Full text linkDie Kompetenzanforderungen an Bewerber*innen für Positionen im höheren Dienst an wissenschaftlichen und öffentlichen Bibliotheken verändern sich im Zuge der digitalen Transformation dynamisch. Um diese Anforderungen und ihre Veränderungen vollständig und evidenzbasiert zu identifizieren, ist ein systematisches Monitoring der relevanten Stellenausschreibungen erforderlich.
Die Erfassung und Analyse der relevanten Ausschreibungen für Stellen im höheren Dienst erfolgt im MALIS-Studiengang der TH Köln seit Januar 2022 lückenlos. Der Beitrag stellt das methodische Vorgehen, die Ergebnisse und die Konsequenzen für die Weiterentwicklung des Curriculums vor.The skills requirements for applicants for leading positions in academic and public libraries are changing dynamically in the course of the digital transformation. In order to identify these requirements and changes in a complete and evidence-based manner, systematic monitoring of the relevant job advertisements is required. Since January 2022, the MALIS programme at TH Köln has been seamlessly recording and analysing the relevant job advertisements for these positions. The article presents the methodological approach, the results and the consequences for the further development of the curriculum

Full text linkAcademic libraries are pivotal for advancing Open Science initiatives, as they serve as hubs for knowledge dissemination. However, strategies for communication about Open Science support that address the academic community are often shaped by policy objectives rather than by the needs of the target audience. This approach fails to resonate with researchers, the primary stakeholders in the Open Science ecosystem, and does not reflect the practical realities of conducting research. Therefore, the University of Groningen Library developed a dialogue-based communication approach. This strategy involves gathering input, building consensus, identifying multipliers, sharing best practices and letting researchers speak for themselves. In this article, we elaborate on this approach, highlighting critical tools: our Open Science Ambassadors, collaboration with grassroots initiatives, and interactive media strategies.
