    Development of iSpring Suite 11 Assisted RME Learning Media to Enhance Students’ Mathematical Critical Thinking Skills

    Students’ mathematical critical thinking skills remains low due to teacher-centered instruction, limited use of interactive digital media, and insufficient contextual learning experiences. Previous studies indicate that the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach can support students’ reasoning, but its integration with interactive digital platforms such as iSpring Suite 11 has not been widely explored. This study addresses that gap by developing an RME-based interactive learning media assisted by iSpring Suite 11 for the topic of linear equations in two variables. The research used a Research and Development design with the ADDIE model. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and a mathematical critical thinking skills test. Participants included media experts, material experts, instructional design experts, and 33 ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 8 Tasikmalaya. Data analysis covered feasibility evaluation, practicality assessment, and effectiveness testing using the N-gain formula. The results show that the media was rated highly feasible by all experts, received very positive responses from students, and effectively improved mathematical critical thinking skills with an average N-gain score of 0.73, categorized as high. These findings demonstrate that iSpring Suite 11–assisted RME media provides meaningful learning experiences by combining contextual problem-solving with interactive digital features. The developed media can serve as an alternative digital tool to support mathematics instruction and strengthen students’ mathematical critical thinking skills

    Penguatan kemandirian finansial kader kesehatan melalui kewirausahaan layanan kunjungan rumah (home care) baby spa

    Prevalensi stunting di Indonesia masih tinggi, sementara akses layanan kesehatan bayi yang terjangkau masih terbatas. Di sisi lain, potensi kader kesehatan perempuan dapat dioptimalkan melalui penguatan kapasitas teknis dan kewirausahaan untuk menghadirkan layanan berbasis rumah yang relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Tujuan utama program ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader kesehatan dalam memberikan layanan home care baby spa sebagai upaya menurunkan prevalensi stunting melalui pendekatan berbasis komunitas. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan teknis pijat bayi dan hidroterapi sederhana, serta pelatihan kewirausahaan yang mencakup manajemen usaha dan pemasaran digital. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur perubahan tingkat pengetahuan, serta observasi langsung selama praktik untuk menilai peningkatan keterampilan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kapasitas kader. Sebelum pelatihan, mayoritas peserta berada pada kategori kurang, sementara setelah pelatihan sebagian besar mencapai kategori baik dan terampil. Kader juga berhasil menyusun rencana usaha sederhana serta mulai memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi layanan. Efektivitas pendekatan partisipatif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas teknis dan kewirausahaan kader. Peningkatan keterampilan dan pengetahuan tidak hanya berdampak pada aspek individu, tetapi juga berpotensi memperluas akses layanan kesehatan bayi di tingkat komunitas serta memperkuat peran perempuan dalam wirausaha kesehatan. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa penguatan kapasitas kader melalui pelatihan teknis dan kewirausahaan dapat menjadi strategi yang relevan untuk mendukung penurunan prevalensi stunting dan memperkuat ketahanan keluarga melalui layanan kesehatan bayi berbasis komunitas

    Teachers leadership in encouraging the implementation of deep learning through internal training programs at kindergarten children Ceria Bandung

    This study examines how teacher leadership supports the implementation of deep learning through Internal Training (IHT) in an early childhood education setting. The research is grounded in the need for practice-based professional development that enables early childhood teachers to design learning experiences that are meaningful, play-centered, and inquiry-oriented. Conducted at Kindergarten Anak Ceria Bandung, the study employs a descriptive qualitative approach involving classroom teachers and the school principal, who work collaboratively as facilitators and instructional coaches. Data were collected over a three-month period through classroom observations, IHT observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings show that teacher facilitators assume multiple leadership roles, including motivating peers, collaborating in lesson planning, modeling developmentally appropriate instructional strategies, and guiding reflective dialogue through structured tools such as the 2+1 feedback protocol. Techniques such as Think–Pair–Share, gallery walks, and micro-coaching help establish a supportive professional culture that promotes innovation and shared pedagogical growth. The study also identifies notable improvements in classroom climate and child engagement following the adoption of deep learning practices. As teachers reduce worksheet-driven routines and introduce open-ended play, thematic learning centers, and inquiry-based activities, children demonstrate higher levels of curiosity, confidence, and sustained involvement in learning. They participate more actively in discussions, explore materials with greater purpose, and collaborate constructively with peers. These patterns illustrate how deep learning principles nurture cognitive, social, and emotional development through hands-on exploration and meaningful interaction. The study highlights that sustainable improvement in early childhood education grows from within teacher communities. Strengthening professional collaboration not only builds collective capacity but also enhances teachers’ commitment to creating learning environments that nurture deep, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate engagement among young children

    The increasing rate of divorce in Muslim societies, including Indonesia, reflects a deepening crisis of the family institution in the context of modern social change. While Islamic jurisprudence permits divorce as a last resort, many existing studies approach the issue normatively, focusing on doctrinal classifications without adequately addressing contemporary socio-legal realities. This study aims to examine divorce through the lens of legal maxims (qawāʿid fiqhiyyah) and to demonstrate their relevance in responding to the crisis of Muslim families from a maqāṣid-oriented perspective. Using library research with a normative–conceptual approach, this study analyzes classical fiqh literature, contemporary legal scholarship, and selected decisions of Religious Courts in Indonesia. The findings show that key legal maxims—al-ḍarar yuzāl, al-masyaqqah tajlib al-taysīr, dar’ al-mafāsid awlā min jalb al-maṣāliḥ, and al-‘ādah muḥakkamah—function not merely as normative justifications for divorce, but as methodological tools for assessing harm, hardship, and public interest in concrete divorce cases. The novelty of this study lies in repositioning legal maxims as an analytical framework that bridges classical Islamic legal principles with contemporary judicial practice and maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. This approach contributes theoretically to the development of Islamic family law and practically to a more contextual, just, and human-centered adjudication of divorce in modern Muslim societies. Abstrak Meningkatnya angka perceraian di masyarakat Muslim, termasuk di Indonesia, mencerminkan krisis institusi keluarga dalam konteks perubahan sosial modern. Meskipun perceraian dibolehkan dalam fikih sebagai jalan terakhir, sebagian besar kajian yang ada masih bersifat normatif-deskriptif dan belum secara memadai merespons kompleksitas persoalan keluarga kontemporer. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perceraian melalui perspektif kaidah fikih (qawāʿid fiqhiyyah) serta menegaskan relevansinya dalam menjawab krisis keluarga Muslim secara maqāṣid-oriented. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan normatif-konseptual terhadap literatur fikih klasik, kajian hukum Islam kontemporer, dan putusan-putusan Pengadilan Agama di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kaidah-kaidah utama seperti al-ḍarar yuzāl, al-masyaqqah tajlib al-taysīr, dar’ al-mafāsid awlā min jalb al-maṣāliḥ, dan al-‘ādah muḥakkamah tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai dasar normatif perceraian, tetapi juga sebagai kerangka analitis untuk menilai kemaslahatan dan pencegahan kemudaratan dalam praktik hukum. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penempatan kaidah fikih sebagai pendekatan metodologis yang mengintegrasikan norma fikih, maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah, dan realitas sosial kontemporer. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada penguatan kajian hukum keluarga Islam dan memberikan implikasi praktis bagi peradilan agama dalam mewujudkan putusan perceraian yang lebih adil, kontekstual, dan berorientasi pada perlindungan pihak rentan. Kata kunci: Perceraian, Kaidah Fikih, Hukum Pernikahan.Tingginya angka perceraian di masyarakat Muslim, termasuk Indonesia, menunjukkan bahwa persoalan keluarga modern semakin kompleks dan membutuhkan pendekatan hukum Islam yang lebih adaptif. Penelitian ini merumuskan masalah mengenai bagaimana kaidah fikih—al-ḍarar yuzāl, al-masyaqqah tajlib al-taysīr, dar’ al-mafāsid awlā, dan al-‘ādah muḥakkamah—dapat diterapkan dalam penyelesaian perkara perceraian dan relevansinya terhadap kebutuhan keluarga saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan konsep perceraian dalam fikih serta menganalisis peran kaidah-kaidah tersebut dalam praktik hukum modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan normatif dan analisis terhadap sumber-sumber fikih klasik, literatur kontemporer, dan putusan peradilan agama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kaidah fikih memberi fleksibilitas dalam memutuskan perceraian, terutama dalam kasus kemudaratan, kesulitan ekonomi, perlindungan anak, serta penentuan nafkah berdasarkan adat. Dengan demikian, kaidah fikih terbukti mampu memberikan dasar hukum yang lebih responsif dan sesuai dengan realitas keluarga modern.     Bureaucratic transformation in realizing responsive and accountable public services

    Indonesia’s bureaucratic reform aims to create a clean, effective, transparent, and accountable government, as outlined in the Bureaucratic Reform Grand Design 2010–2025. This study analyzes the bureaucratic transformation undertaken by the Batu City DPMPTSP as an implementation of good governance principles at the local level. The analysis focuses on three interrelated dimensions: structural–procedural, cultural, and relational, as well as their impacts on improving the quality, responsiveness, and accountability of public services. Using a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings show that the Batu City DPMPTSP successfully restructured its organization into a more agile and adaptive model by simplifying 130 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) into 62 and integrating digital platforms such as OSS, SIMBG, and the Among Warga Digital Public Service Mall. Culturally, the bureaucracy has shifted from a rigid hierarchical pattern to a more collaborative work culture focused on public service, supported by the internalization of BerAKHLAK values. Relationally, interactions between the bureaucracy and the community have evolved from transactional patterns to participatory ones through innovative programs such as Njagong Bareng, Investment Clinic, and MAMPIR BOSS. This transformation has significantly improved service performance, reflected in the increase in the Public Satisfaction Index (IKM) from 85.51 to 91.19 and the rise in realized investment from IDR 1.532 trillion in 2023 to IDR 2.056 trillion in 2024. These findings confirm that holistic and dynamically governed bureaucratic reforms can create public services that are responsive, transparent, and trustworthy. This study provides valuable insights for the development of bureaucratic reform theory and can serve as a model for other regions seeking to implement better governance practices

    Enhancing undergraduate EFL students’ research-related writing skills through a mini e-book chapter project

    It is important for the university students to develop research-related academic writing skills as they need to prepare themselves to write a thesis proposal and other forms of academic writing communication. However, many still struggle to show comprehension and express basic research elements in writing, even after completing academic writing courses. Even though previous studies have shown Project-Based Learning (PjBL)’s effectiveness to enhance general writing performance and 21st-century skills, not much research in ELT higher education has focused on the use of PjBL for research-related writing in content courses. This gap suggests that students may not yet receive sufficient opportunities to practice research-related writing in meaningful and contextualized ways. To address this issue, the present study examined the effectiveness of a PjBL mini e-book chapter project in enhancing undergraduate EFL students’ research-related academic writing skills in a Designing Research in ELT course. A mixed-methods explanatory sequential design was employed involving 24 fourth-semester English education students at a public university in Malang.  In addition to students’ reflections and interview responses, their learning gains were measured through pre- and post-tests. The findings suggest that the project had a meaningful impact on their writing performance. The mean scores increased from 69.69 to 79.74, and the paired-sample t-test indicates a significant improvement (p < .001) and has a large effect size (Cohen’s d = 1.02). Qualitative findings further confirmed improvements in research literacy, motivation, and 4Cs. These results highlight the potential of PjBL as an instructional innovation for strengthening research-related academic writing skills in similar EFL contexts

    From accuracy to fluency: Exploring EFL teachers’ perceptions of speaking assessment in pesantren-based school context

    This study was motivated by the gap between the ideal framework of speaking assessment, which emphasizes grammatical accuracy as a primary indicator, and classroom practice in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), where fluency and confidence are often prioritized over linguistic accuracy. Accordingly, this study explores EFL teachers’ perceptions of grammatical accuracy in speaking assessment and how these perceptions influence the design and implementation of assessment rubrics. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with three EFL teachers teaching at the elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels. The findings reveal that although grammatical accuracy is acknowledged as important, teachers tend to prioritize effective communication, fluency, and speaking confidence. The assessment rubrics applied are flexible and adapted to students’ backgrounds, proficiency levels, and learning needs. The study also confirms that teachers’ prior learning experiences, professional training, and personal beliefs significantly shape their assessment practices. However, the limited number of participants and the specific institutional context restrict the generalizability of the findings. The study highlights the importance of teacher training that promotes a holistic and contextual approach to speaking assessment, as such an approach may enhance learners’ communicative confidence, reduce speaking anxiety, and foster more active participation in English use within the pesantren environment. Future research is recommended to examine the long-term effects of improved speaking assessment practices on graduates’ social engagement and future opportunities

    Pemberdayaan peternak melalui diseminasi teknologi silase rumput pakchong (Pennisetum purpureum cv Thailand)

    Keterbatasan bahan pakan hijauan berkualitas pada musim kemarau menjadi hambatan utama produktivitas usaha ternak rakyat di Desa Sumberurip, Kecamatan Doko, Kabupaten Blitar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan ketahanan pakan lokal melalui diseminasi teknologi pembuatan silase berbasis Rumput Pakchong (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Thailand) yang diberi aditif pollard, molasses, dan inokulan EM4. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif (Participatory Learning and Action) meliputi survei kebutuhan, penyuluhan, demonstrasi lapang (demplot), praktik pembuatan silase, dan monitoring pasca-pelatihan. Evaluasi meliputi perubahan pengetahuan (pre-test/post-test), kualitas fisik silase (warna, aroma, tekstur, pH), serta observasi adopsi awal oleh 21 peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dari 65% peserta memahami konsep silase menjadi 100% setelah intervensi; silase yang dihasilkan memenuhi kriteria organoleptik dan pH (≈4,0–4,2). Selain itu, terdapat indikasi awal perubahan perilaku berupa peningkatan kesiapan mencoba teknologi (intent-to-adopt), praktik pembuatan mandiri pada 6 kelompok kecil, dan pergeseran motivasi dari sekadar 'tabungan darurat' menuju pemikiran produktivitas yang lebih berorientasi bisnis. Analisis mendalam mengaitkan efektivitas intervensi dengan faktor-faktor: (1) relevansi teknologi terhadap kebutuhan musiman, (2) kemudahan rekayasa teknis (bahan lokal + silo sederhana), (3) pembelajaran langsung (demplot & praktik), dan (4) insentif awal berupa bantuan kecil (EM4 dan silo). Temuan ini merekomendasikan skala-up yang memprioritaskan pendampingan berkala, integrasi teknik pengolahan limbah pertanian, dan studi ekonomi lanjut untuk mengukur dampak produktivitas dan profitabilitas

    Evaluating the Role of Atropine Sulphate in Preventing Motion-Related Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting in Patients Undergoing Cesarean Section using ERACS Protocol

    ABSTRACT Background: PONV is common after cesarean section using ERACS protocol. Motion-related PONV during early mobilization can impair comfort and delay recovery. Anticholinergic agents such as atropine sulphate have antiemetic effects via muscarinic receptor antagonism, especially when vestibular pathways are involved, but their intravenous use for motion-related PONV prevention remains underexplored. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of intravenous atropine sulphate in reducing motion-related PONV within two hours postoperatively in patients undergoing cesarean section. Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional analysis was carried out involving 30 patients at a private hospital in Sidoarjo, Indonesia (May–June 2025). Patients were assigned to either control (no atropine) or treatment (0.5 mg atropine IV after cord clamping). The primary outcome was a combined PONV score: (1) vomiting episodes ≥ 1, (2) moderate-to-severe nausea/vomiting (VAS > 4), and (3) rescue antiemetic use. Secondary outcomes included atropine-related adverse effects. Results: The treatment group had significantly lower mean combined PONV scores (p < 0.001), fewer vomiting episodes (p = 0.035), less moderate-to-severe nausea (p = 0.002), and borderline reduced rescue antiemetic use (p = 0.05). No significant adverse effects were observed. Conclusion: IV atropine sulphate 0.5 mg after cord clamping effectively reduces motion-related PONV in ERACS cesarean patients without notable side effects.   Keywords: atropine sulphate, cesarean section, ERACS, PONV vestibular pathway

    ANALISIS PUTUSAN TIDAK DAPAT DITERIMA (NIET ONTVANKELIJKE VERKLAARD) DALAM PERKARA WARIS

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis putusan tidak dapat diterima (Niet Ontvankelijke Verklaard) dalam perkara waris tahun 2019 di Pengadilan Agama Praya dengan fokus pada prosedur penyelesaian dan ijtihad majelis hakim. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis prosedur penyelesaian gugatan yang diputus N.O, mengkaji ijtihad majelis hakim dalam menjatuhkan putusan N.O, dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab gugatan N.O. Menggunakan pendekatan hukum empiris kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan hakim dan petugas pengadilan, observasi persidangan, dan studi dokumentasi putusan. Hasil menunjukkan dari 56 perkara waris yang masuk, 23 perkara diputus N.O menempati posisi kedua terbanyak setelah putusan gugur. Prosedur penyelesaian mengikuti alur peradilan perdata umumnya namun pertimbangan hakim lebih fokus pada aspek formal gugatan. Ijtihad majelis hakim dilakukan melalui tiga tahap sistematis: penelaahan mendalam perkara sebelum sidang, analisis fakta persidangan dan objek sengketa, serta musyawarah majelis dengan pertimbangan filosofis, yuridis, dan sosiologis. Penelitian mengidentifikasi delapan faktor utama penyebab gugatan N.O: surat kuasa tidak sah, error in persona, objek sengketa tidak jelas, obscuur libel, ketidakhadiran pihak, ketidakjelasan penguasaan objek, dan ketidakrelevanan alat bukti. Secara teoritis, putusan N.O mencerminkan tension fundamental antara keadilan prosedural dan substantif, berfungsi sebagai gatekeeper mechanism untuk menjaga integritas sistem judicial. Penelitian merekomendasikan pengembangan sistem screening awal gugatan dan penguatan literasi hukum untuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas keadilan bagi masyarakat Indonesia.   Kata kunci:  Niet Ontvankelijke Verklaard, Perkara Waris, Ijtihad Hakim, Keadilan Prosedural.This study analyzes the inadmissible decisions (Niet Ontvankelijke Verklaard) in inheritance cases in 2019 at the Praya Religious Court, focusing on the settlement procedures and the judges' panel ijtihad. The research method employs an empirical legal approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results show that out of 56 inheritance cases filed in 2019, 23 cases were decided as N.O, ranking second highest after dismissed cases. The settlement procedure for N.O lawsuits follows the general civil court proceedings, but the judges' considerations focus more on the formal aspects of the lawsuit. The main factors causing N.O decisions include: invalid power of attorney, error in persona, unclear dispute objects, and obscuur libel lawsuits. The judges' panel ijtihad is conducted through three systematic stages: in-depth case examination, trial fact analysis, and panel deliberation with philosophical, juridical, and sociological considerations. Theoretically, N.O decisions reflect the fundamental tension between procedural and substantive justice, functioning as a gatekeeper mechanism to maintain judicial system integrity. This research contributes to understanding the implementation of responsible judicial activism in balancing strict application of procedural rules with consideration of substantial justice
