    Determinants of Myopia Severity Based on Behavior and Genetic Factors: Determinanan Derajat Myopia Berdasarkan Perilaku dan Faktor Genetik

    General Background: Myopia is a leading global vision disorder affecting quality of life and projected to impact over half the world’s population by 2050. Specific Background: Among university students, behavioral factors such as prolonged near work and gadget use, alongside genetic predisposition, are recognized contributors, yet findings remain inconsistent, particularly in public health student populations. Knowledge Gap: Limited studies have specifically identified dominant determinants of myopia severity in public health students, a group expected to champion health promotion. Aims: This study aimed to determine the behavioral and genetic factors most strongly associated with myopia severity among Public Health students at Universitas Prima Indonesia. Results: Using a cross-sectional analytic design with 74 diagnosed myopic students, multivariate logistic regression revealed significant associations with reading distance <30 cm, gadget use >3 hours/day, and family history, with genetic factors showing the highest odds ratio (AOR = 8.567, p = 0.002). Gender was not significant. Novelty: The study uniquely combines primary and secondary data, integrates multivariate analysis, and aligns findings with the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion and SDG 3. Implications: Results support campus-based preventive strategies, including visual hygiene education, gadget use reduction, and early screening for genetically at-risk students.Highlight : Genetic factors are the most dominant determinant of the degree of myopia. Hours of gadget use and close reading increase the risk of myopia. Health promotion on campus is important for preventing the progression of myopia.     Abstract. General Background: The rapid changes in the modern era have intensified challenges in religious understanding, leaving communities vulnerable to misinterpretations and deviant teachings. Specific Background: In Indonesia, Majelis Taklim functions as an informal Islamic educational forum that plays a vital role in strengthening religious knowledge and fostering community bonds. However, limited research has examined its concrete contributions in rural contexts with specific reference to classical Islamic texts. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have highlighted the importance of Majelis Taklim in religious education and social development but have not thoroughly investigated the pedagogical methods, contextual challenges, and the depth of its role in shaping community religious understanding. Aims: This study seeks to analyze the role of Majelis Taklim Masjid Raya Al Hafiz in enhancing religious comprehension among the community of Desa Hamparan Perak, focusing on teaching methods, learning outcomes, and encountered obstacles. Results: Findings show that through lectures, dialogue, and kitab kuning–based learning, Majelis Taklim fosters deeper understanding of tauhid, fikih, and tasawuf, while also serving as a forum for spiritual reassurance. Challenges include time constraints, weather conditions, and diverse levels of comprehension. Novelty: This research uniquely integrates classical Islamic texts with contemporary community issues, offering a nuanced perspective on grassroots religious education.     General Background: In elementary science education, communication skills—such as expressing ideas, discussing, and reasoning based on evidence—are crucial for fostering 21st-century competencies. However, learning in many schools remains dominated by conventional teacher-centered methods, limiting student engagement and understanding of abstract concepts like ecosystems. Specific Background: Previous research on digital media in science learning has focused largely on cognitive gains, with less emphasis on integrating conceptual mastery with communication skill development. Knowledge Gap: Few studies have developed ecosystem learning media for elementary students that are simultaneously valid, practical, and effective in enhancing scientific communication. Aims: This study aimed to design, develop, and evaluate an instructional ecosystem video for fifth-grade students using the 4D model (define, design, develop, disseminate). Results: Validation showed high feasibility (92% media, 88% material), practicality (90.09%), and effectiveness, with learning outcomes increasing from 31.25 to 81.5 (n-gain = 0.73, high category). The media improved both problem-solving and communication skills through interactive, discussion-oriented activities. Novelty: The developed video integrates ecosystem concepts with structured communication training, tailored to the cognitive and engagement needs of elementary learners. Implications: This innovation offers a technology-based alternative resource supporting the Merdeka Curriculum’s vision, with potential for broader implementation through LMS integration and teacher training.Highlight : Educational videos facilitate understanding of ecosystem concepts.     Bibliometric Analysis: The Influence of Organizational Culture on Generation Z's Job Satisfaction Lifestyle

    In the era of globalization and rapid technological development, organizations are faced with the demands of rapid adaptation to maintain competitiveness, with organizational culture and employee commitment as key success factors. In Indonesia, Generation Z, which now dominates the workforce, has unique characteristics and high challenges in job satisfaction, which impact turnover intentions and organizational turnover. This study aims to examine the relationship between organizational culture, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction of Generation Z employees using a bibliometric analysis approach on related publications (2011-2023) collected through Publish or Perish software and analyzed with VOSViewer. The results show a significant upward trend in publications, a strong link between the topics of Generation Z, job satisfaction, and employee performance, and the important role of an adaptive and inclusive organizational culture in increasing the motivation and loyalty of Generation Z. This study provides a strong foundation for human resource management practices that are responsive to demographic dynamics and the challenges of the modern workplace.     Mathematics Learning Outcomes Through Puzzle-Based Student Teams Achievement Division: Hasil Pembelajaran Matematika Melalui Tim Siswa Berbasis Teka-teki dalam Pembagian Prestasi

    General Background: Mathematics is a fundamental discipline that supports technological advancement and cognitive development, yet it remains challenging for many elementary students due to its abstract nature. Specific Background: Observations at SDN 12/II Empelu revealed that Grade IV students showed low learning outcomes, with 47% failing to reach the minimum mastery criteria, largely due to conventional teacher-centered approaches and lack of engaging media. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have examined the effectiveness of cooperative learning models such as Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) or visual aids like puzzles separately, but few have integrated both strategies to address students’ conceptual and motivational difficulties in mathematics. Aims: This study aimed to improve mathematics learning processes and outcomes by combining the STAD model with puzzle media. Results: Conducted as Classroom Action Research in two cycles with 17 students, the findings indicated increased teacher performance (85% to 97%), student activeness (67% to 85%), and cognitive achievement (67% to 84%). Novelty: The research demonstrates the effectiveness of integrating STAD with puzzle media in mathematics learning within the Merdeka Curriculum, a combination not extensively studied in rural elementary contexts. Implications: This approach provides an innovative and practical strategy for fostering active, collaborative, and meaningful learning, offering a model that can be adapted for other mathematical topics and primary education settings.Highlight : STAD with puzzle media improved the learning process and student activeness. Teacher performance increased from good to very good between cycles. Student learning outcomes rose significantly from 67% to 84%.     Non-Genetic Factors Shaping Milk Composition in Early Lactation of Awassi Ewe

    General Background: Milk composition in sheep is influenced by various genetic and environmental factors. Specific Background: Among these, non-genetic contributors during early lactation remain underexplored, particularly in the Awassi breed reared in Iraq. Knowledge Gap: Limited data exist on how ewe-related non-genetic factors influence key milk constituents over time postpartum. Aims: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of ewe age, lamb sex, birth type, and body weight on milk fat, lactose, protein, and solid-not-fat (SNF) concentrations during early lactation in Awassi ewes. Results: In a 4 × 2 × 2 × 3 factorial design using 50 ewes, milk fat declined from day 10 (8.55%) to day 30 (7.23%) before rebounding, while lactose remained stable (~4.3%), and both SNF and protein increased gradually. Young ewes had higher fat, whereas four-year-olds had the least. Twin births were associated with lower fat but higher lactose and SNF. Heavier ewes showed elevated SNF at later stages. Lamb sex had no significant impact. Negative correlations were observed between fat and both lactose and SNF. Novelty: This study is among the first to quantify time-specific effects of multiple non-genetic factors on Awassi milk traits. Implications: These findings underscore the importance of managing ewe-specific variables to enhance milk quality in Awassi sheep husbandry. Specific background: Many students in junior secondary education experience decreased motivation due to monotonous instructional environments. Knowledge gap: Although moving class has been widely discussed, comprehensive synthesis of its role within school environment development and student motivation remains limited. Aim: This study synthesizes empirical findings on how school environments designed as moving class settings relate to student motivation. Results: The review of 25 empirical studies published between 2020 and 2025 reveals consistent motivational benefits, particularly in intrinsic interest, curiosity, active participation, and achievement orientation. Key contributing factors include flexible learning spaces, diverse resources, technology integration, and teacher-designed interactive activities. Challenges primarily involve time management, coordination among teachers, and infrastructure readiness. Specific Background: The Sentul Guidance Center (Sanggar Bimbingan Sentul) serves as a Community Learning Center (PKBM) under the Indonesian Embassy, providing literacy, numeracy, and religious habituation to children without formal school access. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have examined program effectiveness but rarely explored long-term sustainability, especially the interplay of institutional support, parental involvement, and spiritual practices. Aims: This study investigates the factors sustaining non-formal education, analyzing how institutional, pedagogical, and community elements ensure continuity despite limited resources. Results: Using a qualitative case study, findings reveal that sustainability depends on embassy-backed institutional support, adaptive teacher strategies, parental moral encouragement, and high student motivation. Religious activities, particularly the duha prayer, enhance discipline and learning focus.     General Background: Infertility remains a significant global health challenge, affecting approximately 60–80 million couples worldwide. Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) are widely employed to address infertility, and assessing oocyte viability is essential for ensuring the success of these techniques. Specific Background: The conventional trypan blue stain is commonly used for oocyte viability assessment, but concerns regarding its synthetic composition and potential cytotoxicity have prompted the search for safer alternatives. Knowledge Gap: Limited research has explored the use of natural pigments for oocyte viability testing, particularly those derived from antioxidant-rich sources like berries. Aims: This study aimed to develop and evaluate a novel natural pigment, named Khudhory Red, extracted from mulberry (Morus rubra), as an eco-friendly and safe alternative to trypan blue. Results: The pigment successfully differentiated viable and non-viable oocytes without causing cytotoxic effects, showing comparable performance to trypan blue in staining selectivity and clarity. Novelty: This is the first documented use of mulberry extract as a natural oocyte viability stain, demonstrating both safety and cost-effectiveness. Implications: The findings suggest Khudhory Red as a sustainable and biocompatible pigment for reproductive biology research, potentially replacing synthetic dyes in oocyte assessment.Highlight : The study successfully prepared a new pigment (Khudhory Red) to evaluate oocyte viability.
