The Importance of Counselor Communication Management in Trauma Recovery for Child Victims of Sexual Violence
Children who are vulnerable to experiencing sexual violence have limited knowledge and experience, so it is challenging to understand acts of violence that occur to them and how to respond to them. This condition makes it increasingly difficult for them to open up and express the traumatic event. The conditions like this will complicate trauma recovery efforts by counselors. This study aims to reveal counselor communication management that examines, among other things, manpower planning management, case management, and the importance of communication management in the trauma recovery process of child victims of sexual violence. A two-year longitudinal qualitative case study was conducted to find reasons and reveal the importance of communication management for counselors in the recovery of trauma from child victims of sexual violence using data through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies from 14 informants at the Center for the Protection of Women and Children. The study results show that counselor communication management is vital to ensure that the process of handling child victims of sexual violence runs properly. This communication management is expected to be a way for the counselor to carry out his duties properly where he can manage himself, manage communication with child victims of sexual violence and manage communication with related parties, both internal and external
Discovery-Based Approach Combined with Active Learning to Improve Student Learning Experiences for STEM Students
A survey is administered to understand the application of active learning in undergraduate STEM courses. The findings observed over an academic year reflect current trends in the use of active learning. A combination of discovery-based learning and Pro-Con Grids is then used to improve long-term retention among STEM students. Students in a STEM course were provided with a course lecture prior to in-class sessions. A quiz was used for each lecture to gain insight into students’ understanding and to evaluate the effectiveness of the learning method. To measure the effectiveness of the proposed discovery-based learning two categories of metrics are used: learners' outcomes (grades) and survey (process measure) with 64 participants. The responses from the students show that discovery-based learning convinced students to find and use information rather than memorizing and repeating concepts and facilitate effective group work. In addition, the grade comparisons for three semesters indicate that the higher the use of discovery learning during the course the higher the course grades are found to be

A Case Study of the Ritual Space Construction of the Chinese Festival Series Program
TV festival gala is one important form of ritual communication of traditional Chinese festivals. The Chinese Festival Series Program innovate the ritual construction path of the program while maintaining the sense of ritual of the traditional festival galas, making the Chinese Festival Series Program a representative work of Chinese festival galas in recent years. This study aims to explore the ritual space construction of the Chinese Festival Series Program. It adopted the case study approach by taking Chinese Festival Series Program as the research object, and analyzed the text of the programs mainly from the physical space, media space, narrative space and the associated space of history and reality. The analysis results demonstrated that breaking the single physical space and building diverse scenes can make the narrative more hierarchical, and allow the audiences to experience a more realistic program space. The addition of new technology also brings richness to the narrative space. The convenient interactivity of the new media platform creates an exclusive media interaction space for the audiences. Through the ritual space construction, the Chinese Festival Series Program associate the past space with the present space, allowing the audiences to develop memory-related activities in the ritual space
Volatility and Asymmetric Effect of Crude Oil Options on Crude Oil Market: Empirical Evidence from China
Based on daily data, this paper uses the GARCH model family to empirically study the impact of crude oil option launch on the volatility and asymmetric leverage effect of crude oil futures market variables (futures price, trading volume, open interest, inventory). The conclusion is as follows: Regardless of the impact of the COVID-19, the launch of crude oil options has a long-term volatility impact on price, open interest and inventory volatility in addition to trading volume, and only has a long-term volatility impact on prices under the influence of COVID-19.Regardless of whether the impact of COVID-19 is considered, the launch of crude oil options has intensified the volatility of price yield, reduced the volatility of trading volume, open interest and inventory, and Considering COVID-19 influence, the volatility of crude oil futures prices yield has weakened, and the degree of weakening of trading volume fluctuations has decreased. Regardless of the impact of COVID-19, crude oil futures prices, trading volume, open interest, and inventory volatility all have negative asymmetric leverage effects, and the impact of bearish news is greater than the impact of bullish news. Considering the introduction of crude oil options under the influence of COVID-19: the fluctuation of crude oil futures prices yield has changed from negative asymmetry to positive asymmetric leverage effect. The asymmetric leverage effect of negative fluctuations in crude oil futures trading volume becomes smaller and decreases less than the leverage effect without considering the impact of COVID-19 after the listing of crude oil options. Fluctuations in open interest and inventory have weakened the negative asymmetric leverage effect after the launch of crude oil options. Finally, relevant policy suggestions are given for the construction of the domestic options market

The Impact of Online Negative Reviews on Consumer Purchasing Intention in the Apparel Industry: The Mediating Role of Perceived Risk
This paper constructs a model that examines how online negative reviews impact consumer purchasing intention in the apparel industry under the mediating role of perceived risk. A questionnaire survey was conducted among consumers in the clothing industry, and the collected data underwent descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results indicate that the quantity, content quality, and perceived risk of online negative reviews negatively affect purchasing intention, with the inhibitory effect of content quality being particularly prominent. Furthermore, the mediating impact of perceived risk is validated. To better understand the perceptual processes behind consumer behavior, this study reveals this connection and provides targeted online reputation management recommendations for apparel businesses. The managerial implications of this paper lie in the necessity for clothing enterprises to establish effective feedback mechanisms for online negative reviews and implement measures to reduce consumers’ perceived risk in purchasing decisions
Crisis Communication: Conceptualizing the Efficacy of Information Source Credibility on Crisis Message Acceptability and Reputation Sustainability
Recent studies have shown that social media users' perception of message acceptance and compliance during a crisis depends on its source credibility, and this has been relatively underexplored in the crisis communication context. The credibility of social media/information sources influences the users' attitudes and information quality, public engagement, and information believability during a crisis. In response to crisis communication, scholars revealed that despite the wide use of SCCT by crisis communication researchers, the theory still has limitations in evaluating factors that could potentially affect an organizational reputation. Response source credibility is a factor that influences crisis response strategies and sustains reputation. During emergencies, unreliable and untrustworthy sources of information and media coverage of content perceived as threatening can elicit aversive emotions, such as distress, depression, and mental damage, and further generate more crises. This study proposes a conceptual model for the efficacy of source credibility on message (crisis response) acceptability and reputation sustainability. To monitor the streams of research conducted on source credibility, the authors used the Scopus database to examine the numbers of research on source credibility in the domain of crisis communication and subject areas. The results revealed that the perceived information source credibility during a crisis influences message acceptance and mediates the relationships between crisis response strategies and reputation. The paper will help the crisis management team appreciate the value of source credibility and save reputation during a crisis
Development of a Bankruptcy Prediction Model for the Banking Sector in Mozambique Using Linear Discriminant Analysis
In Mozambique there is no evidence of a bankruptcy prediction model developed in the national economic context, yet, back in 2016, the national banking sector suffered a financial shock that resulted in Mozambique’s Central Bank intervention in two banks (Moza Banco, S.A. and Nosso Banco, S.A.). This was a result of the deterioration of their financial and prudential indicators, although Mozambique had been adhering to the Basel Accords since 1994. The Basel Accords provides recommendations on banking sector supervision worldwide with the aim to enhance financial system stability. While it doesn’t predict bankruptcy, the prediction model can be used as an auxiliary tool to manage that risk, but this has to be built in the national economic context. This paper develops for Mozambique’s banking sector a bankruptcy prediction model in the Mozambican context through the linear discriminant analyses method, following two assumptions: (i) composition of the sample and (ii) robustness of the financial prediction indicators (the capital structure, profitability asset concentration and asset quality) from 2012 to 2020. The developed model attained an accuracy level of 84% one year before Central Bank intervention (2015) with the entire population of 19 banks of the sector, which makes it recommendable as a risk management tool for this sector
