Borassus flabellifer Effectively Reduces MDA Levels in High Oxidative Stress Population in Jakarta, Indonesia
Background: Malondialdehyde (MDA) is commonly used to assess oxidative stress levels. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of Borassus flabellifer fruit consumption on MDA levels in individuals with high oxidative stress, providing insights into the fruit’s potential as a natural antioxidant therapy. Methods: A prospective interventional study was conducted in Jakarta, recruiting fifty participants aged 30–60 years with baseline MDA levels >10 nmol/L. Participants consumed 150 grams of Borassus flabellifer fruit daily for 30 days. Blood samples were collected at baseline and post-intervention to assess MDA levels. Results: The average MDA level decreased significantly from 14.35 ± 2.43 nmol/L to 12.00 ± 1.74 nmol/L after 30 days of fruit consumption (p < 0.0001). The Cohen’s d value of 2.92 indicated a large effect size, demonstrating the intervention’s substantial impact. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.91, p < 0.0001) between baseline MDA levels and reduction was observed, suggesting that participants with higher baseline oxidative stress benefited more from the intervention. Conclusion: Borassus flabellifer fruit consumption effectively reduces MDA levels in individuals with high oxidative stress. The results support the inclusion of this fruit in recommendations for managing oxidative stress-related conditions
Microcontroller-Based Model Design of Automatic Center of Gravity and Ballast Measurements for MK Bomb Series
The determination of center of gravity (CG) of Mark 80 series bomb is crucial before being released from fighter-aircraft to reduce or eliminate bomb-pitching; thus, improving target accuracy. Current CG measurement in the service remains conventional, takes a long time, so the determination of ballast is guesswork, and the equipment used is not integrated. Therefore, this study aims to design a model of a microcontroller-based CG and ballast measuring instrument. This tool model uses two load cell sensors (as scales) to measure the weight of the bomb and two ultrasonic sensors to measure the distance between scales. The interface is LCD as digital output, keypad as ballast control and Arduino mega. The experimental method in this study employed test objects in the form of miniature MK 81 bombs and bomb-like test objects with known CG. A total of 6 types of tests obtained a tool accuracy rate of 99.2% with an accuracy of 2 mm. Given the efficiency and accuracy of the measurement, this model of CG and ballast measuring instrument can be a smart solution for military agencies to be used as an effective CG measuring tool for MK 80 bombs
Biogas user perceptions of biogas development in Urutsewu Village, Ampel District, Boyolali Regency
Biogas is an innovation that is already known among livestock farmers. Urutsewu Village uses biogas in an effort to meet energy needs derived from cow dung, chicken dung, tofu liquid waste, and kitchen waste. The purpose of this study was to analyze the perceptions of biogas users towards the installation, economic impact, environmental impact, and social impact of biogas installation in Urutsewu Village. This research was a descriptive research with data collection conducted through direct interviews with biogas users. The source of information data was obtained from 48 respondents consisting of households that own biogas digesters and households that use non-owners of biogas digesters. The results of the study showed that 67% of biogas users knew about biogas before using it and 33% after using biogas. Respondents tended to say that biogas technology is easy to implement, easy and simple maintenance. The perception of biogas users regarding environmental impacts is that biogas technology can reduce pollution, reduce sources of disease and improve environmental quality. Biogas technology can relatively save fuel costs and is cheaper than other fuels but is not sufficient as cooking fuel. Optimization of Stunting Prevention in Communities in Bahliran Village Through the Application Peduli Stunting “Penting”
Stunting in children must receive attention. This condition can indicate that the child's nutrition is not adequately met. If left untreated, stunting can have long-term impacts on children. The increasingly rapid development of technology affects human life, one of which is the health aspect. This makes it easier to access and disseminate information. The use of technology must be used effectively and efficiently to improve public health. The presence of E-stunting is an implementation of the digitization of child nutrition recording and reporting—an application designed with various features that provide information about stunting. One of the features found in E-stunting is Food Recall. This research aims to solve health problems in Bahliran Village by empowering the community through the stunting care application (Important) to increase community awareness of stunting and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior. This research took eight months, with a research approach method that took three research stages, namely: a) Stage 1. This stage is the initial stage carried out in community empowerment. b) Stage II. In this second stage, there is a transformation of knowledge and skills. In this case, there is a need to learn about various knowledge and skills to support the empowerment activities. c) Stage III. Increased intellectual abilities and skill proficiency. In this activity, the people of Bahliran Village can take advantage of the "IMPORTANT (Stunting Care)" application, which is expected to reduce stunting rates and create a healthy and empowered community

MSMEs in Indonesia are the most important and strong pillars of economic development. Its role in driving the rate of economic growth and employment is huge. MSME MUA RiasaNeni is an MSME that operates in cosmetology services. The problems that occur with UMKM MUA RiasaNeni are the limited human resources of UMKM MUA RiasaNeni in creating interesting content on social media as promotional media, the limited supporting tools they have especially for the need to develop content, and the absence of financial bookkeeping that is used to record all financial transactions, for keeping records of all financial transactions precisely and systematically. Improvement of Research Proposal Writing Skills for PSDKU USU Lecturers in North Nias
The Tridharma of Higher Education mandates that higher education institutions conduct education, research, and community service (Article 1, Clause 9, Law No. 12 of 2012 on Higher Education). Research is a methodical endeavor that adheres to scientific principles and methodologies to collect information, facts, and explanations pertinent to the comprehension and/or examination of a field within science and technology. The USU Abdimas Team's community service is to consistently educate and support academics at PSDKU USU Nias Utara, hence addressing the research aspect of the Tridharma of Higher Education. The given materials are: (1). The resources seek to elucidate research concepts and offer guidance on building a well-structured proposal in accordance with scientific standards and research ethics. Two. The procedure for formulating a suitable proposal grounded in scientific principles and research ethics is addressed in the section. Three. Investigating local potential to be elevated as research topics, and (4). There are techniques for forging links in research initiatives. The aforementioned four materials are considered particularly advantageous for cultivating a research culture among academics at PSDKU USU Nias Utara. This commences with improving their expertise in research planning, hence facilitating the execution of the SDGs point 4 initiative, Quality Education. Quality Education is a fundamental component of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Post-pandemic Travel Decisions on Domestic Tourism Destinations for Young People
The tourism sector is one of the largest industrial sectors and drivers of the world economy that is vulnerable to disasters. The spread of covid-19 causes tourist destinations to rely heavily on the presence of domestic tourists, especially for safety and health reasons for the younger generation. This research aims to understand the travel decisions of the younger generation after the pandemic in domestic tourist destinations. This research is qualitative in nature with a case study approach. Researchers determined informants who are members of the Millennial Generation and Generation Z by conducting in-depth interviews and collecting secondary data through informants' personal social media. The research results are divided into three phases, namely the pre-travel phase, the phase during the trip, and the post-travel phase. The researcher concluded that after the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a change in the decision-making process of young people who were influenced by social media.
 
TATA KELOLA SISTEM INFORMASI DESA BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL (Studi Kasus Desa Kutarayat Kecamatan Naman Teran Kabupaten Karo Sumatera Utara)
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Tata Kelola Sistem Informasi Desa Berbasis Kearifan Lokal di Desa Kutarayat. Permasalahan yang dihadapi Desa Kutarayat adalah tidak tersedianya data kearifan lokal dalam sistem informasi desa yang dilihat dari beberapa komentar masyarakat desa Kutarayat yang terdapat pada sistem informasi desa Kutarayat, khususnya data mengenai lembaga masarakat seperti lembaga pertanian dan karang taruna. Kedua lembaga ini memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan dan budaya yang merupakan kearifan lokal pada desa Kutarayat.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, data sekunder, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Selanjutnya penelitian ini menggunakan teori sistem informasi manajemen menurut DeLone dan McLean yang indikatornya berupa kualitas informasi dan kepuasan pengguna sistem, informan penelitian ini terdiri dari kepala desa, sekretaris desa, operator sistem informasi desa kutarayat, ketua lembaga masyarakat desa kutarayat, serta beberapa masyarakat desa kutarayat.
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tata kelola sistem informasi desa berbasis kearifan lokal di desa kutarayat masih belum sepenuhnya berjalan dengan baik, hal ini diukur berdasarkan indikator yang diambil yaitu kualitas informasi dan kepuasaan pengguna sistem, dimana pemerintah belum mampu mengelola kualitas informasi melalui kesediaan data kearifan lokal pada sistem informasi desa dan kepuasan pengguna system yang dilatar belakangi oleh sumber daya manusia pada pemerintahan desa yang kurang memadai dan kurang memahami sistem informasi desa, sehingga tata kelola data kearifan lokal desa kutarayat belum mempu beradaptasi dengan kemajuan teknologi seperti sistem informasi desa
Efektivitas Layanan Taspen One Hour Online Service (TOOS) Dalam Memberikan Kemudahan Layanan Tabungan Hari Tua (THT) Dan Pensiun Pertama Bagi Pegawai Negeri Sipil Di Pt Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Utama Medan
Taspen One Hour Online Service (TOOS) merupakan layanan satu pintu Taspen yang dapat di akses melalui website pada laman https://tos.taspen.co.id/ yang dapat melakukan pengajuan klaim online, maupun pengajuan non klaim, pengurusan kartu digital kepesertaan, melacak pengajuan online, pemantau status otentikasi, mengambil antian online Mal pelayanan publik, melakukan penghitungan manfaat THT dan pensiun, juga untuk menyampaikan kritik dan saran, memuat informasi dana pensiun bulanan untuk pensiunan. Selain itu, peserta dapat mendapatkan informasi pensiun pokok, mendapat informasi mengenai E-SPT Pajak untuk pensiunan dan melakukan survei kebutuhan peserta untuk peningkatan layanan Taspen Grup. Namun proses penggunaan layanan Taspen One Hour Online Service (TOOS) oleh sebagian peserta, mengalami beberapa kendala yang menyebabkan pengerjaan proses klaim dana Tabungan Hari Tua (THT) dan Pensiun Pertama terlambat, selain itu masih kurangnya pemahaman soal teknologi bagi para lansia, sehingga mengalami kesulitan dalam menggunakan layanan TOOS tersebut yang akhirnya menghambat proses dan mengakibatkan keefektivan program kurang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yang didukung dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui proses wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori efektivitas pelayanan yang dikemukakan oleh Sudrajat, meliputi prosedur pelayanan, waktu penyelesaian, biaya penyelesaian, sarana dan prasarana yang memadai,dan juga produk pelayanan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas Layanan TOOS pada PT Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Utama Medan dari segi prosedur pelayanan yang dilakukan di PT Taspen (Persero) KCU Medan menggunakan layanan TOOS berjalan cukup efektif, dan prosedur pelaksanaan pelayanan telah sesuai dengan SOP yang ada, dengan informasi yang cukup jelas dan transparan kepada masyarakat, namun waktu penyelesaian pelayanan secara online pada TOOS bagi beberapa Peserta atau nasabah masih dianggap belum efektif, karena pada layanan TOOS masih sering mengalami eror dan juga sistem down/loading yang menyebabkan nasabah beralih ke pengajuan klaim manual. Sehingga manfaat TOOS yang diklaim memberikan kemudahan dan keefektifan masih belum dirasakan secara menyeluruh oleh tiap peserta, akan tetapi waktu penyelesaian secara manual bisa dikatakan sangat efektif. Pengajuan klaim yang dilakukan pada TOOS tidak dipungut biaya apapun. Sarana dan prasarana pada pemberian layanan TOOS dianggap efektif karena disediakan wadah untuk bertanya dan juga memberiakan kritikan atau saran pada website
Pengaruh Akuntabilitas Dan Transparansi Terhadap Pelayanan Dana Bantuan Operasional Kesehatan Pada Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan
Fenomena yang berkembang menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan kesehatan yang didukung oleh dana Bantuan Operasional Kesehatan di Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam penerapan prinsip tata kelola yang baik. Prinsip akuntabilitas dan transparansi merupakan dua elemen penting dalam pengelolaan dana publik yang efektif. Kurangnya keterbukaan informasi dan pelaporan yang sesuai prosedur seringkali menjadi hambatan yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas pelayanan kesehatan yang diterima masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh akuntabilitas terhadap pelayanan dana Bantuan Operasional Kesehatan , pengaruh transparansi terhadap pelayanan dana Bantuan Operasional Kesehatan, serta pengaruh akuntabilitas dan transparansi secara simultan terhadap pelayanan dana Bantuan Operasional Kesehatan di Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode asosiatif, yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara variabel independen (akuntabilitas dan transparansi) dan variabel dependen (pelayanan dana Bantuan Operasional Kesehatan). Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 60 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data primer diperoleh melalui kuesioner, sementara data sekunder diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akuntabilitas memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pelayanan dana Bantuan Operasional Kesehatan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaporan yang tepat waktu, akurat, dan sesuai prosedur dapat meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pelayanan. Transparansi juga memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pelayanan dana Bantuan Operasional Kesehatan, di mana keterbukaan informasi dan aksesibilitas data mendukung kepercayaan terhadap institusi dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan. Secara simultan, akuntabilitas dan transparansi menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pelayanan dana Bantuan Operasional Kesehatan, dengan hubungan yang erat antara kedua variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi kepada Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan untuk meningkatkan akuntabilitas melalui pelaporan yang lebih rinci dan transparansi dengan menyediakan informasi yang mudah diakses oleh pihak terkait. Langkah ini diharapkan dapat mendukung implementasi tata kelola yang lebih baik dan meningkatkan kepercayaan publik terhadap pengelolaan dana publik
