14th cf. Large initials: 1) red, and 2) blue (various tones). Some red ones have been completed with blue hairlines and, conversely, blue ones with red hairlines. Small initials highlighted with red. Quadratic notation on a red Jour-line staff (11-12 mm). Besides the usual ones the letters d and b rotundum junction as clefs. Cephalicus, linea (not many). Photograph off. 5" on p. 10.
ANTIPHONARIUM,Swedish/The fragment conforms to the printed breviary of the Uppsala archdiocese, but the common material for one confessor and bishop (commune unius confessoris et pontifiicis) agrees with the use of Linköping suffragan diocese. Breviarium Upsalense 1496 passim. Breviarium Lincopense 1950-1958 pp. 884-885. The feasts of St. Bridget are not observed, which suggests that the codex was copied before her canonization in 1391.

The foliation runs in "opening signatures" (see p. 161): red small letter in the middle of the head of the verso, red numeral in the same manner on the recto. Bears a stylistic resemblance to Antiphoners Nos. 156, 157, 173, etc. See the review accompanying the description of the last mentioned.

For example fi. 3 is just a remnant consisting ofi two little pieces. Bif. 1 /2 is translucent and covered throughout with glue. It has been compiled by sewing two singletons together.

ANTIPHONARIUM.The sequence of leaves suggested here may be erroneous in comparison with the original codex. In many traditions saints'days are divided among the observances of the temporale during the Christmas period, as known.Therefore ff. 4 and 5 could alternatively be set before ff. 1-3.
