DESIGNING ENGLISH LEARNING WORKSHEETS FOR READING AND WRITING SKILLS QUALIFYING ON HOTS FOR THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS
Get PDFAbstract: The aims of this study are to find out the learning needs of the tenth grade students and to develop effective English learning worksheets for reading and writing skills qualifying on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) for the tenth grade students. This research and development (RD) adopted the model research proposed by Dick, Carey, Carey (2009) and Branch (2009). This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Pakem, Sleman. The effectiveness of the product was obtained through students’ English pretest and posttest score. There was the experiment class (XMIA1) and control class (XMIA2) group design. The mean score for pretest of the experimental class was 47.44, while the control class was 43.91. After learning using HOTS worksheets in the experimental class the mean obtain in the posttest was 90.56, while in the control class was 50.31.  The improvement of learning outcomes from the mean of N -Gain in experimental class was 0.81 in high category and the control class was 0.10 in low category. In the control class and experiment class had different learning result significantly. The result of the students’ agreements toward the product is within the data interval  ≥ 3.28 in good category. It can be concluded that the product are fairly effective to be applied in English teaching and learning processes.Keywords: Needs analysis, higher order thinking skills, designing English learning workshee

No full textAbstrak Perkembangan teknologi, informasi dan komunikasi sangat besar pengaruhnya terhadap bidang kehidupan sehari- hari. Begitu juga pengaruhnya terhadap dunia perpustakaan, dimana perpustakaan dimulai dari perpustakaan tradisional terus berkembang menjadi perpustakaan semi  modern dan berkembang terus menjadi perpustakaan modern. Perpustakaan modern saat ini sudah menerapkan sistem informasi dan automasi perpustakaan serta digitalisasi perpustakaan. Sistem informasi perpustakaan sudah banyak dibangun oleh  pihak-pihak pembangun sistem baik bersifat komersial maupun open source dengan fitur-fitur yang beragam. Oleh sebab itu pada penelitian ini penulis juga tertarik membangun sebuah sistem informasi dan automasi perpustakaan berbasis web. Sistem informasi dan automasi perpustakaan yang penulis bangun ini memiliki fitur seperti mulai dari automasi manajemen pengguna sistem yang sudah include qrcode dan barcode serta tingkatan pengguna mulai dari administrator sampai anggota. Kemudian terdapat fitur automasi manajemen koleksi dan repository koleksi (koleksi digital) yang sudah include qrcode dan barcode. Juga ada fitur automasi sirkulasi koleksi (transaksi peminjaman, pengembalian dan perpanjangan), booking koleksi, katalog dan pencarian koleksi, statistik dan laporan sistem.  Kata kunci : Perpustakaan, Sistem Perpustakaan, Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan, Automasi Perpustakaa

No full textAbstract: This research investigated the model of budgetary participation to leadership styles. This model which is more focused in examination of previous research on job performance and job satisfaction with transactional and transformational variables as moderating variables is based on research by Adler  and  Reid  (2008).  SEM  techniques  used  to  collect  data  from questionnaires in the SKPD of the Yogyakarta Provincial Government, Indonesia. This research finds to explain that the behavior of executing the budget on transactional variables has a interaction which (between leader and follower) is a synergy making job relationship. The transformational variables in this research find the interaction which leader and follower are not in line in the job process and the results indicated the possibility of worsening on the job. This research purposed to meet that it is can contribute positively to the concept and build harmony between behavior, budget participation, and leadership style in budget participation. Keyword: transactional leadership, transformational leadership, budget participation, job performance and job satisfaction

No full text Abstract:The Attitude is how the individual understand, experienced, reacted, and act toward and object, while work performance appraisal is evaluate the performance of employees according from the quality or the quantity standard that employees done. The purpose of this research are to know the attitude and work performance appraisal from employees perspective and to know the attitude and work performance appraisal from leadership perspective in PT. Bank Riau Kepri, Branch of Bengkalis. The Method use in this research was a comparative. The sampling technique in this research was used non probability sampling with 32 respodents. This research used primary data were collected using a questionnaire and interview. The results showed that from employees perspective the attitude categorized as very high with total score 4,30, that is mean employees assume that the attitude shown during work is very good. While for work performance appraisal categorized as high with total score4,14, that is mean employees assume that the performance shown during work is good. From leadership perspective the attitude that employees shown shown to the leadership, co-worker, and customer is consider good, and employeesperformance is also good and in accordance with the target set. Keywords: Attitude, Work Performance appraisa

No full textAbsract :This study aims to determine the model of marketing stimuli for consumers teenagers, especially students in Bengkalis by the response they give the market encouragement that they received. Data collected in a non-probability sampling of 245 respondents with methods survey. Data collected through questionnaires with observational techniques. The results showed that the tendency of the responses given to the marketing stimuli is low. No full textAbstrak Dalam usaha meningkatkan mutu kehidupan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi  pedesaan, energi listrik memiliki peranan yang sangat penting. Desa Lubuk Muda Kec. Siak Kecil, Kab.Bengkalis memiliki potensi aliran sungai (kanal)  yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH). Bangunan PLTMH yang akan dirancang dan dibangun ini akan menggunakan saluran air dengan penambahan pipa pesat dalam saluran air, kincir air, dan sistem kelistrikan. Pada penelitian ini difokuskan untuk merancang dan membuat kincir air dan pulley yang sesuai untuk menunjang kinerja dari  sistem PLTMH. Hasil pangujian di lapangan dan ditunjang dengan pemilihan peralatan  yang tepat, maka hasil rancang bangun PLTMH ini diperoleh kapasitas daya pembangkitan sebesar 3,3 kW . Angka  ini masih ada perberbedaan jika dibandingan dengan daya teoritis pada perancangan yang sebesar 4,26 kW. Sehingga secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembangkit listrik ini baru mencapai tingkat akurasi sebesar 77% dari yang diharapkan. Kata kunci : PLTMH, Kincir Air, Saluran Air, Pulle

PEMANFAATAN SISA PEMBAKARAN SAMPAH UNTUK STABILISASI TANAH
No full textAbstrak Permasalahan sampah merupakan permasalahan yang terjadi hampir diseluruh kota di Indonesia, dimana sampah menumpuk dengan target olahan adalah didaur ulang menjadi kompos dan hanya sedikit yang mengelola kembali menjadi barang siap pakai. Sampah yang tersisa atau tidak dipakai akan dibakar, sehingga hasil sisa pembakarannya akan menjadi tumpukan yang dapat menyebabkan timbulnya sumber penyakit. Untuk menghindari hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan suatu kajian inovasi terhadap pemanfaatan sampah yang dibakar tersebut menjadi sesuatu yang dapat digunakan, sehingga perlu dicoba penggunaan hasil sisa pembakaran (sampah) sebagai bahan stabilisasi dan diharapkan pencampuran tanah asli dengan sisa pembakaran akan meningkat nilai CBR dari tanah tersebut. Jika hal ini berhasil dilaksanakan, maka hal ini dapat menjadi salah satu cara untuk mengendalikan penumpukan sampah yang ada khususnya di kota Bengkalis. Hasil dari pengujian ini menunjukkan bahwa tanah  yang  distabilisasi dengan abu sisa pembakaran sampah campuran 5 % , 10 %, dan 15 % mempunyai nilai CBR sebesar 2,240% ; 2,051% ; 9,493% dengan jumah tumbukan 10 ; 35 ; 10 dan masa pemeraman 0 hari dari kondisi  tanah  asli  dengan  nilai CBR  sebesar 2,16%.  Hal ini membuktikan pengaruh adanya abu sisa pembakaran sampah pada tanah yang distabilisasi menyebabkan meningkatnya nilai daya dukung tanah. Kata kunci : sampah, CBR, stabilisasi tana
THE MAKING OF SMART TOWEL TO LEARN ENGLISH VOCABULARY FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

However, there are still many of the students cannot learn English Vocabulary well. They still face difficulties for example, in learning simple daily words. This situation, make students feel bored and lose their interest in learning English. Therefore, the use of learning media are needed to attract these learners attention and interest to learn English in more effective and interesting way. Besides, media can be used to learn English anywhere and anytime outside the school. Related to this research, the main purpose of this project is to make Smart Towels which can be used as an alternative self-learning medium in learning English Vocabulary. This project resulted Smart Towels consists of various themes suitable for Elementary School Students. These towels are modified from ordinary towels that is modified to make it look more interesting. These media can be used in and outside classes during learning-teaching process or spare time. STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION ON WRITING HORTATORY EXPOSITION BY USING POW PLUS TREE STRATEGY AT SMAN1 BUKIT BATU
Get PDFAbstract: The purpose of this research was to find out students’ writing motivation in hortatory exposition by using\ POW plus TREE strategy. The research was carried out at the eleventh grade students at SMAN 1 Bukit Batu This research was quantitative research. The population in this study was 26 students who were taken randomly. A set of questionnaire was distributed to 26 students regarding their motivation on writing hortatory exposition by using POW plus TREE strategy. In this research, measurement of these statements using 30 statements in questionnaire based on indicators to assess students’ motivation in writing hortatory exposition. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS 22 to know the normality, validity, and reliability of the instrument. The researcher measured the total score from the result of the students’ motivation in writing ability test. The results of this study showed that students had goodmotivation in writing hortatory exposition by using POW plus TREE strategy. Keywords: Motivation, writing, hortatory exposition, POW plus TREE
