Development of a Learning Enrichment Material in Morphology: A Focus on Word Formation Processes
There has been abundant research on vocabulary learning, but the bottom line is that in order for a word to be learned incidentally or intentionally, a learner must attain access to the word’s form and meaning. Language learning is a time-consuming and complicated process composed of many individual skills and processes. Among these processes is vocabulary acquisition, an essential step in reaching the status of fluent speaker. This study sought to develop a learning enrichment material in morphology to college students. Specifically, it was focused on word formation processes as the 93 Education English major students were already grammatically competent on the use of derivational and inflectional morphemes with relative to the findings of the studies entitled “On Derivational Morphemes: Grammatical Competence of College Students” and On Inflectional Morphemes: Grammatical Competence of College Students” respectively. The descriptive survey method was utilized as the research described and attempted to interpret how the overall level of grammatical competence on derivational and inflectional morphemes of Education English major students differ when categorized in terms of demographic characteristics. Survey and written test questionnaires were utilized as instruments of this study on which findings showed that most of the college students were found to have high grammatical competence on derivational and inflectional morphemes. Philippine Biology Education for a Curricular Innovation towards Industrial Revolution 4.0: A Mixed Method
No curriculum exists in isolation, i.e. each curriculum is designed to be an input to another output. The interplay of curricula in the trifocal system of education in the Philippines only becomes ideal when alignment is checked at crucial checkpoints including the most recent checkpoint – the implementation of the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum. One field that changed is Science Education. This study, an excerpt, aimed to innovate on the Senior HS Biology curricula by integrating Industrial Revolution 4.0 Skills to help prepare them to college course, especially in Fishery Education. Using mixed-method approaches, the study found evidence that Fishery Education students consider the Senior HS Biology curricula topics as ‘Useful’ in their Program courses and are mostly under Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics, Evolution and Biodiversity, and that, 2 years after their K to 12 graduation, they consider themselves to still ‘have knowledge’ on these Biology topics. Further, content analysis assessment of experts showed that, aside from these topics, Cytology and Cytogenetics and a little of Taxonomy have been considered as preparatory for advanced higher Fishery Education. Furthermore, focus group discussion revealed that IR 4.0 skills could be integrated along the Senior HS Biology topics, and results reported that ‘cognitive flexibility’ as a skill is the most considered for topical integration. Recommendations include generating a framework to trace which Senior HS Biology topics are most and least needed in the Fishery Education checklist by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education to conduct deeper curriculum alignment assessment

The Urgency of Information Dissemination Regarding the Relationship between Airborne Transmission and COVID-19 inside Dental Health Facilities
A pandemic outbreak of COVID-19 was caused by the spread of SARS-CoV-2. Containment and isolation of the virus lead to the study on how this virus spread. One of the possible transmission routes is airborne transmission, where aerosol droplets are involved. Healthcare facilities that use aerosol-related procedures are at risk of having infection inside the facility. The dental health facility is one of the facilities that use aerosol producing equipment. The virus can be combined with an aerosol particle inside the dental health facility because of the high viral load of the fluids or specimens that host SARS-CoV-2. This is possible through dental procedures that transmit aerosol in the operating area. Aerosol particles can be subjected to inhalation by any person inside the dental health facility. A respirable aerosol particle is assumed to be less than 5 µm. Most of the aerosol particle inside the dental health facility is less than 5 µm. The presence of aerosol inside the dental health facility relates to the rapid transmission of the virus. The members of the community, who do not know the relationship between airborne transmission and COVID-19, is presumably in danger. Information regarding airborne transmission inside the dental health facility can be distributed to members of the community through various information dissemination methods. In this review article, we summarized how it is possible to have a COVID-19 infection inside the dental health facility. We also showed the importance of the urgency of information dissemination regarding airborne transmission and COVID-19
