    Ethics and Benefits of Lasisma in Islamic Economics Perspective : Etika dan Manfaat Lasisma dalam Perspektif Ekonomi Islam

    General Background: Community-based financial services play a pivotal role in addressing financial exclusion and fostering equitable development, particularly in regions with limited access to conventional banking. Specific Background: Within the Islamic economics framework, Layanan Simpan Pinjam Jamaah (Lasisma) at BMT NU Genteng embodies ethical finance through the Qard Hasan contract—an interest-free loan aligned with Sharia principles. Knowledge Gap: However, empirical studies on the ethical dimensions and socio-economic outcomes of such models remain scarce. Aims: This study aims to examine the ethical practices, economic benefits, and community impacts of Lasisma in promoting financial inclusion and social justice. Results: Using interviews and document analysis, the research finds that Lasisma fosters transparency, fairness, and mutual benefit while enhancing community solidarity and empowering small businesses. Novelty: The study offers a unique insight into how a localized, faith-based financial initiative operationalizes Islamic economic values in practice, particularly through collateral-free, ethical financing. Implications: The findings contribute to the discourse on sustainable economic development by illustrating how community-rooted Islamic financial services can serve as viable alternatives to conventional microfinance, aligning with both ethical mandates and socio-economic empowerment goals.     Parental Knowledge and Awareness of Autism Symptoms and Management Strategies

    Background: Usually manifesting in early childhood, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that impacts social communication and behavior. Objectives: The present study aims to contribute to raising awareness about autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through my research on assessing parents’ knowledge and awareness of its symptoms and management strategies. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on a sample of 100 parents (both fathers and mothers) of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to assess their knowledge of ASD symptoms, management strategies, and awareness levels. The sample was collected from the My Family Center for Autism in Basrah city. The questionnaire was distributed to the parents and collected approximately one week later. The collected data were then analyzed statistically, yielding the following results. Results: It was found that 80% of the parents had a moderate to good level of knowledge regarding ASD management strategies, while 20% had poor knowledge. For ASD symptoms, 75% showed moderate to good awareness, and 25% had poor understanding. The ratio of correct to incorrect answers per parent was approximately 3:1 for both parts of the questionnaire. Conclusion: Most parents demonstrated acceptable knowledge about ASD management strategies, and also most showed sufficient awareness of its symptoms. However, the remaining parents with lower knowledge levels require targeted educational programs to improve their understanding and support for children with autism spectrum disorder. Highlights:  High parental awareness of ASD symptoms and management was observed. 75–80% of parents had moderate to good knowledge levels.     General background: MSMEs play a strategic role in driving economic growth and employment absorption in Indonesia. Specific background: However, many MSMEs still face difficulties in accessing formal financing due to high-interest rates and complex requirements, prompting the government to introduce the KUR Super Mikro program through Sharia-based institutions like Pegadaian Syariah. Knowledge gap: Despite its potential, studies analyzing the specific impact of this program on MSME turnover at the branch level remain limited. Aims: This study aims to analyze the impact of the KUR Super Mikro implementation on the turnover of MSMEs at Pegadaian Syariah CPS Ar Hakim. Results: Using a quantitative approach and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test on 78 respondents, the results showed a significant average turnover increase of 79.70% after receiving the financing. Business rotation also improved notably, and all respondents positively assessed the program. Novelty: This study contributes empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of Sharia-based microfinancing on MSME turnover in a specific Pegadaian branch, which has been rarely studied. Implications: The findings suggest that expanding the KUR Super Mikro program and integrating it with business mentoring is essential to enhance its long-term impact and support MSME sustainability.Highlight : MSME turnover increased by an average of 79.70% after receiving KUR Super Mikro. The speed of business turnover of MSMEs experienced a significant increase. All respondents stated that the program was very helpful for business development.     Analysis of the Multiple Drug Resistance (MDR) Pattern Among Uropathogenic Klebsiella Pneumoniae Isolates from Immunocompromised Patients

    Background: Multidrug-resistant (MDR) Klebsiella pneumoniae is a major causative agent of urinary tract infections (UTIs) and represents a growing therapeutic challenge, particularly in immunocompromised patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of MDR in K. pneumoniae isolates from immunocompromised patients with UTIs. Methods: Urine samples were collected from 597 immunocompromised patients with UTIs. K. pneumoniae was isolated and identified, and the isolates were subjected to susceptibility testing against 25 antibiotics. Results: Fifty-two (12.2%) K. pneumoniae isolates were isolated from 427 positive urine samples. The results showed a high prevalence of MDR (73.1%) with specific resistance patterns associated with certain antibiotic classes. The relationship between MDR and patient demographic and clinical variables was also analyzed, and statistically significant associations were found between the presence of the pattern and length of hospital stay (P=0.0238), prolonged infection duration (P=0.0026), use of indwelling urinary catheter (P= 0.0014), and history of antibiotic treatment (P = 0.0019). Conclusion: The prevalence of MDR K. pneumoniae was higher in immunocompromised patients, and its occurrence was associated with a longer length of stay, prolonged infection, catheter use, and a history of antibiotic treatment.  Highlights: 73.1% of K. pneumoniae isolates were multidrug-resistant. MDR linked to longer hospital stays, catheter use, and prior antibiotics. Serious concern for treating UTIs in vulnerable patients.     General Background: The online transportation industry is becoming increasingly competitive, necessitating a deeper understanding of factors that affect workforce sustainability. Specific Background: Within algorithm-driven gig platforms, driver-partners operate under flexible yet demanding conditions, influencing their performance and well-being. Knowledge Gap: Despite the growing literature on digital labor, limited research has examined how individual factors like competence, workload, and incentives impact job satisfaction and performance in such decentralized systems. Aims: This study investigates the effects of competence, workload, and incentives on job satisfaction and how these in turn influence the performance of driver-partners in an online food delivery platform. Results: Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS and data from 100 respondents, findings reveal that only workload significantly affects job satisfaction. Competence and incentives showed no significant relationship, nor did job satisfaction or the examined factors significantly impact performance. Novelty: The study challenges traditional assumptions by showing that in platform-based work environments, personal variables may not directly drive performance outcomes.Implications: These results suggest a shift in managerial focus—from individual optimization to systemic interventions—better suited for digital labor ecosystems governed by algorithms and flexible task structures. Highlights: Only workload significantly influences job satisfaction. Competence and incentives do not directly impact satisfaction or performance.     General Background: The rapid advancement of technology demands innovative approaches in education to equip students with essential STEM competencies. Specific Background: In Indonesia, high school learning of electrical engineering is still dominated by theoretical instruction with limited opportunities for hands-on practice, resulting in low engagement and inadequate technical skill development. Knowledge Gap: Few initiatives integrate real-world electrical engineering applications into secondary education through creative, project-based learning. Aim: This study reports on the implementation and evaluation of a creative learning outreach program conducted by Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta at SMA Negeri 66 Jakarta, designed to enhance students’ understanding of electrical technology. Results: The program engaged 72 students through three interactive modules: portable solar power storage, a mechatronic sumo robot, and IoT-based drowsiness detection glasses. Evaluation results showed a 28% increase in interest toward STEM careers, a 35% improvement in conceptual understanding, and positive perceptions of program delivery. Novelty: Unlike conventional lectures, this initiative combined project-based learning with real-world prototypes, directly linking theory with application and fostering creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Implications: These findings highlight the value of integrating interactive, technology-driven projects into secondary education, offering a scalable model for strengthening STEM literacy and preparing future engineers.Highlight : Hands-on modules (solar power, sumo robot, IoT glasses) increased student engagement.     General Background: Village infrastructure development is pivotal in enhancing community welfare and accelerating regional growth. Specific Background: In Indonesia, funding from Village Funds, Capital Expenditures, and Tax Revenue Sharing serves as a primary driver for such development. Knowledge Gap: However, limited empirical evidence exists on how these funding sources collectively influence infrastructure outcomes, particularly when mediated by retribution mechanisms. Aims: This study investigates the direct and indirect effects of Village Funds, Capital Expenditures, and Tax Revenue Sharing on infrastructure development in Gading District, with retribution as an intervening variable. Results: Using a quantitative approach through surveys and questionnaires in selected villages, the findings reveal that all three funding sources have a positive and significant impact on infrastructure development, while retribution strengthens these relationships. Novelty: This research integrates retribution as a mediating factor, providing a nuanced understanding of financial flows in village-level development. Implications: The study underscores the need for transparent, accountable fund management and enhanced community participation in tax and retribution payments, offering actionable recommendations for strengthening village financial capacity to achieve sustainable infrastructure and welfare improvements.     General Background: Improving learning quality remains a central goal in primary education. Specific Background: Fourth-grade students at SDN 205/II Bangun Harjo demonstrated low engagement and achievement in Indonesian language learning. Knowledge Gap: Limited research has explored the application of interactive learning models such as Inside Outside Circle in enhancing language learning at the elementary level. Aim: This study aims to describe the improvement in learning processes and outcomes using the Inside Outside Circle model. Methods: A Classroom Action Research design was implemented over two cycles, involving 24 students, using observation, tests, and documentation, with both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Results: Findings indicate a significant improvement in both process and outcomes: process scores increased from 58.3% in cycle I to 81.5% in cycle II, while learning outcome scores improved from 66.7% to 87.5%. Novelty: The study highlights the effectiveness of Inside Outside Circle as a cooperative strategy in fostering active learning and improving academic performance in language subjects. Implications: The model can be adopted as a pedagogical innovation to enhance student-centered learning in primary education. Highlights: Improves student engagement through active participation.     Background: Double impaction of two teeth in the same region specifically tooth 22 and tooth 23 is a rare condition that requires a combined treatment approach involving fixed orthodontics and surgical exposure. Fixed orthodontic treatment is essential to prepare space, guide tooth movement after surgical exposure, prevent root resorption, and correct overall malocclusion. Surgical exposure is performed to expose the tooth crown, preserve the alveolar bone, avoid root exposure, and facilitate the attachment of buttons and ligatures. Impacted teeth can affect the stomatognathic system, facial growth, and aesthetics. The maxillary incisors and canines play a critical role in occlusion, masticatory function, and facial aesthetics, thus requiring appropriate management. Objective: To describe the management of a double impaction case in the anterior left maxillary region of a 19-year-old female patient using a combined approach of fixed orthodontic and surgical treatment. Methods: The patient underwent fixed orthodontic treatment and sequential extraction of premolars 14 and 24 to create space for the eruption of the impacted teeth and to correct the midline before surgical exposure. Post-surgical exposure, orthodontic treatment was continued to guide both teeth into proper alignment within the dental arch. Results: Teeth 22 and 23 successfully erupted with good occlusion. The patient's masticatory function and facial aesthetics improved over a 2-year period following surgical exposure. Conclusion: Fixed orthodontic treatment combined with surgical exposure is an effective strategy for managing double impaction of anterior teeth in the left maxillary region, considering the position of the crowns, tooth inclination, and root apex morphology of the impacted teeth. Highlights: Double impaction of teeth 22 and 23 is rare and affects function and aesthetics. Combined surgical and orthodontic treatment effectively guided tooth eruption.     Application of Total Productive Maintenance in Heavy Equipment Maintenance Information Systems: Penerapan Total Productive Maintenance pada Sistem Informasi Pemeliharaan Alat Berat

    General Background: In the era of digital transformation, efficient industrial asset maintenance is critical to meeting global competitiveness demands. Specific Background: Heavy equipment in sectors like construction, plantations, and agriculture requires significant investment and continuous maintenance, yet many companies still rely on manual, unscheduled, and reactive practices. Knowledge Gap: Limited research addresses the direct integration of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) with real-time, data-driven maintenance information systems tailored for heavy equipment operations. Aims: This study aims to develop and implement an integrated TPM-based heavy equipment maintenance information system to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance decision-making. Results: Using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, the system identified performance gaps, with the highest OEE at 97% (Truck) and the lowest at 14% (Roller), enabling targeted maintenance actions. The integration reduced downtime, optimized resource use, and provided predictive insights. Novelty: Unlike prior studies focusing solely on TPM theory or measurement, this work delivers a practical, field-ready, IT-enabled solution directly integrated into daily heavy equipment operations. Implications: The approach offers a scalable model for other industries, supporting sustainable asset management through predictive, data-driven maintenance strategies.Highlight : Integrating TPM with information systems reduces downtime and improves performance. OEE is used to measure the availability, performance, and quality of heavy equipment. The system facilitates real-time monitoring and maintenance decision-making.
