The impact of small scale fish farming on poverty reduction in South-East Zone of Nigeria
Over the years, successive administrations in Nigeria have embarked on numerous poverty reduction programmes aimed at reducing the poverty rate in Nigeria. These efforts have not yielded much result as poverty rate has continued to soar and pervade every geo-political zone in Nigeria. The poverty situation, coupled with the low uptake of fish farming technology in the south-east zone has prompted the need to examine the impact of small-scale fish farming on poverty reduction in the south-east zone of Nigeria. The dependent variable of the study is poverty reduction, which has household expenditure as its proxy. The independent variable is small-scale fish farming, proxy by income, employment, food security and consumption multiplier. Data collection was made through in-depth Interview (IDI) guide, while analysis was done using thematic analysis technique. A total of 40 participants, comprising of 30 fish-farm owners and 10 employees were selected purposively from the states of Anambra, Ebonyi and Imo for the interview. The study findings suggest that small-scale fish farmingin the study area impacts positively on poverty reduction, as increase in each of the independent variables tends to increase the dependent variable. The study recommended the establishment of fish farm settlements; granting of credit facilities to fish farmers; establishment of skill acquisition and training centers for farm employees; and improvement electricity supply and road network for lower energy cost and easy transportation of fish products.

Policy on green credit development in Vietnam
Globally, the trend of green credit growth has been developing for a long time through projects focusing on energy saving, renewable energy, and clean technology, aimed at achieving economic growth while protecting the environment. In Vietnam, recognizing the importance of green credit, in March 2015, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Directive No. 03/CT-NHNN to promote green credit growth and manage environmental and social risks in credit activities. Additionally, SBV issued the Action Plan of the Banking Industry to implement the National Strategy on Green Growth until 2020, which includes solutions such as: enhancing the capacity of the banking system in implementing green banking and credit; promoting the deployment of green banking and credit products, supporting enterprises in achieving green growth; and increasing awareness and dissemination of green banking and credit activities.

This paper presents a comprehensive study on the transformative potential of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms in enhancing fintech fraud detection mechanisms. By leveraging cutting-edge AI techniques including deep learning, machine learning, and natural language processing, this research aims to develop a robust fraud detection framework capable of identifying, analyzing, and preventing fraudulent transactions in real-time.
Our methodology encompasses the deployment of several AI algorithms on extensive datasets comprising genuine and fraudulent financial transactions. Through a comparative analysis, we identify the most effective algorithms in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Key findings reveal that deep learning models, particularly those employing neural networks, outperform traditional machine learning models in detecting complex and nuanced fraudulent activities. Furthermore, the integration of natural language processing enables the extraction and analysis of unstructured data, significantly enhancing the detection capabilities.

Impact of asset quality on financial health of commercial banks in Cambodia
This study aims to examine the impact of asset quality on the financial health of commercial banks in Cambodia. Using an explanatory approach with panel data analysis, the research analyzes annual data from 2017 to 2023 for 57 commercial banks, sourced from the National Bank of Cambodia. The analysis explores the effects of Non-Performing Loans (NPLs), Bank Size, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Interest Rates, Inflation Rate, and GDP Growth on Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE). Diagnostic tests for heteroskedasticity, serial correlation, multicollinearity, and model specification are employed to ensure the robustness of the results. The findings indicate that NPLs significantly negatively impact both ROA and ROE, while Bank Size positively influences ROE but does not significantly affect ROA. CAR has a negative impact on both profitability metrics, suggesting that higher capital ratios reduce profitability due to increased capital costs. Interest Rates and Inflation Rate also show significant negative effects on ROA and ROE, whereas GDP Growth positively impacts both measures. To enhance financial health and performance, Cambodian commercial banks should focus on improving credit risk management, optimizing CAR, developing strategies to manage interest rate and inflation risks, and leveraging economic growth. These measures will strengthen financial health, improve performance metrics, and contribute to a more stable banking sector in Cambodia.
