelah diberi perlakuan ekstrak pestisida organik daun pepaya tergolong baik (33.37%-66.66%) dan sangat baik (66.67%-100%). Pemberian ekstrak pestisida organik daun pepaya dapat mengurangi serangan hama pada tanaman jeruk manis.  ABSTRAKSweet oranges (Citrus sinensis L.) are classified as important fruits. Demand for oranges continues to increase with increasing population, public awareness of health and a balanced diet. One of the causes of decreased citrus fruit production is pest attacks. The aim of the research was to determine the response of sweet orange plants to the application of pepaya leaf extract as an organic pesticide. The research method uses pre-experimental designs with a one-group pretest-posttest design pattern. The data analysis method uses the Shapiro-Wilk normality test which aims to determine whether the data taken from the population is classified as normal or not. Further tests using the paired sample test statistical test aim to find out whether there is a difference in the average of two paired samples. The results of the analysis showed that the research data on the pre-test and post-test on pest attacks on sweet orange plants were normally distributed and there was a significant difference between before and after treatment with organic pesticide extract of pepaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) on sweet orange plants. The response of sweet orange plants after being treated with organic pesticide extract from pepaya leaves was classified as good (33.37%-66.66%) and very good (66.67%-100%). Providing organic pesticide extract from pepaya leaves can reduce pest attacks on sweet orange plants.Â
KAJIAN MACAM PUPUK NPK DAN POPULASI TANAMAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum. L) ASAL BENIH (TRUE SHALLOT SEED)
ABSTRAKKonsumsi bawang merah oleh sektor rumah tangga tahun naik sebesar 512% dibanding tahun 2021. Permintaan bawang merah yang makin meningkat perlu diimbangi dengan produksi dan produktivitas yang tinggi. Penggunaan bahan tanam umbi konsumsi sebagai bahan tanam memiliki beberapa kelemahan antara lain kualitas benih yang menurun, potensi membawa hama dan penyakit, sulitnya penyimpanan dan pendistribusian. Bahan tanam dari umbi perlu biaya tinggi mencapai 40% dari total biaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh macam pupuk NPK dan populasi tanaman terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L) asal benih (True Shallot Seed). Penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL), disusun secara faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu macam pupuk NPK terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu M0: tanpa pemupukan; M1: NPK Mutiara; M2: NPK Phonska; dan M3: NPK campuran Urea, SP 36 dan KCl dan populasi tanaman terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu J1: populasi 50 tanaman/m2 dan J2: populasi 20 tanaman/m2 sehingga ada 8 kombinasi perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada interaksi antara macam pupuk NPK dan populasi tanaman terhadap parameter yang diamati. Perlakuan macam pupuk NPK tidak berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun pada umur 14 dan 28 hari setelah tanam (HST) tetapi berpengaruh nyata pada umur 42 HST. Populasi tanaman hanya berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman pada umur 14 HST dan jumlah umbi/tanaman. Hasil tertinggi bobot umbi/tanaman diperoleh pada perlakuan NPK campuran sebesar 177.38 g/tanaman dan terendah pada perlakuan tanpa pupuk, sebesar 155.00 g/tanaman. Perlakuan populasi umbi 20 tanaman/m2 memberikan hasil 17.36 umbi/tanaman.  ABSTRACTConsumption of shallots by the household sector this year increased by 512% compared to 2021. The increasing demand for shallots needs to be balanced with high production and productivity. The use of consumption tuber as a planting material has several disadvantages, including decreased seed quality, the potential of carrying pests and diseases, and difficulty in storing and distributing. Planting materials from tubers require high costs, reaching 40% of the total cost. This research aims to determine the effect of types of NPK fertilizer and plant population on the growth and yield of shallot plants (Allium ascalonicum L) from seed (True Shallot Seed). The research used the Complete Randomized Block Design (RAKL) method, arranged factorially consisting of two factors, namely the type of NPK fertilizer and the plant population. The NPK fertilizers consisted of 4 levels, namely M0: without fertilization; M1: Pearl NPK; M2: NPK Phonska; and M3: NPK mixture of Urea, SP 36 and KCl, and the plant population consisted of 2 levels, namely J1: population of 50 plants/m2 and J2: population of 20 plants/m2. So, there were 8 treatment combinations which were repeated 4 times. The research results show that there was no interaction between the type of NPK fertilizer and plant population on the observed parameters. Treatments with NPK fertilizers did not have a significant effect on plant height and number of leaves at 14 and 28 days after planting (DAT) but had a significant effect at 42 DAT. Plant population only had a significant effect on plant height at 14 DAP and number of tubers/plants. The highest results for tuber/plant weight were obtained in the mixed NPK treatment, amounting to 177.38 g/plant and the lowest in the treatment without fertilizer, amounting to 155.00 g/plant. A tuber population treatment of 20 plants/m2 gave a yield of 17.36 tubers/plant.Â
The role of community dynamics on child wellbeing in the context of climate change in the Mwanza Region, Tanzania
The study explored the relationship between community dynamics and child wellbeing in the context of climate change in two districts, Nyamagana and Ilemela, found in the Mwanza Region in Tanzania. This study used a mixed methods research design with 458 participants purposively selected through systematic random sampling. On the other hand, the study applied mixed methods research design (MMRD), which incorporated questionnaires, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews (KII) as data collection methods. The findings established that climate change negatively impacted children's wellbeing through higher temperatures, erratic rainfall, food scarcity, disrupted schooling, and increased diseases. The community dynamics identified that enhanced child wellbeing were strong local resilience and coping strategies, support groups, educational initiatives, and environmental conservation commitment. The study explored a range of community-driven strategies and interventions to enhance child wellbeing, including local adaptation practices, education, improved healthcare, infrastructure development, water conservation, and early warning systems. The research also underlines climate-resilient infrastructure as one of the explicit elements towards tackling climate-related challenges and promoting child wellbeing. The research provides priceless insights and recommendations to communities, stakeholders, and policymakers on tackling climate-related challenges affecting child wellbeing in the Mwanza region and the world at large.JEL Classification O13; Q00; Q54To cite this article: Joseph, L. Legal Problems in Regional Financial Management Policy in Central Sulawesi Province
The Central Government makes full use of the resources assigned to the region in order to support the realization of regional autonomy, the effectiveness of the national economy, and the application of the principles of good governance, transparency, and accountability. The government increases professionalism, transparency, and responsibility in its administration as a manifestation of regional financial management. There is no denying that managing a nation and its government takes a lot of resources. How to handle regulations and issues pertaining to financial management in Central Sulawesi Province is the issue. The examination of statutory and doctrinal literature was prioritized in this research, which was undertaken utilizing normative legal research and analysis techniques. Deciding on policies while making use of legislative documents, contextual methods, and case approaches, as well as the broad concepts of the philosophy of power and government action. The community, as well as managers, supervisors, and regulators, work together to supervise regional financial management. The conclusion is that in order to achieve good governance and the involvement of local governments and people in achieving regional development goals, regional financial management strategies must incorporate openness and accountability
Efektivitas Penggunaan Teknologi Building Information Modelling (BIM) Dalam Desain Rumah 3 Lantai
Permasalahan industri kontruksi saat ini adalah kesalahan dan kelalaian dokumentasi dan komunikasi yang sering menyebabkan pembengkakan biaya dan keterlambatan yang dapa menimbulkan konflik pada proyek. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut diperlukan sistem integrasi yang baik untuk mengkoordinasi dan mengkolaborasi antar pemangku kepentingan. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut yaitu Building Information Modeling (BIM) yang merupakan salah satu lompatan terbesar dalam Industri ( Architecture, Engineer, Contractor ) atau AEC sejak teknologi komputer CAD. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu merancang bangunan rumah 3 lantai dengan software Autodesk revit, untuk mengetahui perbandingan antara software revit dengan autocad dan memberikan manfaat sebagai media komunikasi dalam kolaborasi pemangku kepentingan . Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pengambilan data yaitu desain dua dimensi rumah 3 lantai dan metode analisis yaitu membandingkan Software Autodesk Revit dengan AutoCad. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi berbasis BIM dalam merancang sebuah bangunan dapat mempermudah proses desain, meningkatkan efisiensi waktu, sumber daya manusia, dan sebagainya. Inovasi Mesin Tempering Coklat Berbasis IoT untuk Meningkatkan Kapasitas Produksi dan Kualitas Produk pada UKM Tithiek Tenger
Program pemberdayaan berbasis masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi UKM Tithiek Tenger, yang berlokasi di Kota Malang. UKM ini memproduksi berbagai makanan ringan, terutama coklat dengan motif topeng Malangan. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah keterbatasan alat produksi manual yang mempengaruhi efisiensi dan kapasitas produksi. Program ini berfokus pada pengembangan mesin tempering coklat berbasis IoT yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan produksi dan kualitas coklat dengan kontrol suhu yang lebih akurat. Selain itu, pelatihan manajemen perawatan mesin dan manajemen kualitas coklat juga diberikan kepada mitra untuk memastikan pemeliharaan dan peningkatan cita rasa produk. Implementasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing UKM dan memberikan dampak positif jangka panjang bagi masyarakat serta memberikan pengalaman praktik bagi dosen dan mahasiswa dalam program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM)
IMPLEMENTASI TEKNOLOGI IOT UNTUK PENINGKATAN PRODUKTIVITAS BUDIDAYA LOBSTER DI RAJ ORGANIK KOTA MALANG
Teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi operasional di sektor akuakultur, termasuk budidaya lobster. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan teknologi IoT guna meningkatkan produktivitas budidaya lobster di CV. RAJ Organik, Kota Malang. Implementasi teknologi dilakukan melalui empat tahapan utama, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, dan pendampingan serta evaluasi. Tahap sosialisasi bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dasar tentang teknologi IoT kepada 20 peserta yang terlibat. Pada tahap pelatihan, peserta dilatih untuk mengoperasikan perangkat IoT, seperti sensor suhu, pH, dan oksigen terlarut, yang dipasang di kolam budidaya lobster. Penerapan teknologi dilakukan dengan memasang perangkat IoT di kolam, yang memungkinkan pemantauan kualitas air secara real-time. Tahap pendampingan dilaksanakan untuk memastikan bahwa para peserta mampu mengoperasikan teknologi ini secara mandiri, serta untuk menyelesaikan masalah teknis yang mungkin muncul selama penggunaan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan produktivitas lobster sebesar 20% dan pengurangan biaya operasional sebesar 10%. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta terkait teknologi IoT, dari 50% sebelum kegiatan sosialisasi menjadi 85% setelahnya. Sebanyak 87% peserta berhasil mengoperasikan perangkat IoT dengan baik dan mandiri. Kesimpulannya, teknologi IoT terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi operasional budidaya lobster di CV. This article in particular, wishes to hopefully helps to learn more about the usage of Intelectual Property ini such cases. The article aims to know, how the process of valuation is managed, the methods and the weigh point on how valuable is on Intelectual Property. The differences of many standards on how to define the valuation of an Intelectual Property makes it even harder to determine which appraisement should be used on these kinds of cases, the availability of authorities such as KJPP, also contributes a lot for the progress of valuatin an asset itself.
