    Kesalahan Penyelesaian Masalah Materi Penyajian Data Ditinjau Dari Gaya Belajar Siswa

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada materi penyajian data ditinjau dari gaya belajar siswa kelas VIII semester ganjil di SMPN 17 Mataram tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 139 siswa, dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 104 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik Proposional Sampling berdasarkan rumus Slovin. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 9 siswa yang dipilih untuk dianalisis lebih mendalam. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner untuk mengidentifikasi gaya belajar, tes tertulis untuk menganalisis kesalahan, serta wawancara untuk mendalami penyebab kesalahan. Teknik analisis data mencakup identifikasi gaya belajar dan identifikasi kesalahan penyelesaian masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya belajar visual cenderung melakukan 2 jenis kesalahan dari 5 jenis kesalahan Newman yang dilakukan siswa yaitu process skill dan encoding. Sedangkan gaya belajar auditorial cenderung melakukan kesalahan pada jenis transformation, process skill, dan encoding. Sementara itu, siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik cenderung melakukan kesalahan pada jenis comprehension, process skill, dan encoding. Penyebab utama kesalahan meliputi ketidakmampuan siswa dalam membuat model matematika, kurangnya pemahaman terhadap langkah-langkah penyelesaian, serta ketidakmampuan dalam menguasai materi prasyarat

    Pemanfaatan Mikro Organisme Lokal (MOL) pada Pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) dengan Memanfaatkan Limbah Sayuran

    This study aims to analyse the Nitrogen and pH levels of liquid organic fertiliser (LOF) made using microlocal organisms (LMO) based on vegetable waste. The method used was an experimental method through a fermentation process carried out at the Center for Standardisation and Industrial Pollution Prevention Services (BBSPJPPI). The results showed that the LOF produced had a Nitrogen content of 0.03% and a pH of 3, which did not meet the quality standards of liquid organic fertiliser in Indonesia, namely Nitrogen content of 2-6% and a neutral to slightly acidic pH (5-7). The low Nitrogen content is due to the Nitrogen-poor composition of the vegetable waste, while the overly acidic pH is due to the prolonged fermentation time, which triggers the formation of organic acid compounds. To improve the quality of LOF, optimisation is needed in the selection of raw materials, fermentation ratio, and control of fermentation parameters such as time and temperature. This research provides recommendations for the development of higher-quality LOFs that comply with national standards.Tujuan penelitian artikel ini untuk menganalisis kadar Nitrogen dan pH dari pemanfaatan Mikro Organisme Lokal pada pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair. Bersumber pada hasil penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa Pupuk Organik Cair yang dibuat menggunakan limbah sayuran dengan persentase kadar Nitrogen 0,034 belum memenuhi standar mutu Pupuk Organik Cair yang ditetapkan pemerintah Indonesia yaitu kandungan N berkisar 2-6%. Kandungan pH yaitu 3 yang berarti asam karena dekomposisi bahan organik. Penurunan pH yang begitu rendah dapat dipengaruhi oleh waktu fermentasi Mikro Organisme Lokal yang terlalu lama

    This research to investgate the implimentation of the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematic) approach base on Prjocet Based Learning (PJBL) in enviromental pollution content to enchance students colllaboration skills. The research utilizes the Pre-Experimental Design method. This type of research involves a single group of subjects receiving treatment without a control group. The research design employed is the One-Shot Case Study. Data collection techniques include documentation and non-test methodss. The population comprises all 7th grade classes, with the sample specifically taken from the VII D class. Results obtained from categorization analysis for self-assessment and peer assessment is more dominant in the medium category, this shows that self-assessment and peer assessment is not optimal. Self-assessment (self-assessment) and peer assessment of skills Student collaboration is included in the medium category because of variations in learning perception and assessment of each individual. The result from the VII D indicates in increase in collaboration skills which obtains score 82, 32 on average in meeting and 86,07 in meeting III and they are included in very good criteria. In conlusion, the STEAM approach based on Project Based Learning (PJBL) is effective in enhancing student’s collaboration skills in the context of enviromental pollution.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pendekatan STEAM berbasis PJBL pada materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pre-Experimental Design. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelompok subyek yang diberikan perlakuan dan tidak memiliki kelas kontrol. Design penelitian yang digunakan adalah One-Shot Case Study. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dokumentasi dan non tes. Populasi adalah seluruh kelas VII, sampel adalah kelas VII D. Hasil penelitian pada kelas VII D yang mengimplementasikan pendekatan STEAM berbasis PJBL memperoleh nilai rata-rata keterampilan kolaborasi yaitu 84,19 termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baikâ€. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan STEAM berbasis PJBL dapat meningkatkan kererampilan kolaborasi siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan

    The Influence of Project Based Learning LKPD on Scientific Thinking Skills and Collaboration in Science Learning in Class V of Elementary School

    This research aims to measure the effectiveness of Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Project Based Learning (PBL) in improving students' cooperation and scientific thinking skills in science subjects in elementary schools. Using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group, this research involved 60 fifth grade students who were divided into an experimental group (using PBL-based LKPD) and a control group (using conventional methods). Instrument is a questionnaire to measure cooperation and a written test to measure scientific thinking abilities. The results of the analysis show that the average student collaboration score in the experimental group was 85.3, higher than the control group which only reached 78.4. The average score for scientific thinking ability in the experimental group reached 82.7, compared to 75.6 in the control group. Data analysis using the independent t test, after fulfilling the assumptions of normality and homogeneity of variance, showed statistically significant differences with a p value < 0.05. Results indicate that the use of PBL-based LKPD is more effective in increasing students' cooperation and scientific thinking abilities compared to conventional methods. This research suggests a wider application of PBL in science learning in elementary schools to optimize students' collaborative and scientific thinking skills

    Potensi Penerapan Teknologi Aerobic Granular Sludge (AGS) dalam Pengolahan Air Limbah Industri Tahu

    The tofu industry produces high protein food but produces wastewater with high organic matter and ammonia which is the result of protein breakdown in soybean seeds during the extraction process. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sometimes neglect waste treatment due to limited resources. Indonesian regulations stipulate special quality standards for wastewater in the Regulation of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia No. 5 of 2014 concerning Wastewater Quality Standards for Soybean Processing Businesses and/or Activities. Indicators of organic matter pollution are characterized by the parameters BOD 150 mg/l, COD 300 mg/l, TSS 200 mg/l, and pH 5-9. Meanwhile, tofu industrial wastewater without special treatment can exceed the quality standard with BOD levels of 5.000-10.000 mg/l and COD levels of 7.000-12,000 mg/l. To overcome this problem apart from using activated sludge, researchers are exploring the use of Aerobic Granular Sludge (AGS) technology. AGS involves aggregate microorganisms in granules to treat wastewater efficiently. This increases treatment efficiency, reduces space requirements, and handles high organic loads effectively. Although aerobic granular technology is promising, research is still ongoing to better understand its characteristics and optimize applications in various industries and environmental conditions. This study aims to explore the potential application of Aerobic Granular Sludge (AGS) technology in treating tofu industrial wastewater with high organic matter content and significant ammonia content so that it meets permitted quality standards.Industri tahu menghasilkan makanan dengan kandungan protein tinggi, tetapi juga menghasilkan air limbah yang mengandung bahan organik dan amonia tinggi yang merupakan hasil pemecahan protein dalam biji kedelai selama proses ekstraksi. Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) kadang-kadang mengabaikan pengolahan limbah karena keterbatasan sumber daya. Peraturan di Indonesia menetapkan standar kualitas khusus untuk air limbah dalam Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Republik Indonesia No. 5 Tahun 2014 tentang Baku Mutu Air Limbah bagi Usaha dan/atau Kegiatan Pengolahan Kedelai. Indikator pencemaran bahan organik ditandai dengan parameter BOD 150 mg/l, COD 300 mg/l, TSS 200 mg/l, dan pH 5-9. Sementara itu, air limbah industri tahu tanpa pengolahan khusus dapat melebihi standar kualitas dengan kadar BOD antara 5.000-10.000 mg/l dan kadar COD antara 7.000-12.000 mg/l. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, selain menggunakan lumpur aktif, para peneliti juga sedang mengeksplorasi penggunaan teknologi Aerobic Granular Sludge (AGS). AGS melibatkan mikroorganisme dalam bentuk agregat granula untuk mengolah air limbah secara efisien. Teknologi ini meningkatkan efisiensi pengolahan, mengurangi kebutuhan ruang, dan mampu menangani beban organik tinggi secara efektif. Meskipun teknologi granular aerobik menjanjikan, penelitian masih terus dilakukan untuk lebih memahami karakteristiknya dan mengoptimalkan aplikasinya dalam berbagai industri dan kondisi lingkungan.     Empowering Junior High School Students' Thinking Skills Through the Application of Problem-Based Learning Models

    The reason for this review is to portray imaginative reasoning abilities and science-critical abilities to think in middle school understudies by using issue-based learning models. The study was directed at class VIII students at one of Palu City's junior high schools. The population of class VIII consists of five classes totaling 160 students. Purposive sampling was used to select two classes as samples. Data on problem-solving and creative thinking abilities were obtained through essay tests. The instruments used were teaching modules, LKPD, and tests. Information investigation utilized an autonomous t-test with the assistance of SPSS variant 25.0. The findings revealed that the creative thinking skills in conventional classes were significantly lower than problem-based learning classes t(62)=13.56, p<0.001, and problem-solving skills in conventional classes were considerably lower than problem-based learning classes t(62)=14.63, p<0.001. Thus, this study concludes that the creative thinking skills and problem-solving abilities of Class VIII SMP students in science subjects can be empowered by implementing a problem-based learning model.Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah IPA pada siswa SMP melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada siswa Kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Kota Palu. Populasi seluruh kelas VIII terdiri atas lima kelas berjumlah 160 siswa. Dua kelas dijadikan sampel yang ditentukan berdasarkan purposive sampling. Data keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah diperoleh melalui tes essay. Instrument yang digunakan adalah modul ajar, LKPD dan test. Analisis data menggunakan t-test independent dengan bantuan SPPS versi 25.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif kelas konvensional secara signifikan lebih rendah dari kelas pembelajaran berbasis masalah t(62) =13.56, p < 0.001 dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada kelas konvensional secara signifikan lebih rendah dari kelas pembelajaran berbasis masalah t(62) =14.63, p < 0.001. Dengan demikian kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan ada pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa Kelas VIII SMP pada mata pelajaran IPA

    Exploring the Relationship between Logical Reasoning Skills, Scientific Literacy, and Academic Achievement in Science Courses Among Secondary Students: A Mixed Method Study

    This study explores the correlation between Scientific Literacy (SL) results from PISA 2015 released items, the Test of Logical Thinking (TOLT), and Science Score Achievement (SSA). The method of this study used an explanatory sequential research design with cross-sectional and convenience sampling. Ninety-two 15-year-old students and science teachers participated. The correlation between SL, TOLT, and SSA was positive but moderately weak. The average SL score was low at 33.04%. TOLT results showed that 64.13% of students demonstrated concrete reasoning, 32.61% proportional reasoning, and 3.26% formal reasoning. SSA scores averaged 81.90, with 53 students scoring above average. Interviews with teachers suggested low SL and LT scores resulted from a lack of hands-on activities, as teachers relied heavily on lectures. Science textbooks also lacked inquiry-based learning tasks. The limitations of this research are that it does not cover gender comparison, school curriculums, or school locations, whether urban or suburban. The psychological aspects regarding the students’ interest or efficacy are not included in the discussion or provided. Also, students with positive learning experiences in science have good results in SL, and TOLT has not been proven empirically

    Multi-criteria Group Decision Making Model to Selecting the Most Appropriate Performance of Contract Employees Using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment and Borda Methods

    This research aims to evaluate the performance of contract employees using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment and Borda methods. The Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment approach uses mathematical calculations, thereby producing precise and accurate results. The Borda technique is useful because it efficiently aggregates diverse rankings of alternatives through voting groups that combine many preferences. The choice of these two methodologies has the ability to produce more efficient solutions to complex problems by guiding or making decisions more quickly in resolving problems. The determining criteria for assessing the performance of contract employees are punctuality or attendance, skills, knowledge, communication, decision making, discipline, adaptation to the work environment, work safety and initiative.  The results of the calculation process from the ranking combination of the weighted aggregate sum product assessment and the borda method were obtained by placing alternative 5 as an employee who is worthy of being a permanent employee and getting the highest score of 0.288. All calculations using this method can be a guide in making decisions at PT SMART Tbk Surabaya, because the accuracy of contract employee performance evaluations has a significant influence on achieving company goals in the permanent employee recruitment process

    Penggunaan Augmented Reality, Google Search, dan ChatGPT Terhadap Penguasaan Konsep Siswa Pada Materi Sistem Ekskresi

    The Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 are being widely implemented in various countries. Combining these two things is expected to create an inclusive society where everyone can enjoy the benefits of technological developments. To keep up with developments in the world of education and increase the appeal and effectiveness of learning, Augmented Reality (AR) technology needs to be utilized. Likewise, Google Search technology can facilitate the collection of information. The existence of Artificial Intelligence, such as ChatGPT, is no less useful as a complement to the learning process that can expand and facilitate literature searches. This study compares the increase in concept mastery using AR with Google Search and AR with ChatGPT. The focus of this study is not on the comparison of AR use because AR is combined with the use of Google Search or ChatGPT. The research method uses quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The research instrument used was a multiple-choice test to measure students' concept mastery of the human excretory system material. The study results showed an increase in concept mastery in each group. However, there was no significant difference between the two groups.Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan Society 5.0 sedang marak dilaksanakan di berbagai negara. Penggabungan kedua hal ini diharapkan untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang inklusif, dimana setiap orang dapat menikmati manfaat dari perkembangan teknologi. Untuk mengikuti perkembangan dalam dunia pendidikan dan meningkatkan daya tarik juga efektifitas pembelajaran, teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) perlu dimanfaatkan. Begitu juga dengan penggunaan teknologi Google Search yang mampu memfasilitasi pengumpulan berbagai informasi. Adanya Artificial Intelligence, seperti ChatGPT, tidak kalah bermanfaat sebagai pelengkap dalam proses pembelajaran yang mampu memperluas dan mempermudah pencarian literatur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan peningkatan penguasan konsep pada penggunaan AR dengan Google Search dan AR dengan ChatGPT. Perlu ditekankan bahwa fokus penelitian ini bukanlah pada perbandingan penggunaan AR karena AR digabungkan dengan penggunaan Google Search atau ChatGPT. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasi experimental design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia. Hasil penelitian adalah terdapat peningkatan penguasaan konsep pada masing-masing kelompok. Akan tetapi, secara keseluruhan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok yang menggunakan AR dengan Google Search dan kelompok AR dengan ChatGPT

    Analysis of Elementary School Students' Science Process Skills in the Merdeka Curriculum

    Science literacy in Indonesia is still far below the global average, thus highlighting the need for substantial improvement in science education, especially in science process skills. This study aims to analyze the basic science process skills of 4th grade elementary school students by using a descriptive approach through classroom observation and written tests. The results showed an average score of 54, categorized as poor, with the score of each aspect being observing 62 (fair), interpreting 61 (fair), classifying 56 (poor), predicting 54 (poor), planning experiments 51 (poor), and communicating 42 (bad). The study identified weak communication and experiment planning skills as the main factors contributing to low science literacy. Therefore, the implementation of inquiry-based learning strategies is essential to enhance science process skills and improve overall science literacy. The findings provide valuable insights for educators to design more effective and engaging science learning in primary schools
