    General Background: Effective public administration relies heavily on the competence of managerial personnel. Specific Background: In Uzbekistan, reforms emphasize forming a professional civil service corps aligned with modern governance standards. Knowledge Gap: Despite existing assessment frameworks, subjectivity, lack of digital integration, and inconsistent criteria hinder accurate evaluation of leadership potential. Aims: This study aims to improve the mechanisms for assessing the management competence of civil service leaders through evidence-based, competency-focused, and technologically supported methods. Results: The analysis reveals that international best practices, such as 360-degree feedback, digital platforms, and psychometric assessments, offer more objective and comprehensive evaluations. Novelty: The proposed model integrates global methodologies with localized needs, advocating for strategic foresight, emotional intelligence, and ethical standards in leadership assessment.     General Background: Business Intelligence (BI) systems have evolved from static dashboards to dynamic tools for data-driven decision-making. Specific Background: However, traditional BI remains reactive and limited in autonomy, creating a performance bottleneck in rapidly changing enterprise environments. Knowledge Gap: Current literature lacks a comprehensive model that integrates agentic AI—AI systems capable of autonomous planning, execution, and adaptation—into existing BI frameworks. Aims: This study introduces the "BI-Agentic Decision Loop" framework to operationalize agentic AI within BI systems and assess its transformative impact. Results: Empirical findings from financial, ESG, and operational domains show improvements including a 45% rise in decision accuracy, 75% reduction in ESG reporting time, and 60% gain in real-time responsiveness. Novelty: Unlike prior models, the proposed framework emphasizes closed-loop autonomy with contextual perception, adaptive reasoning, and continuous learning while ensuring human oversight.     General Background: The growth of Islamic banking in Indonesia continues to show promise, yet market penetration remains limited due to competition with conventional banking. Specific Background: Customer decisions are influenced by both the application of Maqashid Syariah values and institutional reputation, yet limited studies assess both variables in the context of specific products like Marhamah Savings. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies overlook the combined impact of Maqashid Syariah values and institutional reputation on product usage decisions in localized banking contexts. Aims: This study investigates the influence of Maqashid Syariah values and institutional reputation on customers’ decisions to use Marhamah Savings at Bank Sumut Syariah, Medan. Results: Using a quantitative approach and regression analysis on 100 respondents, results indicate that both Maqashid Syariah values (t = 4.875; p < 0.001) and institutional reputation (t = 4.530; p < 0.001) significantly influence product usage decisions, jointly explaining 68.3% of the variance. Novelty: This study uniquely combines two critical factors—Shariah values and reputation—on a specific Islamic savings product in a regional context, offering fresh empirical insight. Implications: Findings suggest that Islamic banks should enhance service transparency, digital innovation, and public literacy based on Maqashid Syariah to improve competitiveness and customer loyalty.Highlight : Maqashid Syariah values positively influence the decision to use Marhamah Savings.     General Background: Optimal community participation is a key determinant of success in community-based development programs, such as the Probebaya Program in Samarinda City, which integrates infrastructure development and economic empowerment at the village level. Specific Background: In Sempaja Barat Subdistrict, community participation remains low, influenced by dependence on incentives, limited awareness, and minimal involvement of Community Groups (POKMAS) in all program stages. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies rarely examine in detail the specific roles of POKMAS, along with supporting and inhibiting factors, in the context of Probebaya at the village level. Aims: This study analyzes the role of POKMAS in enhancing community participation and identifies the factors influencing its effectiveness. Results: Using a descriptive qualitative method, the research found that POKMAS plays a strategic role in coordinating community deliberations, implementing activities, and evaluating programs, with support from community leaders and the government as enabling factors, and limited budget, miscommunication, and low awareness as major constraints. Novelty: This study provides a detailed mapping of POKMAS’ roles and the factors influencing community participation in Probebaya at the local level. Implications: The findings highlight the need to strengthen POKMAS capacity, raise public awareness, and foster synergy among stakeholders to ensure program sustainability and effectiveness.     Background (General): Islamic banks play a crucial role in Indonesia’s financial system, with murabahah financing serving as a primary income source. Background (Specific): While murabahah margins are fixed and independent of interest rate fluctuations, macroeconomic variables such as interest rates and inflation may still indirectly affect bank profitability. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies largely focused on annual pre-pandemic data, overlooking quarterly dynamics during the post-pandemic period, when monetary and market conditions changed significantly. Aim: This study examines the effects of murabahah financing, interest rates, and inflation on murabahah margin income in Indonesian Islamic banks during 2020–2024 using quarterly data. Results: Multiple regression analysis of 30 observations from six banks shows murabahah financing has a significant positive effect on margin income, whereas interest rates and inflation show no significant individual impact. Jointly, all three variables significantly influence margin income. Novelty: The research introduces a post-pandemic, quarterly dataset and simultaneously tests three key financial and macroeconomic variables in the murabahah context. Implications: Findings affirm the strategic importance of murabahah financing as a stable revenue driver, suggesting Islamic banks should prioritize financing expansion and operational efficiency over short-term macroeconomic fluctuations when formulating pricing and portfolio strategies.Highlight : Murabahah financing has a significant positive effect on margin income. Interest rates and inflation have no partial effect. All three variables have a simultaneous significant effect.     General Background: Large enterprises in strategic sectors are pivotal for national economic growth, employment, and innovation. Specific Background: In Uzbekistan, despite ongoing reforms aimed at liberalization, privatization, and digital integration, these enterprises continue to rely on outdated, bureaucratic management models. Knowledge Gap: Existing global and local research offers valuable theoretical frameworks, but lacks practical applicability to Uzbekistan’s unique economic and sectoral characteristics, particularly in terms of digital readiness and human capital constraints. Aims: This study aims to develop a comprehensive and adaptable model for improving economic management mechanisms in dominant enterprises, integrating strategic planning, digital transformation, and resource optimization. Results: Empirical analysis revealed that sectors with advanced ERP and BI adoption, such as telecom and energy, achieved over 12% cost savings and up to 90% forecast accuracy. Conversely, sectors like agriculture and textiles lagged due to poor digital infrastructure. Novelty: The study combines benchmarking, sectoral data, and interdisciplinary insights to propose context-sensitive reforms, emphasizing digital systems integration, strategic flexibility, and corporate independence. Implications: The proposed model underscores the necessity of multidimensional reform-balancing economic efficiency, state policy alignment, and human capital development—to ensure sustainable, market-oriented enterprise transformation. Highlights: Modernization Imperative. Traditional bureaucratic management systems in large Uzbek enterprises are ineffective; intelligent, digital-compatible systems are urgently needed. Specific background: Uzbekistan, endowed with rich cultural and historical assets, has made tourism a strategic priority, especially in the post-independence era. Knowledge gap: Despite institutional reforms and increasing tourist numbers, Uzbekistan’s tourism sector still faces challenges in infrastructure, digitalization, service quality, and international marketing. Aims: This study aims to analyze the mechanisms for enhancing foreign tourist inflow and improving tourism services in Uzbekistan by identifying systemic weaknesses and proposing evidence-based solutions. Results: Using a mixed-methods approach, the study finds that while tourist numbers and revenue have rebounded post-pandemic, service quality remains uneven, regional disparities are significant, and average revenue per tourist is low. Novelty: The study contributes by integrating regional tourism data with strategic policy recommendations that emphasize digital transformation, human capital development, and national branding. Implications: These findings highlight the need for comprehensive reforms focusing on sustainable, inclusive, and digital tourism models to unlock Uzbekistan’s full tourism potential and position it competitively in the global market.     Student Learning Outcomes in Mathematics Through Problem-Based Learning: Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Melalui Problem-Based Learning

    Background: The persistent challenge in elementary mathematics lies in students’ low achievement, often caused by monotonous instruction and limited engagement strategies. Specific Background: At SDIT Andalusia, Grade V students demonstrated low completion rates, highlighting the urgency of adopting more student-centered methods. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies affirm the promise of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), but limited evidence exists on its contextual use in elementary mathematics with real-life integration. Aims: This study examined whether PBL can improve both the learning process and outcomes in Grade V mathematics. Results: Conducted through Classroom Action Research with two cycles, findings showed a rise in mastery from 55.55% in the first cycle to 92.59% in the second cycle. Average student scores increased from 69.33 to 80.48. Novelty: Unlike typical PBL applications, this research embedded local daily-life problems, fostering relevance and stronger engagement. Implications: Results suggest that contextualized PBL supports active participation, conceptual understanding, and higher achievement, offering an adaptable strategy for elementary mathematics instruction.     General Background: Education at the primary level plays a pivotal role in shaping students’ foundational knowledge, skills, and character, yet learning engagement often remains low. Specific Background: In the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, the integrated Science and Social Studies subject (IPAS) requires active and meaningful participation, but observations at SDN 51/II Paku Aji revealed limited student involvement and poor academic results due to monotonous teaching practices. Knowledge Gap: Although cooperative learning models are widely studied, few investigations specifically address the application of Small Group Work (SGW) within the IPAS subject in elementary schools, especially regarding students’ discussion skills. Aims: This study sought to improve learning activities and outcomes of fourth-grade students through the implementation of SGW. Results: Conducted as Classroom Action Research in two cycles with 20 students, the findings showed a significant rise in teacher performance (from 77.27% to 90.90%), student participation (from 65% to 85%), and mastery of learning outcomes (from 55% to 80%). Novelty: Unlike prior studies, this research situates SGW within the Merdeka Curriculum’s integrative IPAS framework, emphasizing collaborative discussion as a core competence. Implications: The findings demonstrate that SGW not only enhances academic achievement but also fosters active engagement and social interaction, offering a practical strategy for teachers to address low participation in IPAS learning.Highlight : Teacher performance improved significantly across learning cycles.     Periodontal Pathogens and Their Association with Cardiovascular Diseases: Patogen Periodontal dan Hubungannya dengan Penyakit Kardiovaskular

    Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading global cause of mortality, and recent evidence suggests a bidirectional relationship between systemic inflammation and periodontal disease (PD). Specific Background: Oral microbiota dysbiosis, particularly involving pathogens such as P. gingivalis, A. actinomycetemcomitans, and T. forsythia, has been implicated in CVD progression through inflammatory and metabolic pathways. Knowledge Gap: While previous studies have highlighted possible associations, limited data exist regarding the prevalence of these pathogens and their correlation with systemic inflammatory markers and cardiovascular risk factors in Middle Eastern populations. Aim: This study investigated the prevalence of key periodontal pathogens in patients with CVD and their relationship with systemic biomarkers and cardiovascular risk indicators. Results: A total of 150 CVD patients and 50 healthy controls were analyzed. Patients exhibited significantly higher prevalence of periodontal pathogens (74% P. gingivalis, 56% A. actinomycetemcomitans, 62% T. forsythia), elevated inflammatory markers (CRP, IL-6, TNF-α), dyslipidemia, and increased BMI compared with controls (p < 0.001). Pathogen prevalence correlated positively with CVD severity. Novelty: This study provides region-specific evidence linking periodontal pathogens to systemic inflammation and cardiovascular risk. Implications: The findings underscore the importance of integrating oral health care into cardiovascular disease prevention and management strategies.Highlight : Periodontal pathogens are found more frequently in patients with CVD.
