Simulasi Efek Konduktivitas Hidrolik pada Intrusi Air Laut
This research has been conducted with the aim of simulating the process of seawater intrusion using SEAWAT software and assessing the factors causing seawater intrusion. In this simulation, variations in hydraulic conductivity and aquifer material types are explored to understand their impact on the distribution of water levels. The simulation results are presented in the form of simulated concentration plots used to visualize concentration distribution with color gradients reflecting changes in concentration values. Additionally, the direction of groundwater flow is represented by arrows, aiding in understanding the movement patterns of dissolved substances within the aquifer. Simulated head plots are created using colors and contour lines. The resulting simulated head plots depict changes in color and contour lines that represent variations in water levels throughout the aquifer. Color gradients from yellow to purple indicate a decrease in water levels, while contour lines indicate the direction of groundwater flow. Furthermore, changes in the shape of contour lines from straight to curved depict changes in the topography or hydrogeological characteristics within the aquifer. The simulations are carried out by considering changes in hydraulic conductivity and aquifer material characteristics. In the context of this research, hydraulic conductivity is considered a key factor influencing the movement of dissolved substances within the aquifer, and through this analysis, it is found that hydraulic conductivity significantly affects water level distribution and groundwater flow patterns.
Penelitian ini telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mensimulasi proses intrusi air laut dengan perangkat lunak SEAWAT serta mengkaji faktor-faktor menyebabkan intrusi air laut. Dalam simulasi ini, variasi konduktivitas hidrolik dan jenis material akuifer dieksplorasi untuk memahami dampaknya terhadap distribusi tinggi air. Hasil simulasi ditampilkan dalam bentuk plot simulated concentration digunakan untuk memvisualisasikan distribusi konsentrasi dengan gradasi warna yang mencerminkan perubahan nilai konsentrasi. Selain itu, vektor arah aliran air bawah tanah diwakili oleh anak panah yang membantu dalam memahami pola pergerakan zat terlarut dalam akuifer. Plot simulated heads dengan menggunakan warna dan garis kontur. Plot simulated heads yang dihasilkan menggambarkan perubahan warna dan garis kontur yang merepresentasikan variasi tinggi air di seluruh akuifer. Gradasi warna dari kuning ke ungu menggambarkan penurunan tinggi air, sementara garis kontur mengindikasikan arah aliran air bawah tanah. Selain itu, perubahan bentuk garis kontur dari lurus menjadi membengkok menggambarkan adanya perubahan topografi atau karakteristik hidrogeologi di dalam akuifer. Simulasi dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan perubahan konduktivitas hidrolik dan karakteristik material akuifer. Dalam konteks penelitian ini, konduktivitas hidrolik dianggap sebagai faktor utama yang mempengaruhi pergerakan zat terlarut dalam akuifer dan melalui analisis ini, ditemukan bahwa konduktivitas hidrolik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap distribusi tinggi air dan pola aliran bawah tanah. Improving Students’ Scientific Writing Skills through Discovery Learning in Science Learning: A Systematic Review
Scientific writing skills are essential for students to express ideas or thoughts in various media such as practicum reports. This skills can be trained through the implementation of learning models that can empower science process skills, namely discovery learning. This study aims to analyse various articles related to the implementation of discovery learning models in science learning to improve students' scientific writing skills. This research is a systematic review with the PRISMA method using the keywords "discovery learning" and "writing skills" during the last 10 years. There are 7 articles via Scopus reviewed from 2013 – 2023. The results of the systematic review analysis showed that the implementation of the discovery learning model in science learning can improve students' scientific writing skills that consist of various aspect and criteria. Students' learning activities in each syntax of discovery learning are suitable to empower each aspect of this skills. The systematic review of various articles on the implementation of the discovery learning model is expected to be a reference for science teachers, especially in learning biology to improve students' scientific writing skills
Effect of Project-Based Learnıng (PjBL) on Study Results and Critical Thinking Ability of Students ın Lathe Engıneerıng Lessons
This study aims to determine the effect of project-based learning (PHJBL) on learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of students in lathe machining techniques at SMK Negeri 2 Merangin. This study uses an experimental method, with the design used is a pre-experimental design in the form of a one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample used XI TP2 class students. The following variable relationship with simple linear analysis technique. The results showed that the value of learning outcomes 87.50% of students increased by 9.79%. The value of students' critical thinking skills increased by 11.51%. The percentage of students who have reached the predicate competent in the final learning outcomes of 95.80% increased by 80.50% compared to before the establishment of the project-based learning model by referring to the standard score set
Analysis of Variation in Basic Chemistry Semester Learning Plans in Indonesian Universities: Learning Achievements, Learning Methods, and Evaluation
This study investigates the variations in the preparation of Semester Learning Plans (SLP) for the Basic Chemistry 1 course across 19 chemistry education programs at 31 universities in Indonesia. The study focuses on key aspects such as material coverage, learning methods, evaluation techniques, book references, and learning media used in each SLP. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and content analysis of 19 SLP documents, the study reveals significant diversity in the covered topics, teaching methods, and evaluation techniques employed across institutions. Core topics like stoichiometry and atomic structure are taught universally, but there is notable variation in specialized content such as green chemistry, air pollution, and tropical rainforests. The learning methods are primarily interactive, with group discussions and project-based learning being the most dominant. However, no program explicitly integrates the scientific method into its curriculum. Evaluation techniques vary, with most programs combining written exams and practical projects. This research concludes that the variations in SLP reflect institutional efforts to align curricula with local needs and global trends. It recommends expanding the sample scope in future studies and including qualitative data such as interviews with lecturers and student surveys for a more comprehensive understanding of how SLP impacts learning outcomes
Analisis Etnosains dalam Pembelajaran IPA di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kecamatan Pal Merah, Kecamatan Kota Baru, dan Kecamatan Telanai Pura Kota Jambi
This study analyzes the effect of CTL learning model based on ethnoscience on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes of elementary school students. Initial observations indicate that students' critical thinking skills still need to be improved, especially in articulating their ideas and understanding. With a quantitative approach, data were collected through standardized research instruments and analyzed statistically. The results of the analysis showed a significant difference between the experimental group taught by CTL model based on ethnoscience and the control group. The F count was 83.267 (p <0.05) for simultaneity between the two, 20.075 (p <0.05) for critical thinking, and 168.644 (p <0.05) for learning outcomes. Ethnoscience that connects traditional knowledge with modern science has been proven to play a strategic role in transforming learning. This approach allows students to construct knowledge by connecting academic concepts and cultural experiences, changing the learning model from conventional to constructivist that develops declarative and procedural knowledge. Learning experiences that are linked to cultural contexts create meaningful learning that enhances students' cognitive and metacognitive capacities. Ethnoscience not only bridges local wisdom and scientific knowledge, but also becomes a catalyst for the development of high-level thinking skills.Etnosains merupakan pendekatan pedagogis inovatif yang mengintegraasikan dimensi kultural ke dalam proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar. Konsep ini bertujuan mentransformasi lingkungan belajar melalui penggabungan pengetahuan lokal dan konteks budaya dalam desain kurikulum dan strategi instruksional. Pendekatan etnosains secara fundamental menekankan pentingnya membangun kerangka pembelajaran yang responsif terhadap keragaman kultural dan pengetahuan tradisional. Implementasi etnosains di lembaga pendidikan dasar melibatkan pengembangan metodologi pembelajaran yang berbasis pada konteks sosial budaya lokal. Metode yang dapat diaplikasikan mencakup problem based learning, project based learning, contextual teaching and learning, discovery learning, serta pendekatan inkuiri dan keterampilan proses. Melalui metode tersebut, siswa diarahkan untuk mengkonstruksi pengetahuan secara aktif dengan menghubungkan konsep akademik dengan pengalaman kultural mereka. Integrasi etnosains dalam proses pembelajaran mampu mentransformasi pendekatan konvensional menjadi konstruktivistik, yang tidak sekadar mengekplorasi pengetahuan deklaratif siswa, melainkan secara komprehensif mengembangkan pengetahuan prosedural mereka. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan siswa untuk mengonstruksi pemahaman mendalam melalui pengalaman dan konteks budaya yang bermakna, sehingga meningkatkan kapasitas kognitif dan metakognitif dalam proses belajar
Is Project-Based Learning a Guaranteed Boost for Students' Creativity? A Meta-Analytic Review
This study aimed to conduct a meta-analysis to examine the impact of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on the development of creative thinking skills among junior high school students in science learning. A meta-analysis method was employed by collecting and analyzing 10 relevant articles published between 2019 and 2024 from national journals indexed at least Sinta 4 and international journals or proceedings. The results indicated that PjBL significantly improved junior high school students' creative thinking skills in science learning. The effect size obtained showed a strong influence of PBL on students' creative thinking skills. Based on the grade level, the effect size for grade 7 was 0.94, for grade 8 was 4.76, and for grade 9 was 1.06, all of which were categorized as high. The success of project-based learning hinges on the appropriate selection of materials, consideration of individual student needs, and effective teacher guidance. Each student possesses unique learning styles and abilities, necessitating individualized project assignments. Time management skills are crucial for students to achieve their learning goals and produce high-quality work. The findings of this study have important implications for the development of science curricula and teaching practices at the junior high school level, and suggest the need for further research to investigate factors that can maximize the effectiveness of PjBL in developing students' creative thinking skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan meta-analisis untuk menguji dampak Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PBL) terhadap pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kreatif di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah pertama dalam pembelajaran sains. Metode meta-analisis dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis 10 artikel yang relevan dari Google Scholar yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2019 dan 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PBL secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP dalam pembelajaran sains. Effect size yang diperoleh menunjukkan pengaruh yang kuat dari PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Berdasarkan tingkatan kelas, effect size untuk kelas 7 adalah 1,34, kelas 8 adalah 3,64, dan kelas 9 adalah 1,06, yang semuanya dikategorikan tinggi. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang dapat memoderasi hubungan antara PBL dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif, seperti durasi proyek, jenis proyek, dan dukungan guru. Temuan penelitian ini memiliki implikasi penting untuk pengembangan kurikulum sains dan praktik pengajaran di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama, dan menyarankan perlunya penelitian lebih lanjut untuk menyelidiki faktor-faktor yang dapat memaksimalkan efektivitas PBL dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa
Analisis Sikap Peduli Lingkungan Siswa Sekolah Dasar di Kota Bandung
Students' environmental awareness is an important aspect of implementing sustainable education. The environmental awareness of elementary school students is not only important for building awareness of sustainability but also crucial for shaping the character of young generations who care about nature. This research aims to find out how environmental awareness is possessed by students in several elementary schools in Bandung City. Research on the analysis of environmental awareness is needed to ensure that current educational efforts are effective and relevant to the challenges faced by society today. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted in four public elementary schools in Bandung City which have similar locations, student criteria and surrounding environmental conditions. Based on the results of the research conducted, it states that, principals and teachers have made efforts to develop various programs that focus on students' environmental care attitudes in Bandung City Public Elementary Schools but are less in accordance with the five indicators of environmental care attitudes, namely environmental awareness, real actions of students, environmental values and ethics, the influence of the social environment, and student discipline due to lack of awareness of students' environmental care attitudes.Sikap peduli lingkungan yang dimiliki oleh siswa merupakan aspek penting untuk menerapkan pendidikan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa informasi yang sering diumpai yaitu mengenai kurangnya sikap peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap peduli lingkungan yang di miliki oleh siswa di beberapa sekolah dasar di Kota Bandung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di empat sekolah dasar negeri di Kota Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, menyatakan bahwa, sikap peduli lingkungan siswa di SD Negeri Kota Bandung tidak sesuai dengan lima indikator sikap peduli lingkungan yaitu kesadaran lingkungan, tindakan nyata siswa, nilai dan etika lingkungan, pengaruh lingkungan sosial, dan kedisiplinan siswa
Probabilitas Menemukan Elektron Atom Tritium dalam Ruang Momentum dengan Bilangan Kuantum Utama n ≤ 3
The tritium atom is an isotope of the hydrogen atom which only has one electron, so this research aims to determine the probability of finding a tritium atom electron ((_1^3)H) in momentum space with the principal quantum number n ≤ 3. This research is included in non-experimental research using literature study methods related to quantum mechanics. To determine the probability data for the electron momentum of the Tritium atom ((_1^3)H) numerical calculations were used using the Matlab R2021a program. The results obtained in this research are in the form of probability values for the electron momentum of the Tritium atom ((_1^3)H) which will provide an overview of the existence of electrons in the momentum space. Based on the research results, it can be shown that in momentum space, the probability of finding a Tritium atom electron increases as the principal quantum number (n) increases.Atom Tritium merupakan salah satu isotop atom hidrogen yang hanya memiliki sebuah elektron sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan probabilitas menemukan electron atom tritium ( ) dalam ruang momentum dengan bilangan kuantum utama n 3. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian non-eksperimen dengan metode studi literatur terkait mekanika kuantum. Untuk menentukan data probabilitas momentum elektron atom Tritium ( ) digunakan perhitungan secara numerik menggunakan program Matlab R2021a. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini berupa nilai probabilitas momentum elektron atom Tritium ( ) yang akan memberikan gambaran mengenai keberadaan elektron dalam ruang momentum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat ditunjukkan bahwa dalam ruang momentum, probabilitas ditemukannya elektron atom Tritium semakin meningkat seiring bertambahnya bilangan kuantum utama(n)
Index Card Match With QR Code Card To Strengthen Students' Learning Motivation
This study aims to determine the improvement of the learning process and student learning motivation through the index card match (ICM) learning model with QR code cards. The approach to this research is qualitative with the type of classroom action research. The focus of the study is the learning process and student learning motivation. One teacher and 15 students at fifth-grade UPTD SD Negeri 57 Parepare were the study subjects. Data collection techniques were in the form of observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The research instruments were observation sheets, reflection sheets, and student learning motivation questionnaires. Data were analyzed through condensation, presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The study's results showed that various changes in the learning process occurred through ICM with QR code card games. Students' enthusiasm was seen during learning; they became more actively involved, showed good collaboration with their group friends, and showed self-confidence. In the first and second cycles, there was no significant increase in learning motivation, and in the third cycle, 75% of students were in the Good or Very Good category. The conclusion is that using the ICM learning model with QR Code Cards can improve learning and student motivation
Student Perception of “Google Translate” Application as a Media for Translating English Material at the Second Grade Students of SMAN 10 Mataram
As technology plays an increasingly significant role in education, tools like Google Translate have become widely accessible for language learning and translation. This study investigates the perceptions of second-grade students at SMAN 10 Mataram regarding the use of the Google Translate application as a tool for translating English materials. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method. This study used structured interviews based on a set of guidelines to evaluate students' perceptions of Google Translate as a tool for translating English content. A qualitative and descriptive approach was applied for data collection, with the data presented and analyzed in stages, starting with interview analysis. The interviews, incorporating questions based on the 5W + 1H framework, aimed to gather information about students' perceptions before and after using Google Translate, as well as the challenges they faced and their strategies for overcoming them. Mobile phones and note-taking were used to record and capture additional information during the interviews. The findings show that most students view Google Translate as a helpful, time-efficient, and user-friendly tool for understanding English texts. However, limitations such as inaccuracies in grammar and context were noted. Despite these issues, most students have a positive attitude towards using Google Translate as a supplementary aid in their English learning. The study concludes that while Google Translate is a valuable resource, it should be used alongside teacher guidance and other learning strategies to enhance language proficiency
