    Governance Principles Driving Sustainable Village Economic and Social Development

    General Background: Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) serve as key instruments for advancing local economic development and community welfare within Indonesia’s rural governance system. Specific Background: Despite their strategic role, many BUMDes—including BUMDes Raharja in Bohar Village—struggle to fully implement good governance principles due to challenges in financial independence, human resource capacity, and digital transparency. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have emphasized the economic contributions of BUMDes but have insufficiently explored the integrated application of cooperative, participatory, emancipatory, transparent, accountable, and sustainable governance principles in shaping inclusive and resilient village economies. Aims: This study analyzes the implementation of good governance principles in BUMDes Raharja and evaluates their effects on community welfare and institutional sustainability. Results: Findings reveal that while BUMDes Raharja successfully fosters cooperation, participation, and transparency, limitations persist in financial autonomy, digital management, and inclusivity. Novelty: The study integrates six governance dimensions within a unified analytical framework, offering a comprehensive perspective on governance-driven rural empowerment. Implications: Strengthening human resources, promoting digital transformation, and establishing inclusive policies are crucial for enhancing accountability, participation, and long-term sustainability in village economic governance.     Strengthening Faith Education Through Naqsyabandiyah Tarekat Dhikr Practices

    General Background: Faith education is fundamental in shaping the character and personality of Muslims, serving as a moral foundation and guide in daily life. Specific Background: The Naqsyabandiyah Tarekat, with its long-standing Sufi tradition, emphasizes dhikr (remembrance of Allah) as a core spiritual discipline to deepen faith. At Persulukan Thariqus Sa’adah in Aek Hitetoras Village, structured oral and silent dhikr, guided by mursyid, is central to religious practice. Knowledge Gap: While previous studies explore the moral contributions of Sufi orders, limited research examines how Naqsyabandiyah dhikr methods directly strengthen aqeedah (Islamic creed). Aims: This study investigates the methods, applications, and outcomes of Naqsyabandiyah dhikr in enhancing congregants’ faith. Results: Using a qualitative field approach, findings reveal that consistent dhikr, coupled with sharia adherence, muraqabah (spiritual vigilance), and moral guidance, cultivates tauhid, purifies the soul, and fosters spiritual stability. Congregants report increased closeness to Allah and stronger commitment to Islamic principles. Novelty: The study highlights the integration of Imam al-Ghazali’s Sufi principles with Naqsyabandiyah practices, showing their combined impact on faith formation. Implications: These findings suggest that structured dhikr, rooted in classical Sufi teachings, remains a relevant and effective model for contemporary Islamic faith education and spiritual character building.     Dft Computational Study of Organic Inhibitors on the Surface of Iron

    General Background: Corrosion poses a significant global challenge, causing severe economic and structural damage, with approximately 25% of metals produced annually lost due to ongoing degradation. Specific Background: Among various mitigation strategies, organic inhibitors are promising for their efficiency and potential environmental compatibility. Knowledge Gap: Despite experimental evidence of indoline-2,3-dione derivatives as effective inhibitors, detailed quantum-level insights into their inhibition mechanisms remain limited. Aims: This study employs density functional theory (DFT) to evaluate the electronic and chemical interaction parameters of these derivatives and compare predicted performances with experimental data. Results: Calculations using Gaussian09 (B3LYP/6-31++G(d,p)) and G311-6/LYP3B basis sets revealed that 5-chloro-1-(2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethyl)indoline-2,3-dione exhibits superior inhibition efficiency, characterized by a low energy gap (3.314 eV), high inhibitor–metal interaction energy (ΔΨ), enhanced ductility, and favorable EB-D exchange energy. Mulliken charge distribution and electrostatic potential maps confirmed strong nucleophilic and electrophilic sites, supporting a chemisorption-driven mechanism. Novelty: This is the first comprehensive DFT-based analysis linking multiple electronic properties to experimental inhibition data for indoline derivatives. Implications: The findings provide predictive guidelines for designing targeted, environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors for acidic industrial environments, particularly in hydrochloric acid and hydrogen sulfate processing.     Customer Experience and Guest Repurchase Intention at Rocky Plaza Hotel: Pengalaman Pelanggan dan Niat Pembelian Ulang Tamu di Hotel Rocky Plaza

    General Background: Customer experience is a crucial factor in the hospitality industry as it influences customer loyalty and repurchase decisions. Specific Background: In Padang, four-star hotels, including Rocky Plaza Hotel, face fluctuating occupancy rates that have not consistently met targets, despite strategic locations. Knowledge Gap: While prior studies confirm the link between customer experience and repurchase intention in various regions, limited research focuses on four-star hotels in West Sumatra, particularly regarding the integration of sensory, emotional, and social dimensions of customer experience. Aims: This study aims to examine the influence of customer experience on repurchase intention among guests at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang. Results: Using purposive sampling with 98 respondents, data analyzed through simple linear regression revealed that customer experience was categorized as very good (80.61%) and repurchase intention as very good (83.67%). The regression results showed a significant influence, with customer experience explaining 53.6% of the variance in repurchase intention. Novelty: This study uniquely combines three indicators of customer experience (sensoric, emotional, and social) with four indicators of repurchase intention (transactional, referential, explorative, and preferential), while integrating occupancy data for contextual depth. Implications: Findings highlight that enhancing personalized services, emotional connections, and social interactions can strengthen loyalty, offering practical insights for hotel management and contributing to service marketing and CRM literature in the local context.     Student Participation and Achievement through Student Facilitator and Explaining Model: Partisipasi dan Prestasi Siswa melalui Model Student Facilitator and Explaining

    General Background: Education in elementary schools requires strategies that encourage active learning and meaningful understanding. Specific Background: In SDN 109/II Manggis, only 29% of fifth-grade students met the minimum criteria in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), indicating low mastery and passive learning. Knowledge Gap: While the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) model has been applied in other subjects, its role in IPAS learning remains underexplored. Aims: This study aimed to improve the learning process and outcomes of IPAS by applying the SFAE model. Results: Conducted through Classroom Action Research (two cycles, 23 students), the study showed consistent improvements. Teacher performance rose from 73.68% to 89.47%, student activity from 59% to 79.33%, and classical mastery from 55.56% to 81.49%. Students became more active in discussions and peer explanations, leading to stronger understanding and retention. Novelty: This research applies SFAE specifically in IPAS, a newly integrated subject in the independent curriculum, highlighting its potential in contextual science-social learning. Implications: Findings suggest that SFAE fosters collaborative learning, student participation, and academic achievement, making it suitable for wider application in similar classroom contexts.     Social Bond Emerges as Primary Factor in Logistics Customer Loyalty: Social Bond Menjadi Penentu Loyalitas Pelanggan di Industri Logistik

    General Background: The logistics industry operates in a highly competitive environment, where maintaining customer loyalty is essential for sustainable growth. Specific Background: In Indonesia, particularly Batam, logistics companies face challenges in retaining clients amid increasing service alternatives. Knowledge Gap: While prior research has addressed customer loyalty in various service sectors, limited studies have examined the combined role of social, structural, and financial bonds in shaping loyalty within logistics services. Aims: This study investigates the influence of social bond, structural bond, and financial bond on customer loyalty at PT Threelog Kencana Mandiri. Results: Using a quantitative causal design with 56 respondents and analyzing data through PLS-SEM, findings reveal that all three variables positively and significantly affect customer loyalty, with social bond being the most dominant factor. Collectively, the three bonds explain 77% of the variation in customer loyalty, indicating a strong category. Novelty: The study highlights that beyond financial incentives, loyalty in logistics is largely driven by relational and systemic bonds. Implications: These results suggest that logistics firms should strengthen social interactions and service structures alongside financial offerings to build sustainable customer loyalty.     General Background: Stunting remains a persistent global health issue with significant implications for human development, particularly in Indonesia, where it affects children’s physical and cognitive growth and threatens the nation’s demographic potential. Specific Background: The Sidoarjo Health Center (Puskesmas) operates as a primary healthcare facility and serves as a key institution in implementing the government’s national strategy for accelerating stunting reduction. Knowledge Gap: Despite numerous government initiatives, the specific mechanisms and effectiveness of local health centers in addressing stunting through community-based interventions remain underexplored. Aims: This study aims to analyze the role of the Sidoarjo Health Center in stunting prevention using Gayatri’s (2005) role theory, which categorizes institutional functions as motivator, facilitator, and dynamicator. Results: The findings reveal that Puskesmas Sidoarjo successfully fulfills these roles by motivating health workers and the community, providing adequate medical facilities, and fostering cross-sector collaboration with government, academia, and civil organizations. Novelty: The study offers a localized perspective on stunting prevention, highlighting the integration of community empowerment and inter-sectoral partnerships at the primary healthcare level.      General Background: Halal tourism has emerged as a significant global trend combining religious observance with cultural experience, positioning regions with strong Islamic traditions, such as Aceh, to play a strategic role. Specific Background: Within this context, Peunajoh Aceh—a traditional culinary and cultural practice rooted in Islamic and communal values—holds potential as an authentic symbol for promoting halal tourism and strengthening the local creative economy. Knowledge Gap: Despite its cultural richness, the role of Peunajoh Aceh in advancing halal tourism and supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) has not been systematically examined. Aims: This study investigates how Peunajoh Aceh contributes to halal tourism promotion and its subsequent impact on the creative economy in Bireuen Regency, Aceh. Results: Using a mixed-methods approach involving policymakers, MSME actors, and tourists, findings reveal that Peunajoh Aceh significantly enhances halal tourism through culinary innovation, digital marketing, and community-based enterprise development, although challenges remain in certification access, managerial skills, and promotional integration. Novelty: The study uniquely links local tradition with economic innovation within the halal tourism framework.     General Background: Ischemic heart disease (IHD) remains a major global health burden, primarily driven by atherosclerosis, thrombosis, and chronic inflammation. Specific Background: Emerging evidence implicates amino acid metabolism, particularly the tryptophan (Trp)–kynurenine pathway, in cardiovascular pathogenesis through its interplay with inflammation and energy homeostasis. Knowledge Gap: While the kynurenine pathway has been linked to cardiovascular disease, the specific role of Trp degradation in IHD, especially regarding NAD+ metabolism and SIRT1 regulation, is not well established. Aims: This study examined the association between Trp catabolism, NAD+ availability, SIRT1 expression, and inflammatory markers in IHD patients. Results: Compared with healthy controls, IHD patients exhibited significantly reduced serum Trp and NAD+ levels, while SIRT1 expression was markedly elevated. In parallel, inflammatory markers including CRP and Troponin were consistently higher across myocardial infarction, angina, and heart failure groups. Novelty: These findings highlight a distinct metabolic-inflammatory axis in IHD, where enhanced Trp degradation coincides with disrupted NAD+ homeostasis and compensatory SIRT1 elevation. Implications: Targeting Trp metabolism, NAD+ pathways, and SIRT1 regulation may offer novel diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic strategies for IHD and related cardiovascular conditions.Highlight : Serum tryptophan and NAD+ levels are lower in IHD patients.     Legal Politics and Compliance in Forming Village Budget Regulations

    General Background: Village autonomy in Indonesia, as regulated in Law No. 6 of 2014 and refined in Law No. 3 of 2024, grants villages significant authority to manage their governance and finances through the Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBDes). Specific Background: However, the drafting of village regulations often diverges from positive law, revealing tension between national legal ideals and local political practices. Knowledge Gap: Few studies comprehensively analyze how national legal politics and local compliance interact in shaping legally accountable village governance. Aims: This study aims to analyze the influence of legal politics and compliance with positive law in the formation of village regulations on APBDes. Results: Using a normative juridical method with legislative, conceptual, and sociological approaches, the study finds that compliance with positive law is strongly determined by central legal politics, human resource capacity, and village legal culture. Decentralization has increased autonomy but also introduced risks of legal deviation. Novelty: This research integrates the concept of legal politics with village-level compliance analysis, positioning legal awareness as a moral and structural foundation of governance. Implications: Strengthening legal culture and supervision mechanisms is essential to ensure that village regulations reflect justice, transparency, and public interest rather than local political interests.
