ADVANCING FOOD SAFETY THROUGH IOT: REAL-TIME MONITORING AND CONTROL SYSTEMS
This paper proposes the development of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based real-time monitoring and control system for food safety management. By leveraging IoT sensors and devices throughout the food production and distribution process, this system aims to continuously monitor food safety parameters, providing immediate data to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with safety standards. In response to the critical need for enhanced food safety measures, this concept paper proposes the implementation of IoT (Internet of Things) technology to advance food safety through real-time monitoring and control systems. The global food industry faces significant challenges in ensuring food safety throughout the supply chain, including inefficiencies, delays in response to potential hazards, and increased risks of contamination. Traditional methods of monitoring and controlling food safety often lack real-time capabilities and are prone to human error. The proposed solution focuses on introducing an IoT-based system for real-time monitoring of critical food safety parameters such as temperature, humidity, and the presence of pathogens. This system will leverage a combination of sensor technologies, data analytics, and communication protocols to continuously monitor environmental conditions and potential hazards throughout the food supply chain. Key components of the proposed system include IoT sensors and devices, a centralized monitoring platform, data transmission infrastructure, and integration with existing food safety management systems. Advanced data analytics techniques, including machine learning algorithms, will be employed to analyze collected data, identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, and develop predictive models to anticipate potential hazards. The implementation strategy outlined in this concept paper includes comprehensive assessment and planning, deployment of IoT sensors, establishment of data collection and transmission infrastructure, data analysis and insights, integration with existing systems, and training and capacity building. By following this strategy, stakeholders can proactively manage food safety risks and ensure the integrity and safety of the food supply chain. Advancing food safety through IoT-based real-time monitoring and control systems holds great promise in revolutionizing the way food safety is managed, safeguarding public health, enhancing consumer trust, and ensuring a safer and more reliable food supply for consumers worldwide.

Harnessing the human microbiome: Probiotic and prebiotic interventions to reduce hospital-acquired infections and enhance immunity
Hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) represent a significant burden on healthcare systems, leading to increased morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. Recent advancements in microbiome research have highlighted the potential of probiotic and prebiotic interventions to mitigate HAIs and bolster immunity. This review explores the role of the human microbiome in health and disease, focusing on the promising strategies of utilizing probiotics and prebiotics to reduce HAIs. Probiotics, comprising live beneficial bacteria, can restore and maintain a balanced gut microbiota, potentially outcompeting pathogenic organisms and enhancing host immune responses. Prebiotics, however, are non-digestible food ingredients that selectively stimulate the growth and activity of beneficial bacteria in the gut. The synergistic effects of probiotics and prebiotics, known as symbiotic, offer an even greater potential for clinical application. Numerous studies have demonstrated the efficacy of specific probiotic strains, such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium, in preventing infections and modulating immune functions. Furthermore, prebiotics like fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) and galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) have shown to enhance the growth of probiotic bacteria, thus providing a twofold protective mechanism. The integration of these interventions into clinical practice could revolutionize the prevention and management of HAIs, reducing the reliance on antibiotics and mitigating the risk of antimicrobial resistance. However, challenges such as strain-specific effects, dosage optimization, and individual variability need to be addressed through rigorous clinical trials. This review underscores the need for further research and clinical validation to harness the full potential of the human microbiome in combating HAIs and enhancing patient outcomes through probiotic and prebiotic interventions.

FINANCING MODELS FOR GLOBAL HEALTH INITIATIVES: LESSONS FROM MATERNAL AND GENDER EQUALITY PROGRAMS
Financing models play a pivotal role in sustaining and advancing global health initiatives, particularly those aimed at addressing maternal health and promoting gender equality. This review provides a comprehensive overview of financing strategies employed in such initiatives, drawing insights from successful programs and highlighting key lessons learned. Maternal health remains a critical area of concern worldwide, with millions of women facing risks during pregnancy and childbirth. Gender disparities exacerbate these challenges, further underscoring the importance of targeted interventions. Financing models for maternal health initiatives have evolved over the years, with a shift towards innovative approaches that prioritize sustainability and scalability. One prominent financing model is the use of public-private partnerships (PPPs), which leverage resources from both governmental and non-governmental entities. These partnerships facilitate greater efficiency in resource allocation and enable the mobilization of additional funding streams. Examples such as the Global Financing Facility (GFF) demonstrate how PPPs have catalyzed investments in maternal health, leading to tangible improvements in access to quality care. Furthermore, results-based financing (RBF) mechanisms have gained traction in incentivizing the achievement of specific health outcomes. Through performance-based incentives, RBF encourages healthcare providers to deliver high-quality services while ensuring accountability and transparency. Initiatives like the World Bank's RBF programs have shown promising results in enhancing maternal health outcomes and narrowing gender gaps in access to healthcare. Additionally, innovative financing mechanisms such as social impact bonds (SIBs) and development impact bonds (DIBs) offer new avenues for mobilizing private capital towards maternal and gender equality programs. By aligning financial returns with social impact goals, these instruments attract investors seeking both financial and social returns, thereby diversifying funding sources and promoting sustainability. Financing models for global health initiatives targeting maternal and gender equality programs are diverse and dynamic, reflecting the multifaceted nature of these challenges. Lessons learned from successful initiatives underscore the importance of collaboration, innovation, and adaptability in achieving sustainable progress towards maternal health and gender equality goals on a global scale.

Data analytics, with its ability to process vast amounts of information, plays a pivotal role in optimizing energy systems, enhancing decision-making, and enabling the integration of renewable energy sources. In the U.S., various sectors, including power generation, transportation, and industry, have leveraged data analytics to monitor energy usage, predict energy demand, and optimize energy storage and distribution. The review highlights the application of advanced analytics in real-time grid management, energy forecasting, and the optimization of energy supply chains. Internationally, countries like Germany, the UK, and China have adopted data-driven strategies to accelerate their energy transitions. These countries utilize predictive analytics, machine learning, and big data to integrate renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar, into national grids while ensuring grid stability. Furthermore, the review discusses the role of energy market platforms, digital twins, and smart meters in enabling data-driven decision-making and fostering energy efficiency across industries. Despite the promising potential of data analytics, challenges remain, including data privacy concerns, technological disparities, and the need for standardized frameworks across regions. The review offers policy recommendations to address these challenges, such as investing in data infrastructure, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and ensuring equitable access to analytics tools. By examining both U.S. and international strategies, this review provides valuable insights into the practical applications of data analytics in energy transition efforts. It concludes that embracing data-driven approaches is essential for achieving sustainable energy systems and meeting global climate goals.

These transactions, however, are complex and subject to an intricate web of regulatory frameworks across different jurisdictions. In the United States, tech companies engaging in cross-border M&A must navigate stringent oversight by agencies such as the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), which evaluates transactions for national security risks. Simultaneously, international regulatory frameworks, including the European Union's competition laws and emerging guidelines in regions such as Asia-Pacific, add further layers of scrutiny. Key challenges include compliance with diverse antitrust policies, navigating data privacy regulations, and addressing geopolitical tensions that may influence regulatory decisions. For tech companies, the stakes are particularly high, as the sensitive nature of intellectual property and data assets often triggers heightened scrutiny. Additionally, the rise of protectionist policies globally has led to increased barriers for cross-border M&A. This paper examines the regulatory landscape from a broader perspective, analysing trends in international M&A regulations, before narrowing down to specific challenges faced by tech companies in cross-border transactions. It highlights the strategies firms can employ to mitigate risks, such as conducting robust due diligence, engaging in pre-clearance consultations with regulators, and adopting transparent practices to address potential national security concerns. By providing insights into both U.S. and international regulatory frameworks, this study aims to guide tech companies in navigating the complexities of cross-border M&A and fostering successful global partnerships.

Factors affecting sustainable tourism development in Vietnam
With a rapid growth rate, in just a short time, the tourism industry has become a type of industry that attracts a lot of labor, contributes a high proportion to GDP, and has a great influence on the economy. To ensure sustainable tourism development, identifying influencing factors is an urgent matter today. Therefore, this article presents a number of factors affecting sustainable development in tourism activities from a personal research perspective. In Vietnam, tourism has long been of interest to the Government, creating favorable conditions for development, and considering it a key industry compared to other economic sectors of the country. From the important reality of the tourism industry, many localities across the country pay great attention to tourism development with the desire to generate large revenues from this field. However, strong tourism development in localities can lead to many consequences. Therefore, studying the relationship between factors to sustainable tourism development is necessary. The requirement for countries and economies around the world is to conduct research to be able to move towards sustainable tourism development, achieving efficiency in all three aspects: economy, society and resource and environmental protection. Therefore, sustainable tourism development is the right direction for the tourism industry in Vietnam as well as all countries in the world. The study "Factors Affecting Sustainable Tourism Development: Survey in Quang Ninh province" by Bui Thi Quyen, Nguyen Thi Mai Huong and Phuong Huu was published in the International Journal of Early Childhood Special Education Vol. 14, Iss. 1 (2022) to support the planning and development of sustainable tourism to provide high quality services, improve the competitiveness of destinations, and ensure simultaneous development of the environment and society in Quang Ninh. Currently, Vietnam is having many positive economic changes. Agriculture is considered the main economic sector, with the second largest export turnover in the world, but has not yet brought high income to the people; The industrial sector requires a large amount of scientific and technical investment capital and a long payback period; meanwhile, the tourism sector is considered a smokeless industry, does not require too much investment and has a quick return period, and is gradually becoming one of the important economic sectors of Vietnam. From there, propose some solutions to promote sustainable tourism development for localities.

The paper underscores the importance of harmonizing tax policies to balance fairness, innovation, and compliance while promoting investment in digital infrastructure and reducing the digital divide. Recommendations for policymakers emphasize the need for international collaboration, modernization of tax frameworks, and targeted incentives to drive digital transformation. By aligning tax policies with the dynamics of the digital economy, governments can create a resilient, equitable, and sustainable foundation for future growth.

For instance, engineers, marketers, and financial analysts working together can align goals, optimize workflows, and reduce redundancies. Such teams are particularly adept at rapid problem-solving, as their diverse expertise enables them to address challenges comprehensively. Additionally, implementing tools like project management software and data-sharing platforms enhances operational efficiency, ensuring timely and cost-effective technology delivery. On the innovation front, cross-functional teams provide fertile ground for ideation by fostering diversity of thought. When individuals from varied backgrounds collaborate, they are more likely to generate novel solutions, driving product development and technological advancements. This dynamic is further amplified by a culture of openness and mutual respect, where all team members feel empowered to contribute ideas. In technology management, this can result in the adoption of disruptive technologies and the exploration of new business models. However, these teams also face challenges such as conflict arising from differing perspectives, varying levels of expertise, and potential misalignment of objectives. Effective leadership and robust communication strategies are essential to overcoming these barriers and maintaining team cohesion. Ultimately, cross-functional teams are instrumental in advancing technology management. By leveraging their dynamics strategically, organizations can achieve enhanced efficiency, foster innovation, and maintain a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving technological landscape. A systematic review of strategies for enhancing pharmaceutical supply chain resilience in the U.S
This review aims to explore strategies for enhancing pharmaceutical supply chain resilience in the United States by addressing vulnerabilities exposed by recent global events, including the COVID-19 pandemic. The study identifies and analyzes eight key strategies: supplier diversification, increased inventory and safety stock, adoption of advanced technologies, improved forecasting and demand planning, vertical integration, reshoring and nearshoring, contingency planning and risk management, and collaboration and information sharing. Drawing on these strategies in the context of the United States, the review examines the advantages and potential challenges associated with them. The implementation of strategies such as supplier diversification and the adoption of advanced technologies shows positive effects, but these approaches require significant resources and face policy restrictions. This paper also analyzes the policy and industry implications of these strategies, emphasizing the need for collaboration between the government and industry. Various policy implications include the need to encourage supplier diversification, support for strategic stocking, and funding for technology implementation. For the industry, there is a need for operational adjustments such as redesigning supply chain networks with emphasis on enhancing risk management practices. Although implementing these strategies presents certain complexities, they hold great promise for improving the overall resilience of the US pharmaceutical supply systems and should be further explored in the future.

Key insights reveal the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in analyzing complex datasets and integrating multi-omics data and wearable health devices. However, challenges such as data privacy and security concerns, issues of standardization and interoperability, and barriers to implementation in clinical settings persist. The paper concludes with recommendations to enhance data protection measures, promote interoperability, provide training for healthcare providers, foster collaborative research, and advocate for supportive regulatory reforms. By addressing these challenges, stakeholders can unlock the full potential of health data analytics, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes in precision medicine.
