The Responses of Maritime Department Students toward Online Learning at the third semester during the COVID-19 Pandemic at Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis
No full textThe aim of this study is to investigate the process of online learning in this pandemic as well as effective and optimal for students’ online learning. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic forced many universities to apply online learning. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data has collected by using observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Hopefully, this study will find which one is the most interesting online learning way by the lecturers to teach especially at the third semester students of Maritime Department, Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis. There are WhatsApp Group, Zoom, Google Meet and Google Classroom that the lecturers always use at this department. The study will suggest for students in online learning and the development of other media to implement effective online lectures that other researchers expose the solution to get more experience.Keywords: Students, Responses, Learning, Pandemi
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING THROUGH MAKING ENGLISH VLOGS TO IMPROVE STUDENTS SPEAKING ABILITY
No full textThis research is focused on developing students' speaking ability through Project Based Learning method by making vlogs about Pariaman Tourism. This is based on the findings of previous research which showed that the majority of students at the University of West Sumatra still have low English skills. The design of this research is a quasi-experimental research that wants to know the effect of Project Based Learning by making vlogs on the speaking ability of students at the University of West Sumatra. To determine the students' speaking ability, this study used a speaking test, through three pre-test and post-test. The pre-test was used to see the speaking ability before undergoing treatment and the posttest was used to see the difference in students' speaking scores after being given treatment. The research subjects were students from the Management Department at the University of West Sumatra who took English class 2. The data found showed that Project Based Learning using vlogs had a significant effect on students' speaking skills. This conclusion can be seen based on the analysis that has been carried out where t table t is observed. t observed = 3.80 and t table 2.30 with a standard significance of 0.05. So, it can be concluded that students' speaking skills can be improved by using the Project Based Learning method in making vlogs
INTEGRATION MODEL TPB AND PERCEIVED RISK OF INTENTION OF USE APPLICATIONS AND GAMES ONLINE FREEMIUM PAID VERSION: INDONESIAN STUDENTS CONTEXT
Get PDFThis study examines how the Theory of Planned Behavior and perceived risk can affect the intention to switch users of free versions of freemium online applications and games to use paid versions of freemium online applications and games. Data was collected using an online questionnaire which was distributed to 226 students at several universities in Indonesia. This study was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Amos. The results showed that attitude proved to have a positive effect on intention. Subjective norms proved to have a positive effect on perceived behavioral control and attitudes. Perceived behavioral control has a positive effect on attitudes and intentions. Subjective norms were not shown to have a negative effect on intentions. Perceived performance risk does not affect attitudes and intentions to use freemium paid versions of online applications and games
Prediksi Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa Bekerja Paruh Waktu Menggunakan Artificial Neural Network
Get PDFIntisari–Mahasiswa yang bekerja paruh waktu dituntut agar bisa membagi waktu mereka secara efektif dan efisien antara waktu untuk bekerja dan dan waktu untuk kuliah. Prediksi terhadap mereka yang kuliah sambil bekerja diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu pertimbangan kebijakan bagi pihak akademik agar mahasiswa yang bekerja sambil bekerja dapat menyelesaikan masa studi mereka secara tepat waktu. Penelitian ini di mulai dengan tahapan mengumpulkan data mahasiswa yang kuliah sambil bekerja untuk selanjutnya dilakukan proses data cleaning. Data lalu dibagi atas dua kelompok data yaitu data training dan data testing yang dinormalisasi dengan metode min-max. Algoritma neural network digunakan untuk melakukan prediksi terhadap hasil studi bagi mereka yang kuliah sambil bekerja yang di kategorikan dalam 3 label. Optimasi dilakukan terhadap parameter dengan memamfaatkan perangkat optimize parameter. Pada pengujian model, parameter yang ditampilkan berupa training cycle, learning rate, momentum, akurasi dan nilai RMSE dengan rentang nilai learning rate dan momentum 0,1 sampai dengan 0,9, dengan fungsi aktivasi sigmoid. Validasi nilai terbaik didapat pada training cycle 201, learning rate 0,74, momentum 0,9 dengan nilai akurasi 89,62%, RMSE 0,263 dengan nilai k-fold=3

Dengan semakin berkembangnya bisnis PT XYZ, sistem autentikasi aplikasi menjadi prioritas utama untuk dikembangkan. Dengan menggunakan MAC address, sistem autentikasi tidak hanya terbatas pada username dan password, tetapi juga membatasi perangkat tertentu. Permasalah pada JavaScript adalah tidak dapat memperoleh MAC address perangkat secara langsung. Penelitian ini membangun sistem yang dapat memperoleh MAC address menggunakan fungsi JavascriptBindings yang terdapat pada Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python. Penggunakan CEF Python, MAC address dapat diperoleh kemudian diintegrasikan ke dalam JavaScript menggunakan fungsi JavascriptBindings. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi sistem dapat membantu PT XYZ dalam meningkatkan sistem autentikasi aplikasi
Implementasi Augmented Reality Media Pengenalan Hardware Dengan Metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle Dan Prototype
Get PDFLearning activities at SD Islam Plus Masyithoh that teachers apply tend to be conventional, as in the introduction of computer hardware. The learning requires teaching aids to improve students' understanding, but the limited facilities make it difficult for students to understand computer hardware. Augmented Reality technology can provide a solution by applying markers as targets to visualize computer hardware into 3D objects in the system using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle and Prototype software development methods. This method uses the black box testing method to develop multimedia software systems in testing the application. The results obtained from BlackBox testing show that all application features' functions can run well. Then usability testing with the System Usability Scale method. The data taken are 30 samples of questionnaire data that 4th-grade students have filled out. In the test obtained, the average value of SUS is 83.1. So it can interpretation that the application testing receives a grade of "B" with the predicate "Excellent", and the conclusion in the Acceptability Ranges category is "High", with a high range of user acceptance of the application

Get PDFPeningkatan nilai perusahaan yang tinggi akan mencerminkan nilai saham yang stabil dan mengalami kenaikan jangka panjang. Dengan adanya permasalahan yang terjadi terkait dengan nilai perusahaan yang dicerminkan melalui harga saham perusahaan pertambangan, hal tersebut di jelaskan melalui Indeks harga saham pertambangan yang mengalami penurunan harga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh manajemen risiko perusahaan dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Metode pengumpulan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di bursa efek Indonesia (BEI) selama 2017-2020, Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 49 perusahaan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan menggunakan software SPSS versi 25.Hasil penelitian secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa manajemen risiko perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan, dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. Secara simultan, seluruh variabel independen dalam penilitian ini berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. Kata kunci: nilai perusahaan, manajemen risiko perusahaan, ukuran perusahaan

The population in this study were 156 business owners and the data collection technique used was a questionnaire, the analysis prerequisite test used was the validity test and the reliability test. The results of the study show that the level of knowledge and understanding of taxpayers is categorized as good, for the level of compliance of taxpayers is categorized as sufficient while the ability of taxpayers to carry out their tax obligations is categorized as not good.Keywords:  Understanding of taxation, SME’s taxpayer Compliance, Tax ObligationsÂ

Café-Relevant Value and Brand Awareness on Purchase Intention: Empirical Study of Local Brand Cafe
No full textThe importance of this study is discussed to determine the intensity of purchases resulting from cafe-relevant value, as well as the impact of brand awareness through e-wom. Two hundred forty-six respondents were used as coffee lovers in cafes, most used questionnaires and interviews as data collection methodologies. This study analyzed data from e-WOM-mediated path analysis on purchase intention using SEM-PLS multiple path analysis. The research findings have a positive relationship between cafe relevant value and brand awareness in influencing e-wom and a direct positive contribution between café-relevant value and brand awareness on purchase intention. So, it is proven that e-wom has the potential to increase the intensity of coffee purchases in cafes
