    Analisa Analisis korelasi antara kualitas air dan identifikasi mikroplastik di wilayah pesisir utara Situbondo.

    Water pollution occurs when unwanted substances contaminate a body of water, affecting its quality. Rivers, as the main source of water, are particularly vulnerable to pollution from human activities. This study was located in the Situbondo North Coast Area with a focus on 15 sampling points. Water quality was assessed through several parameters. The abundance and characteristics of microplastics were analyzed, revealing the highest abundance at one point, with small fiber-shaped black particles predominant. Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) identified microplastic characteristics, such as color and size, showed strong correlations with water quality. Green and large-sized microplastics were associated with increased ammonia and turbidity, while transparent and fragmentary microplastics correlated with decreased DO and increased BOD. Black microplastics were associated with a decrease in pH. These findings confirm the role of microplastics in worsening the chemical and biological conditions of waters. The study also found that Dissolved Oxygen (DO) and BOD had the strongest influence on the relationship between water quality and microplastics, highlighting the ecological significance of these findings.  Abstrak: Polusi air terjadi ketika zat-zat yang tidak diinginkan mencemari badan air, memengaruhi kualitasnya. Sungai, sebagai sumber air utama, sangat rentan terhadap polusi akibat aktivitas manusia. Sampah plastik, sebagai polutan utama, terbawa dari sungai ke laut, yang berkontribusi pada pembentukan mikroplastik, partikel plastik kecil yang dapat bertahan ratusan hingga ribuan tahun. Penelitian ini mengkaji kualitas air dan mikroplastik di Pesisir Utara Situbondo, Jawa Timur, dengan fokus pada 10 titik sampel di sepanjang area hilir sungai. Kualitas air dinilai melalui parameter seperti pH, TSS, amonia, kekeruhan, dan salinitas. Kelimpahan dan karakteristik mikroplastik dianalisis, yang menunjukkan kelimpahan tertinggi di satu titik, dengan partikel hitam berbentuk serat kecil mendominasi. Analisis Korelasi Korespondensi Kanonik (CCA) mengidentifikasi korelasi signifikan antara kualitas air dan mikroplastik, terutama antara mikroplastik hijau dan amonia, mikroplastik hitam dan pH, serta mikroplastik transparan dengan BOD. Studi ini juga menemukan bahwa Oksigen Terlarut (DO) dan BOD memiliki pengaruh paling kuat terhadap hubungan antara kualitas air dan mikroplastik, menyoroti signifikansi ekologis temuan ini.Kata kunci: Polusi air, kualitas air, kelimpahan mikroplastik

    Case Report of Drug-Induced Gingival Overgrowth (DIGO) in Amlodipine User at Bhayangkara Brimob Hospital

    Drug-induced gingival overgrowth (DIGO) is a condition where the gingiva is abnormally enlarged caused by anticonvulsant, calcium channel blocker, and immunosuppressant drugs. Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, is used to treat hypertension and is reported to be the first drug to cause gingival overgrowth. The prevalence of gingival overgrowth induced by calcium channel blockers including amlodipine is 6%-83%. This case report was written with the aim of presenting information on the management of DIGO treatment in hypertensive patients without drug replacement also underlines the importance of integrating science-based health education in dental care to support treatment adherence and patient literacy. The 60-year-old female patient came to the Dental Clinic of Bhayangkara Brimob Hospital with the main complaint of enlarged gums since one year ago almost throughout her mouth. Gum enlargement is slow and painless, but sometimes bleeds when brushing teeth. The patient had a history of high blood pressure and was prescribed amlodipine 10 mg once a day and routinely consumed since the last 5 years. Cleaning of supra and sub-gingival tartar, prescribing chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2% mouthwash to be swished before bedtime, and motivating the patient to continue to maintain oral hygiene. Conclusion: Amlodipine is one of the drugs that cause DIGO (Drug Induced Gingival Overgrowth). Good dental hygiene and patient education have a major role in improving the condition of gingival enlargement

    Simulation of the BFS Algorithm for Determining the Shortest Route to Sawarna Beach, Banten Province

    Sawarna Beach, located in Lebak Regency, Banten Province, is a popular tourist destination. However, limited information and poor accessibility remain challenges for potential visitors. Many rely solely on general mapping services, which may not reflect the most efficient routes. This study aims to simulate the Breadth First Search (BFS) algorithm to determine the shortest travel route to Sawarna Beach. The BFS algorithm, effective for unweighted graphs, explores all vertices level by level. A simulation-based quantitative method was employed, and the system was implemented using PHP. The results reveal multiple alternative routes that could serve as references for travelers unfamiliar with the area. While shortest routes were identified, travelers are advised to consider additional factors such as traffic, road conditions, and available facilities

    Strengthening Independent Character Through P5 at State Senior High School

    This study aims to analyze the impact of the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) on the development of independent character among students at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Palas Utara. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the data. The findings indicate that P5 enhances students’ independence, as shown by their increased initiative in completing tasks, improved time management, and willingness to take on leadership roles in school projects. Teachers observed that students became more proactive and less dependent on instructions. However, challenges emerged, such as students’ initial reluctance to act independently due to past teacher-centered habits and limited access to learning materials. Strategies to overcome these issues included structured mentoring, peer collaboration, and the integration of digital tools. The study concludes that P5 provides an effective framework for fostering self-reliance and resilience, contributing to the holistic development of students in alignment with Pancasila values

    Evaluation of the Potential for Acid Mine Drainage Formation From Pit Lake Walls and its Interaction with the Aquifer System

    Pit lakes are water bodies that gradually accumulate in former open-pit mine excavations once mining operations have ceased, typically filled by rainfall, surface runoff, or infiltration from groundwater. Their existence can pose environmental challenges, particularly the development of “acid mine drainage (AMD)”, which is often indicated by low pH values and elevated levels of dissolved metals. This research focuses on evaluating the geochemical properties of pit wall rocks and the water quality within pit lakes in the Separi coal mining region of East Kalimantan. The objective is to determine the likelihood of AMD generation and assess whether contaminants may migrate into the surrounding groundwater system. Field sampling involved collecting materials from pit wall rock, water within the pit lake, adjacent surface water, and groundwater monitoring wells. Mineralogical analysis was performed using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), while elemental composition was identified through X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). Water quality parameters such as pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity, and concentrations of metals—specifically iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn)—were measured using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and ion chromatography techniques. The findings reveal that several rock samples fall into the Potentially Acid Forming (PAF) category, attributed to their low acid-neutralizing capacity and elevated sulfur content, especially in samples containing pyrite. The pit lake water was found to be acidic (pH 4.2–4.6), with high levels of Fe and Mn, suggesting active sulfide oxidation. Conversely, groundwater from nearby areas displayed more neutral pH values (5.4–6.4) and lower metal concentrations, although some locations still showed contamination risks. These results underscore the need for a comprehensive understanding of geochemical processes and highlight the importance of preventive strategies, such as isolating reactive materials, managing hydrological inputs, and consistently monitoring water quality for long-term environmental protectionDanau tambang adalah badan air yang secara bertahap terakumulasi di bekas galian tambang terbuka setelah operasi penambangan berhenti, biasanya terisi oleh curah hujan, limpasan permukaan, atau infiltrasi dari air tanah. Keberadaannya dapat menimbulkan tantangan lingkungan, khususnya perkembangan “drainase tambang asam (AAT)”, yang sering ditunjukkan oleh nilai pH rendah dan peningkatan kadar logam terlarut. Penelitian ini berfokus pada evaluasi sifat geokimia batuan dinding tambang dan kualitas air dalam danau tambang di wilayah pertambangan batubara Separi, Kalimantan Timur. Tujuannya adalah untuk menentukan kemungkinan pembentukan AAT dan menilai apakah kontaminan dapat bermigrasi ke sistem air tanah di sekitarnya. Pengambilan sampel lapangan melibatkan pengumpulan material dari batuan dinding tambang, air di dalam danau tambang, air permukaan yang berdekatan, dan sumur pemantauan air tanah. Analisis mineralogi dilakukan dengan menggunakan Difraksi Sinar-X (XRD), sedangkan komposisi unsur diidentifikasi melalui Fluoresensi Sinar-X (XRF). Parameter kualitas air seperti pH, total padatan terlarut (TDS), konduktivitas listrik, dan konsentrasi logam—khususnya besi (Fe) dan mangan (Mn)—diukur menggunakan Spektroskopi Serapan Atom (AAS) dan teknik kromatografi ion. Temuan tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa beberapa sampel batuan termasuk dalam kategori Berpotensi Membentuk Asam (PAF), yang disebabkan oleh kapasitas penetral asam yang rendah dan kandungan sulfur yang tinggi, terutama pada sampel yang mengandung pirit. Air danau galian ditemukan bersifat asam (pH 4,2–4,6), dengan kadar Fe dan Mn yang tinggi, yang menunjukkan oksidasi sulfida aktif. Sebaliknya, air tanah dari daerah sekitar menunjukkan nilai pH yang lebih netral (5,4–6,4) dan konsentrasi logam yang lebih rendah, meskipun beberapa lokasi masih menunjukkan risiko kontaminasi. Hasil ini menggarisbawahi perlunya pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang proses geokimia dan menyoroti pentingnya strategi pencegahan, seperti mengisolasi bahan reaktif, mengelola masukan hidrologi, dan secara konsisten memantau kualitas air untuk perlindungan lingkungan jangka panjang

    Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Flip Book Berbasis Augmented Reality untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPAS Materi Makan dan Dimakan

    This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR)-based Flip Book as learning media to improve students' understanding of food chain material in Elementary School Natural and Social Sciences (IPA-SD) subjects for grade V students of SDN 1 Munggu. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach that adapts the Borg and Gall model with eight stages, namely needs analysis, product design, expert validation, product revision, product trials, and field trials, namely with pretest and posttest data. This AR-based flipbook obtained a media validation assessment of 93.75% with a very feasible category and material validation which obtained 88.75% with a very feasible category. Data collection using pre-test and post-test was carried out in two groups, namely large groups (N = 20) and small groups (N = 8). The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, as indicated by statistical analysis that showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.05). The N-Gain (Normalized Gain) value criteria for measuring learning effectiveness are generally categorized as low (<0.3), medium (0.3 ≤ N-Gain ≤ 0.7), and high (>0.7). In this media development, an N-gain of 0.38 was obtained which is included in the medium criteria, this indicates that the AR-based Flip Book is effective in increasing understanding, but further development is needed to get the optimal impact.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi efektivitas Flip Book berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang rantai makanan pada mata pelajaran IPA SD kelas V SDN 1 Munggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model Borg and Gall dengan delapan tahapan yaitu analisis kebutuhan, desain produk, validasi ahli, revisi produk, dan uji lapangan. Flipbook berbasis AR ini memperoleh hasil penilaian validasi media sebesar 93,75% dengan kategori sangat layak dan validasi materi sebesar 88,75% dengan kategori sangat layak. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode pre-test dan post-test yang dilakukan pada dua kelompok yaitu kelompok besar (N=20) dan kelompok kecil (N=8). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan, dibuktikan dengan hasil analisis statistik yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test (p < 0,05). N-gain sebesar 0,38 yang termasuk dalam kriteria sedang, analisis Skor N-Gain mengklasifikasikan peningkatan pembelajaran sebagai sedang, yang menunjukkan bahwa meskipun Flip Book berbasis AR secara efektif meningkatkan pemahaman, pengembangan lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk dampak yang optimal. Penelitian ini mendukung Teori Pembelajaran Multimedia, yang menekankan bahwa elemen interaktif dan visual dalam pembelajaran digital dapat meningkatkan pemrosesan kognitif. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa mengintegrasikan teknologi AR dalam pendidikan dapat menjembatani kesenjangan antara pemahaman teoritis dan praktis, membuat konsep abstrak lebih mudah diakses oleh siswa.           &nbsp

    The Development of Android-Based Learning Media for the CAD Pattern Making Course at Universitas Negeri Padang

    This research aims to develop Android-based learning media in the CAD Pattern Making course in response to students' difficulties in understanding the functions of certain tools, such as pleats and cut a part, used in drawing fashion patterns digitally. Previous learning media in the form of video tutorials and job sheets in UNP e-learning are considered less interactive and difficult to access through Android devices, even though the majority of students use Android smartphones in the learning process. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), but is limited to the development stage. Media validity was tested by three media experts and three material experts using a validation sheet instrument and analyzed by Aiken's V formula. The validation results showed a score of 0.95 from media experts and 0.99 from material experts, including a very valid category. The developed application presents material in the form of text, videos, interactive quizzes, job sheets, and discussion features. This finding shows that the media is valid in content and design to be used in the context of CAD Pattern Making learning in the D3 Fashion Management Study Program at Padang State University, although the effectiveness of its use on improving learning outcomes has not been tested empirically

    Analysis of Total Protein and Non-Protein Nitrogen in Durian Seeds and Durian Flour Using the Kjeldahl Method

    Durian seeds, often regarded as agricultural waste, contain notable amounts of macronutrients, particularly proteins, that warrant further exploration for potential food and feed applications. This study aimed to evaluate the total nitrogen, protein, and non-protein nitrogen (NPN) contents in fresh and processed seeds of three local durian (Durio zibethinus) cultivars Bintana, Pelangi, and Bawor using the Kjeldahl method. Fresh seeds and their corresponding flours were analyzed for moisture content, total nitrogen, and protein fractions, including actual protein and NPN levels. The results revealed significant variations across cultivars and between fresh and processed samples. Bintana exhibited the highest protein content in both fresh and flour forms, followed by Pelangi and Bawor. Processing, including soaking, drying, and flour preparation, was found to increase measurable protein content but may also contribute to protein denaturation. Overall, durian seeds, particularly from the Bintana variety, demonstrate promising nutritional potential as a functional food ingredient or alternative protein source

    Pelatihan Pembuatan Produk Sederhana Berbasis Kimia Bahan Alam untuk Guru IPA Sekolah Menengah Atas

    Guru IPA di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) seringkali menghadapi keterbatasan dalam menyajikan praktikum kimia yang menarik dan kontekstual, terutama terkait pemanfaatan bahan alam. Kurangnya pelatihan dan sumber daya membuat pembelajaran kimia terkesan abstrak dan kurang aplikatif. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan pembuatan produk sederhana berbasis kimia bahan alam dirancang untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan praktikum yang inovatif dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang prinsip kimia bahan alam, (2) melatih guru membuat produk sederhana (seperti sabun, lilin, atau ekstrak essensial) dari bahan alam, dan (3) mendorong penerapan praktikum berbasis proyek (PjBL) di kelas. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop hybrid (luring dan daring) selama dua hari, meliputi: (1) penyampaian materi kimia bahan alam dan keselamatan kerja, (2) demonstrasi pembuatan produk, (3) praktik mandiri oleh peserta dengan pendampingan, serta (4) evaluasi melalui diskusi dan kuesioner. Peserta terdiri dari 30 guru IPA SMA dari berbagai daerah. Peserta berhasil membuat produk berbahan alam. Selain itu, peserta menyatakan kesiapan untuk menerapkan praktikum serupa di sekolah mereka. Pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan guru karena menggabungkan pendekatan teoritis dan praktik langsung. Produk yang dihasilkan juga mudah direplikasi di sekolah dengan biaya rendah. Tantangan utama adalah ketersediaan bahan alam yang bervariasi di tiap daerah, sehingga perlu disusun modul alternatif berbasis bahan lokal. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberdayakan guru IPA SMA untuk mengintegrasikan kimia bahan alam ke dalam pembelajaran. Dampak jangka panjangnya adalah peningkatan minat siswa terhadap kimia melalui praktikum yang aplikatif dan berkelanjutan

    Pelatihan Pembuatan Akuarium sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Keterampilan dan Kesadaran Ekologis Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Kelautan Buton

    Abstract: This community service activity aims to enhance the skills of students from the Institute of Marine Technology Buton (ITKB) in aquarium construction and to instill ecological awareness. The training involves six lecturers with expertise in aquaculture, biotechnology, and fisheries, and is conducted on January 17, 2025, at the ITKB campus. Participants consist of students interested in aquariums as a medium for education, aesthetics, and business opportunities. The training material includes techniques for selecting materials, assembling aquariums, and applying environmentally friendly aquarium concepts based on aquaponic systems. Evaluation results show a significant improvement in students' technical skills in aquarium construction, awareness of the importance of maintaining aquatic ecosystems, and their understanding of aquarium-based business opportunities. Additionally, this training encourages student innovation in sustainable aquarium design. This program is expected to contribute to enhancing students' competencies and supporting the development of ecology-based fisheries industries.Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Kelautan Buton (ITKB) dalam pembuatan akuarium serta menanamkan kesadaran ekologis. Pelatihan ini melibatkan enam dosen dengan keahlian di bidang akuakultur, bioteknologi, dan perikanan, serta dilaksanakan pada 17 Januari 2025 di kampus ITKB. Peserta terdiri dari mahasiswa yang memiliki minat terhadap akuarium sebagai media edukasi, estetika, dan peluang usaha. Materi pelatihan mencakup teknik pemilihan bahan, perakitan akuarium, serta penerapan konsep akuarium ramah lingkungan berbasis sistem aquaponik. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan teknis mahasiswa dalam pembuatan akuarium, kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga ekosistem air, serta pemahaman mereka terhadap peluang usaha berbasis akuarium. Selain itu, pelatihan ini juga mendorong inovasi mahasiswa dalam desain akuarium yang berkelanjutan. Program ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa dan mendukung pengembangan industri perikanan berbasis ekologi. &nbsp
