    The growth of cattle majorly affected by the type of fodder and its digestion system. To gain the healthy growth, cattle fed green grass and additional concentrate in form of mixed agricultural wastes such as rice straw, corn straw, etc and tofu residues in cattle fodder. Since cattle have no upper incisor, (insisivus), it use combination of its molar and its tongue to cut the grass or rice straw or corn straw, as the result more fodder like fresh grass, rice straws or corn scraws are wasted. If the wasted re-use by giving it back to cattle, it will not eat it, so it will cause inefficiency in feeding livestock. In order to solve that problem a chopping and mixing tool is needed, by using fuzzy method to control a dc motor constant speed to chopping grass, rice straws and corn straws, and then mixing with additional concentrate such as tofu wasted. Rice straws, corn straws and fresh grass are chopped in chopping section and mixed with tofu residues in the mixing section. When all the food material mixed and stired, the weight will be measures using a current sensor ACS712-20A. This sensor is used to measure the motor load. Furtheremore, if the more food materials place into this device, so, the faster the dc motor will rotate. When this device loaded 3000gr, the current measure is 4.53 ampere. The load position is not smooth will result the reading of the sensor always fluctuated.     Majarity of damages on the dam construction in Indonesia is caused by continuous local scouring at the end side of the dam construction. It grows and reach its lower/bottorm part. It could results in degradation in the dam operation safety. This local scouring was caused by major water flowing passing the dam where there is a high difference level between the top and the end of the dam. Furthermore, it generates inbalancing water flow speed and additional water turbulence. There are different approachs to prevent such damage, and for example by providing one or more additional construction at the end part of the dam. This structure is designed and installed at the bottom part of the dam. Various empirical functions have been developed to design this structure, and one of them is developed by Lacey. The function is reprsented by D = 0.47 * (Q/F)1/2 (D= scouring depth, Q= Discharge, F= the size of the sand particle). However, that function has some limitation. For examples are the local river and dam construction characteristics. Therefore, it is required to be validated by developing a model of dam contructed in a laboratory.     Sedimentation at estuary river have potency to cause floods because the narrowing of estuary as outlet. Sedimentation process can be caused by the so small river discharge at dry season so that cannot to flushing the sediment that happened at estuary mouth. When the rains arrive, river discharge which starting to big shall no long castaway to sea freely, so that causes floods in headwaters. Numerical simulation by using finite different method with Preissmann implicit scheme conducted to see ability of river discharge in early the rains to flushing the sediment in estuary mouth. Simulation was done at river with sediment elevation at + 4.00 m in estuary mouth. Boundary condition in the form of discharge hydrograph in early the rains at upstream boundary and also critical water surface elevation in sediment top and sea level at downstream boundary applied at model to see behavior of sediment transport and change of profile at bottom channel that happened. Simulation result show with 24 hours floods charge in early the rains, sediment volume of flushed equal to 20,52 %, with elevation reside at + 3,179 m. Sediment will fully under sea-water face after 9 days simulation. Change of upriver discharge and tidal elevation at downstream will influence to speed of stream that happened.     All parts of mangosteen are useable. In order to obtain some qulified mangosteen, it is need to make a belt conveyor sorting system which is able to sort based on it’s diameter and maturity.   To obtain the maturity decision it is used Sum Squared Error (SSE) methode which find the minimum error of image RGB value between mangoosten rind color and the color  templates. When need to derive the diameter, it is utilize the hough circle transform method.The results give 86% accuracy of maturity detection, 10.9% error accuracy of diameter measurements when mangosteen  stalks  are up and  3.4% error in diameter value when  mangoosteen stalks are down

    The development of the use of air conditioning machines (AC machines) is very high , due to the increased consumption of electricity for household needs are also increasing . Based on field observations of R22 refrigerant is still widely used in commercial air conditioning machines , where the refrigerant has properties that are not friendly to the environment . R410A refrigerant has been recommended to replace worn R22 . It became one of the rationale for conducting the assessment directly to efforts to reduce electricity consumption due to the use of air conditioning machines in the household and the efforts to preserve the environment . The research was conducted on a commercial air conditioning machines by testing the engine for both types of refrigerant ( R22 and R410A ) . Testing the engine characteristics , tested by varying the refrigerant mass flow rate for both refrigerants . The test results showed , electricity consumption ( compressor power ) for the use of both types of refrigerants is similar but uses R410A refrigerant produces a greater cooling effect than by using refrigerant R22 . In Overall effect of the variation of mass flow rate for both refrigerants clearly evident , the increase in mass flow rate causes enhancement of several variables such as the increase in compressor power , cooling effect , the effect of heat release , but for the coeficient of perfomance ( COP ) , the addition of the mass flow rate after COP The optimum value of the COP does not increase anymore . In this study, the highest COP values obtained in the refrigerant mass flow rate 3.4 g / s for R410A and R22 for 1.9 has the highest COP of 1.7 at a flow rate of refrigerant mass 3 g / s .     Together with advancement in transportation technology, there is a need to study current technology on transportation. Various research have been conducted on pavement to achieve a strong, durable, and economic construction. One of the constructions is Hot Rolled Sheet – Wearing Course (HRS-WC) or widely known as thin concrete asphaltic layer. Concrete asphalt is a flexible pavement with high structural strength and widely used in Indonesia as road pavement. Therefore the characteristic of the mixture is highly affected by type and percentage of filler in the mixture. In the last two decades, design methods are developed based on analytical method which require stiffness modulus and structural values of the material. During this period many research have been conducted on the methods to improve performance of asphaltic concrete by modification of materials as well as material substitution.The main objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of substitution of standard filler of HRS-WC with clay mineral from Gunung Sarik, Padang, on Marshall properties parameters such as stability, density, VIM, VMA, VFB, flow, and MQ. This aim is achieved by analyzing Marshall properties of the mixtures.Our study shows that the substitution of standard filler with clay mineral from Gunung Sarik with variations from 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% has no significant impact on optimum asphalt content and other Marshall properties such as Density, VIM, VMA, and Flow. These values do not vary from mixtures using standard filler

    Palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) fiber content ± 70 % and can be used for elastic    fiber, matrix, mattresses, rugs and raw material fiber -based composite board products, but until now has not been utilized to the fullest . The problem is not the availability of processing unit generates EFB fiber in small scale . One of them is the processing unit thrasher EFB. EFB counter technology that exists today is a large scale that can only be owned by the oil palm industry with a capacity of ± 4,124 kg/hour. For small-scale fiber industry needs a minimum engine capacity of census enumerators ± 300 kg/hour, but this machine is not yet commercially available.In general, the purpose of this research is small scale EFB cutting machines with a capacity of 200-300 kg/hour, the design parameters and identify optimum operating conditions for each component with the technical test of the prototype. From the results obtained machine design an engine capacity of 300 kg/hour, with a few major components, namely counter unit, unit funnel in and out, frame and drive unit . From the results of design calculations obtained engine power 15 hp motor drive with 1450 RPM rotation with 3 phase. From the results of the testing machine in the first enumeration results obtained by the size of the pieces of shredded EFB ± 7 x 7 ( cm ), while the second enumeration stage shredded EFB size becoming smaller ± 3 x 3 ( cm )
