A Student Response to the Arduino Uno-Based Uniformly Accelerated Motion Experiment Equipment in Basic Physics I Course
This research is based on technological advancements. As time progresses, numerous components have evolved in terms of functional efficiency, benefits, and physical aspects. In this context, a study was conducted to examine students' responses to the experimental equipment. The research was carried out in the physics laboratory of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Jambi University. The aim of this study was to determine students' responses to technology-based experimental equipment. The subjects of this study were regular 2022 physics education students. The instrument used was a student response questionnaire. The data collection technique in this study was quantitative and analyzed using descriptive statistics with a Likert scale. The results of this study showed an average interest level of 80.1% towards the experimental equipment, categorized as very good. The conclusion of this study is that the Arduino Uno-based experimental equipment received positive responses from the respondentsThis research is based on technological advancements. Science Teacher’s Knowledge about Lesson Study as A Professional Investigation Approach in Learning
Lesson study is a teacher collaborative approach to professional development. Lesson study is a model for fostering educator professionalism through collaborative and continuous learning assessments based on collegial and mutual learning principles to build learning communication. The aim of this research is to get an overview of science teachers' knowledge about lesson study as a professional inquiry approach in learning. Surveys of lesson study activities carried out by teachers can help to understand the characteristics of professional learning through effective lesson study and the extent to which teachers carry out and are involved in the lesson study process. The research was conducted in Salatiga, Central Java, Indonesia. This research method uses quantitative descriptive. The data collection technique uses a survey using a questionnaire as an instrument consisting of 70 statements from seven categories regarding lesson study. Respondents were science teachers selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis uses percentage techniques. Based on a survey conducted on science teachers regarding the implementation of lesson study, it is known that there are 5% of respondents who have never heard of lesson study, 30% of respondents have never been involved in lesson study activities, and there are around 40 % of respondents who have never carried out lesson study activities in teaching. Based on the seven categories of lesson study asked to teachers who have carried out lesson study in learning, it is known that there are still teachers who have weak motivation to improve the quality of learning, there are still science teachers who do not understand how to implement lesson study and how to use time in lesson study. Apart from that, it was found that science teachers still had a weak understanding of the benefits of lesson study in increasing teacher collaboration, the benefits of lesson study in improving the quality of teaching and learning, and there were still science teachers who did not understand how lesson study was started
Biochemical Serum Changes in the Liver and Kidney of Hyperuricemia Rats Exposed to Ethanolic Leaf Extract of Hantap (Sterculia coccinea Jack)
High uric acid levels can increase oxidative stress in the kidneys causing glomerular damage and tubular ischemia. In addition, it also causes hepatocyte injury so that uncontrolled hyperuricemia will cause liver damage. This study aims to determine the effect of Hantap leaf extract (Sterculia coccinea Jack) on kidney and liver function in rat hyperuricemia. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a post-test only control group design. This study used 30 rats induced with chicken liver juice and potassium oxonate and then given Hantap leaf ethanol extract therapy at doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg BW. Data on urea, creatinine, SGOT and SGPT levels were statistically tested using the ANOVA and Post-hoc Duncan tests. While data on uric acid levels used the T test and Anova. Significantly different results compared to negative controls were found in the group given Hantap leaf extract at doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg BW on uric acid, creatinine, ureum, SGOT and SGPT levels. The results of the study prove that administering Hantap leaf extract can improve kidney and liver function in hyperuricemic rats
Micro-Zonation Mapping of Landslide Potential Using Statistical Weighting Method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) in South Bengkulu–Lahat Road for Disaster Mitigation
The research objective was to identify areas with high, medium, and low potential for landslides by micro-zonation on the South Bengkulu–Lahat road, map areas with potential for landslides based on the parameters that contribute to causing landslides using the AHP method, and determine the parameters for landslides, the dominant parameter affecting the occurrence of landslides in the study area. To achieve the research objectives, all parameters that cause landslides obtained at measurement points are then overlaid using the AHP statistical weighting method. The results showed that the area along the South Bengkulu–Lahat road had been identified microzoning high, medium, and low landslide potentials based on statistical weighting from parameters were obtained at the measurement points. For areas with high landslide potential, caution should be exercised, especially during the rainy season with high intensity and long duration
Development of Augmented Reality-Based and Artificial Intelligence-Assisted E-Modules on Global Warming Materials to Improve Critical Thinking Skills of High School Learners
The background of this research is the low level of critical thinking skills in students and the importance of technology utilization in the learning process. To deal with students' low critical thinking skills can be done by utilizing technology in the packaging of teaching materials in the form of e-modules based on Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence Assisted on Global Warming Material. This development procedure uses the Akker model in three stages: analysis, design, and evaluation, with 179 students involved. The findings of this study indicate that the products made have reached the valid category with an average value of the electronic validity of the module from the five aspects of 94.3%. Then, the final average of the results of student responses to the use of e-modules on global warming material amounted to 3.45 with a convenient product category. From the results of the N-Gain test using SPSS version 22.0, the results obtained are for the N gain value of 0.71 ≥ 0.70. So, it can be said that using electronic modules based on Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence on global warming material at SMA Negeri 3 Sekayu is adequate to improve students' critical thinking skills
Sustainability Analysis and Management Strategy for Sendang Tirta Arum Tourism in Dander District Bojonegoro Regency
Sumberarum Village is one of the villages in Bojonegoro Regency that has developed tourism potential. There are several tourism potentials in Sumberarum Village, namely Sendang Tirta Arum, Guo Lowo and Guo Lawang.However, Sendang Tirta Arum tourism has not been managed well, even though it should be able to have a positive impact on the attractiveness of tourist attractions which ultimately provides welfare for the community. To make this happen, it is necessary to identify the existing ecological, economic, social, and institutional aspects to determine the aspects that require improvement and development. This research aims to find a tourism strategy for Sendang Tirta Arum. The method used is Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis. The resulting index value shows that each dimension analyzed sequentially has a diverse status, namely the ecological, social and institutional dimensions which are very sustainable and the economic dimension which is quite sustainable. The sensitive attributes that most influence sustainability and need to be considered are waste management facilities, business capital assistance, contribution to Original Local Government Revenue, conflicts between government and citizens, the role of private institutions, transportation facilities and infrastructure and the role of environmentally conscious groups.Pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif pada pembangunaan pariwisata di Indonesia, tidak hanya dari segi ekonomi tetapi juga segi sosial, lingkungan dan juga kelembagaan masyarakat. Peran serta kabupaten Bojonegoro dalam pariwisata didukung dengan adanya Perda Kabupaten Bojonegoro Nomor 4 Tahun 2020 yang merupakan rencana induk pembangunan kepariwisataan Kabupaten Bojonegoro tahun 2019-2025. Desa Sumberarum merupakan salah satu desa di Kabupaten Bojonegoro yang telah mengembangkan potensi wisata. Ada beberapa potensi wisata yang ada di Desa Sumberarum yaitu Sendang Tirta Arum, Guo Lowo dan Guo Lawang. Akan tetapi wisata Sendang Tirta Arum ini belum seluruhnya dikelola dengan baik, padahal seharusnya dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap daya tarik tempat wisata yang akhirnya memberikan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat. Atribut sensitif yang paling mempengaruhi keberlanjutan dan perlu diperhatikan adalah fasilitas pengelolaan sampah, bantuan permodalan usaha, kontribusi terhadap PAD, konflik antara pemerintah dan warga, peran lembaga swasta, sarana dan prasarana transportasi dan peran kelompok sadar lingkungan
Development of Video Tutorials for Making Learning Media Based on Augmented Reality on Ion Material
Ionic matter is an abstract material that is included in the submicroscopic level. Augmented reality is a media that can be used to overcome these problems. This research aims to identify the level of validity and show the response of educators and students to video tutorials on making augmented reality-based learning media on ion material. The level of product validity is based on the results of validation tests by experts, while the teacher's response is from the results of the teacher's response test questionnaire on chemistry and junior high school chemistry subjects. Student responses from chemistry education students at FKIP Tanjungpura University class of 2020. The method used is development using a design thinking approach. The research results show that the average percentage results in terms of media, material and language validity is 95.2%, so it can be categorized as very valid. Then, the teacher's response obtained an average percentage result of 89.9% and the student response was 88.85%. Thus, it is concluded that the resulting product received a very good response from educators and students
Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Flipbook pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar
This study aims to develop learning media in the form of flipbooks to improve the learning outcomes of grade V elementary school students in IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) subjects, focusing on material about what Indonesia looks like. This research method applies the ADDIE-type Research and Development (R&D) development model which consists of five research stages. Data analysis techniques applied in this study include initial data analysis with the normality test, as well as final data analysis using the T-Test and N-Gain test. The results of this study obtained a score of 94% from media experts and a score of 92% from material experts with very feasible criteria. The effectiveness of using flipbook media is done by calculating the results of pretest and post-test scores using the N-Gain test which obtained a score of 0.6541 which is included in the moderate category and paired sample t-test obtained results of 0.000 < 0.005 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. These results indicate that flipbook media is feasible to use and can improve student learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa flipbook untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD pada mata pelajaran IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial), dengan fokus pada materi tentang Indonesia seperti apa. Metode penelitian ini menerapkan model pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) tipe ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis data awal dengan uji normalitas, serta analisis data akhir menggunakan uji T dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh skor 94% dari ahli media dan skor 92% dari ahli materi dengan kriteria sangat layak. Efektivitas penggunaan media flipbook dilakukan dengan menghitung hasil nilai pretest dan post-test dengan menggunakan uji N-Gain yang diperoleh skor 0,6541 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan uji t sampel berpasangan diperoleh hasil sebesar 0,000 <0,005 kemudian Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa media flipbook layak digunakan dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar
Differences in Appearance of Saltwater, Freshwater and Imitation Pearls with Microscopic Electron Spectrum
This study aims to identify the differences between saltwater, freshwater, and imitation pearls based on their morphology and topography. Samples were collected from the pearl trading center in Sekarbela, Mataram, Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat. The methods employed included physical analysis focusing on origin, formation process, shape, weight, color and light reflection, as well as price. Additionally, morphological and topographical scanning was conducted using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)-EDS to obtain more detailed data. The research findings revealed significant differences among the three types of pearls, particularly in color reflection and luster. Saltwater pearls exhibited the strongest and most radiant color reflection compared to freshwater and imitation. Morphological examination showed pearl grains were irregular in shape and varied in size. Bright colors were predominantly associated with elements having high atomic numbers, whereas dark colors were linked to elements with low atomic numbers. The EDS analysis indicated distinct differences in the chemical composition of each pearl type. Calcium was found to dominate in saltwater pearls, carbon in freshwater pearls, and silicon in imitation. These findings provide deeper insights into the morphological characteristics and chemical compositions of each type of pearl, enhancing the identification of quality differences and the unique traits of each variety
Development of Understanding Test Instruments for Grade 7 Junior High School Students on Temperature, Heat and Expansion Topics
The aim of this research is to analyze the validity, reliability, level of difficulty and differentiating power of understanding test items, especially on the temperature, heat and expansion topic that has been developed. The test items consist of 20 multiple choice questions which refer to cognitive process of understanding according to Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. The subjects of this research were 31 students in class VIII of junior high school. Before being tested on students, the understanding test items were evaluated by 5 experts. The method used to analyze validity, reliability, level of difficulty and differentiating power of items is the Rasch model using MINISTEP software version 4.3.1. The results of the analysis show that the understandingtest items on temperature, heat and expansion can be used to test students' understanding. Validity analysis results using item fit criteria with output in the form of MNSQ and ZSTD values. Meanwhile, the value of reliability item of 0.88 indicates that the quality of the items in the understanding instrument is included in the good category. On the other hand, the distribution of the difficulty level of items is uneven, there are more items in the difficult category than items in the easy category. However, 10 items have a differentiating power of more than 0.40 which is included in the very good category, so that they can differentiate students with high and low understanding very well
