Challenges to Nursing Process Implementation in Clinical Practice
Background (General): The nursing process (NP) is a systematic framework for delivering holistic, evidence-based, and patient-centered care, yet its consistent application remains limited in many clinical contexts. Background (Specific): In Iraq, nurses face systemic, organizational, and cultural barriers that compromise the effective use of the NP, despite its foundational role in nursing practice. Knowledge Gap: While prior studies have identified individual challenges, few have comprehensively examined barriers using mixed-method approaches that integrate both quantitative and qualitative perspectives. Aim: This study sought to identify and analyze the barriers hindering the implementation of the NP among nurses in Mosul through a sequential mixed-method design. Results: Quantitative findings from 500 nurses revealed that lack of knowledge and skills (78.4%), insufficient organizational support (86.2%), and inadequate training (77.0%) were major barriers, while qualitative interviews highlighted themes of poor interprofessional communication, cultural resistance to change, and resource shortages. Novelty: By combining statistical analysis with thematic insights, this research offers a multidimensional understanding of NP challenges, emphasizing the interplay between personal competencies and systemic constraints. Implications: The findings underscore the urgent need for targeted interventions in training, policy, and organizational support to strengthen NP implementation and improve patient outcomes in resource-limited healthcare systems.

Rehabilitating Social Systems Through the Sekolah Perjumpaan Praxis Model
(General Background) Contemporary Indonesian education often prioritizes cognitive achievement while neglecting moral and social integrity, leading to weakened communal values and fragmented social systems. (Specific Background) Traditional character education approaches remain individualistic and exam-oriented, offering limited strategies for cultivating honesty, tolerance, and empathy through social praxis. (Knowledge Gap) Although speech act theory conceptualizes language as action, it largely lacks practical application in community-based moral education within heterogeneous societies. (Aims) This study explores how speech act theory, integrated with social systems theory, can be operationalized through Sekolah Perjumpaan, a community-based model designed to rehabilitate social relations and foster collective character. (Results) Using qualitative case study methods—interviews, observations, and document analysis—the study found that Sekolah Perjumpaan aligns intentional states (thinking, feeling, desiring, willing) with speech acts (assertive, expressive, directive, commissive) to form sustained moral habits and social cohesion. (Novelty) The research introduces M. Husni Muadz’s innovative praxis that transforms speech act theory from abstract philosophy into an actionable pedagogical framework grounded in Indonesian socio-cultural contexts. (Implications) The findings position Sekolah Perjumpaan as a replicable model for community-based character education and social system rehabilitation, offering both theoretical advancement and policy relevance for national education reform.

Monitoring of IL-1β and MCP-1 Levels in Diabetic Patients with Foot Ulcer Infections: Pemantauan Kadar IL-1β dan MCP-1 pada Pasien Diabetes dengan Infeksi Luka Kaki
General Background: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are among the most severe complications of diabetes mellitus, often complicated by persistent infections that delay healing and increase morbidity. Specific Background: Chronic DFUs are associated with exaggerated inflammatory responses, where cytokines such as interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) play pivotal roles in tissue damage and impaired recovery. Knowledge Gap: Despite evidence linking cytokines to inflammation, their diagnostic and prognostic utility in monitoring infection severity and bacterial involvement in DFUs remains insufficiently explored. Aims: This study evaluated serum IL-1β and MCP-1 levels in diabetic patients with infected foot ulcers, examining associations with ulcer severity, gender, and microbial isolates. Results: Compared with healthy controls, diabetic patients exhibited significantly elevated IL-1β and MCP-1 levels, which strongly correlated with each other and increased with Wagner ulcer stage. Staphylococcus aureus was the predominant bacterial isolate, followed by E. coli and P. aeruginosa. Gender-specific differences were observed, with males showing higher cytokine concentrations, while correlations were stronger among females. Novelty: The study demonstrates a clear link between pro-inflammatory cytokines and ulcer severity, highlighting their potential as biomarkers for disease monitoring. Implications: Incorporating IL-1β and MCP-1 assessments into clinical practice may improve early diagnosis, guide therapeutic strategies, and support personalized management of diabetic foot infections.Highlight :

Study of the Prevalence of Gastrointestinal Diseases Among Conscripts
General Background: Functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) are increasingly recognized as significant global health burdens, particularly among young adults exposed to high stress, irregular routines, and limited dietary diversity. Specific Background: Military conscripts face unique physical and psychosocial pressures that may exacerbate FGID risks; however, Central Asian populations, including Uzbekistan, remain underrepresented in FGID epidemiology. Knowledge Gap: No prior standardized, large-scale study has assessed FGID prevalence and psychosomatic correlates among Uzbek military personnel, leaving a void in understanding regional patterns and predictors. Aims: This study aimed to determine the prevalence, subtypes, and psychological correlates of FGIDs among Uzbek conscripts using Rome-based diagnostic tools and the SCL-90R scale. Results: Among 910 participants aged 20–25, FGIDs were present in 19.8%, with functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome predominating. Somatization and obsessive–compulsive traits emerged as independent predictors, while depression showed a weak inverse relationship. Novelty: This is the first systematic study to map FGID prevalence and psychosomatic predictors in Uzbekistan’s conscript population, bridging regional epidemiological gaps. Implications: Findings underscore the necessity of integrating psychological and gastrointestinal screening, stress management, and dietary regulation into military health programs to enhance servicemen’s well-being and operational readiness.Highlight :

Motivation as a Bridge Between Training, Coaching, and Employee Performance: Motivasi sebagai Jembatan Antara Pelatihan, Pembinaan, dan Kinerja Karyawan
General Background: Regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) play a vital role in supporting regional development and economic independence in Indonesia, particularly within the energy sector of East Kalimantan. Specific Background: Despite their strategic position, many BUMDs face challenges in maintaining competitiveness due to limited human resource development and weak managerial systems. Knowledge Gap: Prior studies have examined the effects of training and motivation on employee performance, but few have explored the mediating role of motivation between training, coaching, and performance in regional energy enterprises. Aims: This study investigates how training and coaching influence employee performance through motivation as a mediating variable. Results: Using an explanatory survey method with 82 respondents and Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis, findings reveal that training and motivation significantly affect performance, coaching affects motivation but not performance directly, and motivation mediates the relationship between both predictors and performance. Novelty: This research highlights motivation as a pivotal mediating mechanism linking developmental interventions to performance in the regional energy industry context. Implications: The study underscores the importance of integrating structured training and personalized coaching to strengthen employee motivation, thereby enhancing organizational performance and sustainability within the energy sector.

The Role of Metamaterials in Advancing Wireless Communications Through Signal Enhancement and Energy Reduction
General Background: Wireless communication systems have become vital in modern life but face persistent challenges including signal degradation, high power consumption, and electromagnetic interference. Specific Background: Recent research highlights metamaterials as a promising solution due to their engineered electromagnetic properties—such as negative permittivity and permeability—that enable unprecedented control over wave propagation. Knowledge Gap: Despite significant theoretical advancements, practical demonstrations of how metamaterials enhance antenna performance in real-world wireless systems remain limited. Aims: This study investigates the integration of metamaterials into antenna structures to improve gain, efficiency, and impedance matching while minimizing reflection and energy loss. Results: Comparative simulations between conventional and metamaterial-enhanced antennas show that at 5.0 GHz, gain increased from 6.1 dBi to 10.4 dBi, efficiency rose from 65.3% to 80.2%, and reflection coefficient dropped from 0.42 to 0.22, confirming superior energy transfer and directivity. Novelty: The research demonstrates how metamaterials function not merely as passive components but as active design tools enabling reconfigurable, frequency-adaptive antenna behavior. Between Symbols and Service: Inclusive Leadership in Faith-Based Hospitals, Identity Safety, and Interfaith Patient Trust in Yogyakarta
General Background: Faith-based hospitals in Yogyakarta operate within a pluralistic society where patient trust is shaped by both clinical competence and identity-sensitive service cues. Specific Background: Inclusive leadership is theorised to reduce identity threat and enhance fairness perceptions, yet empirical evidence on its effects for interfaith patients remains limited. Knowledge Gap: Existing studies have not clarified how leadership-driven identity-safe cues and justice perceptions jointly influence trust, affective comfort, and patient behavioural outcomes in faith-based healthcare. Aims: This study examines a structural model linking inclusive leadership, identity-safe religious cues, procedural/interactional justice, trust, comfort, satisfaction, and post-service behaviour. Methods: A cross-sectional survey of 114 outpatients from two urban hospitals was analysed using PLS-SEM. Results: Inclusive leadership strongly predicted identity-safe cues and fairness perceptions, which in turn significantly increased trust; trust enhanced comfort, driving satisfaction, revisit intention, and positive word of mouth. Novelty: This study reframes inclusive leadership as a consumer-facing signal of warmth, competence, and interfaith respect, advancing identity-safety theory into healthcare consumption. Implications: Hospitals should institutionalise inclusive cue architecture and transparent procedures to strengthen trust, elevate patient experience, and reinforce competitive advantage.

Administrative Law Implementation on Ethical Misconduct in Government Institutions: Implementasi Hukum Administrasi terhadap Pelanggaran Etika dalam Lembaga Pemerintahan
Background: Ethical violations by government personnel remain a persistent challenge that undermines legal integrity and public trust. Specific background: Cases involving corruption, abuse of authority, and narcotics misuse within military environments reveal the complexity of administrative and disciplinary mechanisms. Knowledge gap: Limited studies address how State Administrative Law functions when ethical violations occur within military institutions. Aims: This study analyzes the application of administrative legal instruments in responding to severe ethical violations committed by government personnel, including military officers. Results: The findings show that administrative law provides a structured framework for ensuring accountability through sanctions, supervision, and adherence to legality and professional standards, although its implementation is hindered by weak oversight, permissive bureaucratic culture, and political intervention. Novelty: This research integrates ethical perspectives with administrative legal mechanisms in cases involving military actors, offering an administrative viewpoint beyond conventional military criminal analysis. Implications: Strengthening technical guidelines, institutional coordination, and ethical culture is necessary for reinforcing administrative accountability and promoting principled governance within public institutions.

Analysis of Biopellets from a Mixture of Coffee Grounds and Sawdust as an Alternative Energy Source: Analisis Biopelet Dari Campuran Ampas Kopi dan Serbuk Gergaji Sebagai Sumber Energi Alternatif
Background: Indonesia’s growing energy demand and dependence on fossil fuels necessitate renewable alternatives such as biomass-based biopellets. Specific Background: Coffee grounds and sawdust are abundant organic wastes with complementary thermal and mechanical properties suitable for pelletization. Knowledge Gap: However, limited studies have clarified how varying proportions of these materials influence biopellet quality relative to SNI 8021:2020 standards. Aims: This study evaluates the effects of four ratios of coffee grounds–sawdust mixtures (80:20, 70:30, 60:40, 50:50) on physical and proximate characteristics of biopellets. Results: One-way ANOVA and Tukey HSD (p < 0.05) showed significant differences across all parameters. Formulations A and B produced the highest calorific values (4674–4689 cal/g) meeting SNI requirements, while B achieved the highest density (560.34 kg/m³). Moisture and ash contents also met standards; however, density and fixed carbon fell below SNI thresholds due to the absence of torrefaction. Novelty: This study demonstrates that optimizing coffee grounds–sawdust mixtures alone cannot meet all quality indicators without thermal pretreatment. Implications: Incorporating torrefaction and enhanced pressing conditions is essential to improve energy density and combustion stability, supporting the development of high-quality waste-based biofuel in Indonesia.

Features Of Pre-Pregnancy Preparation of Women with a History Of Miscarriage.
General background: Infectious diseases, especially opportunistic infections, have become a major concern in obstetrics due to their association with immunodeficiency and severe perinatal complications. Specific background: TORCH infections, including herpes simplex virus, cytomegalovirus, chlamydia, and toxoplasmosis, are known to contribute to spontaneous miscarriages, fetal malformations, and intrauterine mortality. Knowledge gap: Despite the availability of antiviral and antibacterial therapies, evidence regarding the effectiveness of immunomodulatory agents such as Proteflazid in improving reproductive outcomes in women with recurrent miscarriage remains limited. Aims: This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Proteflazid in the complex treatment of women with TORCH infections. Results: Among 30 women aged 20–33 years, Proteflazid administration led to significant clinical improvement, with 80% of patients reporting the disappearance of symptoms and ELISA results showing a 90% reduction in toxoplasma and chlamydia titers and a 78.9% decrease in HSV and CMV titers. Novelty: The study demonstrates the beneficial immunomodulatory and antiviral effects of Proteflazid in enhancing infection control and reproductive health. Implications: These findings suggest that integrating Proteflazid into standard TORCH infection therapy may improve pregnancy outcomes and reduce perinatal morbidity and mortality.Highlight :
