Development of a Learning Enrichment Material in Morphology: A Focus on Morphemes and Inflections
Morphological awareness comprises primarily knowledge about the pairing of sound and meaning in a language and the word formation rules that guide the possible combination of morphemes. If knowledge of word form and meaning are important to vocabulary acquisition, then it seems logical that those who are more gifted with regard to morphological awareness are better equipped to grow their vocabulary. This study aimed to develop a learning enrichment material in morphology to college students. Specifically, it sought to focus on morphemes and inflections as the 93 Education English major students were already grammatically competent on the use of derivational and inflectional morphemes with reference to the findings of the studies entitled “On Derivational Morphemes: Grammatical Competence of College Students” and On Inflectional Morphemes: Grammatical Competence of College Students” respectively. The descriptive survey method was utilized as the research described and attempted to interpret the overall level of grammatical competence on derivational and inflectional morphemes of Education English major students. Survey and written test questionnaires were used as instruments of this study on which findings revealed that majority of the college students were found to have high grammatical competence on derivational and inflectional morphemes. For this reason, development of a learning enrichment material focused on morphemes and inflections was deemed imperative

The Belt and Road Initiative: Debt Trap and its Implication on International Security
One concern that has been raised against China’s infrastructure financing foreign policy – the Belt and Road Initiative – which entails lending to sovereign, mostly developing countries is debt trap. This paper draws inspiration from China’s policy response towards a defaulter country – Sri Lanka – to look at the implication of this concern from an international security perspective with two cases: Djibouti and Pakistan. It argues that, an event of default and China’s policy response of debt-for-equity swap would lead to a direct involvement on others domestic politics which would prompt various levels of civil, regional and international conflicts
Factors affecting Malnutrition among Under Five Children in a Remote Community: A Case of Cabucgayan Municipality
Proper nutrition for children is every parent’s priority. In most continents, malnutrition comes in two guises such as under nutrition and over nutrition. In line with this, the researcher sought to identify the possible factors affecting malnutrition among the under-five children. The study was conducted in a remote community specifically in the Municipality of Cabucgayan, Biliran among the Top 3 barangays with the highest number of malnourished children. The data were gathered using the survey research design. Result shows that majority of the malnourished children were preschoolers, male children of Roman Catholic families, with 4-5 number of siblings, underweight and with family monthly income of 600Php-1000Php. Mostly usually ate rice, fish and junk foods except vegetables and the water used for drinking is untreated. Furthermore, the malnourished children had 8-12 number of hours of sleep per day, napped 3-4 hours a day and were not able to avail the scheduled immunizations and deworming. Moreover, environmental factors such as the source of drinking water is not safe and proper disposal of garbage is not observed by the households. The results of the study highlight the need to conduct information dissemination campaign on how to decrease the prevalence of malnutrition in remote communities.

Relationship of Perceived Behavioral Control and Adoption of Internet Banking in the Presence of a Moderator
Internet banking is most remarkable in consumer banking segment alongside the fast-paced financial innovations. In practical scenario, internet banking is a contextual phenomenon. Hence, this research endeavored to determine the association of adoption and perceived behavioral control (PBC) variables on adoption of internet banking in the context of Sri Lankan commercial banks. Sample was drawn from the customers of three of the leading private banks. Accounts opening officials were selected as enumerators and data collected through self-administered questionnaires. Initially 450 research questionnaires were disseminated and only 307 were considered for the final data analysis. Principal factors of PBC were identified by conducting principal component analysis. TAM was extended using the PBC and constructs of the variables were measured by five-point Lickert scale. Hypothesis testing was conducted by correlation analysis afterwards, multiple regression analysis using hierarchical method along with diagnosis tests for outliers, residuals, influential cases performed while supplementary statistical tests namely, trend analysis and contrast test of ANOVA, ANCOVA and Hayes’s process for moderation analysis were simultaneously used for further analysis. Empirical evidences supported two hypotheses indicating the positive relationships of PBC and adoption, towards internet banking acceptance. Additionally, it was exposed that there are significant differences between demographic variables. Third hypothesis based on the presence of differences in adoption of internet banking between low income category customers as against higher income categories was also supported accordingly. Subsequently, ANCOVA test identified that the covariate; age was not significantly related to the respondents’ internet banking acceptance whilst the moderation analysis has confirmed relationship between PBC and internet banking adoption is being moderated by the age of the respondent. As a final note, researchers have forwarded several suggestions for internet banking service providers and system developers towards developing marketing strategies to enhance the adoption of internet banking
