Sosialisasi Peningkatan Nilai Tambah Produk Hortikultura Over Supply di Desa Sembalun Timba Gading
Sembalun Timba Gading is a village located at the foot of Mount Rinjani. This village has an agroclimate that is suitable for cultivating horticultural crops and is a center for vegetable and fruit production in East Lombok. Abundant production during the harvest season causes prices to drop drastically, while these products spoil quickly so they cannot be stored for long. This results in losses for farmers. Therefore, processing of agricultural products is needed, especially horticulture, which can increase the shelf life and selling value of the product. On the other hand, the lack of knowledge and skills of farmers causes horticultural products to be sold as fresh products. Farmers' knowledge and skills about processing horticultural products need to be improved through socialization and training. The initial step in increasing knowledge is needed through socialization activities. The Mataram University community service team carried out community service in the form of socialization of increasing the added value of oversupply horticultural products in Sembalun Timba Gading Village. The target partners are the Ndak Kuta Farmer Group and the Kali Empit Farmer Group which are engaged in the cultivation of horticultural and plantation crops. The method used in this socialization activity is counseling with material presentation by resource persons and continued with a discussion session. The socialization activity went smoothly. Participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity because they considered the material provided to be very useful for improving the quality of agricultural products and increasing the selling value of products. The understanding of target partners about horticultural product processing increased as evidenced by the active participants asking questions and the results of group discussion assignments which resulted in four types of product processing that were decided to be pursued, namely making mashed potato chips, making chili flour, making chili sauce, and making shallot oleoresin
Improving Collaboration Skills, Critical Thinking, and Science Learning Achievement in Grade VII through Discovery Learning with TarL Approach
Collaboration skills, critical thinking skills, and learning achievement are important for every student to have. However, the results of the researcher's observation in class VII D SMP N 4 Depok showed that collaboration skills, critical thinking, and science learning achievement were still low. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the improvement of collaboration skills, critical thinking skills, and learning achievement of students in class VII D SMP N 4 Depok after learning the Discovery Learning model with TarL approach on Earth and Solar System material. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) model of Kemmis & Mc Taggart with two cycles consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection in each cycle. The subjects in this study were students of class VII D SMP N 4 Depok. Data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Data analysis of questionnaire and test results used descriptive statistics and n-gain test. The results obtained showed that there was an increase in cycle 1 to cycle 2 in the medium category, namely 1) collaboration skills with N Gain 0.413; 2) critical thinking skills with N Gain 0.413. Critical thinking ability with N Gain 0.474; 3) Learning achievement with N Gain 0.532. Thus, the application of Discovery Learning with TarL Approach is effective to improve collaboration skills, critical thinking skills, and learning achievement
Pengaruh Media Film "Pada Zaman Dahulu" Terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Unsur Intrinsik Dongeng Siswa Kelas II Sekolah Dasar
Latar belakang penelitian meliputi keterampilan menulis unsur intrinsik siswa, guru mengalami kebingungan dalam memilih media yang sesuai sehingga materi yang diajarkan sulit dipahami siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh media film Pada Zaman Dahulu terhadap keterampilan menulis unsur intrinsik dongeng siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan Quasi Eksperiment Design bentuk Posttest Only Control. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN Sedati Gede 2 berjumlah 94 siswa, menggunakan sampel yaitu kelas II-B berjumlah 32 siswa dan II-C berjumlah 32 siswa. Dengan teknik sampling yaitu Cluster Random Sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji hipotesis independen sampel t-test. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media film Pada Zaman Dahulu memiliki pengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis unsur intrinsik dongeng siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Hasil tersebut dapat dilihat pada perbedaan hasil tes kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Uji Independent Sampel T-test yang menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) dengan nilai 0,000 < 0,05 maka dengan demikian ditolak dan diterima artinya terdapat pengaruh pada media film Pada Zaman Dahulu terhadap keterampilan menulis unsur intrinsik dongeng siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar
Pengaruh Model RADEC (Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain-Create) Terhadap Literasi Sains Dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas IV SD Inpres Bollangi 1
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi digital berbasis youtube terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis eksperimen. Desain peneliian true experimental design dengan tipe pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu tes dan angket yang disebarkan kepada 62 siswa, Adapun pengambilan sampel yaitu sampel jenuh seluruh poplasi siswa kelas VII (62 siswa) diambil dan dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kolerasi yang signitifikan (kuat) antara literasi digital berbasis youtube dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa SMP Negeri 28 Makassar. Besarnya pengaruh literasi digital berbasis youtube terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 28 Makassar sesbesar 61,4% sedangkan sisanya 38.6% dipengaruhi factor lain. Adapun kemampuan literasi digital berbasis youtube siswa diantaranya dalam kategori Sangat Tinggi 28,13%, kategori Tinggi 53,125%, kategori Rendah 15,625%, kategori Sangat Rendah 3,125%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa literasi digital berbasis youtube berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 28 Makassar
Effectiveness of Android-Based Learning Media “7 Minutes Workout” on the Motivation and Activity of Junior High School Students
This study examines how the "7 Minutes Workout" application affects students' motivation and activity levels at SMP Negeri 1 Semboro, Jember Regency. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a control group and an intervention group. The intervention group used the application for structured exercise, while the control group followed the traditional learning method. Student activity data were collected using ATA (Total Active Activity) and SDE (Effective Duration Session) metrics and analyzed using the Friedman test to identify significant differences across time. The results showed that the application significantly increased motivation and participation in physical activity among students in the intervention group, while the control group showed no increase. These results support the idea of the effectiveness of using ICT learning media on a material that focuses on students' active involvement in learning. This study suggests the use of fitness applications in the curriculum to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for students
Integrating E-Module with Project Based Learning (PjBL): a Strategy to Improve Students' Collaboration Abilities and Scientific Literacy
This study explores the integration of E-Modules with Project-Based Learning (PjBL) as a strategy to enhance student collaboration and scientific literacy. The research follows the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model and was conducted in one of the high schools in Central Java, involving limited trials and extensive trials (5 and 31) students. The developed E-Module was validated by experts, achieving an average score of 3.50 in both material and media evaluation, categorizing it as valid. The practicality assessment of the E-Module obtained 84.47% with a very practical category. Observations of collaboration skills yielded an 80.5% practicality score. The module's effectiveness was evident in the significant improvement of students' collaboration skills (N-Gain = 0.8, high category) and scientific literacy (N-Gain = 0.74, high category). These findings highlight the potential of PjBL-based E-Modules as an effective tool for improving student engagement, collaboration, and scientific literacy in measurement-related learning. The results suggest that this approach can be replicated or expanded to other topics to further enhance student-centered learning
Implementing and Managing the Teaching Factory Learning Model at Vocational Schools
This research explores the implementation and management of the teaching factory (TEFA) models at Vocational High School (SMK) St. Mikael, Surakarta, Indonesia. The research focuses on the management of production units owned by the school and how the school collaborated in industrial cooperation with relevant enterprises. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed, collecting data through documentation, interviews, and observation. The findings reveal that the teaching factory is implemented through block schedules and job sheets to enhance student skills, with professional management of the production unit. Additionally, the industrial cooperation bridged by the school and its business partners has involved apprenticeships, product marketing, worker deployment, and industrial work visits. Among these four programs, apprenticeships are believed to be the most effective in enhancing students' vocational competencies. Implementing the TEFA model has assisted the school in equipping its students with competencies aligned with the industrial demands for qualified and competent workers. The study suggests that other vocational schools implementing TEFA might consider managing their production unit by employing block schedules and job sheets in the production unit, and building industrial partnerships to address the demand of the current industry trends
In Vivo Identification of the Iron-Chelating Potential of Kwini Mango (Mangifera odorata Griff) Leaf Extract in Iron Overload Cases
Iron overload (IO) is a condition characterized by an abnormal accumulation of iron in the body, which affects vital organs such as the liver, heart, pancreas, and endocrine tissues. Kwini mango (Mangifera odorata Griff) leaves, which contain mangiferin (a phenolic compound), have the ability to chelate Fe3+ by promoting the oxidation of Fe2+, potentially lowering blood iron levels. This study aimed to explore the potential of kwini mango leaf extract (KMLE) as an in vivo iron chelator for treating IO, using blood samples from an IO patient. The in vivo study assessed the effects of KMLE on ferritin, SGPT, SGOT, BUN, creatinine, and serum hematology levels in blood samples. Additionally, liver and kidney histopathology were examined as markers of iron chelation. The extract's standardization was performed to determine the mangiferin content in KMLE. The in vivo results showed a decrease in ferritin, SGPT, SGOT, BUN, creatinine, and hematological parameters. Comparisons between the KMLE group, deferoxamine group, and mangiferin group indicated a significant reduction in ferritin levels in both the deferoxamine and mangiferin groups when compared to the KMLE group at doses of 50 mg/200 g BW and 100 mg/200 g BW (Asym. Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05). A similar pattern was observed for reductions in SGPT, SGOT, BUN, and creatinine levels at the same doses (Asym. Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05). No significant difference was observed in the KMLE group at a dose of 200 mg/200 g BW (Asym. Sig. (2-tailed) > 0.05). KMLE demonstrates the potential to reduce serum ferritin, SGOT, SGPT, BUN, creatinine, and improve liver histopathology, suggesting its effectiveness as an iron chelator for treating IO
Production Planning for Spinach, Kale, and Hydroponic Pakchoi Using Linear Programming
Vegetable consumption has been on the rise in 2024, and projections suggest that by 2030, it will reach 17.48 million tons, equivalent to 62.4 kg per capita per year. This growing demand presents a valuable opportunity for 13,019 individual agricultural businesses engaged in urban farming. One of the key advantages of hydroponic vegetables is their freshness, as they are sold along with the hydroponic installation itself. However, producing hydroponic spinach, kale, and pakchoy comes with challenges, especially for companies looking to optimize production costs. This study aims to identify the best production combination to minimize expenses. Using linear programming analysis through the LINDO application, this study examines decision variables—hydroponic spinach (H1), kale (H2), and pakchoy (H3)—with constraints based on both internal factors (seeds, nutrients, growing media, planting holes, and labor) and external factors (customer demand). The results indicate a 2.14% cost reduction, amounting to Rp. 8,148,745, with an optimal production mix of 2,696 units of hydroponic spinach, 2,101 units of hydroponic kale, and 2,448 units of hydroponic pakchoy. To further improve cost efficiency, PT Sarindah Wicaksana is advised to carefully allocate resources based on optimal demand and implement a well-structured production plan
Simulasi Penerapan Media Pembelajaran Real Untuk Mengembangkan Kreativitas Guru di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat
Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, membuka peluang bagi pengembangan media pembelajaran yang lebih variatif dan interaktif. Namun, banyak guru di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat Lombok Tengah masih menghadapi tantangan dalam mengoptimalkan media pembelajaran berbasis real (konvensional). Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang berupa simulasi penerapan media pembelajaran real dan virtual kepada guru-guru di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan metode pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, efektif, dan menarik. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan berbasis simulasi, yang melibatkan presentasi materi, diskusi interaktif, dan praktik langsung penggunaan media pembelajaran. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengamati perubahan kreativitas dan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran yang baru. Hasil yang diharapkan dari pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik materi dan siswa, serta menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih dinamis dan menyenangkan. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan tercipta peningkatan kualitas pengajaran yang pada akhirnya dapat memajukan mutu pendidikan di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kreativitas guru di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat terhadap penerapan media pembelajaran real. Selain itu, pihak sekolah menunjukkan dukungan aktif dengan menyediakan pembelajaran inovatif lanjutan sebagai tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini
