YouTube as a Supplementary Resource for Learning English Speaking and Conversation of Non-English Department Students
This study explores non-English department students' perceptions of the use of YouTube videos as supplementary resources in learning English speaking and conversation. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The analysis shows that non-English students generally find YouTube an engaging and effective tool for learning English. They appreciate its flexibility, accessibility, and the realistic learning experiences it offers. YouTube is particularly valued for improving understanding of English topics and conversations, providing cultural insights, and supporting pronunciation and intonation. It is seen as a personalized and enjoyable learning resource. YouTube is regarded as effective for vocabulary acquisition. Students believe it helps them learn new words, understand word usage in social contexts, and apply vocabulary in real-life conversations. The platform’s clear explanations and frequent phrase repetition improve retention and confidence. In speaking skills, YouTube has a significant impact. It enhances pronunciation, builds confidence, and helps students feel more comfortable speaking English, especially in casual situations. Students get benefits from exposure to various accents and conversation examples, which help improve fluency. However, students face several challenges using YouTube for learning, such as difficulty understanding accents or fast speech, poor video/audio quality, and trouble maintaining focus. There is also a challenge in selecting appropriate videos, and some students feel there is insufficient explanation of vocabulary or a lack of interactive speaking practice. Students suggest several improvements to make YouTube more effective as a learning tool, including the addition of subtitles, more videos on formal and professional conversations, and better video selection guidance. They recommend incorporating interactive quizzes, visuals, and more tailored conversation examples for different learning needs. Additionally, they suggest videos should focus on correcting pronunciation errors and include more exposure to diverse accents. Lastly, students call for guided speaking practice sessions to enhance learning. Overall, students highlight YouTube’s potential as an effective and flexible tool for English learning while offering suggestions to overcome its challenges and enhance its educational value

The research sample was taken using a random sampling technique. The number of samples was 50 students. The findings showed that there was a significant increase in the vocabulary mastery of eighth grade students taught using the extensive reading technique. The results showed that the average of the experimental group was 77.5 and was included in the good category. The average of students taught to read using extensive reading techniques is 77.5, the average of students taught to read without using extensive reading techniques is 66.66. This can be seen from the final results of the t-test analysis which states that the t-count value is greater than t-table (7.2564>2.010)
Clean and Healthy Living Behaviour Post-COVID-19: A Qualitative Study on FISIP USU Students
This study aims to analyze the clean and healthy living behaviour (PHBS) among students post-Covid-19 pandemic. The study employs a qualitative method with in-depth interviews to explore behavioural changes in maintaining hygiene and health after Covid-19 is no longer considered a pandemic. The results indicate that awareness and practice of PHBS among students have declined following the end of the pandemic. Factors contributing to this decline include habits, personal reasons, and social environment. The study suggests the need for more intensive health campaigns to promote PHBS among the younger generation to prevent the spread of other infectious diseases in the future

A review of the enzymes utilization in the feed for indigenous Indonesian fish : enzymes utilization in the feed for indigenous Indonesian fish
Enzymes play a vital role in improving nutrient absorption and digestion efficiency in fish feed, particularly for indigenous Indonesian fish species. This review aimed to comprehensively evaluate the current state of enzyme utilization in feed for native Indonesian fish, highlighting its benefits, challenges, and potential contributions to the advancement of sustainable aquaculture. It examined the role of endogenous enzymes and various exogenous enzymes, such as protease, lipase, phytase, Non-Starch Polysaccharides (NSP) enzymes, and multi-carbohydrase complexes, in enhancing feed efficiency and fish growth. The integration of these enzymes into feed formulations offers significant advantages in boosting growth performance, optimizing feed conversion efficiency, and promoting environmental sustainability. Additionally, this review discussed the potential benefits and challenges associated with enzyme application in fish feed. Looking ahead, the development of enzyme utilization in aquafeed holds great promise for enhancing the sustainability, efficiency, and productivity of the aquaculture sector. This review provides valuable insights into the potential of enzyme supplementation to maximize feed utilization for native Indonesian fish species, outlining both its advantages and challenges, while also exploring its future prospects in driving cost-effective and eco-friendly aquaculture practices
The Connection Between the Crime of Trading in Influence and Gratification in Corruption
Corruption poses a persistent threat to the foundations of good governance and public integrity. One of the common modes used in corruption practices is trading in influence and gratification. Trading in influence occurs when a person leverages their influence over a public official to obtain certain benefits; unlike bribery, the object of trading in influence is influence itself, not direct authority. Meanwhile, gratification encompasses all forms of gifts or benefits that may affect the independence of officials in making decisions. Both practices have the potential to undermine bureaucratic systems and diminish public trust in the government. This study aims to analyze the correlation between trading in influence and gratification as forms of corruption, as well as to review their impact and implications on the legal and governmental system. The research method used is a normative juridical approach, analyzing relevant legislation and case studies of corruption incidents involving these two practices. The results show that trading in influence and gratification often serve as the entry points for more severe corruption practices. In this context, Article 18 of the UNCAC provides an important conceptual basis for the development of national legal norms to specifically define and address trading in influence. Therefore, there is a need for stronger regulations and more effective law enforcement to prevent and combat these practice
A Decision-Support Model for Football Squad Optimization: Integrating AHP-WASPAS and Binary Programming
Team composition in professional football remains a critical challenge due to subjective biases and the complexity of player performance metrics. This study proposes a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach to optimize the starting lineup of PSIS Semarang. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to determine the importance of positional attributes, followed by the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) to evaluate individual player preferences. A binary integer programming model was developed to construct the optimal eleven-player formation. The proposed formation was validated through simulation in Football Manager 2023. Results showed that a 4-3-3 formation consistently outperformed alternatives, leading to first-place rankings and a President’s Cup win in simulation trials. This integrated decision-support model demonstrates effectiveness in enhancing team selection strategies in professional football
