Pendekatan Life Cycle Assessment untuk Mengendalikan Dampak Pemeliharaan Vegetasi di Taman Kota 1 Bumi Serpong Damai, Kota Tangerang Selatan
Maintaining vegetation can contribute to environmental impacts by producing exhaust gases and chemical residues. Therefore, to control it, it is necessary to trace impacts using the life cycle assessment approach. The aim of this research is to inventory inputs and outputs, calculate the magnitude of the impacts caused, and formulate recommendations scenarios for controlling environmental impacts from maintaining vegetation in City Park 1 BSD. Vegetation maintenance stages are identified based on the type of input and amount of output which is calculated using the basic formula: Emissions = activity data x emission factor. Vegetation maintenance has inputs in the form of petrol, diesel, electrical energy, manure, pearl fertilizer, curacron, furadan, dry leaves, and felled trees, while the output produced is CO2, N2O, CH4, SO2, NO2, NO3, NH3, and PO43-. Acidification emissions resulting have the highest value with hotspots in the form of electricity use and watering tankers. Impact control that can be done is reducing the use of watering tankers, reducing the use of blower machines, and composting dry leaves resulting from sweeping. The life cycle assessment approach can be used as a learning resource to strengthen environmental science educatio
Effect of Ragi Concentration on the Physical and Chemical Characteristics of Kepok Banana Tape (Musa paradisiaca L.)
Banana tape is one of the innovations in processing bananas into new processed products that can be enjoyed by the community, which is almost the same as making tape in general. The purpose of this study was to determine the right variation of ragi concentration on the physical and chemical characteristics of kepok banana tape. This type of research is experimental with the Completely Randomized Design (RAL) method with variations in ragi concentration, namely 0.5 grams, 1 gram, 1.5 grams, 2 grams and 2.5 grams with a fermetation time of 3 days. The parameters of this study include physical analysis (taste, flavor, color and texture) and chemical analysis (glucose, alcohol and pH). The results showed that ragi concentration of 0.5 gram produced the best organoleptic test of taste 3.75, aroma 3.4, color 3.6 and texture 3.45. Chemical tests showed that a ragi concentration of 1.5 grams produced the best results in glucose levels of 7.9%, alcohol 1.24% and pH 4.41. This study has the potential to be used as a contextual chemistry learning medium, particularly in understanding fermentation processes, pH changes, and biochemical transformations in everyday food products
The Impact of Problem-Based Learning on Students' Problem-Solving Skills and Learning Motivation: A Perspective on Learning Styles
Problem-solving ability and learning motivation are essential in chemistry learning, yet often overlooked in conventional instruction. This study investigates the effects of problem-based learning (PBL) versus discovery learning on students’ problem-solving ability and motivation, while also examining the influence of learning styles. Using a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design, XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 9 Bengkulu City were assigned to either a PBL or discovery learning group. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, and learning style inventories, and analyzed using MANOVA. Results indicated no significant difference between the two models in improving problem-solving ability or motivation. However, learning styles significantly affected both outcomes, with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners performing differently. PBL contributed modestly to both variables (2.4% for problem-solving, 0.4% for motivation), and no interaction effect with learning styles was found. These findings highlight the need to align teaching strategies with students' learning styles to support more effective learning. The study offers practical implications for fostering adaptive instruction in chemistry classrooms and enhancing scientific literacy

Cognitive Dissonance-Based Smoking Cessation: Comparing Individual Versus Group Interventions Among University Students
College students' smoking habits reveal cognitive dissonance between their understanding of the risks of smoking and their choice to keep on smoking. This research is to assess the efficacy of cognitive dissonance-based therapies and contrast individual with group strategies in lowering smoking habit in college students. Conducted on 150 smoking college students in Bangkinang City, this research used a randomized controlled trial approach with three parallel groups. Participants were randomly allocated to control (n=50), group intervention (n=50), or individual intervention (n=50). Eight weekly sessions meant to tackle cognitive dissonance made up the intervention. At six-month follow-up, the main result was biochemically confirmed 7-day abstinence. Other results included ongoing abstinence, lower cigarette use, shifts in cognitive dissonance, and self-efficacy. Of the individual group, 38.0%, of the group group, 32.0%, and of the control, 12.0% (p<0.05), this research found 7-day abstinence. Compared to the control, both treatments greatly raised the likelihood of abstinence (individual: OR=4.50, 95% CI:1.65-12.27; group: OR=3.45, 95% CI:1.24-9.62). The two intervention strategies showed no notable change (p=0.519). Changes in cognitive dissonance accounted for 42.1% of the effect of the individual intervention and 38.7% of the impact of the group intervention. While its efficacy was similar to the individual approach, the group intervention (IDR1,875,000 per abstinence) was more efficient than the individual intervention (IDR2,150,000) according to cost-effectiveness analysis. Although its efficacy was similar to the individual approach, the group intervention (IDR1,875,000 per abstinence) was more efficient than the individual intervention (IDR2,150,000). Cognitive dissonance-based interventions were successful in raising abstinence in college smokers; the group approach was more cost-effective. These results back up the use of cognitive dissonance-based treatments in campus smoking cessation programs

Pengeloaan Sampah Organik Menjadi Pupuk Kompos Di Desa Lepak Kabupaten Lombok Timur
