Get PDFEnThe article explores the different phases of calibrated research on Romanization, highlighting the crucial moments and sometimes controversial turns related to one of the most solid and influential theoretical approaches and historiographical assumptions pertinent to the reconstruction of the Roman world. Deeply connected to the historical contexts in which it was formulated, applied, and reinterpreted, Romanization is proposed as an important and interconnected field of confrontation between the interpretation of historical sources, the examination of archaeological contexts, and the contribution of material culture. This study is structured in two parts: the first, edited by C. S. Fioriello, outlines, discusses and deepens the very intense and certainly problematic turn of the most significant theoretical and methodological reflections invalidated; the second part, edited by A. Merola, focuses on the historicity of these theories and the prospects of their fruitful reinterpretation in terms of positive critical development.ItL'articolo contribuisce a esplorare il percorso epistemologico che ha accompagnato le fasi della ricerca calibrata sul tema della romanizzazione, evidenziando i momenti cruciali e i tornanti talora controversi legati a uno degli approcci conoscitivi e assunti storiografici più solidi e influenti pertinenti la ricostruzione e la interpretazione del mondo romano. Profondamente connesso ai contesti socio-culturali in cui è stato scolpito, formulato, impiegato e ripensato, il prisma euristico e diagnostico della romanizzazione si propone quale tetragono e interconnesso campo di confronto tra la comprensione delle fonti storiche, la disamina dei contesti archeologici, l'apporto della cultura materiale. Il contributo è pertanto strutturato in due parti: la prima, redatta da C. S. Fioriello, delinea, discute e approfondisce il volgere assai intenso e di certo problematico delle riflessioni teoriche e metodologiche più significative invalse; la seconda, curata da A. Merola, si concentra sulla storicità di questi sistemi concettuali e sulle prospettive della loro proficua rilettura e chiara applicazione in chiave di positivo sviluppo critico
Redefining the setting of intervention in combating violence against women: The voice of professionals in emergencies
Get PDFGender-based violence (GBV) is a worldwide phenomenon, comparable to global epidemics and pandemics. The most widespread form of violence is domestic violence (DV). During the COVID-19 pandemic, DV increased because the former reinforced the underlying risk factors. The most appropriate model to address GBV is the ecological model, which allows addressing individual, relational, collective, and organisational levels of analysis and their interaction. Aim of the study was to identify organizational dimensions to improve the effectiveness of services against GBV in emergencies. To this end, ten professionals from gender-based anti-violence services who served during the lock-out were interviewed. The interviews were conducted and analysed through Thematic Analysis Methodology. Results show that during the pandemic many difficulties arose in the organisation of interventions and settings, and new potentials emerged too, especially in remote work, which offered new possibilities to reorganise the services work. Henry Jones and the Idea of a League of Learning
Get PDFItHenry Jones, considerato una figura marginale all'interno del movimento dell'idealismo britannico, il cui pensiero è spesso associato a una forma di hegelismo radicale, offre numerosi spunti di riflessione innovativi nei riguardi di una molteplicità di tematiche, prime fra tutte quella che concerne il suo progetto di creazione di una League of Learning da affiancare alla ben più nota League of Nations. Questo progetto, sebbene non verrà mai realizzato, rappresenta un unicum nella storia del pensiero politico, così partito laburista britannico e dello stato della democrazia nel periodo delle due guerre mondiali.EnHenry Jones, considered a marginal figure within the British idealism movement, whose thought is often associated with a form of radical Hegelianism, offers numerous innovative points of reflection regarding a multitude of issues, foremost among them being his project to create a League of Learning to accompany the much better-known League of Nations. This project, although it will never be realized, represents a unique aspect in the history of political thought, just as Jones's reflections towards the actions of the British Labour Party and the state of democracy during the period of the two World Wars

Nel primo (I) egli difende le forme di congiuntivo ἔχῃσι e ἐγείρῃσι che ricorrono nel fr. 303 Page-Davies. Nel secondo (II) egli cerca di trovare nei frr. 312 e 330 Page-Davies una accezione metaforica nell'ambito del linguaggio marittimo applicato a situazioni politiche. Nel terzo (III) egli ravvisa nel nome Πολυκράτης, che ricorre nel testo da Imerio, un gioco di parole etimologico (Πολυκράτης = ὁ πολὺ κράτος ἔχων).EnIn this paper the Autor collects some contributions about Ibycus and his poetic activity. In the first (I) he supports the forms of subjunctive ἔχῃσι ed ἐγείρῃσι that are in the fr. 303 Page-Davies. In the second (II) he tries to find in the frr. 312 and 330 Page-Davies, a metaphorical meaning inside the maritime language applied to political situations. In the third (III) he identifies in the name Πολυκράτης, that appears in the text of Himerius, an etymological pun (Πολυκράτης = ὁ πολὺ κράτος ἔχων)
