    Deep Learning Design in Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren): Integration of Islamic Values, Digital Technology, and 21st-Century Competencies

    General Background: The rapid advancement of digital technology and artificial intelligence has created new opportunities for enhancing learning quality, including within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Specific Background: Pesantren, as traditional Islamic institutions, increasingly face the need to integrate modern pedagogical approaches while safeguarding Islamic values. Knowledge Gap: Although research on technology-based education is expanding, studies focusing on the integration of deep learning, Islamic values, and digital technology specifically in pesantren remain limited. Aims: This study aims to conceptualize a deep learning model that harmonizes Islamic teachings, digital tools, and 21st-century competencies to strengthen both academic and character formation in pesantren. Results: Through a literature review, the study identifies three core dimensions of an integrated learning design: Islamic values as the moral-spiritual foundation, digital technology and AI as pedagogical enhancers, and 21st-century skills as essential competencies for santri. Novelty: This study proposes a holistic framework that positions deep learning not only as a cognitive process but as a spiritually grounded, technology-supported educational paradigm unique to pesantren. Implications: Successful implementation requires cultural adaptation, improved digital infrastructure, and continuous teacher training to ensure ethical and effective technology use.     Waste Analysis in Warehouse Flow through the Lean Warehousing Approach: Analisis Pemborosan pada Aliran Pergudangan melalui Pedekatan Lean Warehousing

    General background: Efficient warehouse flow is essential for sustaining operational performance, yet many industrial warehouses still face substantial inefficiencies arising from non–value-added activities. Specific background: PT. XYZ’s raw material warehouse experiences systematic delays, administrative redundancies, and quality-control bottlenecks, reflected in high waiting time, frequent mismatches in material documentation, and 116 rejected materials in 2024. Knowledge gap: Despite the relevance of Lean Warehousing in reducing waste, limited studies examine its integrated application using VSM, PAM, VALSAT, and Fishbone analysis within cement-industry warehouses. Aims: This study aims to identify dominant sources of waste and develop targeted improvement strategies to streamline warehouse flow. Results: Current State Mapping revealed a total lead time of 422 minutes, with 79.4% of activities categorized as NVA and NNVA. The most critical wastes were waiting (18%), transportation (17%), and motion (16%). Implementing improvements—including digital verification, standardized routing, and process simplification—reduced lead time to 351 minutes, achieving a 16.8% efficiency gain. Novelty: This research integrates multi-tool Lean analysis to produce structured, evidence-based improvements tailored to raw-material warehouse operations. Implications: Findings demonstrate that Lean Warehousing substantially enhances warehouse reliability and can guide broader supply-chain optimization initiatives in similar manufacturing settings.     Role of Hyaluronic Acid in Dental Implant Surgery

    General background: Dental implants are the preferred standard for replacing missing teeth, and successful osseointegration is crucial for their long-term function. Specific background: Hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan in connective and epithelial tissues, has gained attention for its biological roles in wound healing, regeneration, and antimicrobial activity. Knowledge gap: Despite its known physiological properties, the comprehensive role of HA in enhancing osseointegration and post-surgical healing during dental implantation remains underexplored. Aims: This review investigates the role of HA in dental implant surgery, focusing on its biological mechanisms, physicochemical properties, and clinical applications in promoting bone integration and reducing post-operative complications. Results: Evidence shows that HA facilitates osteoblast adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation, enhances wound healing, and reduces bacterial colonization. When used alone or combined with bone grafts and collagen scaffolds, HA accelerates new bone formation and minimizes inflammation. Novelty: The review highlights HA’s multifaceted bioactivity, including viscoelasticity, bacteriostatic, and antioxidant properties, which collectively improve implant outcomes. Implications: HA demonstrates significant potential as an adjunct biomaterial in dental implantology, enhancing both hard and soft tissue regeneration and improving patient recovery and implant success rates.Highlight : Hyaluronic acid supports bone and soft tissue healing around dental implants by enhancing cell migration and attachment. It helps reduce inflammation, infection risk, and post-surgical discomfort during the implantation process.     Background: Hypertension increasingly appears among young adults, with lifestyle factors often shaping variations in blood pressure. Specific background: Medical students frequently experience academic demands, irregular routines, and stress, making them a relevant group for examining dietary patterns and psychological conditions connected to blood pressure. Knowledge gap: Limited studies have assessed diet and stress simultaneously in a homogeneous young adult cohort with similar academic pressures. Aims: This study explored diet and stress patterns linked to blood pressure categories in medical students. Results: Among 81 respondents, most reported good dietary habits and normal blood pressure, while stress ranged from normal to very severe. Statistical analysis showed no measurable connection between diet patterns and blood pressure, whereas stress levels corresponded to differences across blood pressure categories. Novelty: The study focuses on a single academic cohort with shared workloads, offering a clearer understanding of how stress aligns with blood pressure variations. Implications: These findings highlight the need for structured stress-management strategies in academic environments to support cardiovascular health among young adult students.     The Implementation of the Qur'an in the Concept of Ijtihad by Substitute Heirs

    General Background: Islamic inheritance law is fundamentally oriented toward justice and the protection of vulnerable family members, yet its practical application often raises challenges in contemporary contexts. Specific Background: In Indonesia, grandchildren whose parents predeceased the testator are frequently excluded from inheritance despite close kinship ties, prompting the emergence of the substitute heir doctrine in Article 185 of the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI). Knowledge Gap: Although this doctrine is normatively applied, its Qur’anic foundation—particularly the interpretation of QS. an-Nisā’ (4):33—and its ijtihad construction remain contested, as classical jurists largely rejected the notion of heir substitution. Aims: This study aims to analyze the Qur’anic implementation in the concept of substitute heirs, examine Hazairin’s ijtihad, and assess its legal implications in Indonesian inheritance law. Results: The findings demonstrate that the substitute heir concept represents a synthesis of Qur’anic reinterpretation, customary law, civil law influences, and Hazairin’s bilateral inheritance theory, positioning mawālī as descendants of predeceased heirs. Novelty: The study highlights that this concept constitutes not merely social adaptation but a reconstructive Qur’anic ijtihad strengthening the protection of orphaned grandchildren. Implications: The research underscores the need for firmer and more consistent enforcement of substitute heir provisions to ensure justice and legal certainty in inheritance distribution in Indonesia.     General Background: Sports tourism has emerged as a rapidly expanding segment of the global tourism industry, driving economic growth, infrastructure development, and cultural exchange. Specific Background: In Uzbekistan, the historic regions of Samarkand and Bukhara possess substantial potential for sports tourism, yet this potential remains underutilized due to limited facilities, inadequate marketing, and a shortage of qualified personnel. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have rarely examined sports tourism development at a regional level in Central Asia, leaving limited empirical insights into strategies for integrating local infrastructure, management capacity, and international market positioning. Aims: This study aims to assess the current state of sports tourism in Samarkand and Bukhara, identify key challenges, and propose development strategies to enhance competitiveness. Results: Mixed-method analysis indicates significant growth in tourist interest and revenue, but reveals persistent constraints in modern sports infrastructure, digital marketing penetration, and professional skills among tourism operators. Novelty: The research provides one of the first strategic, evidence-based assessments linking sports tourism development with regional economic planning in these Uzbek regions. Implications: Strengthening infrastructure investment, targeted marketing, and specialized training programs can enhance regional competitiveness and position Samarkand and Bukhara as emerging destinations in the global sports tourism market.Highlight : Shows strong potential for expanding sports tourism in both regions. Knowledge Gap However, limited studies integrate ecoaesthetic theory with broader ecological culture, urban planning, and pedagogical practices in a unified analytical framework. Aims This study examines the philosophical foundations of ecoaesthetics and evaluates its role in shaping ecological consciousness, cultural attitudes, and sustainable social practices. Results Findings indicate that aesthetic perception of nature enhances moral responsibility, strengthens ecological culture, and fosters pro-environmental behaviour at both individual and societal levels, with notable influence on art, education, and urban design.     General Background: Islamic education in Indonesia is positioned as a fundamental aspect of national schooling, emphasizing moral formation aligned with the goals of the 2003 National Education System Law and Islamic values in daily life. Specific Background: SDIT Mukhlisiin Gowa applies an integrated Islamic learning system where Islamic Religious Education and Character teachers are assigned to cultivate students’ behavior through habituation, guidance, and supervision. Knowledge Gap: However, field observations show inconsistencies between the school’s Islamic vision and students’ actual behavior, including limited discipline in worship routines, weak responsibility, and emerging negative attitudes influenced by external environments. Aims: This study investigates the role of Islamic Religious Education and Character teachers in shaping the moral conduct of fifth-grade students and identifies supporting and inhibiting factors. Results: The findings reveal that teachers serve as moral exemplars, mentors, motivators, and supervisors through practices such as daily worship habituation, persuasive guidance, religious reinforcement, communication with parents, and creative pedagogical strategies. Internal support includes teacher role-modeling and an Islamic school environment, while external challenges arise from digital exposure, peer environments, and inconsistent family support. Novelty: This study highlights the integrative function of teacher-led moral cultivation as both instructional and cultural practice in an Islamic elementary context, where spiritual, behavioral, and social guidance operate simultaneously. Implications: The outcomes encourage strengthening religious program policies at school level, enhancing instructional creativity for teachers, reinforcing parental collaboration, and motivating students to participate actively in moral formation, contributing to sustainable Islamic character development in basic education.     Background: Employee performance remains a central concern in Islamic banking institutions operating in increasingly competitive service environments. Specific background: At PT Bank Riau Kepri Syariah Batam Branch, variations in employee competencies and internal organizational practices have raised questions regarding performance assessment outcomes. Knowledge gap: Existing studies tend to address human resources and organizational culture in general terms, with limited attention to concrete internal conditions such as educational mismatch, uneven technical skills, and reward practices in Islamic financial institutions. Aims: This study examines employee performance assessment by focusing on human resource quality and organizational culture within the institutional context. Results: Quantitative analysis using census data from 50 employees shows that human resource quality is prominently reflected in performance assessment results, while organizational culture does not demonstrate standalone statistical relevance, although both variables jointly account for a substantial proportion of performance variation. Novelty: The study emphasizes specific internal conditions that are often overlooked in prior research. Implications: The findings provide empirical insight for managerial evaluation of competency alignment and internal work systems to support sustainable employee performance assessment.     Analysis of the Implementation of Policies and Programs by the Situbondo Regency Government in Efforts to Reduce Early Marriage Rates

    General Background: Early marriage remains a persistent social problem in Indonesia, contributing to educational discontinuity, psychological vulnerability, health risks, and weakened family resilience. Specific Background: In Situbondo Regency, despite stricter legal frameworks and the implementation of multiple preventive programs by the local government, marriage dispensation cases remain relatively high, indicating implementation challenges. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have largely focused on the causes and impacts of early marriage, while limited attention has been given to in-depth analysis of how local government policies and programs are implemented and what factors shape their effectiveness. Aims: This study aims to analyze the implementation of early marriage prevention policies and programs by the Situbondo Regency Government and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors influencing their outcomes. Results: Using a qualitative empirical approach, the findings show that programs such as PERAK CINTA, BRUS, BINWIN, premarital health checks, psychological counseling, and cross-sector coordination have been implemented with clear objectives and structured mechanisms, yet their effectiveness is constrained by limited resources, uneven communication, strong cultural norms favoring early and unregistered marriages, and low community awareness. Novelty: This study integrates policy implementation analysis with local socio-cultural dynamics using the Van Meter and Van Horn framework in the context of early marriage prevention. Implications: Strengthening budget allocation, community education, and cross-sector synergy is essential to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of early marriage prevention policies at the local level. Highlights: Policy Execution: Early marriage prevention policies are implemented through structured, cross-sector programs with clear operational mechanisms.
