MENGAPRESIASI SASTRA GENRE PUISI MELALUI KEGIATAN PARAFRASE PADA LIRIK LAGU “SAKITNYA TUH DI SINI”
Get PDFAbstract There are several ways to appreciate literature, especially poetry genre besides activities to understand the fundamental and elements contained in the literature. One of them is paraphrasing the song lyrics. Paraphrases activities were taught in schools ranging from Elementary, Junior High, Senior High and Universities. The results of this study can be used as the concrete illustration or creative and innovative literature learning alternative ways in literature appreciating activity. Paraphrase activity of poetry genre can be done through bound paraphrasing and free paraphrasing. This study uses qualitative descriptive method by analyzing the data and presenting it straightly. The result shows that the song lyric of “sakitnya tuh di sini” contains of disappointment because of infidelity lover or disappointed of betrayed love. Key Words: Literature, Paraphrase, Song Lyric.
PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MICROSOFT OFFICE POWERPOINT PADA POKOK BAHASAN PELUANG
Get PDFThe objectives of this research was to solve how to increase the students’ average result especially on the subject of Opportunities. This study aims to determine whether the students’ average result of the student Mathematic Education Department STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung (STKIP MPL) in the academic year of 2013-2014 using instructional teaching media using Microsoft Office PowerPoint on the subject of Opportunities, is better than the students’ average result without using instructional teaching media using Microsoft Office PowerPoint. This research is a quantitative approach, with a quasi-experimental research methods. The population was all of the students in third grade of the Mathematic Education Department STKIP MPL in the academic year of 2013-2014. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. Based on hypothesis test, it can be included that: 1) there are differences in students’ average results between experiment class that used computer teaching media using Microsoft Office PowerPoint and the kontrol class without using a computer teaching media using Microsoft Office PowerPoint; 2) the students’ average results at experiment class that used a computer teaching media using Microsoft Office PowerPoint higher than the students’ average results in kontrol class.Keywords: Teaching Media, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Subject of Opportunitie
DISTINGUISH ERRORS IN STUDENTS FINAL ORAL TEST OF PHONOLOGY CLASS
Get PDFAbstract The objectives of the study were finding the types of errors were made by the students in the final oral testand the causes of the errors. The method was using descriptive approach which concern in descriptive qualitative technique. The data collection method was using observation and interview. The steps of the data analysis were recording the student’s spoken, transcribing, eliminating, identifying, composite report. The result showed that the students gaps of the score because of three errors. They were pre systematic, systematic and post systematic errors. Those errors were affected by three causes. Get PDFCooperative principle plays an important role in communication. It is one of major principles which guide people’s communication. It’s application in spoken is interested the researcher to analyze the flouting of cooperative principle maxims in Interview between president Barack Obama and Robin Roberts of ABC News' "Good Morning America". This study aimed to find out which maxims are flouted in Barrack Obama’s interview. In collecting the data, the researcher used documentation. Descriptive qualitative method was employed in processing the transcription data. It was analyzed using the theory of Grice’ s conversational maxims. Having analyzed the data. The write found the result that there are eighteen flouts of maxims which found in the interview. Based on the finding, it can be concluded that the flouting of maxims also occurred in formal communication such as in president’s interview. PENDEKATAN NARATIF DALAM KONSELING RATIONAL EMOTIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY (REBT) UNTUK MENGELOLA EMOSI
Get PDFAbstract The research aims to obtain an overview of the effectiveness of the narrative approach in counseling Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to manage emotions. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental methods. The study design used is one group pretest-posttest design using purposive sampling technique. The samples were 6 students who score low emotion management. The instrument used in the form of guidelines for the interview to express emotion management profile of students in class X. The results showed that: (1) there are 6 students of 14 students interviewed, have a tendency to be difficult to manage emotions appropriately; (2) The narrative approach in counseling REBT apparently quite effective for improving emotional intelligence on aspects of self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, empathy, and social skills. This recommendation is addressed to the teacher guidance and counseling, further research, and study of Guidance and Counseling Program. Keywords: counseling REBT, narrative approach, manage emotions

This study employed quassi-experimental method with the non-equivalent control group. Purposive sampling technique was used to determine the simple. This study used non-parametric statistic analysis with level test (uji jenjang) signed ranks test and smirnov-kolmogorof method for dable sample group. Based on the finding, it can be concluded that career planning which applied earlier will develop responsibility attitude for students so they are able to develop their abaility as maximum as possible, and not to do deviation toward development duty. ENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE PROBLEM SOLVING PADA MATERI POKOK LINGKARAN
Get PDFLearning Mathematics in SMP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu tends to be teacher-centered learning process. Teacher as the main source of learning, students is less involved in discovering the science of Mathematics, the result of students’ achievement is low. From that condition it is very crucial to apply the alternative learning using cooperative model type problem solving. The aims of research are to know the differences of average score between students in control and experimental class and to know which one is higher of mathematics’ score between students in control and experiment class. The population of research is the students at eighth grade in even semester in SMP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu in the academic year of 2012/2013. The sample of research used cluster random sampling technique. The result of learning process is from test with 5 items of essay. The analysis of data using test of normality, test of homogeneity, those are as pre-requisite test before conducting t-test. From the result of data analysis, the average score of Mathematics in experiment class is 67.74 and control class is 58.21. The conclusions are; there is a significant difference between the average scores of Mathematics in experiment and control class. In addition, the average score of Mathematics in experiment class is higher than in control class.Keywords: Cooperative Learning Model, Problem Solving, Subject of Cyrcl
PEMBELAJARAN GARIS LURUS DENGAN MODEL ELICITING ACTIVITIES DAN TEAM ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATION DITINJAU DARI GAYA KOGNITIF
Get PDFThe aims of the research were to determine to the effect of learning models on mathematics achievement viewed from students cognitive style. The learning model compared were model elicting activities, team assisted Individualition, and direct instruction. The kind of research was a quasi experimental research with 3 x 2 factorial design. The population was the students of Junior high school in SMP N Pringsewu. The size of the sample was 208 students. The instruments used were mathematics achievement test and questionnaire. Hypothesis analysis test used two ways analysis of variance with unbalanced cells. The conclusions were as follow. model elicting activities gave better mathematics learning achievement than the students who used Cooperative Learning TAI type and Direct Instruction Assisted Powerpoint, and the students who used Cooperative Learning TAI type gave better mathematics learning achievement than the students who used Direct Instruction Assisted Powerpoint; For all types of students cognitive style give the different effect for mathematics learning achievement of students, In each model of learning, students with cognitive style types field independent gave better mathematics learning achievement than field dependent.Keywords: Kooperatif; MEas; TAI; Gaya Kogniti
INTEGRATING ROUNDTABLE BRAINSTORMING INTO TEAM PAIR SOLO TECHNIQUE FOR IMPROVING STUDENTS’ PARTICIPATION IN WRITING OF DESCRIPTIVE TEXTS
Get PDFThe objectives of the study are to find out the application of integration of roundtable brainstorming into team pair solo technique in writing of descriptive texts and to investigate the improvement of students’ participation and achievement after taught by using the integration of the techniques. This study was an action research which was carried out through a preliminary study, first and second cycle activities. The subjects of this study were VII grade students of State Junior High School no.1 Semaka, Tanggamus, Lampung consisting of thirty two students. To collect the data, the researcher used instruments inform of interview, observation sheets, writing tests, and questionnaires. The findings of the research showed that students’ participation improved from the preliminary study, first and second cycle. In the preliminary study there were twenty six students classified as poor, six students classified as fair and no student classified as good in participation. While in the first cycle there were three students classified as fair and twenty nine students classified as good in participation and in the second cycle all students were classified as good in participation. The students’ writing also improved. The average score of students writing in the preliminary study was 53.31, first cycle was 64.41, and second cycle was 72.56.Key words: Roundtable Brainstorming, Team Pair Solo Technique, Students’ Participation, Writing Descriptive Text
