Peningkatan Kesadaran dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pesisir Terhadap Lingkungan di Desa Persiapan Empol, Kecamatan Sekotong, Kabupaten Lombok Barat
The waste problem along the coast of Persiapan Empol Village poses a serious threat to the environment and community welfare, primarily due to household, market, and daily waste that is often carelessly disposed of into the river. In response, the Thematic Community Service Team from Universitas Mataram implemented a program to raise community awareness about waste management and empower them to transform waste into environmentally and economically beneficial products. This activity aims to increase public awareness of environmental issues, particularly waste management. The methods used include socialization, practical training, and community empowerment, focusing on enhancing community participation. As a result, residents are now more aware of the importance of waste management, and the village administration has provided land for a temporary disposal site (TPS) and urged residents not to dispose of waste in the river. This program demonstrates positive progress in efforts to preserve the coastal environment
Peran Mahasiswa Asistensi Mengajar pada Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler English Club di SMA Negeri 2 Gerung
Ekstrakurikuler english club adalah suatu kegiatan di luar jam sekolah yang dilakukan untuk mengasah kemampuan siswa dalam konteks berbahasa inggris. Pembinaan Ekstrakurikuler English Club dilakukan mahasiswa asistensi mengajar untuk memenuhi salah satu kegiatan yang terdapat dalam program asistensi mengajar, yang mewadahi mahasiswa agar memperoleh pengalaman lebih banyak dalam bidang ekstrakurikuler. Tujuan dari kegiatan ekstrakurikuler English Club ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa di SMAN 2 Gerung dalam berbahasa Inggris. Ekstrakurikuler English Club diikuti oleh 8 orang siswa yang kemudian dilakukan 1 kali pertemuan dalam 1 minggu. Dari kegitaan ini dapat terlihat hasil yaitu meningkatnya kepercayaan diri siswa dalam berbicara bahasa inggris didepan teman sebayanya dan keberanian dalam berbicara dan menjawab soal serta menambah jumlah kosakata yang dimiliki oleh siswa
Efektivitas Penambahan Tablet Tambah Darah Pada Peningkatan Nilai Hemoglobin Siswi SMPN 23 Mataram
Background: Anemia is a disease caused by low hemoglobin levels. Anemia in adolescent girls is a problem that must be addressed immediately, because anemia in adolescent girls is at risk of becoming anemia in pregnant women. Pregnant women who suffer from anemia are not only at risk of giving birth to babies with low birth weight (LBW), but also have the potential to experience complications during pregnancy and childbirth, even death for the mother and child. Objective: To determine hemoglobin levels in teenage students of SMPN 23 Mataram who consume blood supplement tablets. Method: The research method used was cross sectional analytical with research procedures, namely that the researcher carried out direct collection and examination of a sample of respondents who had consumed blood supplement tablets. Results: The overall results obtained from 30 (100%) samples were 4 (15%) samples that were indicated as positive for anemia and the remaining 26 (85%) samples were declared negative for anemia. Conclusion: From the percentage of results obtained, it is said that administering blood supplement tablets which are consumed regularly in accordance with applicable procedures is indicated to be successful in increasing hemoglobin levels in the blood of female students at SMPN 23 Mataram
Analisis Karakteristik Morfologi dan Pola Pertumbuhan Ikan Uceng Nemacheilus fasciatus (Valenciennes, 1842) pada Sungai Setail, Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur
Indonesia's. Setail River is one of the longest rivers in Banyuwangi Regency. Setail River has high potential for fishery biodiversity. One of the fish that is often found in Setail River is Barred loach or known locally as Uceng Fish (Nemacheilus fasciatus). The purpose of this study was to determine the morphological characteristics and determine the relationship between length, weight and condition of Uceng fish in Setail River. Observation of color patterns and special characteristics of sample fish morphologically Nemacheilus fasciatus with characteristics including Having a brown body color, a small elongated body (fusiform). On the body there is a longitudinal black spot pattern, a dorsal pattern resembling a saddle, a homocercal tail fin type, an emarginate tail morphology (slightly concave). The type of mouth is subterminal inferior and has 3 pairs of barbels. Meristic observations of uceng fish have pectoral fins, pelvic fins, dorsal fins, tail fins and anal fins. In this study, an analysis of the relationship between length and weight showed that the growth pattern of the uceng fish was negative allometric and the condition factor obtained the range of condition factor values for male uceng fish during the study at each station for male uceng fish 0.68-1.35 and female uceng fish 0.68-1.40.Sungai Setail merupakan salah satu sungai terpanjang di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Sungai Setail memiliki panjang 73,35 km. Ikan uceng (Nemacheilus fasciatus) tergolong ke dalam famili Balitoridae dan genus Nemacheilus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis karakteristik morfometrik, pola pertumbuhan, dan faktor kodisi ikan uceng di Sungai Setail. Metodologi penelitiannya adalah survei dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan selama 4 bulan, yaitu November 2023 sampai Februari 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh ikan keting yang ditangkap di pada 5 stasiun di Sungai Setail menunjukkan ciri morfologi, meristik dan morfometrik yang sama yang menujukkan ikan uceng tersebut merupakan spesies Nemacheilus fasciatus. Pola pertumbuhan adalah allometrik negatif (b<3) yaitu pertumbuhan panjang lebih cepat dari pertumbuhan berat. Rata-rata faktor kondisi kedua sungai tersebut adalah 1. Kualitas air pada Sungai Setail di 5 staiun menujukkan masih sesuai dengan standar baku mutu air Sungai kelas I dan II berdasarkan PP No. 22 Tahun 2021
Evaluation of the Influence of Social and Biological Factors on the Success of Exclusive Breastfeeding and Increased Baby Weight in Jakarta, West Java and Banten
Exclusive breastfeeding is crucial for the health and development of babies, reducing the risk of diseases such as respiratory infections, diarrhea, malnutrition, and even death. This study aims to evaluate the impact of social and biological factors on the success of exclusive breastfeeding and weight gain in babies in Jakarta and Banten. Using an analytical observational design with a case-control approach, 60 babies were involved (30 exclusively breastfed, 30 not). Chi-square analysis revealed significant influences on exclusive breastfeeding success from family knowledge (p=0.020), breastfeeding beliefs/culture in Jakarta (p=0.009), maternal nutrition (p=0.000), breastfeeding patterns (p=0.018), family support (p=0.000), and baby weight gain (p=0.000). However, beliefs/culture in Lebak Banten (p=0.429) and West Java (p=0.605) had no significant effect. These results highlight the importance of family support, proper maternal nutrition, and effective breastfeeding practices for exclusive breastfeeding success. Exclusive breastfeeding ensures optimal nutrition, boosts immunity, supports cognitive development, and lowers the risk of infant mortality and health complications
The Markers of Body Size and Shape of Bali Cattle and its Crosses with Exotic Bulls
One of the genetic improvement efforts to improve the performance of Bali cattle offspring production is crossbreeding Bali cattle with exotic bulls. This study aimed to identify markers of body size and shape of Bali cattle and its crosses with exotic bulls using principal component analysis. The materials used in this study were 91 heads of Bali, Simbal, Brahmbal, Limbal, and Pobal cattle, consisting of 34 males and 57 females. The variables observed were body measurements (morphometrics) consisting of shoulder height, body length, chest circumference, chest depth, chest width, hip height, and hip width. Data analysis used Principal Component Analysis in the Minitab Release 19 statistical application. The results showed that Bali, Simbal, Brahmbal, Limbal, and Pobal male cattle had the same body size markers, namely chest circumference. The body shape markers of male cattle are hip height for Bali cattle, chest length for Simbal and Pobal cattle, chest depth for Brahmbal cattle, and hip width for Limbal cattle. The body shape markers in female cattle are body length for Bali, Simbal, Brahmbal, and Pobal cattle, and hip height for Limbal cattle. These body size and shape markers have a strong correlation with the first principal component and the second principal component, so they can be used as selection criteria to improve the production performance of Bali and Bali crossbred cattle
Development of Thematic Learning Using the Field-Trip Method Assisted by the Surrounding Environment to Improve Students' Scientific Literacy Abilities
The purpose of this study is to produce learning tools with a field-trip learning method assisted by the surrounding environment to improve students' scientific literacy skills. The learning tool developed in this class VI material has the theme of saving living things with the subtheme of plants, friends. Development device learning refers to the Borg & Gall model which consists of 7 steps. Thematic learning tools with the field-trip method assisted by the surrounding environment were validated by 3 expert validators in the fields of science, language and instructional design learning so that results that met the following valid success criteria were obtained: Syllabus 4.48 (very good category), RPP 3.95 (good category), student teaching materials 3.81 (good category), and LKS 4.35 (very good category). The results of the effectiveness test of the learning tool were carried out on grade VI students of SDN Dampyak 02, resulting in an increase in scientific literacy skills of 4.14 (good category). Effectiveness was also obtained when teachers managed learning by 4.56 (very good category). The level of practicality of the field trip method during learning was 4.14 (good category), 4.30 (very good category). Thus, the overall learning tools of the field trip method developed are valid, effective, and practical
The Prospects and Challenges of STEM-PjBL with Design Thinking Strategies in Enhancing Students' Creativity and Entrepreneurial Thinking in the Context of Plastic Waste Recycling: Teachers' Perspectives
This STEM education a new trend of learning innovation. However, there are still many students who have not received integrated STEM education that focuses on developing 21st century skills. So that efforts to create learning innovations with a STEM approach become a challenge for teachers at every level of education, including in elementary schools. This study aims to explore teachers' views and challenges of integrated STEM learning Projecj-Based Learning (PjBL) with Design Thinking strategy and its potential in stimulating creative thinking and entrepreneurship. This study used the Cross-Sectional Survey methodology Explanatory Mixed Method design that has involved 250 elementary school teachers in Lampung Province. The results showed that most elementary school teachers do not have sufficient knowledge on how to develop STEM-PjBL learning innovation scenarios, especially in integrating Design thinking strategies in an effort to stimulate students' creative thinking and entrepreneurial skills. However, they believe that STEM-PjBL integrated with Design Thinking will provide learning experiences that stimulate students to think (minds-on) and be actively involved in project completion (hands-on). In addition, they also think that STEM-PjBL has the potential to prepare students to have a number of creative spaces and habituation in the classroom, especially in recycling plastic waste.Pendidikan STEM ini menjadi tren baru dalam inovasi pembelajaran. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang belum mendapatkan pendidikan STEM terintegrasi yang berfokus pada pengembangan keterampilan abad 21. Sehingga upaya menciptakan inovasi pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEM menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi para guru di setiap jenjang pendidikan, termasuk di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pandangan dan tantangan guru terhadap pembelajaran STEM terintegrasi Projecj-Based Learning (PjBL) dengan strategi Design Thinking dan potensinya dalam menstimulasi berpikir kreatif dan kewirausahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Cross-Sectional Survey dengan desain Explanatory Mixed Method yang melibatkan 250 guru SD di Provinsi Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar guru sekolah dasar tidak memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup tentang bagaimana mengembangkan skenario inovasi pembelajaran STEM-PjBL, terutama dalam mengintegrasikan strategi berpikir desain dalam upaya untuk menstimulasi kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kewirausahaan siswa. Namun, mereka percaya bahwa STEM-PjBL yang diintegrasikan dengan Design Thinking akan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang merangsang siswa untuk berpikir (minds-on) dan terlibat secara aktif dalam penyelesaian proyek (hands-on). Selain itu, mereka juga berpendapat bahwa STEM-PjBL memiliki potensi untuk mempersiapkan siswa agar memiliki sejumlah ruang kreatif dan pembiasaan di dalam kelas, terutama dalam mendaur ulang sampah plastik
PENGEMBANGAN E-MODUL PEMBELAJARAN PjBL - STEM LEARNING DENGAN STRATEGI JIGSAW PADA MATERI GERAK DAN GAYA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS DAN KETERAMPILAN BERKOMUNIKASI SISWA KELAS VII.
This research aims to create a PjBL-STEM-based learning e-module that can improve student creativity and communication skills on motion and force materials. This research method uses Research and Development (R&D), ADDIE design which consists of 5 stages (Analiysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Class VII students were involved as research subjects taken with purposive sampling technique. Research data were collected through creativity test, performance test, student response questionnaire and observation sheet. Data processing techniques for the improvement of creative thinking and communication skills used paired sample t-test and then N-Gain test. The results of the analysis showed that after using the PjBL-STEM-based learning e-module there was a significant increase in creative thinking with an N-Gain value of 60% in the medium category and an N- Gain value of 61% for improving communication skills. Student testing of creative products based on display criteria, functional prototypes and technological accommodations fall into the good category. In addition, students gave a positive response to the learning e-module of 47.79% for very good criteria and 45.6% for good criteria. Thus, the PjBL-STEM-based learning e-module with Jigsaw strategy can be used in science learning in grade VII to improve students' creativity and communication skills
The Effect of Applying the Archerys ID Model Instructional Design on Moral Character, Ethics, and Learning Performance of High School Students in Physics Learning
Academic dishonesty and students' inability to contextualize learning, particularly in physics, contribute to poor understanding. This study investigates the impact of the Archerys ID Model on students' moral character, ethics, and learning performance in physics. The model is expected to enhance moral and ethical values while improving learning performance compared to conventional methods. A quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group was used, involving two classes: an experimental class using the Archerys ID Model and a control class using traditional methods. Pretests and posttests measured changes in moral character, ethics, and learning performance, and data were analyzed using an Independent T-Test. The independent T-Test analysis shows that the Archerys ID Model significantly enhances students' moral character, ethics, and learning performance in physics for grade XI at SMAN 12 Padang, with significance values of 0.032, 0.023, and 0.031, respectively. These findings indicate that the Archerys ID Model is more effective than the TPACK instructional design model in fostering character and academic outcomes
