Credibility and Market Fitness Drive Perceived Product Value in Iraqi Startups: Kredibilitas dan Kesesuaian Pasar Mempengaruhi Nilai Produk yang Dirasakan pada Startup Irak
General Background: In volatile and resource-constrained markets, marketing foresight has emerged as a strategic capability that enables firms to anticipate change and align offerings with consumer expectations. Specific Background: While extensively studied in developed economies, the role of marketing foresight in shaping perceived product value within emerging markets remains underexplored. Knowledge Gap: Limited empirical evidence exists on how the specific dimensions of marketing foresight—novelty, executability, credibility, market fitness, and commercial feasibility—affect customers’ value perception in Iraqi start-ups. Aims: This study investigates the impact of foresight dimensions on perceived product value, identifying which dimensions exert the greatest influence. Results: Using survey data from 125 employees in consumer-based start-ups in Baghdad and employing regression analysis, findings reveal that credibility and market fitness significantly enhance perceived product value, while novelty and executability show weaker effects, and commercial feasibility has only marginal influence. Novelty: By empirically disentangling the relative contributions of foresight dimensions in an unstable emerging-market context, this study challenges the assumption that novelty is the primary driver of value creation. Implications: The results highlight that in environments marked by uncertainty, trust and market alignment outweigh radical innovation, offering valuable insights for start-ups and policymakers to prioritize credibility, customer-centric alignment, and incremental innovation for sustainable competitiveness.

Improving Reading Comprehension Through Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition: Meningkatkan Pemahaman Membaca Melalui Pembelajaran Membaca dan Penulisan Terpadu Berbasis Kerja Sama
General background: Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill that significantly influences students’ academic success, yet many elementary learners still face challenges in developing it effectively. Specific background: In Indonesian primary schools, conventional teaching methods often limit students’ active engagement, thereby reducing opportunities for deeper comprehension. Knowledge gap: Limited empirical studies have examined the effectiveness of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) in enhancing reading comprehension within this context. Aims: This study aimed to investigate the impact of the CIRC approach on improving reading comprehension among fourth-grade students at SDN 100/II Muara Bungo during the odd semester of 2025/2026. Results: Conducted as a two-cycle classroom action research with 28 participants, findings showed progressive improvement: teacher activity increased from 85% in cycle I to 95% in cycle II, student activity from 64% to 96%, and reading comprehension achievement from 75% to 92%. Novelty: The study highlights the adaptability of CIRC in Indonesian elementary settings, demonstrating its ability to foster both active participation and comprehension. Implications: These findings suggest that integrating CIRC into reading instruction can significantly enhance learning outcomes, offering educators an effective pedagogical model for strengthening literacy skills in primary education.

Strategic Planning For Ensuring The Stability Of Commercial Banks' Resource Base: Perencanaan Strategis untuk Menjamin Stabilitas Dasar Sumber Daya Bank Komersial
General background: The stability of commercial banks’ resource bases is a cornerstone of financial system resilience, particularly amid global crises and rapid digitalization that accelerate deposit withdrawals. Specific background: In Uzbekistan, recent reforms, including the 2022–2026 Development Strategy, emphasize strengthening banks through stress-testing and macroprudential buffers. Knowledge gap: Existing models such as Altman Z-Score, Ohlson, CAMELS, and Kromonov provide partial insights but lack a unified, context-specific system to measure and strategically manage resource base sustainability. Aims: This study seeks to design and apply an indicative model that integrates deposit stability, liability stability, capital adequacy, loan potential, and investment potential into a composite index. Results: Application of the model to Uzbekistan’s commercial banks (2020–2024) produced an average stability index of 59.6%, with capital indicators exerting the strongest positive effect, while overall stability remained moderate. Novelty: The model employs geometric mean integration to balance multi-dimensional indicators, ensuring adaptability, comparability, and efficiency in data collection. Implications: The framework offers banks and regulators a practical tool for monitoring resource base resilience, aligning strategic planning with liquidity and profitability goals, and guiding targeted responses through stability-based strategy selection, thereby fostering long-term competitiveness in the banking sector.Highlight :

Developing Local Culture-Based Teaching Module to Enhance Children’s Cultural Appreciation
General background: Early childhood education plays a pivotal role in shaping cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development, with cultural integration enhancing meaning and identity. Specific background: In North Lombok, despite rich traditions, globalization has eroded cultural practices and language use among children, creating an urgent need for culturally grounded pedagogy. Knowledge gap: Previous studies emphasized cognitive aspects of local culture but lacked comprehensive teaching modules explicitly designed to foster cultural appreciation in early childhood. Aims: This study aimed to develop and validate a local culture-based teaching module for early childhood education in North Lombok. Results: Using a modified 3-D model (define, design, develop), the module was validated by experts (design 79%, language 87%, material 96%, practitioner 94%) and trialed with 92 students, achieving an average effectiveness score of 88%, categorized as “developing as expected.” Novelty: Unlike prior works, this module integrates multiple cultural elements (games, food, clothing, customs, language) into both print and digital formats, with comprehensive components (CP, TP, ATP, IKTP, RPPH, assessments, and LKS). Implications: The findings demonstrate that a culturally based module can effectively enhance children’s appreciation of local heritage, offering both practical tools for educators and theoretical contributions to culture-based early education

Oxidative Stress and Antioxidant Status in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): Stres Oksidatif dan Status Antioksidan pada Wanita dengan Sindrom Ovarium Polikistik (PCOS)
General Background: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent endocrine disorder linked to metabolic and reproductive disturbances, where oxidative stress has been increasingly implicated. Specific Background: Evidence suggests that an imbalance between reactive oxygen species (ROS) and antioxidant defenses may contribute to the pathophysiology of PCOS, but inconsistencies in findings highlight the need for further clarification. Knowledge Gap: Despite recognition of oxidative stress in PCOS, limited studies in Middle Eastern populations have comprehensively assessed both oxidative markers and antioxidant status in relation to clinical features. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate oxidative stress levels and antioxidant defenses in Iraqi women with PCOS compared to healthy controls, and to investigate correlations with clinical and biochemical parameters. Results: Findings revealed significantly elevated oxidative stress markers (MDA, NO, AOPP) and reduced antioxidant levels (SOD, GPx, CAT, TAC) in PCOS patients, with strong correlations between redox imbalance and BMI, LH/FSH ratio, hirsutism, and acne severity. Novelty: This study provides region-specific evidence of impaired antioxidant defense in PCOS, highlighting oxidative stress as a critical mediator of symptom severity. Implications: These results underscore the potential for antioxidant-based interventions as adjunct therapies in managing metabolic and reproductive complications of PCOS.Highlight :

Behavior Contract Group Counseling Reduces Student Gadget Addiction
General Background: Rapid digitalization in the 21st century has transformed human life, but excessive gadget use among adolescents has triggered health issues, reduced academic focus, and weakened social interaction. Specific Background: Observations at MTs Darul Ulum Budi Agung Medan revealed eighth-grade students displaying high levels of gadget addiction, highlighting an urgent need for effective counseling interventions. Knowledge Gap: Although group counseling is known to foster behavioral change, limited evidence exists on the specific efficacy of the Behavior Contract technique for reducing gadget addiction in Islamic junior high school settings. Aims: This study examined the effectiveness of group counseling using the Behavior Contract technique to reduce gadget addiction among students. Results: Using a quasi-experimental Non-Equivalent Control Group Design with 12 purposively sampled students, statistical analysis showed significant reductions in addiction in the experimental group (Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, p = 0.028; Mann-Whitney U Test, p = 0.004), unlike the control group. Novelty: This research introduces a structured Behavior Contract as a written agreement with reinforcement strategies, demonstrating measurable behavioral improvements in a religious school context. Implications: Findings suggest that integrating Behavior Contract-based group counseling into school guidance programs can effectively decrease gadget dependence, enhance discipline, and strengthen students’ learning focus and social interaction.

Current Sensors for Monitoring and Protecting Devices in the Alternating Current Traction Power Network
General Background: The reliable operation of AC traction power networks is increasingly critical as electrified railway lines expand. Specific Background: Existing monitoring systems in Uzbekistan rely solely on measurements at substations, leaving long contact networks unmonitored and vulnerable to voltage loss and interphase short circuits, especially in neutral sections. Knowledge Gap: Current protection methods only respond after an electric arc forms, lacking proactive detection and prevention mechanisms. Aims: This study aims to design and test an autonomous current sensor capable of real-time current monitoring and early detection of abnormal conditions to prevent arc formation in neutral sections. Results: A functional sensor prototype was developed using a microcontroller-based design that converts catenary current to a unipolar signal, calculates root mean square (RMS) values, and transmits data wirelessly via ESP-NOW. Field tests on an operating traction network demonstrated reliable current measurement but revealed limitations in wireless communication reliability and solar-powered autonomy. Novelty: The system integrates low-cost components, high-accuracy analog-to-digital conversion, and autonomous solar power with proactive disconnection capabilities, representing a new approach to early fault prevention in traction networks. Implications: With improvements in communication and power supply, the proposed sensor offers a scalable solution for enhancing safety and operational efficiency in modern railway electrification systems.

Pap Smear Screening for Abnormal Cervix and Clinical Correlation
General Background: Cervical cancer remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among women worldwide, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where early detection is limited. Specific Background: The Papanicolaou (Pap) smear offers a simple, safe, and cost-effective screening method to identify precancerous, malignant, and benign cervical lesions, yet its application in Iraq is underutilized. Knowledge Gap: Despite global evidence supporting Pap smear screening, there is limited data correlating cytological findings with clinical profiles among Iraqi women. Aims: This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of abnormal Pap smear results and their clinical correlations in women attending Basrah Teaching Hospital. Results: In a cross-sectional analysis of 63 women aged 21–60 years, the mean age was 38.1 years; acute cervicitis was the most common finding (74.6%), followed by ASCUS (9.5%), LSIL (6.3%), and cervical atrophy (4.8%). Marital status showed a significant association with abnormal cytology (p < 0.05). Novelty: This research provides region-specific insights into the spectrum of cervical cytological abnormalities and highlights demographic and clinical predictors in an Iraqi cohort. Implications: Findings underscore the necessity of implementing routine Pap smear screening and educational initiatives to reduce cervical cancer incidence and improve women’s health outcomes in resource-limited settings

Green Marketing Mix Drives Customer Loyalty Amid Low Environmental Awareness: Campuran Pemasaran Hijau Meningkatkan Loyalitas Pelanggan di Tengah Rendahnya Kesadaran Lingkungan
General Background: Environmental degradation from plastic waste has intensified global attention on sustainability, prompting companies to adopt eco-conscious business practices. Specific Background: In Indonesia, urban coffee shop industries increasingly integrate green strategies to attract environmentally aware consumers. However, the direct influence of environmental awareness and the green marketing mix on customer loyalty remains underexplored, particularly among local coffee brands. Knowledge Gap: Prior research focused primarily on retail and fast-food sectors, leaving a gap in understanding how sustainability-driven marketing impacts loyalty in local coffee businesses. Aims: This study investigates the effect of environmental awareness and the green marketing mix on customer loyalty at Fore Coffee MERR Surabaya. Results: Using a quantitative approach with 100 respondents and multiple linear regression analysis, findings reveal that both variables jointly have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty (R² = 0.483), though only the green marketing mix shows a significant partial effect (β = 0.764, p < 0.001). Novelty: This study extends green marketing literature by evidencing its role as a primary driver of loyalty in sustainable coffee businesses, despite limited environmental awareness influence. Implications: The results highlight the importance of consistent green marketing strategies and sustainability communication to strengthen long-term customer engagement and loyalty.

Restoration Of Minor Defects in the Dental Row Using Prosthetics.
General Background: Restoration of minor defects in the dental row is a critical concern in modern prosthodontics as such defects impair both function and aesthetics. Specific Background: With advances in material science, zirconia-based and other metal-free restorations have emerged as superior alternatives to traditional metal-ceramic systems due to their enhanced biocompatibility, mechanical strength, and optical properties. Knowledge Gap: However, there remains limited clinical evidence concerning the biological and functional efficacy of zirconia-based prostheses in managing small-scale dental defects, particularly regarding periodontal responses and long-term stability. Aims: This study aimed to evaluate the clinical performance, marginal adaptation, periodontal health, and aesthetic outcomes of zirconia-based restorations compared with press-ceramic and metal-ceramic systems. Results: Findings revealed that zirconia restorations achieved 100% Alpha ratings for marginal adaptation, color stability, and absence of postoperative sensitivity, alongside stable Papillary Bleeding Index (PBI) and Sillness-Loe scores over 12 months, indicating superior tissue compatibility. Novelty: The study introduced a CAD/CAM-assisted, minimally invasive restorative approach that integrates digital precision with biological harmony. Implications: These results substantiate zirconia-based prosthetics as a biologically and functionally optimal solution for minor dental defects, providing a foundation for patient-specific, digitally guided protocols in modern prosthodontic rehabilitation.Highlight :
