Quadratic notation on a red four-line staff (14-14.5 mm, ruled with a rastrum), custos, linea. The red colour in this manuscript, used in rubrics, initials, staff etc., is exceptionally light. ANTIPHONARIUM.A series of six antiphons is the first unit visible, but no rubric clarifies what the hour is, or what are the hours they are documented for. Owing to the fact that the series is followed by three great responsories (Were there more in the original manuscript ?) it is possible that all these chants together represent the I nocturn. Thus this fragment may originate from a monastic antiphoner.
After the great responsories on f. 2 (three chants, the last one lacking the doxology) three psalm antiphons follow. Then an ant. ad Benedictus (Egredietur uirga) and psalm antiphons for the little hours of daytime are given. Because of the defective state of this manuscript the order of the antiphons at lauds (?) is not possible to determine, nor whether they belong to lauds at all.
