Optimization of Lot Sizing Technique in Determining the Best Supplier of Local and Imported Beef Supply with Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method
It is important for companies engaged in the food processing industry to determine the right amount and time of ordering so that raw materials are available optimally. The purpose of this research is to measure lot sizing optimization in determining the best supplier of local and imported beef supplies using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). The data used is local and imported beef raw material data at PT Uutbeef Indonesia Storage (Warehouse Storage) Cirebon Regency Jawabarat. The results of the study for Johndee and Amroon meat type products using the Lot For Lot (LOL) lot sizing technique obtained the lowest cost with the total cost generated was IDR 35,832,654,000 compared to using lot sizing Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), or Period Order Quantity (POQ). The results of the weighting of supplier criteria, the preference value of the maroon supplier obtained the best results for PT Sarana Inti with a value of 0.92 and for the preference of the johndee supplier obtained the best results, namely PT Sinar with the final result of 0.93. Therefore, Lot Sizing optimization can be used by companies to overcome problems regarding the quantity, time and cost of inventory, so as to reduce the excess raw materials that occur, ensure smooth production and increase the productivity and profitability of the compan
Increasing Students’ Reading Comprehension and Learning Interest by Using Snowball Throwing Method at The Tenth-Grade Students of Assalam IBS
This study investigates the effectiveness of the Snowball Throwing Method in improving students' reading comprehension and learning interest among tenth-grade students of Assalam IBS. Conducted as classroom action research, the study involved 30 students from class X.C over two cycles. Data were collected through reading comprehension tests, learning interest questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis for quantitative data, which includes the results of the reading comprehension test and the learning interest questionnaire. Meanwhile, qualitative data, which consists of observation and interview results, were analyzed using descriptive narrative data analysis techniques. The findings reveal significant improvements across both cycles. In Cycle 1, the average reading comprehension score was 67.67, with an average learning interest score of 98.80. By Cycle 2, these scores increased to 77.75 for reading comprehension and 112.30 for learning interest. The result was also supported by data of observation and interview to the students related to learning activity by using snowball throwing method. The results indicate that the Snowball Throwing Method effectively enhances both reading comprehension and student engagement. This method encourages active participation and collaborative learning, fostering a more interactive and stimulating classroom environment. The study concludes that the Snowball Throwing Method is a practical approach to address challenges in reading comprehension and learning interest among high school students
Analisis Kesulitan Pemahaman Materi Perkalian 10 Sampai Dengan 20 Siswa
Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang sangat penting untuk dipelajari, karena kemampuannya membantu individu dalam menyelesaikan berbagai masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Matematika di sekolah dasar sangat penting untuk dipelajari semaksimal mungkin dan tidak boleh terjadi kesalahpahaman dalam mempelajari konsep dalam matematika. Salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki anak SD kelas tiga adalah operasi perkalian. Metode dalam penelitian ini ialah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas III SDN 31 Cakranegara mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami perkalian, terutama dalam menghubungkannya dengan penjumlahan berulang. Kesulitan siswa dalam memahami perkalian dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Secara internal, rendahnya motivasi belajar, kurangnya kepercayaan diri, serta ketergantungan pada hafalan. Secara eksternal, minimnya dukungan keluarga, keterbatasan fasilitas belajar, serta lingkungan yang tidak kondusi
Analisis Penerapan Budaya Sekolah Terhadap Pembentukan Karakter Religius Peserta Didik Di SDN 1 Mataram
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana budaya sekolah yang diterapkan di SDN 1 Mataram berkontribusi dalam membentuk karakter religius peserta didik, serta mengidentifikasi karakter religius peserta didik yang terbentuk melalui program budaya sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitaitif dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologi. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian yakni kepala sekolah, guru PAI dan peserta didik muslim kelas 4-6. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan budaya sekolah di SDN 1 Mataram telah berkontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik. Budaya sekolah yang diterapkan, seperti Morning Al-Qur’an, shalat Dzuhur berjamaah, tanya jawab keagamaan (quiz), kultum, pembacaan Surah Yasin, serta shalat Dhuha bersama telah berhasil menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik. Melalui metode pembiasaan, peran tenaga pendidik, dukungan lingkungan sekolah serta kegiatan keagamaan, dapat membentuk nilai-nilai religius seperti ketaatan menjalankan ibadah, toleransi, sopan santun dan kesabaran yang tertanam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari peserta didik
Penerapan Problem-Based Learning dalam Studi Biofisika untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Mahasiswa Pendidikan Sains
This study investigates the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in improving the critical thinking skills of science education students in a biophysics course. The research employed a pre-experimental design using the One Shot Case Study method with posttest-only data. The participants were fourth-semester undergraduate students from the Science Education Study Program at the State University of Surabaya, who took the Biophysics course in the 2023/2024 academic year. The study was conducted in June 2023. Data analysis using the Shapiro-Wilk test showed a significance value of 0.086, indicating that the data were normally distributed. A one-sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.417, which supports the conclusion that PBL has a positive influence on students’ critical thinking skills. Overall, the implementation of PBL in biophysics lectures demonstrates its potential to enhance critical thinking among science education students.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari tahu apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran problem-based learning dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pendidikan sains. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan rancangan One Shot-Case Study untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning pada mata kuliah Biofisika dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pendidikan sains. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Juni 2023 dengan subjek yaitu mahasiswa semester 4 Program Studi Sarjana Pendidikan Sains Universitas Negeri Surabaya yang menempuh mata kuliah Biofisika tahun akademik 2023/2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan uji normalitas menggunakan metode Shapiro-Wilk mendapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,086 yang lebih besar dari nilai 0,05. Maka dapat diketahui bahwa sebaran data memiliki distribusi normal. Selanjutnya untuk uji one sample t-test yang bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengukur tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,417 yang lebih besar dari nilai 0,05. Sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa hipotesis nol (Ho) diterima yaitu terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning pada mata kuliah Biofisika dalam meningkatkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa sains. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan perkuliahan dengan model Problem Based Learning menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa sains pada mata kuliah biofisika
Implementing R-STEM and the ISLE Model to Enhance Students' Conceptual Understanding of Magnetic Induction at Unsyiah Laboratory School
Many schools face difficulties in implementing science education through a practicum due to insufficient laboratory facilities and bureaucratic constraints, which hinder students' hands-on learning. To address such constraints, a new web-based remote laboratory, Remote STEM (R-STEM) platform, was introduced by the STEM Research Center. This study explores using R-STEM in learning magnetic induction using the ISLE-based STEM approach with Student Activity Sheets (LKPD) to enhance engagement. A mixed-methods research design was utilized, and 72 high school students underwent a set of experiments according to the ISLE cycle, from observations to pattern detection, explanation, predictions, and experimentation verification. The results show a high rate of students’ understanding of magnetic induction, with a score in LKPD evaluation at 84%, a rate of implementation at 93%, and a score in learning activity alignment at 78.5%. In addition, pretest and posttest tests showed a learning outcome increase by 71%. This study contributes to the broader scientific educational community by demonstrating that remote laboratories can be effective in enhancing STEM learning, particularly in schools with fewer laboratory facilities.Teknologi praktik jarak jauh yang inovatif, platform STEM jarak jauh (R-STEM) dapat diakses melalui situs web yang dibuat oleh Pusat Penelitian STEM. Penerapan platform R-STEM pada induksi magnetik merupakan penekanan utama penelitian ini. Di sekolah-sekolah yang tidak memiliki ruang laboratorium atau bantuan administratif, alat ini dapat membantu pendidikan sains berbasis praktikum. Penggunaan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKPD) oleh siswa sekolah menengah atas bersama dengan pendekatan ISLE berbasis STEM pada topik medan magnet dan induksi magnetik telah dievaluasi dengan baik; skor penilaian LKPD adalah 84%, tingkat implementasi adalah 93%, dan analisis kegiatan pembelajaran yang sejalan dengan siklus ISLE berbasis STEM adalah 78,5%, yang tergolong sangat baik. Implementation of Flipped Classroom Learning Model and Its Effect on Critical Thinking and Communicating Skills of Junior High School Students
The 21st century learning paradigm emphasizes students' ability to think critically, be able to connect knowledge with the real world, master information technology, communicate and collaborate. This study aims to determine how the flipped classroom model affects students' critical thinking and communication skills. The research method is a quasi-experimental form of non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design with a simple random sampling technique. The population in this study were all students of grade IX of SMP Islam Al-Falah, namely 5 classes, class IX-1, IX-2, IX-3, IX-4 and IX-5., the research sample class IX-5 as the control class and IX-3 as the experimental class. The data collection technique used the FRISCO indicator critical thinking ability essay test and the communication ability assessment observation sheet. The data analysis technique used the one-way MANCOVA test with initial critical thinking and communication skills as covariates. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the value [F (2,51) = 22.777, p <0.001, ηp2 = 0.472]. This means that the significance value of p <0.001 which means <0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of the flipped classroom model on students' critical thinking and communication skills. The size of the effect size value ηp2 = 0.472, which means that there is a large influence of the flipped classroom model on students' critical thinking and communication skills
Effect of Scientific Discovery Learning on Critical Thinking in Biology Education Students
The scientific-based discovery learning model encourages students to actively search for and construct concepts independently, thereby improving their critical thinking skills. Field observations show that students' critical thinking abilities in the Plant Development Structure 2 (SPT 2) course remain low. This study aims to determine the effect of the scientific-based discovery learning model on the critical thinking abilities of biology education students at the University of West Sulawesi. Using a true experimental design with randomly assigned control and experimental groups, data were collected through a critical thinking ability test. Statistical analysis using an independent samples t-test shows a significant difference between the two groups. This study finds that scientific-based discovery learning significantly improves students’ critical thinking abilities, with the experimental group achieving higher scores and a very large effect size
Tantangan dalam Mengadaptasi Teknologi Wolbachia untuk Pengendalian Demam Berdarah
The global increase in dengue cases has prompted the development of the Wolbachia method as an innovative vector control strategy. In response, the Indonesian Government, through the Ministry of Health, has implemented the Wolbachia method in various regions. The application of this novel strategy requires cross-sectoral collaboration to enhance implementation effectiveness. This qualitative study aims to analyze the implementation of the Wolbachia program in Buleleng Regency, Bali, within a multi-stakeholder collaborative framework. Data was gathered through in-depth interviews and document reviews to investigate the dynamics and challenges of collaboration. The findings reveal significant obstacles to effective collaboration, including weak communication, overlapping roles, bureaucratic complexity, and regulatory deficiencies. These issues have adversely affected community participation and led to resistance toward the program. The study contributes to the public policy implementation literature by highlighting the critical need for clear communication, defined roles, and technical guidelines to improve implementation success. It recommends enhancing communication, coordination, regulation, and misinformation mitigation to optimize cross-sectoral collaboration in the execution of innovative public health policies.Peningkatan kasus dengue secara global telah mendorong pengembangan metode Wolbachia sebagai strategi pengendalian vektor yang inovatif. Sebagai respon terhadap inovasi ini, Pemerintah Indonesia melalui Kementerian Kesehatan telah menerapkan metode Wolbachia di beberapa wilayah. Penerapan strategi baru ini menuntut kolaborasi lintas sektor guna meningkatkan efektivitas implementasinya. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi program Wolbachia di Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali, dengan kerangka kolaborasi multi-stakeholder. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dan telaah dokumen untuk mengeksplorasi dinamika kolaborasi dan tantangan yang dihadapi. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi lemahnya komunikasi, tumpang tindih peran, kompleksitas birokrasi, dan rendahnya regulasi menjadi kendala utama efektivitas kolaborasi. Kondisi ini berdampak pada keterbatasan partisipasi dan resistensi masyarakat terhadap program. Temuan studi ini memperkaya literatur implementasi kebijakan publik terkait urgensi kejelasan komunikasi, peran insentif, dan pedoman teknis dalam meningkatkan keberhasilan implementasi program-program inovatif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perbaikan komunikasi, koordinasi, regulasi dan mitigasi misinformasi untuk mengoptimalkan kolaborasi lintas sektor dalam implementasi kebijakan kesehatan masyarakat yang inovatif
Research Trends in Physics Learning Strategies: A Systematic Literature Review Addressing Students' Conceptual Understanding Difficulties in Kinematics
Conceptual understanding is a basic skill that students need to have in learning. This has encouraged many researchers to implement strategies in learning to improve students' understanding of kinematics material. This article conducts a comprehensive review of 22 Scopus indexed journals to answer research questions related to What strategies are used in learning kinematics material and what difficulties do students experience during learning? The method is carried out using the PRISMA stages which consist of four journal mapping processes, namely identification, screening, eligibility, and included in this review. The review results indicate that from 2016 to 2024, various strategies and comparative studies have been implemented in kinematics learning. Most of these strategies effectively enhance students' conceptual understanding. However, there are still some difficulties for students in understanding the concept of kinematics which are still underlined, especially in understanding the interpretation of x-t, v-t, and a-t graphs
