Adsorpsi Ion Amonium dari Larutan Encer Menggunakan Zeolit Alam Sarulla Termodifikasi KCl
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of KCl-modified Sarulla natural zeolite in removing ammonium ions from aqueous solutions. The zeolite was modified by soaking in 0.5 M (ZA05) and 1.5 M (ZA15) KCl solutions for 24 hours at a solid/solvent ratio of 1:3 (weight/volume). The adsorption process was conducted in batch mode using an orbital shaker at a speed of 100 rpm, with contact times ranging from 0 to 210 minutes. The initial ammonium ion concentration was 100 mg/L, and the analysis was performed using a UV-visible spectrophotometer. The results showed that ZA05 and ZA15 adsorbents achieved ammonium ion removal efficiencies of 14.62% and 12.29%, respectively. Adsorption isotherm analysis using the Langmuir and Freundlich models demonstrated a good fit with the equilibrium data, with ZA15 exhibiting a higher maximum adsorption capacity than ZA05. This study confirms the potential of KCl-modified Sarulla natural zeolite as an effective adsorbent material for wastewater treatment

Application of Economic Production Quantity Method in Controlling the Production Level of Crude Palm Oil at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Medan City
PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV is a subsidiary of an Indonesian State-Owned Enterprise engaged in oil palm and tea plantations. Crude Palm Oil as a derivative product of palm oil is one of Indonesia's mainstay export commodities. Inventory control at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV is a complicated matter. Therefore, one method that can be used to control raw materials is the EPQ (Economic Production Quantity) method where the EPQ method can determine the optimum production level, optimum production frequency, optimum cycle time to minimize inventory costs. By using the EPQ method, the optimum production level of Crude Palm Oil is 30,745,207,190 kg with the optimum time interval of 20 days in each production cycle and the company can save production costs of 3.94% for each production cycle
Common Property and Social Capital Governance in the Context of the Cibulao Coffee Forest Farmers Group in Tugu Utara Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency
This study aims to analyze the governance of common property and strengthening social capital in the Cibulao Coffee Forest Farmer Group (KTH) in Tugu Utara Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency. Using a qualitative approach with case studies, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document studies. The results show that the synergy between collective ownership of forest resources and social capital based on trust, norms, and social networks creates a hybrid institution that supports sustainable forest management and community economic empowerment. However, this success is still limited to the micro scale and faces the risk of institutional exclusion if it is not integrated into the local political system in a participatory and strategic manner. David Easton's model and endogenous growth theory are used to map the challenges and opportunities for the long-term sustainability of the Cibulao Coffee KTH
The Influence of Cigarette Advertising on Teenagers' Attitudes Toward Cigarette Purchasing Decisions
This study aims to analyze the influence of cigarette advertising on adolescents' attitudes toward cigarette purchasing decisions and the role of the media in supporting the cigarette industry. Cigarettes have become a serious issue in global health due to their addictive substances that have a detrimental impact on health. Cigarette advertising, particularly through television and social media, is considered to greatly influence adolescents' perceptions of cigarettes as symbols of “coolness” and masculinity. This study employs a qualitative approach through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and online media observation. The research findings indicate that most adolescents are unaware of the connection between advertising and their decision to purchase cigarettes; however, advertising still exerts an indirect influence on the formation of adolescents' opinions and attitudes. The study also found that weak government regulations and the widespread presence of cigarette advertisements exacerbate this situation. Therefore, strict oversight of advertisements and cigarette distribution, particularly those targeting teenagers, is crucial in efforts to control cigarette consumption in Indonesia

Holy basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum, L.) is one of the aromatic herbs that grows in empty or abandoned areas. Previous studies used conventional methods, including maceration and hydrodistillation, to extract Ocimum tenuiflorum, L. Genetic variation, plant phenology, geographical conditions, and extraction techniques affect the yield and variability of essential oil phytochemical composition. Here in, we report essential oil extraction of Ocimum tenuiflorum green and purple using solvent-free microwave extraction. The yield calculation obtained from purple and green O. tenuiflorum essential oils was 2.25 and 2.17%, respectively. GCMS data shows that the phytochemical compounds in Ocimum tenuiflorum essential oils, purple and green leaves, are dominated by sesquiterpene and phenylpropene groups. In the essential oil of purple Ocimum tenuiflorum leaves, the major phytochemical compound components are methyl eugenol, β-Caryophyllene, and Germacrene-D. Antibacterial activity showed that Ocimum tenuiflorum purple essential oils a more preeminent effect against Escherichia coli than green
