Get PDFThe purpose of this essay is to illustrate the hypothesis for the structure of the entries for the portal ALON (Archive of the Lexicography of the Nineteenth-Twentieth Century – PRIN 2022), which is designed to collect information and data related to lexicographic works produced and published between the Nineteenth and Twentieth centuries. Each part of the entries is described here in detail, with the aim of verifying a specific set of methods and criteria to treat the various vocabularies catalogued and illustrating the problems that have emerged, concerning in particular lexicographic works with many editions and remakes. In this regard, the encyclopedic and scholastic dictionary of Giovanni Battista Melzi, whose complex publishing history brought out critical issues, was chosen as testbed for testing the structure of the ALON entries

Lordosis-kyphosis in Argyrosomus regius asso, 1801 obtained from Tripoli, Libya
Get PDFOn November 28, 2023, one specimen measuring 344 mm total length and weight 650 g of the atherinid fish Argyrosomus regius displays a continuous incidence of lordosis-kyphosis was obtained from a local fish market in Tripoli, Libya. Externally, the specimen showed one major hunch just behind the head and under the spinous part of the first dorsal fin and another smaller laterally slightly extended hump in the caudal region under the soft part of the dorsal fin. The X-ray examination showed that both the abdominal and the caudal vertebral regions were affected by this anomaly. To describe the case of abnormality, the length of the vertebral column from the anterior end of the first vertebra to the posterior end of the last vertebra was divided by fish total length to make a ratio that was incorporated to compare the abnormal with the normal fish. The values for the nine angles lay between the lines passing through the sides of the vertebral column was obtained. Also, the ratio of the vertebral column to the fish total length of deformed and normal specimens of this species was calculated. Possible causes for these anomalies are considered

Le esperienze maturate negli atenei italiani, con un focus sull'Università di Trento, dimostrano che, nonostante le innegabili difficoltà, è possibile garantire agli studenti in fuga dai propri paesi di origine l'accesso alla formazione superiore e la conseguente realizzazione di progetti di vita preziosi per l'intera società.EnThe right to education represents a fundamental right of a universal nature that states are called upon to guarantee not only to their own citizens, but also to people who, such as asylum seekers and holders of international protection, reside on their territory. The experiences gained in Italian universities, with a focus on the University of Trento, demonstrate that, despite the undeniable difficulties, it is possible to guarantee students fleeing from their countries of origin access to higher education and the consequent realization of life plans valuable for the whole society

Get PDFMain theme of the epistle written by Enea Silvio Piccolomini to his Milanese friend Ippolito Porro in 1446 is the hominis conditio, which runs through Piccolomini's entire production in various ways as evidence of the constant restlessness of his soul and the deep desire to anchor himself to absolute values. Commonly known by the title De remedio amoris, this epistle is in fact a small treatise in which the particular occasion - the request for a cure to combat the disease of love - suggests to the humanist a broader reflection on a theme dear to the treatises of the time, that of the uncertainty and fragility of the human condition, and thus highlights the cultural, literary and ethical interests of Piccolomini himself. The text is analysed through the filter of the Ovidian source, the Remedia amoris, an expression of the elegiac system with an erotic theme
