Customer-Centric quality management: A framework for organizational excellence in SMEs
No full textIn an era where customer expectations are continually evolving, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) must adopt innovative quality management practices to achieve organizational excellence. This review presents a customer-centric quality management framework designed specifically for SMEs, emphasizing the pivotal role of customer satisfaction in enhancing operational efficiency, product quality, and overall business performance. The framework is built on the premise that customer feedback and engagement are integral to quality management processes. By prioritizing customer needs and expectations, SMEs can develop quality assurance strategies that not only meet but exceed customer requirements. This approach involves systematic collection and analysis of customer feedback, enabling organizations to identify areas for improvement and innovate their offerings accordingly. Central to the framework are key components such as continuous improvement, employee involvement, and process optimization. Continuous improvement methodologies, like Lean and Six Sigma, are tailored to suit the unique challenges faced by SMEs, fostering a culture of quality that empowers employees at all levels. Engaging employees in quality initiatives cultivates a sense of ownership and accountability, essential for driving organizational change and enhancing service delivery. Furthermore, the framework emphasizes the importance of aligning quality management practices with customer-centric strategies. This alignment ensures that quality initiatives are not only reactive but also proactive, anticipating customer needs and adapting processes to deliver superior value. Incorporating customer relationship management (CRM) tools enhances communication, allowing SMEs to gather insights that inform quality improvements and strengthen customer loyalty. Gender disparities in agriculture remain pronounced, particularly in regions where entrenched cultural norms and societal structures limit women's participation and authority. The review highlights cases where gender-focused agricultural policies have improved gender parity, illustrating the importance of tailored interventions in transforming societal attitudes and economic roles. In regions across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, policies that prioritize resource accessibility, equitable land rights, and female-centric training programs have notably enhanced women's contributions to agriculture, often correlating with broader socio-economic gains. Drawing from these global experiences, this review provides policy recommendations for the U.S., emphasizing the need to address structural barriers that women in agriculture face. Recommendations include implementing policies that support women’s access to land ownership, credit, and agricultural technology, alongside programs that facilitate equitable participation in decision-making bodies. Additionally, policies that address rural women's labor burdens through improved childcare and healthcare access could increase female engagement in sustainable agricultural practices. Future research directions are essential for deepening understanding of the social dynamics that sustain gender inequities in agriculture. Key research areas include investigating how shifting social norms influence women’s participation in agricultural activities, assessing the role of gender-based agricultural programs in altering power structures, and examining sociological factors that affect the sustainability and effectiveness of gender-inclusive agricultural policies. This research could inform targeted, sustainable interventions and foster an environment where gender equity in agriculture is both attainable and enduring.

Drawing on Adeoye’s extensive experience in contractor HSE management, the proposed framework aims to align financial priorities with safety objectives, ensuring that cost reductions do not compromise safety standards. The framework focuses on the integration of financial planning with safety strategies, enabling contractors to allocate resources efficiently while maintaining high safety performance. By employing risk-based budgeting and predictive analytics, the model allows contractors to identify areas where financial investments can yield the most significant safety benefits. Additionally, it encourages the adoption of safety technologies and training programs that offer long-term cost savings by reducing accidents and operational disruptions. Adeoye’s approach also highlights the importance of a safety culture in contractor operations, where financial decisions are made with a deep understanding of the potential safety implications. This culture fosters collaboration between financial managers and HSE teams, ensuring that both safety and cost-effectiveness are prioritized. The paper presents case studies that illustrate the successful implementation of this framework, showcasing improvements in safety outcomes and financial performance. These examples demonstrate how contractors can achieve a balance between minimizing costs and enhancing safety, leading to sustainable operations. The influence of financial literacy, herding and overconfidence on investment decision making among Indonesian Gen Z
No full textInvestment decisions geared towards securing long-term gains, are influenced by both rational and irrational attitudes in the allocation of capital. Financial literacy serves as a metric for evaluating the rational perspective, whereas behavioral finance examines the irrational inclinations, such as overconfidence and herding. This research was conducted with quantitative method with data collected by questionnaire shared among Indonesian people. This study scrutinizes how financial literacy, herding and overconfidence influencing those Indonesian gen z on investment decision. The results showed financial literacy and overconfidence has a positive influence on investment decision, meanwhile the herding is not significantly affecting Indonesia gen z’s investment decision.

In contrast, teachers perceive ABL as fostering deeper understanding, engagement, and critical thinking by providing hands-on, interactive learning experiences. However, ABL requires more planning, classroom management, and alternative assessment methods, presenting unique challenges for teachers. This review highlights teachers' insights into the strengths and limitations of each approach and emphasizes the need for a blended instructional model that balances traditional structure with the exploratory benefits of ABL. Recommendations are provided for improving instructional practices through professional development, enhanced classroom resources, and assessment strategies that reflect both procedural fluency and conceptual understanding. The findings underscore the importance of equipping teachers with the tools to implement a hybrid teaching model that meets diverse student needs, thereby promoting a more engaging and effective mathematics education.
