Bitcoin Movements Correlate with Shifts in Global Financial Market Indices
General background: The increasing integration of digital technologies has transformed global financial systems, with cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin, emerging as prominent financial instruments. Specific background: Amid widespread adoption by institutions and individuals, Bitcoin has garnered attention for its potential to influence traditional financial markets, particularly during periods of global uncertainty such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Knowledge gap: While much has been discussed about the theoretical influence of cryptocurrencies, empirical evidence on their actual impact on global financial indices remains inconclusive. Aims: This study investigates the effect of Bitcoin trading volume and the COVID-19 pandemic on a composite index comprising advanced (S&P 500), emerging (KLSE), and developing (DZ) market indices from July 2018 to December 2022. Results: Using a fixed-effects panel data model, the findings reveal that past market performance significantly predicts current performance, while Bitcoin trading volume and the pandemic show no statistically significant impact. Novelty: The study uniquely combines market classifications and utilizes a composite index to empirically isolate the influence of Bitcoin across diverse economies. Graduate Competency Patterns for Strategic Differentiation in Bukhara HEIs
General Background: In today’s global knowledge economy, the competitiveness of higher education institutions (HEIs) increasingly depends on their ability to align graduate competencies with labor market expectations. Specific Background: This is particularly relevant in regional contexts like Bukhara, Uzbekistan, where institutions must adapt to evolving demands while preserving traditional education values. Knowledge Gap: Despite global emphasis on employability, limited empirical research has analyzed how specific competencies influence HEI competitiveness in transitional economies. Aims: This study investigates the impact of five key graduate competencies—communication, creativity, self-competence, IT competence, and social competence—on employer evaluations to inform strategic competitiveness management. Results: Using data from 363 employers and regression analysis, the findings reveal that communication and creativity are the most significant predictors, explaining 47.9% of the variance in employer ratings. Institution-specific models further highlight varied strengths across five HEIs. Novelty: The study provides a competency-based, data-driven framework for HEI competitiveness management that differentiates institutional profiles rather than applying uniform standards. The Role of Digital Da'wah in Alpha Generation Character Education: Peran Dakwah Digital Dalam Pendidikan Karakter Generasi Alpha

Specific Background: Generation Alpha, born into a fully digital environment, demonstrates unique behavioral and learning patterns that differ significantly from previous cohorts, requiring new approaches in moral and character education. Knowledge Gap: While many studies have explored digital literacy and character education for Generation Z, few have specifically addressed the Alpha generation in relation to digital da'wah as a medium for Islamic character development. Aim: This study investigates the role of digital da'wah in shaping the character of Generation Alpha through content on platforms like TikTok and YouTube. Results: Findings reveal that digital da'wah significantly contributes to internalizing Islamic values such as faith, discipline, and social responsibility among Generation Alpha, using appealing and contextualized multimedia content. Strategic Foresight Scenarios for Tourism Development in Uzbekistan
General Background: Tourism is increasingly recognized as a strategic sector within Uzbekistan’s national economy, demonstrating robust growth and rising contributions to GDP in recent years. Specific Background: Despite impressive gains, the sector remains vulnerable to global disruptions, such as pandemics, highlighting the need for adaptive and forward-looking strategies. Knowledge Gap: While foresight technologies are gaining traction globally in tourism planning, their application in Uzbekistan remains underexplored and institutionally undeveloped. Aims: This study investigates the role of foresight methodologies—scenario analysis, horizon scanning, and long-term forecasting—in shaping strategic tourism development in Uzbekistan and proposes a structured framework for their implementation. Results: Empirical analysis revealed a strong correlation (r ≈ 0.99) between tourist inflows and export revenues, and scenario modeling projected 2030 arrivals ranging from 10 to 14 million tourists depending on external and policy factors. Novelty: The study presents the first integrated application of foresight tools in Uzbekistan’s tourism context, including custom growth scenarios and institutional foresight recommendations. Chlorhexidine Mouthwash Use and Blood Glucose Trends by Age and Gender: Penggunaan Obat Kumur Klorheksidin dan Tren Glukosa Darah Berdasarkan Usia dan Jenis Kelamin
General Background: Oral health is intricately associated with systemic health, particularly in the aging population where chronic conditions such as diabetes are prevalent. Specific Background: Chlorhexidine 0.2% mouthwash is widely used to reduce oral microbial load, potentially influencing systemic inflammation and metabolic markers. Knowledge Gap: However, the systemic impact of routine chlorhexidine use, especially on glycemic regulation in older adults, remains insufficiently explored. Aims: This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the association between the use of 0.2% chlorhexidine mouthwash and random blood glucose (RBG) levels, while considering age and gender influences. Results: Among 90 respondents, predominantly aged ≥40 years (82%), 34% reported regular chlorhexidine use. Users showed a lower mean RBG (120 mg/dL) compared to non-users (128 mg/dL), though the difference was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). Gender-based analysis also revealed no significant differences. Novelty: This study contributes novel insight by highlighting a possible, albeit non-significant, trend toward improved glycemic status in chlorhexidine users. Implications: While not conclusive, these findings suggest that consistent oral hygiene via chlorhexidine may support systemic health maintenance in older adults, reinforcing the need for longitudinal studies on its metabolic effects.

General Background: Folk crafts are a vital component of Uzbekistan’s national heritage and an important sector for regional socio-economic development. Specific Background: In the Qashqadaryo region, there is a growing movement to integrate traditional handicrafts with modern digital technologies and intellectual property (IP) frameworks. Knowledge Gap: However, few studies have examined how digital tools like 3D modeling and IoT are being practically applied in crafts, and how artisans interact with patenting systems. Aims: This study investigates the synergetic modernization of folk crafts through digitalization and IP protection to enhance production efficiency, design innovation, and market competitiveness. Results: Field data, trend modeling, and correlation analysis reveal systemic barriers such as low digital literacy, limited IP awareness, and insufficient infrastructure. Nevertheless, emerging initiatives—such as regional innovation hubs and blockchain-based IP systems—demonstrate growing institutional support. Novelty: The paper introduces a holistic “synergistic approach” combining digital design, smart production, and legal safeguards, tailored to the cultural and economic context of Uzbek artisans. Prediction of Kidney Failure and Cancer Insurance Claims with Bayesian MCMC: Prediksi Klaim Asuransi Gagal Ginjal dan Kanker dengan Bayesian MCMC
General Background: Health insurance plays a crucial role in mitigating the financial risks of catastrophic illnesses. Specific Background: In Indonesia, chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cancer contribute significantly to the burden of BPJS Health claims, with rising costs reported in recent years. Knowledge Gap: Existing claim estimation models often fail to capture the uncertainty and variability inherent in real-world data. Aims: This study aims to develop a Bayesian model with a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) approach to accurately estimate insurance claims for CKD and cancer. Results: Using 2021–2024 data from RSUP Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten, the model successfully estimated outpatient CKD claims at 1649.29 (SD = 19.82) and outpatient cancer claims at 147.68 (SD = 10.18). All model diagnostics indicate strong convergence and accuracy (R-hat = 1.0, ESS > 5000). Novelty: This research applies MCMC-based Bayesian inference with various prior settings (informative to non-informative) and demonstrates robust posterior prediction under different assumptions. Implications: The model provides a credible framework for insurance risk management, improving claim prediction and fiscal planning for health providers and insurers, particularly in managing high-cost diseases within the national health system.Highlight :

Sharia-Based Evaluation of Village Fund Allocation for Infrastructure Development
General Background: Effective village fund management is vital for advancing rural development, especially through infrastructure enhancement that directly supports community welfare. Specific Background: Karangmulyo village exemplifies the central role of village governance in allocating and utilizing these funds to deliver essential infrastructure. Knowledge Gap: Despite significant fund allocations, comprehensive assessments of fund effectiveness and alignment with Islamic economic principles remain limited. Aim: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of village fund utilization for infrastructure development in Karangmulyo village and to analyze it from an Islamic economic perspective. Results: The findings reveal that 81% of the village fund was effectively utilized in infrastructure development, aligning with standards set by the Minister of Home Affairs Decree No. 690.900.327/1996. Communication among stakeholders and adherence to procedures were satisfactory, despite constraints such as limited human resources and budget.Novelty: This research uniquely integrates conventional performance metrics with Islamic economic principles—mutual assistance (ta’awun), benefit (maslahah), and justice (‘adl)—to assess infrastructure governance. Implications: The study contributes to policy discourse on optimizing village fund use, emphasizing both administrative accountability and Sharia compliance as foundations for sustainable rural development.
