    Relationship between Adversity Intelligence, Communication Skills and Digital Literacy with Biology Learning Outcomes of State High School Students in Enrekang Regency

    This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of biology phase E students of State High Schools in Enrekang Regency. This study aims to analyze the relationship between adversity intelligence, communication skills, and digital literacy with biology learning outcomes. Using quantitative methods of ex post facto type.  The population was 1205 phase E students with a sample of 300 students selected by proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and multiplechoice tests and the data were analyzed using regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that adversity intelligence has a significant relationship to learning outcomes with a sig value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a contribution of 30%; communication skills have a significant relationship to learning outcomes with a sig value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a contribution of 19.9%; digital literacy has a significant relationship to learning outcomes with a sig value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a contribution of 18.5%; adversity intelligence variables, communication skills and digital literacy together have a significant relationship to biology learning outcomes with a sig value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a contribution of 37.8%.Penelitian ini dilakukan karena rendahnya hasil belajar biologi peserta didik Fase E di SMA Negeri Kabupaten Enrekang, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan kecerdasan adversitas, keterampilan komunikasi, dan literasi digital dengan hasil belajar biologi. Penelitian dengan metode kuantitatif jenis ex post facto . Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket dan tes hasil belajar kognitif. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi SPSS Versi 24 untuk analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan adversitas, keterampilan komunikasi, literasi digital berapa pada kategori tinggi dan hasil belajar biologi pada kategori rendah. Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara kecerdasan adversitas, keterampilan komunikasi dan literasi digital terdapat dengan hasil belajar

    Colchicine Colchicine-Induced Phenotypic Alterations in Dendrobium 'Transient White Rika' and 'Florenza': Valuable Material for Genetics-Based Learning Modules

    This study investigates the phenotypic alterations in Dendrobium 'Transient White Rika' (RKA) and 'Florenza' (FLO) orchids resulting from colchicine-induced polyploidy during in vitro cultivation. Colchicine, a known mitotic inhibitor, was applied at varying concentrations (0 ppm, 4000 ppm, 5000 ppm, 6000 ppm) to induce chromosome doubling and assess its impact on the vegetative and generative phases of the orchids. A factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) was employed to analyze the effects of these treatments. The study revealed significant variations in leaf length and color, particularly at higher colchicine concentrations. Morphological changes were most pronounced at 6000 ppm, where the leaf length decreased, and flower morphology exhibited unique features compared to the control. The study also observed a reduction in stomatal density as colchicine concentration increased, correlating with an enlargement of leaf epidermal cells. These findings indicate that colchicine treatment can effectively induce phenotypic changes in Dendrobium orchids, contributing to the development of hybrids with superior ornamental qualities. However, the study also notes that the response to colchicine is variable, with certain parameters like the number of new shoots and leaf width not showing significant changes. The results underscore the potential of colchicine-induced polyploidy in orchid breeding, though further research is necessary to optimize treatment protocols and ensure the stability and viability of the resulting hybrids. These findings may serve as valuable material for genetics-based learning modules in biology.Penelitian ini menyelidiki perubahan fenotipik pada anggrek Dendrobium 'Transient White Rika' (RKA) dan 'Florenza' (FLO) akibat poliploidi yang diinduksi kolkisin selama budidaya in vitro. Colchicine, yang dikenal sebagai penghambat mitosis, diaplikasikan pada berbagai konsentrasi (0 ppm, 4000 ppm, 5000 ppm, 6000 ppm) untuk menginduksi penggandaan kromosom dan menilai dampaknya terhadap fase vegetatif dan generatif anggrek. Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial digunakan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perlakuan ini. Studi ini mengungkapkan variasi yang signifikan pada panjang dan warna daun, terutama pada konsentrasi colchicine yang lebih tinggi. Perubahan morfologi paling menonjol pada 6000 ppm, dimana panjang daun berkurang, dan morfologi bunga menunjukkan ciri-ciri yang unik dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Studi ini juga mengamati penurunan kepadatan stomata seiring dengan peningkatan konsentrasi colchicine, berkorelasi dengan pembesaran sel epidermis daun. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan kolkisin dapat secara efektif menginduksi perubahan fenotipik pada anggrek Dendrobium, sehingga berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan hibrida dengan kualitas hias yang unggul. Namun penelitian ini juga mencatat bahwa respons terhadap kolkisin bervariasi, dengan parameter tertentu seperti jumlah tunas baru dan lebar daun tidak menunjukkan perubahan signifikan. Hasil ini menggarisbawahi potensi poliploidi yang disebabkan oleh kolkisin dalam pemuliaan anggrek, meskipun penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengoptimalkan protokol pengobatan dan memastikan stabilitas dan kelangsungan hidup hibrida yang dihasilkan.           &nbsp

    The Influence of Learning Models and Formative Tests on Students Science Learning Outcomes

    Science learning requires learning that is not only centered on the teacher (teacher centered), but must also be centered on students (student centered) (Zulfikar: 2021). This study is a type of true experimental research that aims to determine the effect of learning models and formative tests on the science learning outcomes of students of class VIII of SMPN 3 Majene. The independent variables in this research are the probing prompting and problem-based learning models. The moderator variables are objective and subjective formative tests, while the dependent variable is the learning outcome. The population is all students in class VIII of SMPN 3 Majene at the eight classes. The sample for this research consisted of four classes. The four sample classes are experimental classes with 120 students. Data collection was carried out using science learning outcomes tests. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential analyses, especially two-way ANOVA analyses. The results of inferential analysis on the hypothesis show that there is influence between the learning model and formative tests on students science learning outcome

    A Digital-Based Practical Guide to Encourage Students' Critical Thinking Skills

    This research aims to develop a digital-based practicum guide to stimulate the critical thinking skills of high school students on cell structure materials. This research uses the 4D model development method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), which consists of the stages of defining needs, product design, development, and dissemination. The product is developed in the form of an interactive flipbook that contains videos, images, critical thinking simulation questions, and answer links. The validation results showed that the digital-based practicum guide was declared very valid by media experts with a score of 97 and by material experts with a score of 95. The practicality test involving 74 students showed an average score of 90 in the "very practical" category. This guide is considered effective because it facilitates self-paced learning, is easily accessible, and increases student engagement through interactive features. The discussion of the results shows that this guide can support the student learning process, increase motivation, and provide an interesting and meaningful learning experience. This study concludes that the digital-based practicum guide that was developed is valid, practical, and feasible to be used to support biology learning that trains critical thinking skills

    Tea Grounds and Coffee Grounds Support Sustainable Growth of Mustard Plants

    The concept of organic farming is an effort to maintain optimal levels of environmentally friendly production. Therefore, this research aims to determine the effect of adding tea dregs and coffee dregs to compost media alone or mixed as additional nutrients on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.).  This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 3 replications, namely compost without tea dregs and coffee dregs as control (P0). The research data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) at a significance level of 5%. The results of the research obtained were that giving tea dregs and coffee dregs to the mustard plant planting medium obtained positive results. Single application of tea dregs had a significant effect on plant height (9.80 cm) and number of leaves (7.5). The treatment with tea dregs also had a significantly different effect from the control and other treatments. Meanwhile, coffee grounds alone contributed to a plant height of 7.1 cm and a number of leaves of 3.75, where the results obtained were not significantly different from the control and other treatments. However, overall, both single and mixed treatments had no significant effect on plant root length. The results of the ANOVA analysis for growth with the mustard plant height parameter obtained a value of Fcount of 4.496 > Ftable, namely 3.49, the parameter number of leaf blades Fcount 8.757 > Ftable, namely 3.49, and the root length parameter Fcount 0.367 < Ftable 3.49

    Evaluation of Higher-Order Thinking Skills of Middle School Students on Vibration and Wave Topic Using Rasch Measurement

    Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) are crucial in science education, yet students often struggle to master them, particularly in complex topics such as vibrations and waves. This study aimed to evaluate the HOTS performance of 165 eighth-grade students from five schools in Purbolinggo Sub-district, East Lampung, using a two-tier multiple-choice test analyzed through the Rasch Measurement Model. The test consisted of 12 items, each with a content question and a reasoning tier, adapted from Treagust (1988) and validated through expert judgment. Rasch analysis indicated that most students demonstrated low HOTS ability, especially in the creating domain (C6), involving generating novel ideas or solutions. In contrast, analyzing (C4) and evaluating (C5) were relatively easier but still reflected limited mastery. The highest difficulty appeared in questions requiring divergent thinking and complex synthesis. Item fit statistics showed good instrument validity (person reliability = 0.93; item reliability = 0.83). These findings highlight the importance of implementing learning strategies that foster creativity and synthesis, such as problem-based learning or project-based approaches. The study was limited to one geographic area, which may restrict generalizability. Future research should explore broader contexts and incorporate qualitative data to deepen understanding of HOTS development in science

    Kepuasan Pasien terhadap Pelayanan Kesehatan Gigi dan Mulut pada Praktik Kedokteran Gigi Mandiri di Kota Medan Tahun 2025

    Patient satisfaction is a crucial indicator of healthcare service quality, particularly in dental and oral health services. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing patient satisfaction in an independent dental practice in Medan. A quantitative, descriptive-analytic approach was used, involving 50 patients who completed a structured questionnaire assessing various service dimensions, including timeliness, dentist competence, communication, and facility conditions. The findings indicate that dentist expertise had the highest impact on satisfaction, followed by responsiveness and communication. Statistical analysis revealed a significant correlation between service quality and patient satisfaction, with the strongest association found in professional expertise. Based on these results, recommendations include implementing a digital appointment system to optimize patient flow, providing continuous training for dentists on technical skills and patient interaction, and upgrading clinic facilities to improve patient comfort. Regular satisfaction surveys are also suggested for ongoing service evaluation and improvement. This study contributes by providing recent data in the post-pandemic dental care context in Medan.Abstrak:Kepuasan pasien merupakan indikator penting kualitas layanan kesehatan, khususnya dalam layanan kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kepuasan pasien di praktik gigi independen di Medan. Pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif-analitis digunakan, melibatkan 50 pasien yang menyelesaikan kuesioner terstruktur yang menilai berbagai dimensi layanan, termasuk ketepatan waktu, kompetensi dokter gigi, komunikasi, dan kondisi fasilitas. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa keahlian dokter gigi memiliki dampak tertinggi pada kepuasan, diikuti oleh daya tanggap dan komunikasi. Sementara sebagian besar pasien puas dengan layanan, muncul kekhawatiran mengenai waktu tunggu dan fasilitas klinik. Analisis statistik mengungkapkan korelasi yang signifikan antara kualitas layanan dan kepuasan pasien, dengan hubungan terkuat ditemukan dalam keahlian profesional. Berdasarkan hasil ini, rekomendasi meliputi penerapan sistem janji temu digital untuk mengoptimalkan arus pasien, memberikan pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi dokter gigi tentang keterampilan teknis dan interaksi pasien, dan meningkatkan fasilitas klinik untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan pasien. Survei kepuasan rutin juga disarankan untuk evaluasi dan peningkatan layanan yang berkelanjutan. Temuan ini menyoroti perlunya pendekatan yang berpusat pada pasien dalam perawatan gigi, dengan menekankan kecakapan teknis dan pengalaman positif pasien untuk meningkatkan kepuasan dan kepercayaan secara keseluruhan terhadap praktik gigi independen. &nbsp

    Development of android-based interactive learning media to improve student learning outcomes in class XII MIPA SMA

    This research aims to develop android-based interactive learning media that meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness for Mathematics class XII IPA. This media is expected to increase students' understanding, motivation, and independence in learning in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes. The method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE approach, which includes the stages of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The main data sources came from validators, teachers, and students, analyzed descriptively to measure aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the media. The validation results showed a high level of feasibility, with a score of 98% for media aspects, 85% for materials, and 95% for language. The practicality of the media was also rated very high by 99% teachers and 94% students. The effectiveness test resulted in a gain score value of 0.68 categorized as high, and the t-test showed difference between the pre-test and post-test results (Sig. 0.000 <0.05), evidenced by a significant increase in the average student learning outcomes, from 67.00 to 90.00. Based on these findings, this interactive media is feasible to be used in learning mathematics class XII IPA SMA as a means to improve student learning outcomes

    The Diversity index and Importance Value of Herbaceous Vegetation in the Joko Tarub Forest Tuban

    This study aims to determine the diversity index and the importance value index of herbaceous plants found around the Joko Tarub Forest Tuban. The type of research is quantitative descriptive with a sampling method using the quadrat technique. The quadrates were made with a size of 1 x 1 m as many as 10, as a measurement area. The data collection technique was carried out by recording the names of plants and their numbers found in each quadrat. In addition, the area covered by each plant in the quadrat was also calculated. The data analysis was carried out by calculating the density of species, dominance, and frequency as a basis for calculating the important value index. In addition, the Shannon-Wienner diversity index was also calculated to determine the level of diversity of herbaceous plants living in the area. From the results of this study, 10 types of herbaceous plants were found which are included in 9 Families. Of the 10 types of plants found, those with a high importance value index are Synedrella nodiflora and Crassocephalum crepidioides with values ​​of 53.61 and 44.37 respectively. The herbaceous plant diversity index in the region is in the moderate with a value of 1.89Abstract:  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui indeks keragaman dan nilai penting masing-masing tanaman herba yang terdapat di kawasan Hutan wisata Joko Tarub. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode pengambilan sampel dengan teknik kuadrat. Kuadrat dibuat dengan ukuran 1 x 1 m sebanyak 10 plot. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mencatat nama-nama tumbuhan beserta jumlahnya yang ditemukan pada setiap plot percobaan. Selain itu juga dihitung luas penutupan  are oleh masing-masing tumbuhan yang terdapat di dalam plot. Adapaun teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung kerapatan jenis, dominansi, dan frekuensi sebagai dasar untuk menghitung indeks nilai penting dari masing-masing spesies. Selain itu dihitung juga indeks keanekaragam Shannon-Wienner untuk mengetahui tingkat keanekaragaman tumbuhan herba yang hidup di wilayah tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan 10 jenis tumbuhan herba yang termasuk ke dalam 9 Famili. Dari 10 jenis tumbuhan herba yang ditemukan, yang memiliki indeks nilai penting tinggi adalah Synedrella nodiflora dan Crassocephalum crepidioides dengan nilai masing-masing 53,61 dan 44,37.     Research at SD Negeri Wonosari 03 Semarang City identified the problem of limited concrete learning media and low student learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences subjects. To overcome this problem, the researcher developed and tested the Happy Notes PERUGI (Perubahan Energi) learning media based on Problem Based Learning. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall model through 10 stages (research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational fiel testing, final product revision, dissemination and implemention) as well as data collection through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of media validation by material and media experts show percentages of 83.3 and 87.5%, which are classified as very feasible. The calculation of N-Gain yields a value of 85.49%, with a high criterion. Thus, this learning media is declared to be very feasible and effective to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students at SD Negeri Wonosari 03.berdasarkan hasil obervasi yang dilakukan peneliti di SD Negeri Wonosari 03 Kota Semarang ditemukan permasalahan berupa keterbatasan media pembelajaran konkret dan hasil belajar siswa yang masih berada pada ketergori rendah pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, peneliti bermaksud untuk mengembangkan, menguji kelayakan dan menguji keefektifan media pembelajaran Happy Notes PERUGI berbasis Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Wonosari 03 Kota Semarang khususnya pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model Borg and Gall dengan menggunakan 10 tahap. Pengumpulan data melalui obeservasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penilaian produk berupa validasi media pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh ahli di bidang materi dan ahli bidang media dengan persentase 83,3% dan 87,5% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil perhitungan N-Gain didapatkan nilai sebesar 85,49% dengan kriteria tinggi. Maka media pembelajaran Happy Notes PERUGI berbasis Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Wonosari 03 Kota Semarang dapat dikatakan sangat layak dan efektif untuk diterapkan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar sisw
